The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The night air was cool and refreshing as Ryan continued his stroll through the dimly lit park. Recently, he had decided to take such leisurely strolls as to help him think and get things straightened out. Family, money, all these things went through his head as he walked along the winding path. He often wished that he could just win the lottery or attempt to go as far as selling drugs but both were something he would never consider was within his grasp. Ryan lifted his head as he took in a deep breath to keep himself in a serene state of mind. The park, at this time of night, was something that kept him on edge and constantly aware. This was the place where people were robbed, mugged, or killed during this time. He had regrets about coming in the first place but decided to put on a courageous face and go on with it.
The thought of muggers and killers brought memories rushing back into his head. He had remembered when he had gotten mugged in the alley. He didn't like confessing on how scared he was and had to remake the story to make it seem he was tougher. "That guy was a mutant." He said; thinking to himself. He had remember seeing the orange flicker of light then the small globe of fire that erupted. He was scared almost half to death and had thought he was going to die. Ryan's train of thought was interrupted as he saw a squirrel cross his path and ran up the nearest tree. "Just a squirrel." He said jokingly. His original thoughts returned to him as he ventured deeper into the park.
Ryan remembered what had happened. In the process of being mugged by the mutant, he could see how the power of the mutant was being used and controlled. Instinctively, his body reacted and he could produce the same flame the mutant made. He also had fired it without even wielding such power before hand and that's what scared him most. Was he also a mutant? He didn't want this on him along with his other problems. Ryan stuck his hands inside his the pockets of his jacket as he continued his walk.

Devon walked out of a market holding a bag of fruit in his hands. Shopping was something Devon loved to do but spending money was the double edge of buying, which Devon grieved about. With his green hoop up and white sweat pants Devon had a rush of enlightenment when people looked at his outfit while exiting the store. Even though Devon dressed liked a street thug sometimes he was very conceited, and would not think less of himself. Entering the side walk the cool breeze flowed threw Devon's hood slowly taking it off his head, peering at the cars going by Devon continued his walk to Central Park. Bouncing his bag on his leg he strolled down the side walk flicking people off and laughing at them. Devon couldn't help but tapping into his immaturity sometimes, and the thought of making humans mad gave him a slight adrenaline rush which Devon loved to feel.
Finally reaching the park Devon crossed over the street and entered the grass area, "About time, now I can eat in peace" he thought as he walked into the center. Seeing a man walking a few feet away from him Devon's immaturity once again stepped out of bounds. "Hey you, stop looking depressed!" he said to the mysterious man. Devon haven't seen him in his trips to Central Park and seeing new faces in his favorite territory always made Devon suspicious. Walking up to the man he took an apple out of his bag and tossed it to him, "I bought a lot of food and you look homeless, so take that and feed your starving children" he said jokingly.
A startled look appeared on Ryan's face as he turned to the one who spoke to him. He wore a greenish like hooded shirt, white sweat pants and a bag full of stuff that Ryan wouldn't even try to guess. The way he walked and dressed sent a thought through Ryan's head that this guy was perhaps someone who was looking to take money or perhaps kill him. He had learned from the last time, he got robbed, and hadn't taken any chances. Fiddling with the knife in his pocket, he tried to express a smile on his face. "I'm just thinking of something that happened earlier." He said responding to the question. Ryan didn't want to agitate nor cause any commotion with this stranger.
"I bought a lot of food and you look homeless, so take that and feed your starving children"
Ryan caught the apple with his left hand and twirled it around. It wasn't that he was suspicious of the food but it was something he never really encountered. Especially accepting it from someone like this guy. On any other day, he would have laughed at the comment made by the stranger but he had a lot on his mind and currently lacked the sense of humor. Ryan tossed the apple back to the stranger. Again, he didn't want to cause any kind of trouble but his pride didn't allow him to just stand around taking food from people who looked like they needed it themselves. "Thanks but I'm not homeless and don't have any children." He said with a more stronger tone of voice. Hopefully that would scare him off he thought to himself. He couldn't help but wonder as he could have sworn he saw a glint of bright green eyes from beneath the hood.

