The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The flight to New York from Florida was traumatizing, but exciting for Young Devon Royals. All his life he never left outside Florida and now that he was, the thought of having a new life was unimaginable. Sitting in first class with his hood up and sunglasses on Devon was getting odd looks from the people around him. Getting weird looks was never something new for Devon, all his life he had to hide his mutation, for his secrecy and safety. Tilting his head back revealing some of his green dreadlocks Devon sighed heavily as he was about to land in New York.
"A new life, new people, new victims, and new everything, this is going to be one big adventure" Devon thought while slightly lifting his body up from the seat. Sitting beside him a young girl with blond hair, buck teeth, wearing all pink with a black Tinkerbell hood. Starring at Devon with a blissful expression Devon couldn't help but chuckle. "Hey mister, why are you wearing green makeup?" she asked in a curious tone. Reluctantly he responded "because I devour little kids like you for breakfast" he said in a malevolent tone. Being mean and heartless was Devon's finest attribute and he never was ashamed of it. Creeping back to her seat Devon perked his head up and rested his feat on the chair in front of him. A man with a bulky figure turned his head with a frown on his face "watch it punk, that was almost my head!" he yelled. "Oh I'm sorry but I don't care" Devon said while rolling his eyes and leaning back. The man made a slapping motion with his hand and slowly turned around, "dumb humans" he thought while peering out the window. Finally Arriving in New York Devon felt a rush of a new life.
Stepping out the plane and entering the airport Devon was tired and dizzy but he couldn't even blink do to the fact of how crowded the Air Port was. Every third step he took he bashed into a man or women moving four times as fast as he was. With dazzling drapes of flags and cushioned seats with white interior the Air Port itself was high class. A teenage boy ran up beside him and tripped him over his foot, falling down Devon's hood was taken off and his sunglasses were lost in the crowd. The room became absolutely silent as Devon's mutant appearance was revealed, "Mutant! Mutant! Mutant!" everyone yelled as I slowly got up.
"Yeah I'll show you all a mutant you pathetic hum.." realizing that killing everyone in the airport was a bad idea Devon hastened off towards the door and quickly ran as far as he could. It was dark out, and the whispers of the wind vibrated his mind as he walked down the stairs. Losing his breath and walking into a subway with his hood back up he was alone. "Why am I forsaken like this, I should be the boss of this town, but instead I'm running away from humans....again" he said while waiting for a tram. It was dark and musty there, and Devon couldn't help notice another presence inside the room.

Arielle let out a rather loud yawn, though covering her mouth while doing so. This was a sign of her exhaustion after a full day of errands and now all she could think about was taking a nice warm shower and crawling into bed. Especially the shower. The subway was absolutely filthy and wreaked.
"This is going for a triple cycle," she sighed looking down at her outfit that consisted of a pink turtle neck sweater, some white jeans and black boots. She was a bit upset at herself for choosing to wear white jeans especially since she would be taking the subway, but it just looked too cute with the pink sweater.
She adjusted the strap of her black purse and crossed her arms, getting aggravated on how long it was taking for the train to arrive. She wanted to get home and go to bed then and there. For no reason at all she began looking around area. Just as she did, she spotted a dark skinned young man in a black hoody looking in her direction.
"Take a picture. It'll last longer." she laughed a bit. She was getting used to these american boys staring always staring her down because of her looks, not that she was conceited, but she wasn't gonna disagree that she was beautiful. "So what are you getting yourself into tonight?" she asked the hodded man. She figured if she was going to be stuck in the subway for awhile, she might as well strike up a conversation to pass the time.

Inside the subway Devon was shaking to the cold. He had a small phobia for the dark since he was a child, and even though the subway had partial light it was still nerve wrecking. With a extra pair of glasses on and his hood up he was cautious not to reveal his identity. With a pair of jeans that were slightly ripped and dirty boots Devon wasn't in his finest mood. "If I wouldn't had lost my money back in Florida I wouldn't be in this predicament" he mumbled to himself.
Looking over to his right he noticed a beautiful young girl holding a black purse with a aggravated stance, Devon couldn't help but think why would anyone be down there other then him. Leaning his head forward so that his hood shrouded his face Devon stared at the young women at an angle. She looked like she got lost heading to a beauty pageant but Devon was too conceited to admit she looked better then him.
"Take a picture, it'll last longer" she said, shocked about hearing a noise other then rat squeaks Devon almost lost his balance. Recollecting himself he mumbled "yeah, then I'll have to burn it" he mumbled in a sarcastic tone to the young women. Shaking his head at his comment he decided that company was what he needed at the moment.
"So what are you getting yourself into tonight?" she asked. Surprised about the question he turned directly at the strange women and replied "a train" he said bluntly. Even though he wasn't a good communicator he wanted to open up to the women in a strange way, turning back in her direction he replied "I got to get to a hotel. Why such a lovely girl like you in a place like this?" he asked. "You know there are some evil people out there, and even worse.....mutants. A girl like you can get hurt" he said in a cold tone.

