The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kage sat on the roof, having both his arms bandaged. The bandages were a burnt black, and smoke was rising up from them, as his flesh was burning. His entire body was burning.

Daria began to walk back towrds the mansion to her room. The sun was annoying her and she wanted to take a nap, or eat the tuna sandwich she had in the mini fridge. On her way though she could see a cloud of black smoke rising from the roof. No one near by seemed concerned and Daria was close enough to teleport to the rooftop. Thinking some one might be in trouble she concentrated and felt her body move upward. It was a stretch but she landed heavily beside a grey skinned girl with white hair. After meeting Kaia, Daria began to wonder exactly how many mutants were as different looking as herself. She tapped the girl on the shoulder "what happened?"

Daria winced at the girl's shocked look. So many people had given her looks like that but she figured she had just startled the girl and it wasn't the cat ears. She wanted to help. "Is there anything I can do?"
" You....You can..... Take Cover........... " Kage said, The flesh rising up off of his arms, as thick smoke poored from his body, into the air. Kage was trying to fight it, but it was so overwhelming. " R...ru...run..... " Kage's eyes shot open, as they turned to a blood red color, including his Pupil. His memory had come flying back to him. He remembered that he was a Myriddon, a dangerous half human, half dragon warrior, and that he was not very much of a "Good Guy" . " DAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" The cry echoed throughout the entire mansion as his body was consumed in a black sphere of dark energy, with electricity dancing around it. Inside the protective sphere, Kage was changing. His flesh had bruned away from his forearms, hands, feet, legs, lower torso, and shoulder blades. Underneath was powerful protective scales that were extremely tough. His hands had become clawed, his long nails being laser sharp. His feet had changed as well, having four talens on the front, and a fifth one on the heel. The talons were very deadly. His tail bone grew out, and soon muslce and flesh covered it, as well as the emerald green protective scales, creating a six foot long tail that narrowed to a point. His shoulder blades grew outwards, as flesh and muscle wrapped around them, creating large, powerful wings with blood red webbing. His ears grew longer, and pointed. His canines became fangs. A lightning bolt scar burned onto both his cheeks, each one going up towards his narrow, predatory eyes. His hair became much longer, and spiky, and a bright, violent red color. The protective barrier around Kage exploded, sending out a shockwave as he landed on the ground, his eyes closed. He slowly opened his eyes, which were completely white. Kage stood up, as his blood red pupils appeared. He looked to his left, then to his right. " HmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmhmHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! " Kage had regained his memory, and his true powers along with it. His eyes then turned to Daria, and then to Dia. He tilted his head. " Mutants. " Kage said as he raised his left arm to chest level, his hand being infront of his face, with his clawed fingers spread wide. He slowly closed his hand into a fist, starting with his index finger, then his middle finger, then his ring finger, followed by his pinky finger. Last was his tumb, and when it closed, lightning began to emit from his fist. His tail slammed into the roof, leaving an imprint.

Daria had teleported away, in order to dodge the explosion but soon teleported back to make sure Dia was okay. Her hood had fallen away to reveal her furry black cat ears and her emerald feline eyes had narrowed into slits. Sensing danger, her lips curled up to reveal her fangs and her claws unsheathed themselves. At the sound of the dreaded word "mutant" Daria was painfully reminded of the truth that had been in her mind all day; she would never be normal again. It was only her first couple of weeks at the Mansion and she could'nt say she wasn't enjoying herself. But she was not looking for a fight and it seemed like she was about to get one. when the Dragon-creature's tail hit the roof Daria snapped her tail in the air, making it crack like a whip. This was no ordinary creature but then again, Daria had never been an ordinary girl.
" You? Challenge me? " The myriddon let out a thunderous laugh. " A mutant thinking they can defeat ME. How absurd. " Kage said as he lowered his right arm, his right palm being open. Heat vapors began to escape from his right palm, as intense heat was generating from it. His clawed hand pulsed, and a nasty fireball formed in his palm, growing to the size of a baseball. Kage thosed the fireball up a couple of times, catching it. " You can't beat the likes of me. I'm much more than a mutant. " With that, Kage's right arm moved backwards, as if winding up for a pitch. The fireball expanded in size to that of a soccer ball. " Dodge this attack if you can. But even if you do, this whole mansion is going up in smoke!!!! " He said as fireball intensified in heat, now burning at heats that rivaled magma. Kage slammed his right foot forward, leaving an imprint in the groof, as he whipped his hand forward, sending the massive fireball flying towards Daria. If it hit her, then it would set her ablaze. If she dodged it, then the mansion would be set ablaze.

