The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Abyss had tossed a car or two at the Landing Jet while it settled but his trajectory was off by mere feet. He sighed as the interference came… were they already on their way? Had they found out from those first cops or had someone up north sold them out. It was question to ask them as they suffered. He took off at a slow speed, loping toward the group and headed for those that stayed on the ground.
He bellowed at the top of his lungs his baritone echoing off of buildings with more than edge of insanity.
“This is business with Russia! Save your notions of Justice for those that deserve to be protected.” He was furious. How dare they interfere! “How dare you interfere! Do you not know about what they are doing to our people? It ends now, whether it is over your corpses or not! ” He was still in the process of charging at them closing the distance and thirsty for their retreat, or the consequences of their lack of one. He wasn’t even sure who he was addressing only that they remained on the ground and weren’t running for their lives.
Jupiter dropped the crumpled tank as it began to glow red. His eyes darted around for the source of the heat. His eyes finally raising to the annoying gnat in the sky. He grabbed one of the less heated tanks that he had previously destroyed. He tried for accuracy but more importantly it gave him a moment of distraction he slammed into the wall of a nearby building applying only enough pressure to gain hand holds. He scaled the building as fast as he could. Every third or forth hand hold would get ripped from the building and flung at the firefly.
Saturn hit the ground and rolled holding his crotch and moaned, the drugs hadn’t had the best effect on him for this situation it definitely hadn’t sharpened his senses. Mars however was at the top of his game. He immediately rolled off some orders to Saturn.
“Get up and launch me towards that yelling ape we call a brother. We need to pull the switch. They have flyers.”
Saturn groaned and then tilted his head. Standing and ignoring the ache as much as possible. He then launched Mars toward the still raging Abyss’s direction. He then squatted down and began to launch handful after handful of gravel as hard as he could toward the one bothering his man parts.
Venus toppled another large building on to its side with the large chains and anchors, It had been a lucky or unlucky find for Venus, depending on if you were Russian or a mutant. The anchors were designed for grasping and the chains were sturdy enough to handle the effort he put into them. He continued to hum “strangers in the night” as he had been this whole trip. He was currently a lover spurned and he was working through the issues as he worked through the city. It was just after the building had folded on it’s self that he noted so rather interesting plants coming up to gain ensnare him. He whipped the chains back and then toward the building that the plant growth trailed back toward. He hoped it was males, he never felt bad about crushing males. Yes, he was bisexual, but still sexist. He always felt that ruining a woman was a waste. Even though he typically had much less trouble finding female partners then men. Another quandary that he didn’t and never would understand.
Mercury and Pluto found themselves staring into each others eyes as they hammered on one another it was ridiculous how much pain the had dealt to each other. This is what they had de-evolved into. Pluto was now on the defensive Trying to find a logical way to halt the excessive violent force that was Mercury. He hated to think it, But Mercury had to die. They wouldn’t ever stop using him for this purpose, to allow him to live was just postponing the situation else where. Now whether he had the stomach to follow through or even the ability to stop him may very well be a different case.
Aura saw the jet approach and wished she had thought to grab a rocket launcher to use, she had a hard time in ranged fighting. The Jet was landing and she had a feeling that meant she was going to have a lot more fun. Taking a hit from her joint she never saw strike approach the side of the building. Laughing she walked to the far corner of the building corpse. Aura leapt from the building tossing her hands to her side's she formed two blades, which aura hardened enough to slow her decent, however as she did she cut through the corners of the two previously undamaged buildings as she landed on the ground and ripped the blades out of the building making large holes in both of them, people screamed from within the buildings. Aura kept laughing as she looked around.
Aura cought sight of strike on the fire escape, who he was was not important, however she only had one set of allies, and they were all Large and red. The fact that he was climbing the building meant several things to aura, He was trying to stop her, he was a mutant and he was going to be buried in Russia. Who he was and why he was there did not matter, Aura was here for vengeance and she would have it. Forming a large Hammer on her Arm, she smashed the remaining wall of the building she had been on, her hope was that the wall would calapse under the extream strain as sher hammer took out another several feet of the wall, her swing, only finning when the ten foot long weapon, broke into building behind ripping a long gash in the brick. If he lived then they could talk, but either way, Aura was going to cause as much damage as she could.
"I am Aura, Long live the Order, this city will be wiped off the map or i will be buried in it's blood and rubble!" She screamed into the air, her voice echoing off of the strange new landscape. Her Eyes burned not with fury but with pure enjoyment and pride. You did not oppose the order, it was just that simple for aura, She was a weapon for the order and she liked that idea. Her brown hair flowed behind her in the wind, the loose hair framing her face as she waited to see what the boy could do.
A strangled howling scream came from ground zero. Ghost looked at Jude and he shook his head. No one dead. No one close by. They continued through the walls that simply weren't there toward the sound of boulders or thunder. Jude held up one... no, two fingers. Two minds. Only two people were making that ruckus. What would their faces look like when they finally found them? Were there others besides the Four red and one pink?
Max ducked behind the plants because one of the scariest, biggest people he'd ever seen was approaching after giving a blood curdling scream that gave him goosebumps. He looked toward the retreating crowd and knew he had to stand his ground if they were going to have a chance to make it. Why did all the impossible tasks fall to him? Max split and sent his other self in an army crawl long and far away. Hopefully it would make it out of his mental control range. It payed to have backups. Now if only he could get the scary red guy talking.
“This is business with Russia! Save your notions of Justice for those that deserve to be protected... How dare you interfere! Do you not know about what they are doing to our people? It ends now, whether it is over your corpses or not!