“Hurt, huh?” Shin looked up from the newspaper he’d been reading. His back leaned against the wall in the subway, right next to a poster of the Yellow Peanut M&M. His eyebrow jutted up curiously.
All that day, he’d been traveling around New York searching for the place he’d found in the phone book. It was a small little dojo that trained people in a variety of arts. Their main one was jujitsu, but only half the students there trained in that. The other half trained in Wushu kung-fu. He still remembered the look on the two sides’ faces as they competed for supremacy like rival factions, sparring until the sweat pooled on their backs like Arielle when she lost control of her water form and went splat. He couldn’t help but smile at the comparison.
Stepping away from the wall, he folded the paper under his arm and assessed the situation. The guy talking to Arielle had a bit of a lime Jello air to him… these days, recycling sure was popular. Guess this guy had taken the phrase ‘Go Green’ to heart.
He smiled and extended a hand to the stranger. “My name’s Shin. If you need any help finding a hotel in this city, I’m your man.”

After finishing his sentence to with the young women for a few seconds there was a awkward silence. When the women was about to speak and man suddenly came up beside Devon and extended his hand. It shocked Devon to the point where his hair stood on end. Turning around with a angry expression, Devon was surprised on how the man dressed.
"My name’s Shin. If you need any help finding a hotel in this city, I’m your man." The strange Japanese man said while holding out his hand. Devon looked at the man strangely and shook his hand. "Wow the people in New York sure aren't shy, maybe it would be the death of him" he thought with a grin. Wanted to spawn his Trolls and rip them apart, finding a hotel was the most important at the moment since Devon needed a place to stay. "Alright....I just flew in from Florida and need a quick place to stay, so if you can show me around it would be kind of you" he told the man.
Looking back and the women with the black purse Devon asked "Hey, do you know this guy?"

Just as Arielle was about to reply to this mysterious green haired one, Shin revealed himself and approached the hooded man She was completely caught off guard and felt a bit dumb for not recognizing him before hand. She smirked when the hooded boy asked if she knew him.
"In fact I do. This is..my best friend Shin. We live at the same place," Arielle replied and turned her head a bit trying to peak at the face shrouded by the hood. "It's so nice that your concerned about my safety with all the baddies out here, but trust me, I'm not just pretty, I pack a punch too." she winked. "Anyways..so you're looking for a hotel?" she asked him leaning in closer trying to get a peak at his face.

“Florida, huh?” He turned to grin at Devon. “Best friend, huh?” He turned to smirk at Arielle. “Hotel, huh?” He turned to smirk at… okay, enough of that. Shin slapped a serious look on his face. “Yeah, I’ll show you around town. First things first…” He walked up and tapped Arielle on the shoulder, jerking his thumb towards the subway train rattling past nearby. “Not nice to stare.”
He took a step back, unfolding the paper he’d had in the crook of his arm and skimming it for information. “Ah yes, it says here that there was a murder at the Casablanca hotel, one of New York’s ‘most popular boutique hotels’.” He air-quoted the article. “What a sad song to play, but hey! They have good rooms. Or--” He turned the page, glancing at the next article. “There’s a much cheaper Hotel Newton that’s just a seven-minute subway ride away from Rockafeller Center. That’s nice… what kind of hotel are you looking for… what did you say your name was?” Shin leaned inwards, searching the shadows of his face.
The words ‘hypocrite’ probably floated in the air around that gesture.

"In fact I do. This is..my best friend Shin. We live at the same place," said Arielle as he looked at both of them simultaneously with a grin. "You live together huh, small world" he said while noticing Arielle trying to peak inside his hood. Leaning in the opposite direction in which Arielle was trying to look from, Devon almost forgot Shin was beside him. Nodding his head at Arielle when asking if he was looking for a hotel Shiro came back into the conversation.
Watching Shiro smirk at Arielle and claiming that they're friends reminded Devon a lot about his old friend Jacob who went missing a week before the flight. Devon never had a friend other then him, and he was the only person who saw good in Devon. Coming back to reality Devon noticed the man was still talking.
“Ah yes, it says here that there was a murder at the Casablanca hotel, one of New York’s ‘most popular boutique hotels." As soon as he heard that the hotel had a murder Devon perked his ears up and lifted his eyebrow. "A murder......interesting" Devon thought while licking his lips. "What a sad song to play, but hey! They have good rooms. Or--” He tunned a page and saw nice looking hotel that looked semi comfortable for his class. “There’s a much cheaper Hotel Newton that’s just a seven-minute subway ride away from Rockafeller Center. That’s nice… what kind of hotel are you looking for… what did you say your name was?
"Its Devon...Devon Royals" he told Shiro. Looking back at the map in his hand Devon examined the address while a train was about to approach. "I'll choose the Casablanca hotel" he said in a polite voice. "I'll take the tram to Central and walk there. If you would like to join me your welcome" he said while looking back at both of them. As the train came in front of them the doors slid open revealing empty seats. Stepping inside Devon looked over his shoulder and looked at both of them partially revealing his mutant green eyes.

