((OOC: Solo one shot ~ feel free to mention Ghost being on TV in future posts! )) "We're here at the site of a horrific attack where not two months ago, The Full Circle Bookstore was bombarded by angry people attending a protest of the mutant X-gene. After a mutant allegedly used their power in the window of the store, the protestors were whipped up into a crazed frenzy throwing rocks, shoes, and really anything they could. A group of mutants were trapped inside the store, and after a valiant effort by the police force to separate the two militant sides, shots were fired."Some of the details were a bit sketchy, but it was passable and so Ghost did not correct her interviewer. Besides, wouldn't that be embarrassing to be corrected on TV? The camera panned over the the ready and waiting Vega Altair as the anchor woman stepped toward her. "We're here with one of the employees here, a survivor of this brutal attack. Miss Altair, I understand you were shot." The spongey microphone wand waved from the anchor woman's mouth to rest in front of Ghost's mouth. "That's right, Ma'am, once in the shoulder and once in the torso. Both were thankfully glancing blows." She pointed to the general areas where she had been wounded. They were hidden beneath a deep blue dress that would have looked entirely appropriate at tea time had the front not been cut uncomfortably low for Ghost's tastes. She had decided on that cut because it covered her shoulder wound or rather - the lack of her shoulder wound. Humans just weren't used to thinking about healers and faster recovery times. It just wasn't natural. "And I understand that the store owners no longer wish to operate the bookstore?" Again the wand waved to Ghost. "Yes, I was only a store clerk, but after much research and the support of some external investors, I got the capitol to buy the store. We've refurbished everything that was damaged in the unfortunate event this January and are currently working on restocking and hiring. The Grand Re-opening will be in three days, March 25th. It is my intention to keep the Full Circle open to all the public in its full glory as it always was before the incident.""And what made you decide to re-open the store? I mean, this was the place where you were shot.""My mom always told me that if life give you lemons, you're supposed to make lemonade. It was an accident that I was injured here and that this is the site of anti-mutant sentiment. I've really come to love this place, and I would hate for this store to close on a sad note. It is my intention to make the Full Circle a place of truly equal opportunity employment. A place where humans and mutants are welcome."Perfectly plucked eyebrows arched and she smiled to the camera, taking the full focus of the screen again. "Well, you heard it here first. This is Kathy Lee with KTFXNY, Morning News you can Trust." The light flicked off the camera and everyone started shaking each others hands. Good wrap, good job, nice work and all of that was floating around, but the anchor woman went back to Ghost who was digging her keys out to pop into the store and finish some stocking. "You really believe that?"Startled, Ghost looked up. "Of course. Why else would I be doing all this?""Hope you make it, kid. For all our sakessss." She flicked a forked tongue at Ghost and she smiled, encouraged.