Ah so luck hadn't abandoned him. Max stood suddenly, "Ah, this isn't about Justice, Russia, or even you and I, friend. This is about you and your pals going nut-so on the buildings and citizens that have little to nothing nothing to do with governmental concerns. If you'd like to take out the guys in charge, I'm sure we can work something out. The pay is shit-tastic!" That would either get the red one thinking, or - if he was beyond thinking... it'd get Max drawn and quartered. God, it hurt to "die," but it was one of the most distracting things to a villain. There was just something about reveling in still warm arterial spray that Max would never understand.
"Just because you throw a big projectile." Volcana dodged and danced irritatingly close to Jupiter. "Doesn't mean it makes me easier to hit." But by the time she'd dodged around the tank, Jupiter was already scaling the wall and she got a face full of debris for looking. "Where you going, handsome? We just got started." Anticipating some more climbing from this one, Volcana heated an area right in his path. Dense materials like brick and stone and concrete made great thermal capacitors. If he didn't go up, she'd start heating the area under him.
Emulator didn't mind the things thrown at him. An incorporeal body meant they just went right on through and kept going. As much as he hated to sucker punch his fellow man, it had been a necessary evil. for taking their attention and placing it on himself. It gave him no pleasure to sense his comrade in gender rolling around in pain. It didn't seem to bother one as much as it had the other, though, and soon the lesser effected was sent sailing through the air.
"Mistake one." Emulator sent a localized air blast at Mars. It was blunt, but powerfully directed straight down. It was meant to knock him out of the air like swatting a birdy in badminton, but with his mass and velocity that wasn't happening. At the very least it would knock him off course, but hopefully it would mess him up enough that he wouldn't get where he was going. Whatever the switch was -- he was pretty sure they didn't want it happening. Smart enemies were not needed here. Easily subdued ones were.
Hopefully those hand fulls of gravel that were sailing through Emulator were appreciated as they fell far away from Saturn and rained down on Abyss and Max.
Dryad's plants gripped fruitlessly at Venus' ankles. They were as strong as they looked and that meant she was going to be nearly useless in this fight. Venus whipped the chains straight at her building and she couldn' help it. She squealed and dove out into the waiting vines. The building she had just been taking shelter in came crashing down behind her spewing dust and debris all over, but it was better to be dusty than dead. "S-Stop, you fiend!" She coughed and the mistle-toe wound in her hair rustled perturbed. "You can't go any farther!" She stood nearly two feet shorter than Venus and gave him the most defiant eyes she could muster. "Don't make me hurt you!"
Strike did not have the power of flight, but he did command the elements. So when the building went down it was his second most practiced power, wind, that directed the wall his fire escape was attached to. Once he was a liveable fall away from the ground, he dove. Slowed by his swan-like posture and his self-supplied wind resistance, Strike was able to make it to the ground with a less than deadly impact. That didn't mean that it didn't hurt.
"I am Aura, Long live the Order, this city will be wiped off the map or i will be buried in it's blood and rubble!"
Strike stood under the rain of debris and dust. It wasn't as bad as it should have been considering. "I am Strike. It's nice to meet you, but it looks like you an me is gonna have to fight." He raised his arms and the clouds rolled dark and ominous above. His strategy was to keep the enemy at bay. Up close, he wasn't nearly as good as he was long distance. And if she ever stood still long enough, he would summon his most practiced power,: lightning. But for now, precise wind and tactical moves. He needed to stay away from whatever she used to take the building down and wear her down enough for her to stand still and take 30,000 volts.
"Ah, this isn't about Justice, Russia, or even you and I, friend. This is about you and your pals going nut-so on the buildings and citizens that have little to nothing nothing to do with governmental concerns. If you'd like to take out the guys in charge, I'm sure we can work something out. The pay is shit-tastic!"
Abyss rushed forward toward the small man and his useless words as if he needed someone else to give him permission to go after Russia’s leaders. His hand fell on his shoulder and then lifted him into the air in a harsh grasp more then likely ruining his shoulder. “ I will work some thing out with you leave now and you all leave alive. Get in your plane and go. Moscow is and will be an example to them. a harsh warning of the reality that the age of man has passed! This is the age of the xgene!” He looked in to the man’s eyes and for a moment sympathy marred his rage. “stand with them and share their fate. This is your last chance. Are you mutant? Or are you man?” His tail snaked around one of his ankles, The answer was already there, waiting was delaying the inevitable. This man didn’t fly here to turn around and go home. Even in foolishness the nobility in mutant blood shines through.
"Just because you throw a big projectile." "Doesn't mean it makes me easier to hit." "Where you going, handsome? We just got started."
“ less talk.” Jupiter growled. She had gotten close enough for him to catch if she didn’t dodge faster. The building across from him was still standing do to the preoccupation of the tanks. He flung himself off of the wall toward the woman, for the most part with his arms. All it should take was one touch and it was over. If she remained with in reach then she was dead and then some. If she did get out of the way in time he would simply try again after colliding with the other building. If that didn’t work he would go get one of those guns off the ground an shoot her.
"Mistake one."
Mars swore as the gust hit him but didn’t knock him to the ground as he suspected it was going too, it would however change his trajectory to falling short of Abyss not that he couldn’t follow his ranting even as the wind whistled in his ears. To do this right they were going to need voids.
Saturn stared up at the man in the sky and tilted his head. He should have been dead, those rocks would make it to the moon if they didn’t hit something before then. How the hell was he supposed to fight air…
“leave me alone, and back of the boys. Can’t you see we are trying to build a parking lot?” heh. a parking lot. He really didn’t want to be here, he would much rather be home but Mars said it served a purpose and so, a purpose it was. But he hadn’t sign on for being bothered. What beats air…maybe if he had a vacuum cleaner…He stood staring at him wondering what to do.
"S-Stop, you fiend!" "You can't go any farther!" "Don't make me hurt you!"
Venus smiled down on her with his best and most charming smile. He dropped the chains out to his side. She was adorable and obviously afraid. Yet her she stood, in his way for the humans.It was sweet poetic even.
