The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

* A young teenage girl of 17 walked up to the gates of the mansion. Lucy looked through the bars of the gate seeing mostly grounds. The mansion was farther back. No one seemed to be out. She swept her sides out of her face. She put a duffle bag on the floor and began to search for a to some how buzz through the gates. * [glow=blue,2,300] " Theres got to be some way to get buzz through"[/glow] * Lucy said to herself.*
Quietly, a redheaded figure moved to the same gate that this Lucy girl was puzzled by. She wore a plain blue t-shirt and torn jeans. Her beautiful red hair was tangled up as if she had never heard of a hairbrush before, then again, for Fade, this was not a big deal, in fact, she thought her hair looked very nice. "Well, I guess no one's coming, better handle it myself." She said out loud, meaning for Lucy to hear her. Slowly, claws began to appear from her fingernails, raptor-like claws and she placed them gently on the brick column by the door. Instantly, the claws went right through the brick and clung inside of the hard material, yet the bricks were not damaged. "Care to join me?" Fade asked the girl before making another move.
*The radio beeped as Tricity was walking through the hallway breaking up a fight between two young boys who were fighting over a basketball.* "Hey! Knock it off, guys! There's plenty of basketballs in the storage room." *She picked up the radio off her belt and replied.* "Yea?" john: "There are two girls at the gate and I think one is phasing through the wall...Should I turn the security system off?" *Tricity grabbed the clipboard from her shoulder bag to look over the notes.* "Yes...I don't think they would be trying to sneak in during the day time." john: "Check. You heading out there now?" "Yea. I'll check back in a few." *Tricity clipped the radio back on and jogged down the stairs to head outside. She pulled open the big front doors of the mansion and began crossing the huge lawn toward the gates. She used her mutation and turned the lock of the gate off, letting it swing open for the girls.* "We have a security system in place, so it's best to not come through that way." *She said smiling.* "So, what are your names?"
Fade quickly let go of the wall and blushed alittle Way to start out fresh, you might already be in trouble she thought to herself. "Sorry, I just d-didn't think anyone was goingn to come out and...um...you know...welcome us, I guess are the right words." Fade turned her claws invisible again and scratched the back of her neck, looking as though her hands just hovered over the skin. "Oh, um, my name is Jenny, but I don't typically go by that. I go by Fade. And I haven't gotten who this is yet." Fade said, pointing to the girl next to her.
*Tricity smiled at Fade and then looked over at the new girl. She recognized her from Xavier's other mansion. It was Lucy who had left before.* "Hi Lucy. Professor Xaiver said you would be moving here now, so your room has been set up for you. If you go in and make a left, Johnathon is at the security station. He will show you were you're staying." *Lucy nodded and started off toward the mansion. Tricity looked back to Fade.* "Well, I know that you don't formerly have an invitation here, but that's ok. I'll need to ask you a few questions though before we go in. First off, my name is Delilah Rose Tipper or Tricity as the adults call me. Delilah or Ms. Tipper is fine, though. Secondly, I need to know how old you are, where you're from, and specifics about your mutation. Reasoning is I need to know if you're a danger to yourself or others."
Fade smiled, finding out that she needed an invitation, luckily, she just had to answer some questions. "Gladly, I am 16, I think, I don't really have anywhere that I'm from, I guess you can say that i am from around here, just not a specific area. Um, my ability? I can turn invisible, I don't believe I am a threat to others, I just can't turn too many things invisible. Um...I can turn things that I am in contact with invisible, but, yea, I already said that I can't turn too many things invisible, even if I am touching them. Oh, and my claws!" Fade took her hand from behind her neck and turned her nails visible. "They don't hurt people, they just go through walls without damaging them and then cling on so i can climb them, no threat there either, I believe."
*Tricity looked the girl over and it seemed she was rather frazzled.* "Ok, so your mutation isn't a danger. That's a big plus!" *She said, smiling at the girl. Tricity hoped this next question wouldn't be too hurtful.* "You don't know where you came from?"
Fade began making funny movements with her lips as she dazed off into the sky. She suddenly snapped back and looked at Delilah. "Nope. I had a home, then was kidnapped, then I was found and told my family was dead and I was sent to stay with foster parents. They were nice, until I got my power, then they were scared and looked me in my room, I was in 2nd grade. So, I had choice, I escaped. I live on the streets, no home, no family, nothing. I just heard from someone a long time ago that this is the place for someone like me to stay, I ignored it until today. If I'm not welcome, I can just go back." Fade added, a bit scared of her answering that she was not welcome.
"No, no! You are quite welcome. It's better you stay here, then on the streets." *Tricity was glad General Whitmore hadn't gotten to her yet, since Fade was homeless. A thought suddenly occured to her and she radioed Johnathon to tell the technobot to come outside.* "A small robot is going to come outside and do a scan to check for a green gem. You haven't encountered anyone trying to kidnap you again, have you? They would be military types." *The technot bot moved along the grass toward Tricity.*
Well, there's always the occasional cop on my tail or maybe 5 people have recognized me from missing persons. Other than that, no, haven't done anything to make the military mad, well, at least, not that I know of. What's with the green gem?" She asked, watching the robot approaching her.
"There's a dangerous man named General Whitmore who is using a green gem to implant in mutants he finds off the street. He then needs to find a red gem to control the green gem which in turn controls mutants. He's been putting shards of the green gem in mutants to subconsciously give them specific orders and then releases some of the mutants back into the world. Most of them don't recall ever being captured. So, if Whitmore finds this red gem to control the green gem, we're in big trouble. I know it probably sounds confusing." *The technobot rolled up to Fade and scanned her entirely, giving them a good report of no green gem found.* "Thanks, Elvis." *She looked over at Fade after mentioning the technobot's name.* "Don't ask..."
"Yea, I agree. Uh, you can go back in now, Elvis, thank you." *The small robot turned around and headed back into the mansion.* "Cassiel, this is Fade. She's a newbie."
Mike offered his hand to the girl, seemingly aware of her claws by the way he positioned his hand. "Hi, I'm Mike," he said, smiling charmingly as he joined the group.
"So I take it there's no emergency? I felt John flipping out while I was getting out of the shower."
*She answered him back telepathically.* "Probably because there's a new attractive girl to pursue..." *Tricity turned to Fade and the three started walking inside.* "Welcome to the mansion. You're old enough to have your own room, so feel free to take an empty one, it will be furnished."
