The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Vicious in nature where the many howls coming from her dorm. Since coming her she had found that most of what she was doing was just biding time forcing herself to sit around while she got nothing done.Writhing in pain and anger Mir could see from her bed that her black dyed hair was slowly growing longer and more and more grey. She knew what that meant but she could not bring herself to get walk all the way down to the danger room and sleep in there one more night. Turning her head the other way she caught a glimpse of the moon it was far from full that nightmare had pasted but it was enough to make her far more aggressive then she was normally.on hand in knee she quickly and violently slammed her face into her pillow. It was always more of the same the same pain the same fiery burning sensation.
Pushing her body away from the bed for a few she place one of her hands to her rib cage, this was always the part she hated. With a quick breaking sound(CRUNCH) she fell back down to her bed. slowly and with great effort she rolled on to her back rib readjusting was always a common part of these transformations and they where always a huge shock to the system when they happened. Frustrated with the way things where going she tossed her hands up to the top of her bed dragging her claws up the head broad she eased the pain a bit and dulled the fierce tidal waves of thought she would rather keep suppressed and emotions she would rather not have. Grabbing her ribs again she could feel another one popping in to it's new place .
Unable to stand it she place her hand at her sides and pusher her self off of her sheets with a feverish delirium setting in. Hazy she opened her door and looked down the halls it was a bit latter so luckily the halls were mostly empty. Out of the room she found her balance off it was if she could not find where her center was. Falling to her side a bit she met the wall with a loud thud. luckily for her the wall was there or else she could have just hit the floor. Still hazy she put her claws deep into the wall unintentionally this left large scar like tears along the wall paper as she forced her self along. Preventing this was why she came here and she was no closer to her goal yet it had been close to a week and still nothing.
Well he was allowed to stay for the night. But sleep was impossible. After all this time he found what he was looking for, and even after exploring most of the mansion he was still astounded. It was late at night now, and in his exploring he heard a loud hud from one of the hallways. Curious he decided to go see.
Once he managed to reach the source of the noise he found something he was not expecting, one of the residents was out and seemingly in pain. He moved closer to help when he noticed the wall and her claws. "Are you okay" He asked sincerely, but still keeping his distance.
Snapped out of her daze almost violently she looked up at a new face nothing about him was familiar and in most cases that would result in her freaking out but she had the clarity and presence of mind to at least react in more human manor. Taking her hand away from the wall she brought it down to her chest this cause her to completely fall fall on to against the wall. Smiling a slightly arduous and forced grin she pit her back against the wall. "You might as well...just keep moving...it appears that i have no choice but to sit through this ever other night," she said lifting her shirt a bit, under her skin there where a few bumps slowly moving to different places. with her small grin shifting and twisting she keeled over for a seconds the burning was becoming more intense with time as always. With a couple of light growls out of her system she tired to slowly regain her composure.Sprawling out on to the floor she got on hands and knee as her tail emerged slowly from her shorts. "Honestly i can't tell you how annoying this is...and this place is no help at all," she said glancing up her amber eyes focusing on his face for the first time. the thought of her last comments was enough to just make her wanna scream but seeing how that got her where she was now she just slowly ran a claw against the carpets pulling up a small section of it as she pulled her hand back down and to a round her hip area.
David wanted to help, but what could he possibly do. She seemed like she was used to what was going on, at least to a point. David quickly walked forward as she showed him what was happening "Oh my god, is there anything at all I can do?" He asked hopelessly. Whatever was going on it seemed their was nothing he could do, which only frustrated him.
David knelt down next to her, speechless at what he saw, the next thing he saw was a tale "uhmm are you some kind of werewolf?" He asked trying to guess at what was going on.
It was nice to have a caring eye this time around most here just kinda brushed it off as her problem to deal with alone. Having not gotten in contact with this Emerald person Mir found her self lost in some type of limbo she could not be helped it was almost maddening. Still slouched over a bit she raised only her head as if surprised that he noticed the tail. looking back she wagged her tail a bit she was a bit disappointed to see it. "Sadly unless you have some serious sleep meds on you there is not much you can do or if you know a woman called Emerald if you would point me out to her i would be more than happy," she said grimacing a bit in pain. Thought she was not likely to transform much more than this it was still safer for all is she took a small walk.
When he knelt down close to her she flinched a bit it was slightly weird to have some one to close during this nice little process."Umm yes I am but i prefer the term lycanthrope...if you don't mind,"she said trying to make a slight joke out of the situation."Any ways that's not th...." with that said she let out a labored cough and hack every once in a while the whole rib shifting thing got to her a bit and a cough was necessary."Sorry bout that...and you are?" she questioned pushing her self away from the carpet. Sitting back against the wall once more she was in a better position to talk to this new and interesting person.
Looked like she was out of luck, David didn't have any pills or knew this Emerald person. "Sorry, I don't have anything to help you sleep, and this is my first night here, I don't know anybody." He said giving her a helpless look. David forced a laugh out at her joke, at least she was in a good enough condition to laugh over everything. "I'll make sure to remember that next time." Once he saw her lean against the wall he decided to do the same on the opposite side facing her "I'm David by the way, what's your name?"