“what fool brought a goodness of nature to a place like this? Something so petite and breathtaking shouldn’t be here. No. I will give up all of this violence for you. For only the price of a kiss.” He was lying of course but she was cute and at least she could have one more moment of passion before she died, or heck if she was into it, perhaps he would put off the violence, he gained little by being here. At the very least he had paid her proper compliments. Did he mention her accent? *sigh* he loved accents
Pluto and mercury were growing tired, You could only be hit so many times in the head before the stars didn’t go away. Pluto dodged another punch from Mercury. His odd flesh glistened and his eye glinted Mercury Roared at the top of his primal lungs. His jaw cracked and dislocated, and clapped up an down reveling row after row of jagged teeth. He rushed Pluto. Pluto’s Tail pinched a street sign leaving it sharp and free of the ground. His tail passed the sign up to his hand and just as Mercury was a mere foot or two away Pluto jabbed forward with his make shift spear as hard as he could. It had to be done. Mercury’s skull jolted backward as the bar entered his gaping maw. Mercury gargled a wounded sound. Pluto followed the attack home until it pierced the other side. Mercury’s body fell to the ground lifeless. Pluto collapsed on top of him and wept.He wanted to stay here and cry. Just cry for his wicked brother, cry for Abyss and Syn letting him do this to himself. But he couldn’t there were six more carrying on just like Mercury was, but they didn’t have the excuse of insanity. Pluto grasped the stop sign and pulled it free. He then scooped his brother up and began to make his way across the town. If this didn’t stop them. Nothing would.
"I was hoping you would say that, but then i suppose if you had other intentions you would have visted staligrad" She said with a smile, she would not hide the fact that she was going to take a lot of pleasure in this. Aura did wonder what the boy's powers were but then maybe that did not matter, he still ahd to die. "I will not stand by while are people are abducted fow hwo knowes what reason, your being here to obstruct me, mean you suspport such actions, and to me that makes you a traiter to all muatnt kind, and throughout time their has only been a single sentence for this crime, Death!" she said almost screaming the last word, which dripped with far more venum then her other words.
Ajusting her dress casually she held one of her arms in front of her, The hammer on it grew smaller just a few feet from her fist. The Aura floed back into her Aura looking a bit like flowing water, at the same time she hardened her hammer as far as she could. Her other Hammer faded back into her Aura, rushing her new oponent she lifted the hammer over her head and leapt at striker, bringing the hammer down attemting to take him out in one blow by hitting him with the force of a mountain, at least that's what she figured it would be like. Traiters had to die, any Mutant that stood by while was a traiter, things were simple. Aura figured one of two things would happon, eather she would kill her opponent, or she would hit the ground with enough force to cause a small quake, she hoped it would cause dmaige to the area around them, even if she was stpped she would do as much dmaage to the city as possible, the only reason she was sueing this amount of force was for that reason.
((OOC: got a blip of internet. *crosses fingers that it goes through*))
Max didn't much care for dying. Not really. One would think with all the clones he had sacrificed that he had some obsession with seeing his own corpse. On the contrary, he tried to never look. It wasn't so much a transferring of consciousness, but more a sharing. So it was important for the clone to get out of range and safely split consciousness before something really traumatic happened.
After that? Well, Max would be walking around in the copy... or rather the copy would be Max walking around. It was a nice morale booster for the bad guys to think they got one, and a good decoy for Max to get into the buildings and put out a broadcast. Warning: Mother f****ing crazy mutants have come to raze your entire metroplex. Run while you still can. Rebuild after they leave. Except... hopefully in Russian.
Abyss was swinging Max 1 around like a rag doll when a hail of rocks showered them thanks to a tripped out Saturn. "Leave now and you all leave alive. Get in your plane and go. Moscow is and will be an example to them. a harsh warning of the reality that the age of man has passed! This is the age of the xgene!”
"What a glorious age to be alive. I mean really. I'm loving this new style of decor our kind seems to prefer." Max 1 quipped, and for a moment actual sympathy ruined the big red guy's scary face. Maybe they weren't crazy mother f***ers, but just plain crazy... “stand with them and share their fate. This is your last chance. Are you mutant? Or are you man?”
"Dunno if you've noticed this but, I've not been standing for some time now." Max 1 plucked at Abyss' fingers that held his shoulders. "So I'll take undisclosed Option C, I'm a mutant taking a stand against another mutant. Because, honestly, if its the age of the x-gene, you're gonna run out of sheepy humans to kill. And really, won't that be a drag? I'm just looking out for your profession in the future, bro! Who's town you level if they're all mutant towns? You ever think about that?"
At the limit of his range, Max's consciousness had to choose one body or the other. He could not inhabit both. It was do or die time. Max 1's eyes glossed over and a loving smile graced his lips. "Even if I die here, at least you wasted your time listening to me instead of doing worse. I'll catch you on the flip-side, bro." Max 1 winked and let all the fight go out of him. He was a soulless doll that would not act again unless Max 2 came back into range. Max 2, meanwhile, was already slipping inside a building that still had a door.

“ less talk.” The mean man Volcana got was ill-tempered and not really much fun at all. "I think I'll call you Grumpy. That's a rather suiting name, don't you think?" Her game was agility and flight do to currents of super heated air. She could dance as close as she wanted and the oaf wouldn't nab her, but she would try to behave. She promised Emulator 'nothing fancy.' Except when the red man tried something fancy. Wasn't it fair to to give him his just desserts? Jupiter flung himself off of the wall and toward Volcana, it was rather Kong-esque, and again he was a large obstacle that took longer to dodge. Volcana cut tantalizingly close behind him if he wanted to twist in mid air... he might even catch her. But then - who would catch him after he was facing the wrong way and sailing backwards?
~~~
Emulator wasn't much concerned with Saturn. He obviously wasn't the brightest crimson crayon in the box. No, the un-official team leader was very worried about Mars. The smart one. The one that had shown a modicum of understanding that the clones were being separated and hopefully subdued. He was trying some regrouping of some kind or something and that just wouldn't do.
