Slade smiled, he was glad she was still keeping up with the good old ways. Slade couldn't really go into what he did too much, the binding rules of secrecy stopped him from telling her specifically about the kabal and its activiies. "Same old with me, some enforcement and escort duty. I think I'm heading out to Australia soon under pay to help with the civil war. Kind of sucks if you ask me..." As punishment for his blunders recently, mr Antonescu was sending him out on babysitting duty for the humans. Waste of time if you asked Slade, without true international intervention that war wasn't going to end any time soon. But he did as his employer asked, the fact that he wasn't scrap metal was mercy enough!
"Other than that not much really, I've been trying to find my brother but that's a lost cause considering the workload I'm going to have on my plate. Just need to get the stint in Oz over and done with, then I can get back here and see more of Airyn." Slade frowned softly on this, Australia was really going to be tough. Not because of the missions but simply because he still had so much to do here. He wanted to see as much of Airyn as possible while she was growing up, ever since she'd been born Slade had found her to completely fantastic in every way. He didn't want to miss any of it...

“Ah yes. The civil war.” Sara sighed and sipped at her tea. They had pax students over seas at the moment on a mission with some of the instructors. She didn’t know how much she really agreed with sending the students into the danger zones but they had planned for everything they possibly could.
The talk about Slade’s brother pulled Sara back to reality and where she was. She set her cup down and her lips pressed together before she started to offer the resources she had available to her. “At the bonds office we have some extensive, and highly effective search programs. I understand if you don’t want other people poking their noses around in your business, but if you want, I can have my boss, and I, take a look there and see if anything comes up.” Her eyes were hopeful as she looked up at Slade. She didn’t want to push, but she didn’t like just sitting on the sidelines when a friend needed something. “He’ll want to charge you for the use of his programs, but if I can’t convince him to do the search for free, I’ll pay.”
Then maybe when Slade got back he could do more of what he really wanted. Airyn seemed so sweet, for Sara’s first meeting her.
