The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The weather seemed surprisingly nice for early March. People where outside, seeming just happy to be able to go outside for the fist time in weeks without freezing. Well, they still had jackets on. Most people did anyway....
About a block away from the large complex know as the mention, a young girl landed on the ground with great ease. She had on a light blue peasant skirt, a matching tank top as well as some tan sandals and a dark blue cloak. Her bright, light colored eyes looked around as her pale hand reached up and brushed some for her waist length silver hair out of her face. What was most unusual about this is the fact that she had two large silver and blue dragon wings coming out of her back. She looked around again, looking at the numbers on the building. After a few moments she set down the back she was holding her her left hand and pulled out a letter she had in her pocket. She looked at the address on the letter then once again at the buildings. Seems she was a few number off. Sil turned and looked up and down the block to try and figure out which way she needed to go. Unable to decided she sighed as she stuffed the letter back in her pocket, picked up her bag and spread her wings again.
With just a few flaps she was air board again. She kept gaining hight until she could see about the trees, then she looked around for a mansion that matched what she was told about. After a moment of two she spotted the grounds and flew over to them. She was slowly losing height as she flew, she had been flying most of the day with a suitcase full of stuff. She managed to keep enough height so she could get over the gate and land just on the other side of it. This she set her bag down with an tired sigh and looked around. So this is were the X-men lived.
"So now where do I go?" she said with a sigh. At this point all she wanted was to take a nap and maybe eat something.
A voice piped up from behind her and to the right. Koga had been basking in the sun it was a warm day and he had found a nice warm spot near the gate on the outer wall. He had been warned there might be some mutant protesters today but he didn't care and in fact would welcome them, maybe he could educate them some. So long as they were just shouting, it was no big deal, if they started throwing stuff though he would call one of the local elemental residents to bring down the pain.
"Well, I don't recommend sssneaking in, they tend to catch you pretty quick and then they think you are one of the onesss to watch."
Koga turned and spoke somewhat timidly from the wall, it wouldn't be polite to let her stumble through her first day. He was pretty sure he was safe as far as freaking her out went, even though his eyes were solid black and rather lizardy, his skin and hair were constantly changing with the back ground behind him and his forked tongue would cause him to lisp his S's. She had wings and a tail, and he a month ago would have been the one flipping out, but a day or two at the mansion changes your perspective and gives a pretty good grasp on first reactions.
He took a deep breath and tried to remain calm and friendly. His speech and public speaking class was helping him come out of his shell some. "I'm Ryuichi Koga, mossst call me Koga around here, Normally the new residentsss wait on the otherssside of the fence and pusssh the admisssssion button and then wait forever for sssomebody to walk out here and greet them, Me, I walked right in and thusss got framed asss one of the onessss, to watch." He shrugged and hopped down from the wall. "I'll help you find one of the greeters or at the very least the offices if you like. would you like help with your suitcase?" he offered while putting out a hand to help.
Koga was on the shorter side of puberty, His hair to cut and kept in a messy shoulder length. The color of his flesh and hair mimicked his surroundings, unless of course he concentrated. He was dressed casually but looked like he might be a bit cold natured.
At the sudden sound of someone's voice, Sil jumped a little; she wasn't expecting someone to be near or on the wall. She turned to find whomever had spoken to her. Upon seeing Koga, Sil blinked at him for a moment. More out of the shock of someone talking to her, then how he looked. Once she did get a look at him though, she found his eyes to be interesting as well as the fact that his skin was changing color like it was. Her head kind of tilted to the right as she looked at him. Suddenly she realized that it looked like she was staring and she straightened her head quickly with a slight blush on her face. After all, who was she to stare?
"Oh, I wasn't trying to sneak in..... I just thought it would be easier for me to fly over the gate. Should I go back and wait outside the gate?" she asked with her soft British accent. She was never good with talking to others, not after Kenshin... Oh! Her name!
"My name is Silvonas Ari Darshee. Most people call me Sil, unless they find another nice nickname for me. It is a pleasure to meet you Koga." she said politely with a small incline of her head. At the mention of the help to find someone and of her bag she smiled, "Thank you very much. I would love the help." She handed Koga her bag with a smile, glad that she didn't have to hold it anymore. It wasn't that the bag was heavy, she was just tired of holding the thing after two days of flying off and on.
After she handed over the bag she couldn't help but look around. She had heard so many things about the X-Men and the mansion they lived at. She had tons of questions and no idea what to ask first. Then again, maybe Koga had a question or two for her?
He took no offense at all at the quizzical look, it didn’t hold repulsion so he didn’t mind the stare of curiosity. You could learn the difference on the street pretty easily it was mostly in the eyebrows.
“definitely not necesssssary, to be honessst, I was ssspeaking from my own foolisssh expirence. “
“I think Sssil isss a good place to sssstart,” He noted the accent, though in new york everybody had some sort of accent. His own snakeish Japanese new Yorker was probably a bit odd but it didn’t matter here.
He took her bag lifted and put it over his shoulder. Manly. He presented the mansion to her as he began to walk up to it.
“My pleasssure, It hasssn’t been much more than a month sssince I wasss in your posssition, to be honest helping out other new ssstudentsss can be good for you to learn more about thisss place asss well, I guesss you will find out sssoon enough if you agree.” He took a breathe and forged on trying to keep the crack in his shall going. “Ssso Ssssil, where are you from?”
The gate to the front door was enough of a walk to have a long conversation, at their casual pace it would be plenty to get acquainted.
Sil was looking around at the mansion, not really watching where she was going and only half hearing what Koga was saying. As she walked, her left foot found a crack in the walkway and her toe got caught. She started to fall forward, but her wings flared out and her tail whipped out behind her and she soon got her balance without falling. Sil's face turned red at what she did. How could she not see that crack? She sighed as she kept walking
"Me? I am from a village on the Scotland border originally. My family move here to America about 4 years ago. Then again we had little choice but to leave Scotland," when she said the last part she had kind of a sad tone to her voice; although' you could tell she was trying not to sound sad.
"What about you? Where are you from?" she asked in a calm tone. Maybe she could make a friend her first day here.
Koga's hand imediately reached out to help break Sil's fall but her wings had everything taken care of, which was good,it didn't look like he was going to do much more than slow the fall. Koga listened to the first part and then nodded. He would definately hear her out if she had more to say about it but he wouldn't force the story from her, maybe she would tell him about it when she was more settled in, if she didn't tell him today.
"I am from peekssskill New, York Peek ssskill not Peekssss kill. Anyway I come from a japanese heritage, but I have only been there twice. When I found out I was a mutant my parents flipped out and called the cops...I had no Idea what was going on, Iwas just waking up, and attacked the officer so after that I had to runway." He took a breathe and sighed it out, he wasn't so much sad as tired. "Ssso,I guess my anwers after that day is here, I'm from Xavier's."