When Mars landed, Emulator rushed to be there. Ghost had some pretty good ways to subdue an enemy without killing them and the all time favorite was suffocation. But he had to be close. Emulator drifted beside the crater and immediately started creating a void of oxygen. Air there was, yes. But air that would nourish Mars' brain and muscles? No. It was fast being depleted from the area. He would have approximately 50 seconds assuming his bigger body didn't need more oxygen to sustain itself. Maybe 70 seconds if he was lucky enough to have a breath to hold in.
The big red guy smiled at Dryad. She'd put on her tiger face to be scary and he was just smiling at her! It was intolerable. Her outrage was starting to overcome her fear. "I'm serious you know~!" and then he did something surprising. He dropped the chains. Has by some miracle he changed his mind? He wouldn't destroy the city now? The mistletoe in Dryad's hair blossomed with her victorious smile.
“what fool brought a goodness of nature to a place like this?" Dryad blushed. Goddess of Nature? "Something so petite and breathtaking shouldn’t be here. No. I will give up all of this violence for you. For only the price of a kiss.” Dryad did one of those long slow blinks that clearly said she heard what she heard, but didn't believe that was actually what was said.
"W-would you really? You wouldn't cheat and like..." She blushed even harder for even thinking it, but she had to ask, "you won't eat me or anything would you?" A kiss? She seriously considered it and never once thought it might be a duplicitous offer beyond potential hickeys or biting. A kiss wasn't such a high price to pay to get someone to stop rampaging through the city was it? Did that make her a whore? Kissing bad boys to get what she wanted? Moral dilemmas are hard!
~~~
Ghost and Jude witnessed the murder of Mercury with wide eyes. Either... Emulator had synched with one of the big red guys or the big red guys had a traitor. Curiouser still, Pluto picked up the body and started his way back toward the other brothers. Ghost's voice echoed between the buildings from seemingly nowhere. It helped when wanted to communicate, but not die. "Were will you take him?" Ghost looked at Jude to confirm. It wasn't a trick. There really was only one living red behemoth in this corridor... and it wasn't Emulator.

"I will not stand by while are people are abducted for who knowes what reason, your being here to obstruct me, means you suspport such actions, and to me that makes you a traiter to all muatnt kind, and throughout time their has only been a single sentence for this crime, Death!"
"That's quite the trail of logical leaps, sister." He should have shocked her during her lovely speech, but Strike was too interested in her pink amorphous... well, aura. He'd never seen anything like it. It changed and flowed, but could become hard or sharp as well.
Aura leapt at him and it was a thing of beautiful fury. But unfortunately neither of her predictions about what would happen were accurate because both of them assumed there was going to be some kind of landing going on. Strike, in his haste to catch her in the air, fell back into a pile of debris, his hands outstretched to direct his intense updraft. She was inches from smashing his face in before being buoyed upward a good distance away from him like so many beach balls had in Controlled Burn testing. Damn. That had been a bit too close for comfort.
He attempted to maintain her state of... hovering for as long as possible, but she wasn't exactly going to help him by staying still and behaving now was she? At least it was hard for a close range fighter to get off a good punch when she was no longer on the ground. The bad news was, she was almost directly over him. If she broke his concentration he was a dead man.
"Dunno if you've noticed this but, I've not been standing for some time now." "So I'll take undisclosed Option C, I'm a mutant taking a stand against another mutant. Because, honestly, if its the age of the x-gene, you're gonna run out of sheepy humans to kill. And really, won't that be a drag? I'm just looking out for your profession in the future, bro! Who's town you level if they're all mutant towns? You ever think about that?"
This mutant was irritating and not very worried for his life at all. No more talking, To this one.
"Even if I die here, at least you wasted your time listening to me instead of doing worse. I'll catch you on the flip-side, bro."
Abyss’s thumb pushed upward on the man’s neck and because he was infuriated by the lack of agreement and now here he stood confronting his people to destroy the enemy. It wasn’t such a terrible thing to throw the man into the building His head turn as he heard one of his brothers yell a warning. Flyers an an oxygen eating one he was after Saturn next more than likely. He wasn’t sure how it worked but he could always open a void near the other’s it was one of those things he didn’t argue with but excepted with the rest of the cards he’d been dealt.
He glanced up after both had joined him, an smirked as the solution had come from the pot-headed Saturn and not the Multiple master holding Mars.
Abyss began to make way toward the location of the air born man.
"I think I'll call you Grumpy. That's a rather suiting name, don't you think?"
He never did understand the during fight chatter, soooo many liked to blab during a fight blah blah blah point of view blah blah blh oppose me….blah. Actions speak louder than words anyone? Anyone? He yearned for a fight with someone who enjoyed a scrap enough to just get down to it.
The thing about King Kong was that he didn’t have a tail and a hunter’s brain. The first attack was a hopefully attempt but it came with a part b that her prior moves made him predict that she wouldn’t bother to make a far retreat. His tail and the fastest lightest appendage he had struck out behind him and would wrap around anything of substance. The girl had better hoped that she one could either cut his tail off with her heat or kill him before he killed her. She had better do it fast too.
Mars was running he hated the possibilities that Air wielders held. At least he had morality and would suffocate him to death most likely. It was about that time that his already short breath was draining. He screamed at the top of his lungs depleting the last of his air. It was an all or nothing move of desperation that he hated to make.
“ABYSS, VOID NOW, MARS!” He began to wobble on his feet and then smirked as a void opened in front of him and he leaned forward. And into the abyss he went. Within moments this game would change vastly.