Looking up at the ceiling she almost seemed to be searching for the answer to his question on up there. As long as she could remain relatively calm she could halt the painful process that tormented her each night. Remembering her full name which she never used she took her gaze off the ceiling to answer his question. "I am Miracle Nituna Washington which is a bit of a pun on my mothers language nituna means daughter so my name means miracle daughter of Washington my fathers last name it is quite funny. Its was said that it was a miracle that I was born so that's how i got my name. Sorry bout the life story but i have a bad habit of talking to much," she said ending her story rather sharply due to the fact she had been rambling after a certain point.
"So David you have me at a disadvantage you have seen my little dark secret so whats yours?" She said. she was hopping to find out more about this new person not many people here where so quick to be so helpful and well nice. Besides even if he did not have any thing to help her right then and there but maybe he could be of more help a bit later for who knows what reason. Shifting a bit Mir slowly eased her tail to the side siting on it was bound to make it numb in time and she had no plans on moving any time soon.
David relaxed a bit as he saw her calm down, She must be used to it, or at least to a point. "Neat story." He said smiling. He looked down either end of the hallway, surprised by how calmly everyone in the mansion, though curious about how surprised they would be in the morning when they would find a scratched up wall and carpet.
"My secret? Oh my power, well I can use my power to jack into the internet and other computers, I'm trying to teach myself to do it into other networks. I like to call it Neurojacking, though the name is a work in progress. How long have you been here anyway?" Now that he had a chance to think he was amazed by her power. "I don't think i've ever met a were... I mean Lycanthrope before, do you do that every night?"
It was always nice to meet a people and this one was seeming to be quite okay with her particularly fuzzy issue. Looking on in aw as he spoke Mir wonder just what exactly he could do with his power hacking into the internet but how. He must have meant he was some type of cyberpath but she had never met one in person so naturally she had a few questions. But before she got the chance to speak he asked her another question about her her time in the mansion and then about her cusred. "I have been here for about a 5 days now and so far this has just been a bit of a waist of time i have to go through the same thing over and over again, ya know," she said explaining her situation a bit. He likely did not want or need to here of the way she got there or about her rooming arrangements so she kept those things to herself for the time being.
Drifting of a bit into thought her fluorescent amber eyes glazed over a bit as she looked for a way to explain her particular affliction. It was not often some one stayed long enough to hear about how her powers worked. Slightly excited she was getting the chance to finally talk to someone who was actually not a dick about her whole changing problem, her tail off to the side began to wag a small bit without her noticing it was most of the time beyond her control."Well it's not the same every night but it most yeah it does happen most nights and with the full moon like the stories i turn into the whole wolfy furry thingy and terrorize people...i don't think i have eaten more then like two people though so it's all good," she explained and then ended with a small joke hoping that it would go over well it was rare that she joked so this was a bit of a stretch."So David how do you go about the whole Neurojacking thingy?"
"Wow" David thought to himself as she explained her power. To think he was meeting a real life werewolf. He had watched a lot of scary movies, ones that had indeed featured werewolves, and that history did make him a little nervous, but she was nice and that really shut out everything else. David tilted his head back and realized just how tired he was from everything. "As long as you promise not to eat me I think we could be friends." He said laughing.
Her transformation seemed to have stopped, which was a good thing. "Oh, well I just sort of zone out, I close my mind, calm myself, and then I just sorta hook in, it's kinda strange actually. I can get huge amounts of data, but it can be hard to sort through all of it, I can also download the information, which is always neat." His stomach let off a loud moan, he couldn't remember the last time he ate. "hey umm, you want to head down to the kitchen? I haven't eaten in a long time and am pretty hungry."
Miracle hate explaining the cycle of her curse but he had asked and she could not lie he would be likely to see her at least a few nights a week and in order to start any friendship she had to be honest. After she explained though she thought the joke was prefect for lifting the creepy air of it all. And when he joked back she almost lit up no one had ever reacted this well to her little issue. That sounded so interesting to her she had always wonders how the powers of those who could do things with their mind had worked. She had always hoped that maybe she could be even slightly that special but her mind was weak she could not even hold her thoughts during her little fuzzy problem.
When his stomach sounded off with a loud protest of hunger she smiled a bit his tummy was very upset with him he must not have eaten in ages she thought to herself. She had not been expecting him to ask her to come with though she was not the most comfortable about eating in front of people on certain occasions. Looking obviously visible shaken by the question she got a small look of discomfort about her face but this were going so well she could not help but to want to say yes."Well s...sure why not I think I could go for a bite to eat," she said as she shifted a bit before pushing herself off the wall and shakily standing to her feet. This could go two way she thought in her mind really good and nothing happens or it could go really bad and she could loose a shot at looking at least a bit normal, which was the only thing she ever wanted to do now a days.
