The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Waltzing In The Foyer (Attn Anthony/Open to Order)
Getting Anthony to the Sanctuary hadn't taken very long at all and the storm had passed so they didn't get any wetter than they already were on the trek from the restaurant over to the magnificent golden doors. Even their pizza to go was still warm. The comment her companion had made about not having any friends hit rather close to home for her as well. She couldn't recall having any companions before she'd found her way to the Sanctuary, either. Now she had a whole group of individuals that she highly prized as her best friends. "Well you can have me as a friend now. And everyone in the Order is pretty good about playing nice with each other. I'm sure they'll warm up to you fairly soon," she assured him as she climbed the steps to the golden entrance and pushed the doors open, allowing him to enter before she did.
As per usual Lisa was at her desk still, tapping away at her keyboard and occasionally shuffling through a small stack of papers, many of which disappeared into various drawers in the process. "Hi Lisa!" she greeted, giving a small wave to the Receptionist as she did so. "Found a new resident!" Lisa simply gave a small smile and a nod in the young man's direction before returning to her work. "She doesn't always say much, but she's a fantastic worker. I don't think she's ever even taken a day off in the couple of years this place had been up and running," she continued, this time turning to Anthony. "As for fees, it's absolutely free to live here, though you'll have to fill out a residential form at some point. We like to keep track of the people that are here." She'd pick them up for her newest companion later on. It didn't have to be done immediately, so long as it was actually done.
"We're exclusive enough not to let just anyone show up and declare themselves a member. We usually keep an eye out for people we might run into who have the right kind of potential," she went on to answer his question. "You've certainly got the right mindset for our line of work. But, I think the thing Syn prizes the most is loyalty. She's the leader of the Order, by the way. We don't want people coming and going and running their mouths to everyone they meet. We're underground, if I haven't said that already, so we need the cooperation of our members if we're to keep everything running the way we want it to." That's not to say that they didn't let their members have any fun or anything. Isabel was probably one of the members that was most likely to exercise her freedom and cause problems whenever she saw fit. No one seemed to mind so long as it didn't jeopardize the faction in some way. "Now, is there anything you want to see around here? The place is pretty big, and you've got all the time in the world, so there's no rush or anything. Or maybe you'd rather find a room and just relax after your training in the park and fun with the waiter?"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Heaven was what he could compare this place too. The soft colors the warmth, even the little secretary reminded him of a nice place. The golden doors were a stark contrast to what he was used to walking through on a regular basis but he could handle that change easily. Sweeping his eyes around the area as Isabel spoke he started to formulate his own ideas and plans for his future here. Laughing slightly, "Where do I sign?" His eyes sparkling with hope and resolve.
"well how about a tour, since I have already gotten a shower this evening?" he smiled as he slipped a slice of pizza from his box with a deft hand and began to eat it rather hungrily. His childish side showing with each bite. "I mean if you are up to it of course... I would lvoe to met whomever I needed too or those you think I should meet." He looked at her like a kid at Christmas but with that hint of something still off about happiness. Eating another slice since his stomach just suddenly realized there was food heading it's way it began to demand it all.
"I understand the underground part, I may have 'flashy' gifts but I am no moron about using them, just don't expect me to take pictures, or sneak around at night.. doesn't work to well." He spoke in between bites, and wiping his mouth off. "Maybe we could eat and walk? unless there are some rules about food here?"
"The forms you need to be filled out can be given to you by Lisa, though you don't have to worry about them immediately," Isabel replied, returning the young man's smile. It was nice to see how eager the new Orderling was. It may very well have been one of her easiest recruiting attempts yet. Most people were a bit skeptical when it came to pledging their loyalties to any kind of group. Either way she adored gaining new members and watching her family grow as they inched their way closer to their goals for a more mutant-friendly world. The positive lift in the general attitude was a pleasant shift from the strain her emotions were having put on them recently.
"Sure, I could show you around," she agreed, slipping a slice of pizza out of her own box and taking a bite. She'd have to remember the name of that restaurant. Their pizza was quite good. "We've got plenty of places to look around in here. Training Room, Gym, Cafeteria, Library, Cathedral. And you can always wander around whenever you'd like, so you don't have to feel like you need to squeeze it all into one night. We can also find you a room on the way." The Sanctuary was made up of several floors, most of its rooms housed on the lower levels where humans could not reach them when the shelter had originally opened. Since then its occupants were largely made up of the mutant population. "And if we happen to run into anyone who is also one of my Orderlings, I'll be more than happy to allow introductions and some chatting. I don't know how many we might happen upon. We tend to be spread out fairly often, doing out own thing. Though you can be certain we help each other out in an instant when we can."
she gave a small chuckle at the comment about Anthony's flashiness. A bit of glowing was hardly considered a large problem for the Order. "Standing out isn't usually much of an issue. We just try not to let people know we belong to a faction while we do so. I think I might just be one of the most troublesome members for them right now. I can't count how many times my pictures have been posted up on the news and in the papers. I'm not exactly a model citizen." A wide grin spread across her face as she spoke, bits and pieces of random memories flitting through her mind. She was infinitely grateful that the Order allowed her to have her fun. She might have gone crazy if she had to be a properly polite young lady at all times. "Nope, no rules about eating on the move. Any idea where you'd like to go first?"
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
"Well a room would be nice, then maybe see the training rooms?" He smiled as he finally started to feel more at home here, than he had anywhere in a long time. Getting another peice from his own box he chewed quietly as he followed her through the massive complex.
"So, uhm.... Are there like scheduled tasks or chores that need done?" He spoke after swallowing. Taking another bite smiling at the warm texture of their pizza. Looking around at the nice decore, wishing he could one day afford to own his own place like this. "I mean I am up for anything... it's the least I can do for The Orders hospitality."
