The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"Yeah, it is a relief..." Arielle repeated as Geo parked the car. She opened the door and exited the vehicle as he did, and shivered in the cold, hugging herself and tightening her hoodie. She shook her head with a sigh watching Geo remove his buttoned shirt.
"What now? Trying to show off your build?" she asked walking over to him and grabbing his hand. "Lets hurry up and get inside where it's warm. I can't stay out in this cold too long..." she said pulling him along through the parking lot and into the theater.
"Alrighty....so, whats gonna be tonight's feature?" she asked looking at the Playing Now list.
Geo laughed when Arie now accused him of trying to show off his build. "Yes that was my whole plan, not to look less dressed up or anything." Geo said in a sarcastic tone as Arie dragged into the theater and asked him what it was they were watching. "Well I don't know, we never decided, Horror, Comedy or Action?"

"I think I wanna go for horror tonight. It's been awhile since I have," Arielle said looking through the movie titles. She frowned as she saw that they all had PG-13 ratings. "Jesus Christ and they're all lame ghost movies...." she sighed and turned back to Geo.
"Seriously you choose a movie and get our tickets," she told him as she handed him $10 for hers. "I'm hungry as hell. Gotta hit up the concession stand.. Meet you over there."
Geo smirked at Arie's irritation at the movie, she was adorable when she was all steamed up. Geo turned after she walked off and saw that she was right, there was only PG-13 movies on the board. Now where was the fun in that. He looked through them and looked for one that didn't start with the word 'the'. When he finally reached the counter he reluctantly took Arie's ten dollars and ten of his own and slipped it across the counter. Normally he would pay then slip the ten back into Arie's pocket but A) he knew it would make Arie think that Geo thought this was a date and B) Geo didn't think he'd be getting in a good 'position' to slip the money in her pocket.
"Two tickets for 'Unholy' please." Geo said briefly then took the tickets from the clerks hands and walked towards the concession stand where he saw Arie in line. Her back was turned to him and his first instinct was to wrap his arms around her from behind and whisper into her ear but he mentally smacked himself. He thought to himself that maybe he should get some mental therapy about this whole ladies man thing....He walked up on Arie's left slide and gently touched her elbow as he stood next to her. He held out one ticket and put on a crooked smile. "Hey look! No 'The'!" He teased chuckling slightly.

"Unholy?" Arielle tried not to make a look of disgust as she read the title of the movie. "That stupid rip off of The Exorcist? Now that was a good movie thats started with 'The' " she chuckled as she was next up in line to place her order at the concession stand. She ordered an XL Popcorn and 2 large sodas, and order of nachos and a pack o fsour gummy worms. Part of her wanted to cry having to spend $15 bucks on it, but that was nothing compared to the $478 she dropped the other day on new clothes and shoes.
"I thought we could share. I'll be the nice one and treat you since you didn't have the decency to hand me back my money and pay for my ticket. Even if this isn't a date, it would have been the gentlemanly thing to do," she smirked and wondered off to the theater with arms full of junk food.
Geo's mouth hung open in disbelief as Arie gave him crap. He was frozen in place as she walked away. Then a mischievous grin formed on his face, well if that was the way she wanted to play it then it was on. He pulled out a twenty from his pocket and put it in his left hand as he lightly jogged after her. He slowed on her right side and gently slid the bill in her pocket, a slight reverse pick pocket skill, and stood in front of her. "Well since I'm so bad at this movie thing then perhaps you could at least use me for my muscles." He said and gently picked up the sodas popcorn and nachos from Arie then stuck out his tongue at her playfully.
"You're such a dork," Arielle laughed as Geo took her snacks. "Thanks for the $20 though. You're too kind..." she said following him into the theater. Luckily, they had arrived when they did as it seemed to be already filled with people. Mostly preteens who thought they were all that and a bag of chips because they were out past the street lights and high on starbucks.
"Lovely. Follow me..." Arielle said and ascended the steps and found two seats luckily opened right in the middle. She squeezed her way though and plopped down in her seat and grinned as the elemental took his.
"Thanks you're a doll," she said taking the tub of popcorn and began to immediately snack on it. "This had better be a good movie."
Geo couldn't help but grin when Arie called him a dork, only to have his smile wiped clean when he was called out on the twenty. "Well I guess that you wouldn't take it if I gave it to you straight but I promise, if you try to give that back it will be somewhere on your person by the end of the night." Geo followed Arie into the theater and couldn't help but laugh out loud when he saw the crowd, it was all preteen couples! They're moms were probably out shopping for their clothes while they watched a movie and attempted to get to first base.