Catching the apple in his left had Devon examined his other hand to see if he was still moving it inside his pockets. A blank expression came across Devon's face and his eyes went back to the mans. Devon was having a good day today, he scared the tourists at town square and used his Trolls to scare the children in the school yard. But seeing this man and the emotion he was emitting made Devon depressed which he promised he would feel today. Twirling the apple in his left hand the man looked at it suspiciously, tossing it back to Devon he caught it with his right hand while his left hand stayed in his pockets.
As the night air continued to flow on the side walk of the park, Devon hood was slowly shifting due to the wind. Breaking the silence in the heavy air the man spoke "Thanks but I'm not homeless and don't have any children" he said with a solid tone which Devon liked. The wind shaking off Devon's hood around his eyes, the shadow of the hood rose above Devon's eye length slightly exposing his bright green eyes. Taking off his hood he replied "Dang, your missing out on the good life" he said as his voice sunk to a deeper level. The man obviously didn't want Devon's company which only made him talk more. "Out for a nice little walk are we?" he asked with a smile on his face.
Tucking both hands in his pockets the noises of the cars echoed in New York city as the street lights came on. Slightly shivering to the cold breeze he tilted his head in a curious manner and waited for the mysterious man to respond.
Alexandra was taking a shortcut trough the park on the way to her apartment. A cool breeze made her hair move from side to side. She closed the zipper of her jacked and continued to walk. Surely, she could have taken a cab but after being in a coma for eight months she wanted to walk.
Her thoughts drifted to what Slate had told her. Her newest mission. She understood now why Hunter was keeping her hidden from other Kabal members. He probably had the same idea as Slate. Make her a spy.
Circe smiled to herself as she thought about it. Spying on the X-Men. That was … thrilling. All the acting she’d have to do. The constant danger hanging over her head. Back in Romania, while hiding her mutant powers, days were way too boring for her to like. She liked it here in America and swore to herself never to leave it again. Her attention was drawn by the sound of voices somewhere in the distance. She couldn’t figure what they were saying but clearly were in her way. She continued her walk at a slower pace. As she approached, she saw the two men, one tossing something at the other and babbling something. She didn’t stop, or made a detour. Her plan was to continue her journey back home without being disturbed by those two.
"Tell me about it." Ryan said replying to this guy's comment. Mainly due to his problems and struggle, he was really missing out on some fun things. As matter of fact, he couldn't really remember the last good thing that had ever happened to him. A smirk appeared on his face from thinking of such a thought. Was his life really that bad to where he couldn't actually enjoy life a bit? He couldn't help but ponder over this as he raised his hand to scratch the back of his head. He couldn't help but wonder why this guy was so concerned about his life and even bothered talking to him. He looked up at the man and saw the green eyes that he thought he was part of his imagination. It was strange for Ryan to see such eyes on someone such as this. He wasn't used to someone of that skin tone with those kind of eyes.
"Out for a nice little walk are we?"
"Yeah just out for a night stroll." He said looking down at his open hand. What he was more concerned about now was how he had managed to perform the same fire the thief made. Ryan continued flicking his hand up and down as if to summon the fire again. He figured it was probably part of his imagination as he was scared at the time and his mind could have created such a thing. "What do you think of this mutant thing people are talking about?" He said with a questioning look. He didn't know why he asked but since it seems that the stranger was trying to strike up a conversation, he would start by asking what was on his mind. He was somewhat curious on what the green eyed guy would say but something, out of the corner of his eye, caught his attention. A feminine figure was approaching them from an angle which forced him to look in that direction. He couldn't completely make out her face at this time of night but judging from her figure he would assume she was attractive; he hoped.
[OOC: Sorry guys, I have to leave a thread so I can make space for another and unfortunately, this is the one that I'm not involved too deep in it.]
Alexandra continued to walk, her pace steady. She knew she was being watched but never turned her eyes to look at the two men. She passed, hoping they won't be looking for trouble as she wasn't in the mood for a fight. The training this morning had drained her energy and felt like she needed to recharge before going back to business.

Devon stood there watching the cars go by as the mans voice broke his attention, "What do you think of this mutant thing people are talking about?" He asked as Devon looked at him strangely. It was a anonymous question indeed but Devon smirked as his response, "Mutants are the next step in evolution, unlike humans like you, we... I mean they actually are the powerful ones" Devon said while holding a stare at the man. Devon was never ashamed of expressing his superiority for mutants even if it cost him his own identity which was a downfall. Taking his hands out his pockets he stared at the man with a blank smile, "are you a mutant Mr. Mystery?" he said while tilting his head.
Devon felt tension rise between the two and the clouds swirled obove them indicating that a storm was coming. As the night breeze danced around the Central park the whispers of the grass seemed to stop as Devon's question was asked.