Saturn snapped his finger and then began to walk around looking for those flame thrower units. It was sooooooooo, simple man, It was in the end the joint that had come to mind that and told him what beat air. Fire. As he saw the broken units and the dying he began to look for a working piece of equipment. If the guy was made out of air what could be worse for him. He began to chuckle as he closed on a blackened piece of equipment. Just as a void opened in front of him he scooped it up and hoped in.
"W-would you really? You wouldn't cheat and like..." "you won't eat me or anything would you?"
“You do of course look delicious, in the metaphorical sense and I may ask for another, if you were so inclined. After all there is a bit of mistletoe that I see up there and I might be obligated to request another kiss for every piece of mistletoe I fall under, but obviously that would and always will be at your discretion. If you notice the tip of damage I am doing, well it is aesthetic, the buildings I attacked were empty, I am not all that into this war on Russia, I unlike most of my brother’s believe that if the mutants here were inclined to leave, and then they simply would. So, shall you render me harmless with those perfect and petite lips?” Venus took a couple steps forward took her palm gently in hand and leaned down toward her to receive his victory.
Pluto looked up but understood, that would be the help he traitorously called. He spoke quietly as if he were already dead himself, and he considered himself dead. It would be a matter of time…unless he could commit to this all the way. Could he, would he? Would he be able to do this to the rest. Destroy them when they do it consciously.
He answered belatedly. “ I will show our bother’s what they have made out of us. Make them think for the first time in a long time. After they begin to chase and attack me I will lead them away from here, try to get them out of the city and then I will do what I can to stop the rest.” Tears welled up in his eyes they ran down his bruised and broken face making streams of clean flesh show a bit more against the rest. His progress was slow and he was in a vile mode. This was his darkest moment yet, but five of his wretched brothers remained.
Aura looked down at her still living target and tilted her head, she could feel the force of the wind against her shield though it did not make it to her skin. She mentally berated herself for the hastey action which lead to her being in the state she was in now. She elt the hammer fade as it would no longer reach her target. Aura's mind began racing for a plan of action on how to get down, she had to get to the ground to be dangerous or he would likely keep her up here until his friend's got their of until he chose to hit her with something more. She smiled at the boy who was keeping her aloft perhapse if she could disract him he would let up, his power had to require his concentration and so Aura laughed happily, letting out her true emotion.
"Very good! That leap was ill fated against somone liek you, i will have to find another way to carve your bones into my silverware" she said in a very kind and happy voice even as she did, she began to manipulate the shape of her Aura, at first she began to ajust it into a sphere but then decided the wind might have an easy time with that and So she formed the front of her aura into a long flat area's to resist the wind, hoping the long flat surface would increase the strain on him. Even as she did this, her aura flowed to forma gun like object which she aimed at the one breaking wind. The gun could not fire a bullet that would reach him, but their wa sno way she kenw of he could knew that, just in case her aura on her other hand began to form a whip like structure, which she threw at the top of the wall of the building she had only damaged. The Whip struck and pierced the cement roof, then the tip expanded a bit, forming a sort of make shift anchor to keep her from being flown to England per say.
"You can let me down, or we can see what this gun will do to your body? You do have some type of resistence factor i hope, or this is going to be pretty messy" she said wondering what else he could do. He wa spreventing her from her mission, and that could not be tolerated for long.
Max didn't speak Russian. He had a hell of a time finding someone who spoke English enough to explain what was going on. People were huddled in strange places like it was an earthquake and it seemed nearly impossible to find a way to broadcast the escape message throughout the buildings without some emergency radio frequency take over. And that wasn't happening without Russian help.
One thing he did hear shouted over and over again was "Управляемый для вашей жизни!*" and "Сумасшедшие мутанты сломают здание!**" so he tried to imitate those phrases. Admittedly he probably butchered them, but it was a simple enough message. Whatever it was, it worked. People stopped hiding and got to moving out of the building.
((typed into a free translator: *Run for your life! and **Crazy mutants will break the building!))
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
A tail was all it took. A tail. Why did she not remember he had a tail? Monkey's had tails. Maybe not King Kong, but... she should have seen it coming.
Something thin snaked around her ankle and part of the way up her leg and Volcana knew she was in trouble. She started focusing her heat solely on that small thin tail. Maybe it would burn her, she wasn't heat proof, but it was better to have a self-inflicted wound than be dead.
Until then... all she could do was pull away with all her airborne strength. Except she was pretty sure there was more power in his little tail than in her whole body. This was going to hurt, wasn't it?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
“ABYSS, VOID NOW, MARS!”
Yeah, when the bad guys got organized, things were going poorly. Emulator dropped his synch with Ghost and tried to synch up with the red one, but he was gone. Emulator crouched suddenly very aware that he was in the middle of a battle field with no power. He wanted to turn red and big and strong, maybe it would have confused his enemies... if it had worked.
He was screwed. He was screwed, he was screwed, he was screwed.
He needed a mutant nearby and he needed one fast or he was dead in so many ways.

“You do of course look delicious, in the metaphorical sense and I may ask for another, if you were so inclined." Dryad nodded. Of course she looked delicious, her photosynthetic skin at the very least was probably edible and even nutritious.
"...there is a bit of mistletoe that I see up there and I might be obligated to request another kiss for every piece of mistletoe I fall under, but obviously that would and always will be at your discretion. If you notice the tip of damage I am doing, well it is aesthetic... I am not all that into this war on Russia... So, shall you render me harmless with those perfect and petite lips?”
He was eloquent and long winded, and he didn't seem all that mean once he wasn't breaking things. Venus took hold of Dryad's hand and knelt so that it was not such a ridiculous or intimidating thing to think of kissing him.
'It's for the people.' She told herself. 'I'm saving lives with what I have.'
Dryad took a tentative step forward and still had to go on her tippy toes to put her small hands on either side of Venus' face. It effectively kept Venus looking her in the eye and kept Dryad from losing her balance on her toes. She was child-like in size comparison. "Hi." Her cheeks went almost as red as Venus' natural skin color. "I'm Dryad. It is nice to meet you Mister." Well, she didn't want to kiss a stranger!
