The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*tricity was walking outside on the grounds after dinner, looking at the paper to see what was going on in the world. she sat on one of the cold, metal benches, and began to read an article at the bottom of the front page.*
The three of them walk out into the front yard. Jordan, having telekenetically found the button, and is ready to push it, stands next to orion and tricity. A helicopter lands in front of them, and a man in tactical clothing gets out. The helicopter's blazes remain spinning, creating a strong breeze and giving the impression that he does not intend to stay long.
Orion moved up to he man. Shadowing him with his vast size Orion converses with the man for a minute, but behind his back they could see Orions left hand smoking, lightly. He was getting ready for something, very dangerous.
Jordan holds the knife inside of his pocket, having a feeling that he might need to use it soon.
The man walks up to Tricity. "Your friend here says you don't have my stone. But, honestly i don't believe him. I think he is lying, and i think that you are also." He says with the cool steely voice that is a result of years of military service.
i told you...i dont have the stupid stone. my former boss has it *he looked at her up and down.* commanding officer: "whats his name?" i...i dont remember. man: "how convenient..." *two more men in uniform stepped out of the helicopter and stood next to it, seemingly waiting for command.* i dont have the stone!! he works in the city...on 53rd street. an abandoned building. if you dont find him there, then you can come back here and TRY to attack us again. *the man thought this through and then nodded.* commanding officer: "fine...we'll be in touch." *he turned around and radioed something to the others in the mansion. they all came outside the front doors and retreated back into the helicopters, leaving the mansion.* thank God...
As the groups headed toward their choppers Orion waved jovially at them as they took off and as his hand ducked beyond their view he reached down into his jacket and pulled out his pistol and fired one round into the spare fuel tank causing it to leak. Smiling because noone noticed it he turned and followed the other two into the mansion again.
"So i guess i might have come at a bad time, but im here to take up an offer that professor xavier made," Jordan says "Twelve years ago he told me that his house would always have room for me if i should need a place to stay."
*tricity stopped and turned to face him as they stood on the steps.* oh! he hadn't told me a new mutant was coming to the mansion...i'm guessing he doesn't really know you're here then?
*tricity stepped out onto the front yard and saw whitmore standing near the helicopter, the blades still spinning. the wind was making it hard for her to walk toward whitmore, so she shut down the bird mentally. whitmore turned around as the engine died and the pilot looked around confused as the electricity went out. she walked up to whitmore, crossing her arms over her chest.* whitmore: "Delilah, nice to see you again." "Wish I could say the same. What the hell do you want? I told you, no one here has any information on the stones. You need to get off this property." whitmore: "You should be careful using your powers, being 7 months pregnant and all. Didn't that old coot tell you not to be using your powers?" *tricity gritted her teeth as he spoke about the docprof. she had half a mind to shoot him down with a bolt of lightning, but tricity still had no control over that amount of power and could harm herself in the process of trying to get rid of whitmore and his troops.* "Whitmore, what can I do for you??" whitmore: "There are some new mutants to your institute and I would like to speak to them." "No." *whitmore motioned for three of his tactical soldiers to come from the helicopter.* "You're troops don't scare me, Whitmore. Get off my property or I'll force you off." *she started to walk away, but she heard the clicking of the guns as the soldiers readied themselved. tricity stopped and turned around, her eyes completely black now that she had absorbed the electricity from the helicopter.* "Whitmore, leave now. I'm warning you." whitmore: "You wouldn't endanger your baby, would you?" *the general said, smiling wickedly.*
Again, it wasn't readily apparent when Mike arrived. His power let him suppress people noticing him, or reacting to him, and he did just that until he was standing behind Tricity.
"Gentlemen," he said quietly, his eyes glowing blue despite his best efforts to keep his power toned down, "There are children who are rather frightened at the sight of guns. I think it would be wise if you took her advice."
Though the general couldn't see it, both he and Tricity were surrounded by a telekinetic field to ward off bullets.
I don't want to scare the kids. They've seen enough invasions of the mansion. Are Daria and Johnathon watching them?
*The General looked Mike up and down, trying to survey him.* "General, please. No one here would know anything about those ancient stones." whitmore: "I disagree." *Whitmore didn't even glance at Tricity as he looked at Cassiel.* whitmore: "Cassiel, right? I remember seeing your picture in my records recently. Though, I haven't been able to read up on you. What might your powers be?"
"Daria's getting the kids somewhere away from here, where they can't see what's going on out here."
"My powers include wondering who the hell you are that you need to know that. Oh, and I can make you have an unnatural attraction to poodles for a month if you press your luck."
"And yes, Ms. Tipper, I can do that. Don't ask how I know that."