Daria could already feel the heat even though the fire ball wasn't near her yet. Thoughts flashed before her conciousness-she had to act fast. that wouldn't be a problem, speed was her middle name. She couldn't get this far and die, although just this morning she had wished she had actually drowned-water! that was it! Daria couldn't let the dragon destroy the masion-the only place that accepted her. she teleported qucikly to the bottom of the pool. It was hard to keep her focus here-cats hate water-but she thought of Dia and all the other mutants and realized she had no choice. She reached out with her mind and teleported the water in the pool to the roof releasing it so that it would come in direct contact with the fireball.
" I knew that was what you would do. " Kage said into Daria's mind. He laughed as he clapped his hand together, creating a massive Pryoball the size of a Fit Gear Bally. He concentrated for a brief moment, and intensified the heat in the ball to the same temp as the middle of the planet. He raised his hands into the air, and threw the fireball, using his telepathic abilities to lock onto Daria. He was able top turn the Pryoball into a Homing Bomb that would follow Daria until it hit her. He had added something special to the Pryoball, as well.

Daria could feel his mind burrowing into hers and it allowed her to realize he had telepathic powers. She knew more about what she was up against now and could proceed to concentrate on blocking him. The serious meditation she went through with her taekwondo trainer had strengthened her mental muscle. She pushed back in an atempt to keep him from conitnuing to read furthur. Now to deal with the fire ball. she teleported to the left and then the right several times before she realized the fire ball was following her. She pressed her ears back against her head as a cat does when stressed and tired hard to think of a way to make the pyroball think she was somewhere else. she couldnt figure it out in time and simply teleported behind the dragon creature. He might not take damage from the fire but at least it wouldn't hit Daria. The pyro ball shot back in the opposite direction of where Daria had been. it locked onto her when she reappeared behind the beast going in a straight line towards her. The dragin creature stood between daria and death she waited to see the effect.
From where he'd stood on the back lawn, it had taken him a few minutes to shake off the emotional turmoil coming from the roof, and another few minutes to determine that it WAS coming from the roof. By the time Mike flew up there, Daria was dodging the pyroball.
"Perhaps you're more than a mutant. I'd be willing to bet you're not more than two mutants, though. Or, failing that, five mutants, or ten, or twenty, and on until we've taken you down. I don't know who you are..." Michael's eyes blazed brilliant blue as he tapped the outside edges of Kage's mind and flooded it with intense fear, all of the soul-scarring terror he'd ever absorbed since his mutation had surfaced.
Kage smirked, as the homing bomb was appraoching him from the front. Kage laughed, and put his left hand up, as the homing bomb hit his hand, and bounced off, instead of heading towards Daria, it was now heading towards Cass. He then quickly turned around, putting his hand to Daria's stomach. " How do you like wind burn. " Kage asked as a violent blast of air emitted from his right hand.
Two things happened simultaneously. First, the air between Mike and the pyroball shimmered with a series of telekinetic shields as he flew backward as quickly as his concentration allowed. Second, all of the remaining water pooled on the roof was siphoned up in a telekinetic grip, channeled around Michael into a gush directed at the homing bomb.
The Pryoball hit the stream of water, and the trap that was in it was unleashed. Kage had added lightning into the Pryoball. The lightning unleashed itself, as the pryoball was slowly traveling against the water, the lighting bolted right through it, straight at Cass. This lighting was extremely powerful, and very dangerous. It was not as weak as the kinetic lighting attacks that Kage had used in the past.