She leaned in close, closer, closest until she was a hair's breadth away. 'I hope this works.' She closed her eyes and she lay the chastest of kisses on Venus' lips.

Ghost wasn't sure he'd heard. But when she opened her mouth to say something else Jude's hand touched her shoulder. She looked at him and he looked serious. Gravely serious.
Pluto's tortured answer came then. He would show them the body. He would make them see. He would give everything to stop this madness, even make all of them angry and lure them away.
Ghost and Jude looked at each other startled. They'd known there was a traitor... an informant. But that was a long way off from helping them subdue... no, more than subdue kill the enemy.
They were on the move as Pluto's ghosts. They moved through rubble and buildings and kept their cover. It could be a trick. Either way they were tailing him back toward the main fight.

Strike kept his cool even though it was very unnerving to see his pink counterpart praise his catch and enjoy an elated laugh. Why were the enemies always crazy? Oh right, because it was so obvious that what they were doing was wrong.
Something changed about the shape of pink he was blasting air at. The long flat part was so much more wind resistant that keeping her aloft and balanced was no longer possible, forget the fact that she was talking about carving his bones into eating utensils or had made a bright pink gun to point at him.
Aura's aura caught the wind and it sent her flying backward in a sudden spin. Had she made two elongated wind resistant pieces she probably would have sailed straight up like a hang glider. He didn't have to let her down, he was willing to let gravity do that now that she wasn't right on top of him. Strike let off on the wind and scrambled to his feet.
He wiped his brow, glad to have gotten out of his impending doom, but not entirely happy to have to be ready for whatever this tricky minx would think of next.
The clouds continued to darken and roll toward his location. Should he call a fog? Sometimes it was a blessing, sometimes a curse. Should he send hail? rain? would anything stop her long enough for lightning to strike?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jupiter’s teeth smashed together as the burning singed his tail, the burning fur was what really infuriated him though. Pain was to be expected even appreciated in a fight, she now made a short list of foes that were worth killing. Not that being an unworthy foe left them any more living just that Jupiter felt like they had earned their place against him. But her time was going to be soon over unless she had something better than that. They slammed into the opposite building and Jupiter pushed his way into brick like a child would move sand out of their way on the beach. His tail wrapped her legs in a more painful grip as she raised the temperature. The tumbled into the room and Jupiter brought the girl around in front of him and rose her into the air preparing to slam her into and hopefully through the floor. That should do the trick but he wouldn’t let go until her mutation of burning him ceased… then he would make sure she died where she lay.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The conversation was quick and precise. Abyss was making his way to defeat more of the enemy as Mars was telling him of his plan to open a void and have Abyss set Mars right on top of the flyer util he was captured and subsequently dead. Then Saturn came in and told the pair that the man was made out of air and should be set on fire. So the plan quickly changed to releasing Saturn on the man to char or even burn out. Abyss was making fast pack as he followed the pairs direction on how to get there from here. He would close on where the flyer had been last when the three in one trio came upon the man now on the ground. He didn’t look insubstantial…but fire worked in both cases. Abyss opened a void close to the grounded man and soon Saturn was in front of him with a wicked grin and a flamethrower. Seconds after that fire would consume where he was currently standing.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Hi."
“Hi!” His Crimson eyes took ever green inch of here in. was his mouth watering…why was breaking company lines to do this so taboo? He wasn’t sure but he should do this more often. Everybody knows that the x-gene comes with a nice figure, how else do you explain the majority of the toned and trim mutants. Even the crazy looking ones had nice figures. Some of those morlocks could have ran runway if they didn’t have tentacles or giant wings or goat heads.
"I'm Dryad. It is nice to meet you Mister."
“I amVenus, and the pleasure is mine.” His voice a deep rumbling whisper.
You might think that Venus would be disappointed by someone innocent, who didn’t dive in if they were going to swim but, this was a rare treat for him. I felt so much more, naughty? Seeing as she was a heroin, and her kiss was so pure. The kiss was so innocently enticing. He would love to open her eyes to passion. Teach her that a peck was something that was for when you had rendered your partner exhausted with passion and you still wanted your lips on them but they didn’t have the energy to respond.
He left his lips on her’s pressed a little bit more than she had. Testing for response, if he could he would try to leave words for later he suspected however that even if this did proceed past where this was likely to…they wouldn’t work out scientifically…with out…he was getting ahead of himself.
He sighed and smiled as he backed away slightly. “ So dryad, now that we are making peace, what shall we do? I am rather fond of your lips on mine.” He breathed out lightly. She was so timid. It was breathtaking.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Pluto’s progress was slow his heavy heart warring with his need for this to end. He would hate himself until he died. Luckily that wouldn’t be too long from now. He would still do what he could to stop them, this was where being the antagonist of the group paid of he knew what buttons to push where their weakness would lie, how to best defend against Jupiter. Make him outraged enough and he would get messy. If you stayed level headed you could handle him. Would he be able to fight mutiples? Not likely he had to take abyss alone… if they were all against him. Well, he was looking forward to the end just a moment ago. The came into the clearing. A void was opening just on the other side of a desperate looking young man. Abyss was about a block away and couldn’t have know from sight alone that mercury was dead. But a glance at ones brother…and you would know. Abyss howled! And was charging again. A void was opening and chaos was about to erupt in Russia like it never had in this world before.
Pluto knelt on the ground and closed Mercury’s eyes. They didn’t know yet. He had time to take out one more before they suspected…

Kasumi has no idea how she got here the last ting she rembers is greeting two men in her flower shop and she is in a white room. What she had on is gone she was striped of her earings belly button ring and necklace. Kasumi looks around with her eyes she has been here for days with no word nothing. She wonders around the room she gets food and water that is all.
