The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Geo smiled widely as Arielle hinted on the fact that she was a mutant, which brought great relief to him. He leaned down and picked up a loose peace of concrete off the ground and stood straight, unable to resist looking over her figure again as he stood up. "Well that depends on something Ms. Brazil..." He began, he juggled the pebble for a moment before slamming both of his palms into it, a ripple formed across his arms as the slowly transformed. Rocks rolled over his arms replacing his skin, his arms also grew in length so that they were hanging at his mid shin. He then looked deep into Arielle's eyes, a fiery look in his.
"Whats your opinion on mutants?" He asked a crooked grin forming on his face.

"An earth elemental...Geo....it works!" Arielle laughed and clapped at his display of powers. "My opinion on mutants are that they're the best thing to happen in evolution since man grew a brain big enough to invent things..." she responded and turned her own arms into a transmute liquid state.
"It's just a shame that not all people agree. They treat us like dirt because we're different. Man kind has always feared what they don't understand. Funny who they're the smartest species on the planet, yet the most ignorant at the same time. I really do pity those who write mutants off as just mistakes of nature...." she said, taking a more serious expression.
Geo's complexion went a shade paler as Arielle transformed into he liquid state. "A w-water elemental, nice." He said, trying to cover up his fear. He shook his head to clear out the thoughts and transformed his arms back to their normal state. The sleeves on his arms were torn but it was worth it. He reached up and tore off the shreads of his sleeves turning the sleeved shirt sleeveless, revealing at the same time that the intricate tattoos went all the way up both muscular arms.
Then the subject he knew would be the hardest for him came up, humans. He couldn't help but let a bit of anger show up on his face. "Humans are filthy insects and are ment to serve under us by law of nature, we are superior and they need to learn that." He continued in his anger for a moment and the earth under them gave a slight quiver as he calmed himself down to his normal composure. "Sorry..." He mumbled, glancing around to make sure he hadn't drawn attention.