He walked after Arie to seats in the middle, in his opinion the best seats in the house. The front of the theater was to close you have to move to see the whole screen. The back was too far because you felt obligated to watch the other people and try to ruin they're fun. He sat in the seat next to her placing his feet on the back of the seat in front of him, not enough to make the person in the seat uncomfortable. "I don't know, this movie looks kinda scary," Geo said in a tone mocking the little kids. "Maybe, there will even be a drop of blood!" He did his best middle school gasp then laughed. "Sorry it looked like the only movie that had a budget over a hundred dollars." He said sincerely to Arie.
"It's alright. I suppose you can't really judge a movie by it's trailer or poster. The Sixth Sense creeped the hell out of me back when it came out. Then again I was only 9 years old. " she smiled. A few minutes more of chatting, the lights in the theater finally dimmed and the previews began to play, which was Ari's favorite part. She liked to see the trailers and choose which movies were gonna be awesome, had which ones should have had their scripts burned.
"Oh god. Really? Saw IV?! Jesus christ, they just keep pumpin them out every halloween. There's no real story line now. It's basically just a snuff film. Then again, I enjoy watching people get cut up in movies. It's always funny to see what creative ways the writer can come up with for killing someone off."
Geo chuckled lightly as Arie recalled her childhood encounter with the movie 'Sixth-sense'. "Na, nothing tops 'Se7en'. That movie is insane and gory in the very meaning of the words." He settled into his seat and quieted down as the previews began, these were always amusing and exciting. He would decides which ones he would go see and which ones he would tell all of his friends not to see. Well, that was back when he actually had friends who cared about that stuff. Ever since he became a mutant he had been almost completely consumed in the war between mutants and humans.
"Well of course they're going to make another Saw, nobody wants to come up with a no script anymore, just take one and switch around a few words." He took a small peace of popcorn out of the bucket on Arie's lap and popped it into his mouth. The lights went dim as the movies began to start and the couple in the seats in front of them began to get close and turn towards each other. Great, if the stupid movie didn't make him sick watching little kids attempt to make out would. He swiftly pushed down on the seat in front of him knocking the preteen boy forward. The boy swiftly looked back and glared at Geo, who stuck out his tongue at the boy and began chuckling to himself.
"You're such a blocker..." Arielle laughed at Geo who spoiled the moment for the two preteens in front of them. She remembered being in 8th grade in a dark movie theater on a date with some cute guy. And here she was 5 years later in a dark theater with a cute guy. "I hate you..." she cursed the sin of lust.
"I say we show the youngins how to really lock lips," Arielle smirked, taking another bite of popcorn. "I mean, it's the least we can do is share the knowledge of how to have the perfect make-out session in the theaters." she giggled.
Geo chuckled harder when Arie teased him about ruining the young teen's time, only to be silent when she asked if he wanted to show the kids how it was done. He raised his eyebrows and a crooked smile formed on his lips. "What happened to Mister Perfect, you know. The one who 'denied' we last week?" Geo asked, with any one else he would have gone right for it, no questions asked. But with Arie there was the slight chance that she was messing with him to trick Geo into getting denied again and have a few laughs.
"That's a good question..." Arielle said lowering her head. "He's been so busy. I haven't seen or really heard from him in almost a month. Funny when we were together everyday was just awesome and perfect, but since he's been gone. I don't know. I mean, I really want to wait for him because I really do love him., but how can two people have a relationship when they don't see each other? I'm starting to think that he's moved on or something. I hope to god that's not the truth but, why else would he be gone all the time and never call? I don't get it at all. I'm so confused..." she said as tears started to sting her eyes.
"I don't want to just give up hope. I want to believe he will come back, but what if he doesn't? I've never been dumped before. All my past relationships have ended because I ended them. Still, being told to my face that I'm not wanted anymore is better than just taking off and not saying anything." she sniffed. Everyday she had wanted to cry on the subject but when Geo asked his question and she had to think of the answer, it all started to over flow from her eyes.
Geo's face went serious as Arie spoke, her story, the pain, it all sounded so familiar. Deja had done the same exact thing to him, just disappeared, no messages no break up just the empty feeling inside. Geo wiped the tears from Arie's eyes with his left hand and lifted her chin with his right. He gently touched his lips to her's before pulling back and looking deep into her eyes. "I know exactly what you mean, Deja left me the same way remember. It was the first time a girl ever left me, and it was the first time I had ever been in love too. That feeling that maybe one day they'd come back and wonder why you didn't wait for them but you can't wait all eternity for someone who doesn't care enough to not stick around Arielle, I found that out two months after Deja disappeared." He rubbed his left thumb gently against her cheek. He hated seeing a beautiful girl cry.
"I'm sorry..." she said after Geo brought Deja back up and told her of his pain. "I don't want to sit around waiting forever....then again, part of me does because we had so much and I don't want to give it all up. I just don't get it. If things are so good, why would he leave? I mean, I understand he has a job and he can't always be around, but he could at least call. He didn't even tell me where he was going." she sighed as Geo pressed his thumb against her cheek.
"I'm sorry for ruining the mood. I can just go if you want me to."