Eveything here is white even what she has on is a white tank top, and a white pair of pants she has on socks so her feet with not get cold on the floor. Kasumi has been trying for days to get out but it seems that it is not working. She can not call the X-men for help they took that to.
Kasumi rests her forehead on the wall as she closes her eyes. She feels the coldness of the wall. Soon she hears something outside she leans her head on the wall as she try's to hear what is going on yet she can not make anything out just then there is a sound of a alarm going off. Kasumi leaps ending up on the cealing damnit she can not brake herself form that. Soon she jumps down as she lands on her feet.
Kasumi walks to the door to see people running with guns and what not. She blinks a few times she takes it on herself soon she starts to hit and kick the door trying to make it move at the least she can get out of here. She has no real idea how long she has been here but she is not going to sit there and do nothing8
Aura's plan had worked well, true she was spinning through the air and it it even seemed he was going to let her land, as she came down, the gun flowed back into her aura, a useless weapon anyway as the bullets would turn to nothing once they left her Aura's range. As she struck the ground, Aura forced her aura down with force, the spiked coming from her feet dug into the ground. She was unsure if this opertunity was inexpeince to keep her in the air on his part, or of her design. She kept her smile as she stood up straight.
"Hit me with everything you have" She said as the spikes she had made from the bottoms of her feet faded back into her aura as well. It was then Aura saw the sky above them, the clouds were heading here, the boy controlled more then wind, but how much more was something she would find out if she had to beat it out of him. Forming a a Hammer in her hands, from her Aura she then moved back a bit, a direct attack would end in the same way her simply being suspended in the air, she wanted an abject with some size to hit him with, as she approached the Sidewalk she smiled, he could move or stay thare it mattered not.
Max found someone English speaking. Or rather, his butchered Russian attracted an English speaker to come help him. Together they found someone high up enough to announce over the PA to evacuate, not that this building wasn't empty already after the damage it took, but there could be stragglers.
The next step was to find a way to broadcast the message.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The force of the impact with the building made Jupiter tighten the grip with his tail and Volcana only screamed louder. She wasn't typically a screamer, but there was just something about singing your own flesh off to save your live that left her rather manic. Volcana gave up wasting her energy on flight. Her manipulations were too weak to pull away from the tail. Instead she focused everything on that tail and wriggling. Wriggling kept her mind off the burning and kept the burning from burning the same place for too long.
She tried to focus everything at the tail. Everything. She imagined it drying up and crumbling, even the bone. But of course that took time. She wasn't a microwave. She was like an oven. Best to turn up the heat then... It was getting to be more than she could bear. She was out of her head with only one command stuck in her mind. Turn up the heat.
She was swinging through the air, changing what captivated her. The tail loosened, but she didn't have the mental capacity to try to get free. Only to burn. She was burning. And turning up the heat more and more. Everything she touched. Everything nearby. It had to burn. Only when it was all ash would it stop hurting.
This was when rugby practice really came in handy. Only, the mates he'd squared off against in the scrum were never as intimidating as two big reds. Supposedly that meant bumbling and slow. From what he'd observed, that wasn't entirely true. In fact, it wasn't true at all. He needed to emulate and he needed to emulate now. Only, it didn't work that way. Touching was the fastest way, but he knew if they touched him he was dead like so many Max bodies.
No, he needed time. And that wasn't really an option with the two advancing from the portal. Where did they all come from? Where there more in there? Would it give him a chance to synch up with one of the big reds? There was only one way to find out.
It was called a duck pick and it involved some quick footwork, ducking, and a spin dodge or in this case a spin dodge (that evaded fingers as thick as his neck) followed by a dive into the unknown. Hopefully wherever he was going had fire extinguishers because he was pretty sure his trousers were on fire.
“I amVenus, and the pleasure is mine.” His voice was so deep she felt it reverberate in her chest cavity. Dryad swallowed nervously.
He pressed his large soft lips against hers (did he use chap stick?) but not forcefully, a bit long but not lecherously long. He left his lips there almost as if to say 'hey, I'm not using them, you need a spare set?'
She didn't need a spare set. Dryad's hands slid from cupping his cheeks to just brushing the tops of his ears. Slender tendrils crept from the mistletoe in her hair to Venus's head and by the time she thought to escape, he was wearing a matching mistletoe crown. Though less intricately woven into his hair.
She tried to step away and to the side, but bumped into something that was just about bum height. She sat on it automatically not realizing that she had just taken a seat on Venus' knee. Her cheeks were red and she was dizzy from the extreme rush of blood there so she kept her perch on Venus' knee, folded her hands in her lap and watched them until the embarrassment passed. If she didn't look, would he go away and start breaking things again? She hazarded a glance. Nope! still there. Still very close. She kept her eyes very carefully on those folded hands in her lap.
“So dryad, now that we are making peace, what shall we do? I am rather fond of your lips on mine.”
Inwardly she tensed. What kind of precedent had she set! "I-I'm not a loose woman, you know!" She spoke to her fingers. "You can't just-- a kiss doesn't-- This pattern of behavior is not... typical." It was hard for her to get out a complete thought when she kept interrupting herself. Her mistletoe rustled. She didn't ever do this kind of thing. What had gotten into her?
Ghost and Jude followed Pluto back ready to help where needed except that before they reached the demolished and open square, Jude caught Ghost's arm.
She looked at his inquisitively and he stood quiet and concentrating for some time. "Someone is screaming." She blinked and tried to listen, but with the car alarms, sirens, and sounds or war going on it was hard to hear much of anything specific, let alone something distant. She opened her mouth to ask, but Jude was already shaking his head.
"I can't connect to people I don't know, but I hear... screaming. Not words, just panic. Must be a psychic or someone as simple-minded as you. And they're in trouble."