"It's...fine..." Arielle responded a bit nervous by the mild earth trimmer. Returning her arms back to normal as well she look back to Geo. "It's obvious you've been hurt by them before. Not all humans are bad. My parents accepted me for who and what I am." she said walking over and standing beside Geo.
"There's really no reason to write all of them off as bad. Its like getting a batch of eggs. You don't throw all if them away because one is rotten. Now, cheer back up. Anger doesn't suit you. You're much cuter with a smile."
Geo didn't respond to Arielle as she spoke, just listened. It was obvious that she wouldn't understand his views by the way she was accepted. She had never had to physically pay for what she was, never been beaten near death because she was accidently revealed. But then again he didn't know this girl. It was obvious that she would fit in with the goodies but hearing her view on humans was refreshing. He had heard the bitter side so much it was a breath of fresh air to hear the other side, he still didn't agree but it was refreshing.
Realizing he had fallen off his game he decided to lighten things up. "Well now I see how you get your soothing personality, what do they call you Hydro." He said with a wink as he turned so that he was facing her again. "Come on gorgeous, tell me what exactly can you do...that you haven't shown me already that is." He said smiling slyly as he referenced he position while he lay on the ground earlier.
"Hydro...Actually, I'm called Nereid....like a sea nymph..." Arielle responded, biting her lower lip as Geo turned to face her again. "And I can do a lot of things...I can cook, I can swim really good. I'm a Jacqueline of all trades. You'd have to be more specific about what you want to know about" she spoke. Arielle couldn't help but wonder...he was an earth elemental, did he have a gravitational pull like the earth cause something was trying to draw her nearer to him and she was trying her hardest to resist it.
"Swimming...not my greatest skill." Geo chuckled, and his charming smile reappeared when she told him he had to be specific. He took a step close to her, dangerously close as always. He was quite a bit taller then her but it worked. "Skills..." He mumbled to himself as if thinking. "How about..." His right hand lingered, first gently grazing against her hip, across he stomach. It then lingered up her arm, gliding by touching briefly now and again. Across her collar bone and then up her left cheek, barely touching. His four finger then gently lifted her chin so that he was looking at her directly. He leaned towards her slightly a playful look in his eye as he whispered, "...Instruments"
"Instruments?" Arielle smiled innocently with her pearly whites showing. "Well...I was in band for a bit back in middle school. I was actually my bands first chair flute player. Still posses some of that skill. I can really blow," she said looking up to him and removed his hand from under her chin.
"Unless by instruments you were implying something more...sinful?"
A deep chuckle escaped Geo's throat at he 'subtle' hint. "Very nice. But why, may I ask, would I ever imply something sinful. I'm just a gentle little boy you know." He said punctuating with a wink. He could feel the tension in the area building. Water and Earth, two apposing forces that still somehow managed to live in harmony. It was an ancient truth that he could feel radiating between the two of them. He continually fought off the urge to reach out to her, allowing the tension to build some more.
"How about...sports." He said picking another random subject.
"Sports? I may be a pretty gal, but I like to get rough..." Arielle retorted. "I've taken a liking to American Football since moving here. Not really the sport but just tackling people. I mean if you don't bring it hard there's no reason to bring it at all..." she grinned.
"My absolute favorite sport to do is swimming. nothing beats the feeling of being wet." the water elemental added, poking Geo's chest. She could definitely feel that this tension was going in dangerous territory and she knew she should stop, but she couldn't. It was beginning to be like tennis. Every ball he served, Arielle knocked it back in his court and vice versa. This was definitely not a good position to be in. He was earth and she was water...she had to withdraw before they would end up making mud...
Geo smiled, "Well your talking to the man who used to be that star quarterback for the whiteford bobcats, I'm well known for bringing it...hard and rough. And I may not swim but I am known for getting others wet, maybe I'll show you sometime." He said his charming smile transformed into a sly one.
"Dancing? Awe...that's so cute. That's exactly what my boyfriend suggested we do on our first date! Denied!" Arielle laughed. "Sorry, maybe if we had met before...then I would take you up on your offer, but alas, I am faithful. Maybe we can stay friends? You're really good company," she said finally able to break away from his charm.
"That's scary. If you hadn't mentioned dancing and snapped me back to my senses, we could have been in your room getting better acquainted right now..." Arielle sighed. Still, Geo's flirting had left her wanting to have a bit of fun. She made a note to call Aiden later for a play date.
Geo had the egotistical wind knocked out of his lungs, he had to fight hard to not physically flinch from the attack. The smile turned into a playful frown. "Aw, and it was just getting good." Story of his life, he had finally met his flirtatious equal and alas she was taken. It was an obstacle he had worked over before but he didn't want to push this one. "Such a shame though, I think you and I would have had some real fun together." He ran his finger along her cheek yet again before tucking both of his thumbs back into his jeans. "If you ever decide to find out exactly how water corrodes earth you'll have to give me a call."
He was pretty sure she had just signaled that they should end they're little get together so he figured there was one thing left. "Can I at least drive you home, I know your just dying to get a ride from me."

"Who says just because I'm taken we can't have fun? Innocent clean fun I mean," she added quickly before Geo could take it as a sign for a little infidelity. "And I would love a ride. Just not back home. That's kind of the reason I'm out now is to get some fresh air." Arielle smiled. She was a total wreck this morning, but this guy had managed to cheer her up a bit. The least she could do was except his offer of a motorcycle ride.
"By the way, you never told me what exactly this place is. What's really up with the golden doors?"
Geo grinned when Arielle purposely rephrased her statement to keep Geo from making a pun. She had obviously realized the way his mind worked in the short time that they knew each other. Then she asked him the question he had purposely dodged when he thought she may be human. Het the large golden doors and then back to his beautiful companion.
"The doors act as a beacon, to mutants who have nowhere to turn. Have been rejected from society and need shelter. They call this place 'The Sanctuary' because that's exactly when it is. They took me in here when I moved out of the mansion almost a year ago." His eyes seemed to be a million miles away as he ran over the memory of his first time coming through those doors.