Jude lead the way. People were streaming around like chicken without heads, but that was relatively normal for a war zone. The abnormal thing was that the people had guns. Someone had the presence of mind to approach the interlopers that had walked into their relatively sterile looking building. It would have been pristinely white everywhere had someone not taken a chunk out of the wall with what looked like a ship's anchor. Ghost kicked unconcernedly at the anchor that was still embedded in the wall like someone might kick the tires of a used car.
The man pointed the gun at Jude and was shouting a steady stream of words. Too bad there was no translator here. "Whoever it is, they are close." Jude pointed toward a hallway and Ghost complied. A gust of wind forced the gunman backward quite suddenly. He maintained a grip on his gun somehow, but not control of it. He squeezed off several accidental rounds into the lower legs of passers by. The wind and gunfire seemed to scare off most of the scattered security before Ghost slammed the gunman up against a a wall next to a window that a girl was peeking out of.
Strange thing was that the girl wasn't peeking from an excepted direction. She must have been attached to the ceiling somehow because her red hair hung down into the frame of the window. She dropped and the door started pounding. Ghost and Jude looked at each other. Was that who Jude had heard?
Strike didn't back up. He knew better than to let himself be herded. He also knew better than to let Aura get close in. He danced around mostly sideways over bits of rubble and concrete so that in the end he would be relatively in the position that Aura had started in.
"Hit me with everything you have" She invited him to do his worst. No doubt she had a trick up her sleeve, but if she was asking for it... well... it was just too hard to pass up.
It always started with the little hairs at the back of his neck standing up. The air slowly filled with tension and static electricity and Strike raised his arm to the rolling black clouds. "As you wish, madam." His hand dropped and thunder clapped loudly overhead marking the massive bolt of lightning that struck the point where he had last seen Aura standing.
Kasumi hears bullets flying. She nods to herself as she uses her powers and sticks to the wall as she looks out the window she sees the two people. Kasumis hear sings she is getting out of here. God she hopes that they are here to save her. Kasumi soon hops down as she gets ready for anything.
This place is a war zone she does not know how they hurd her over eveything. Yet she was not scared of getting hurt she was scared of being stuck here forever. She soon rolls her solders she must have a loud scram yet her voice was always high pinched that could be it.
All Kasumi knows they have been taking the poison that she uses and shoeing more poisons in her. She is not sure what they are doing with them she hopes nothing bad. She was always knocked out so she did not get to ask maybe something bad that is what seemed to happen to her.
She wonders why she has so much bad luck this is what it seems yet she sees that her luck is becoming good right now. What is wateing for a little while longer to get out of there? She will have to get her outfit also. She is sure that she will have to fight yet she did not care as long as she is out of the damed room.
Jupiter roared his out rage, he attempted to grapple her with his hands and might regret the decision if the furious heat turned on the next thing that held her down. He released with his extra crispy tail just as he closed in with his hands. If she was really quick there was a moment to escape but other than that. She would be broken soon enough. He didn’t even want to slam her through the floor now he would just crush her, with his hands and watch the agony register on her face. His tail my never be the same.
(Will edit if he doesn’t catch her) His fingers pressed into her delicate girly fresh and purple and yellow flowers erupted in bruises on her ribs. The sound of breaking bones would follow soon enough, after that there would be blood. Her blood. Every where. ~~~~~~~~~~
Saturn smirked and began to let loose a flame but it died just as quickly as his expression the little man bounced a couple times and dove into the void almost unnoticed behind the man Pluto was seating down Mercury was he? Dead.
Mars paused where he was shocked at this turnoff events, but his mind pressing forward and realizing that he shouldn’t be…but who and how. Mercury was unstable but who could handle him much less him and Pluto.
Abyss was wailing as he charged forward. He only took a moment to chastise the interloper. ‘you were foolish to have come here. You will stay as long as I like and then you will die.” Abyss had lied to the young man on both accounts. He would stay until he felt the next void open and he would not die unless he found a way to kill himself that abyss had never been able to figure out. Harm in the void was nearly impossible.
Saturn stumbled over to Pluto with tears in his eyes. “ how? Who? Who did this to him?”
Pluto looked up the guilt in his evident, Saturns eyes widended and rage lit them up. Pluto rose and tilted the off guard Saturn’s arms upward and squeezed the trigger down on flame thrower lighting Saturn up. Pluto then ducked and flung Saturn as far as he could.
Saturn sailed through the air screaming as the fire consumed him. The back pack of fuel worked just as it had on all of those Russian soldiers and exploded.
…two down.
Pluto braced himself for Abyss and Mars and was astounded by the fact that Mars still held still. He was watching him warily. Trying to decided who or what had possessed his gentle brother.
Abyss had no time for questions as he collided with Pluto the pair going down into the ground with a crack that literally cleaved the ground asunder. They began to grapple with the newly formed crack in the earth and losing temporarily the fight that they hungered for…Pluto now had Abyss alone at least for the moment.
Mars stared into the distance and then the hole….what was happening here! Was it truly for the best that they had all taken their own paths. It certainly looked that way for the dead deranged mercury. Mars walked over to check for a pulse…but did not when he saw the blood amassing behind his head.
"I-I'm not a loose woman, you know!"
~~“I know.”
"You can't just—
We can
a kiss doesn't—
it does
This pattern of behavior is not... typical."
“I am sure that it is not, but then has anyone accused you of being typical? They certainly have never called me any such thing. I do think that if you let yourself do what you wanted you might find yourself liberated.” His eyes beckoned her to give into to the passion behind the damn. It was in her the reservoir, behind the pent up rules and moral. If he could but let her notice a crack in the dam, the river would let loose.
He held his hand on her elbow. “Fleur, you are delicate and I would not treat you other wise.” The intensity in his eyes lit up the absolute purity in her was such an aphrodisiac, her hair and the plant life encouraging them on. He would pursue her as long as he had the chance. She was as he predicted, delicious.