Arielle couldn't help but smile when the hooded man continued to hide his face and wondered why he was doing so. She shrugged it off and nodded as the man introduced him self as Devon Royals.
"Cute!" she chirped, smiling at the name. "I was dying to get home, but I guess I could spare a moment to help you out, Devon. If I get too sleepy, I'll just make Shin carry me on the way home." she said and followed the boy onto the train. She paused, spotting Devon's green eyes. "Pretty...." she though and continued into the tram to take her seat. No normal human had eyes that shade of green. Being naturally curious she came right out and asked.

Stepping inside the train the young women came from behind and noticed his green eyes. "If she asks me if I'm wearing contacts I'm going to go crazy" he thought before she said anything.
"Your a mutant aren't you?" she asked as Devon stood at the door waiting on Shiro. His mind went blank and he looked at Arielle with a sinister with rage. "If I said I was, then what will your reaction be?" he said while a green gas leaking out of his body. Inside the gas faces of terrible beings started to formate. With the beings formation almost complete Devon stopped himself and the gas dispersed into the air. Looked down while leaning against a pole. "Yeah I'm a mutant" he said in a low tone while regretting losing control. He looked at Shiro threw the window.

Shin nodded as the boy made his selection, then watched the two of them get on the train. He folded his paper in the crook of his arm, sticking his hands in his pockets as he whistled along after them, raising a leg to step in a minute after them. And just in time, too. A green fog drifted around the compartment, causing the people within to recoil a bit. An African woman held her purse close to her chest, not wanting trouble, and a little girl with pigtails hid behind her father. Two punks with Mohawks glanced up from their Goth ‘girl toy’, shooting Devon a dark look. Shin arched an eye quizzically as the green smoke subsided.
Momentary lapse in powers? Shin’s eyes narrowed. Mutant. Hopefully, this guy was the peaceful type rather than the kind that gave others a bad name.
“You never mentioned you could do that…” He trailed slowly, voice guarded to prevent hysteria within the train. “But that just brought up a whole new ‘hotel’ sleeping arrangement. Have I got a deal for you~”

"My reaction wouldn't be anything. No need to get all defensive..." Arielle responded to Devon and noted the green gas and spooky faces forming from them. "There's no need to use you powers, I assuming that gas was a small display of your abilities. I don't wanna have to take you out, so play nice," she smiled raising a hand to Devon and shaking her index finger, pointed and transmute.
“You never mentioned you could do that…” He trailed slowly, voice guarded to prevent hysteria within the train. “But that just brought up a whole new ‘hotel’ sleeping arrangement. Have I got a deal for you~”
Arielle noted Shin's words. They must have been on the same page. "I don't know what you're thinking about Shin, but if you're thinking about inviting him back to the mansion with us, then I would agree." she replied to the Asian and looked back to Devon. "Shin and I don't live by ourselves, but we live with a dozen others. A mansion, basically a place were people like us..." she paused winking to the green haired man, "can go and be safe. It's been my home since I arrived here in the states back on new years eve. Would you be interested in checking it out?" she asked Devon.

"You never mentioned you could do that…" Shin said while inside the train. Devon noticed that the train wasn't moving for some reason and he brushed that off his shoulder because the situation was getting interesting. Smirking at Shins response Devon took off his glasses and hood and revealed his green features. Turning back to Shin then Arielle Devon wanted to see the reaction on their faces. “But that just brought up a whole new ‘hotel’ sleeping arrangement. Have I got a deal for you~” when he said that curiosity consumed Devon as he sat down no the edge of the seat and studied them both.
Tunning back to Arielle Devon rested his head on his hand and crosses his arms. "I don't know what you're thinking about Shin, but if you're thinking about inviting him back to the mansion with us, then I would agree" said Arielle to Shin. "Mansion, what in the world is going on here?" Devon thought as the women spoke again, "Shin and I don't live by ourselves, but we live with a dozen others. A mansion, basically a place were people like us..." she winked at Devon as he lifted his eyebrow. "Can go and be safe. It's been my home since I arrived here in the states back on new years eve. Would you be interested in checking it out?" she asked.
"A place for mutants huh, I never knew these places existed" he said while the doors finally closed. Leaning back on his chair Devon continued 'So its a safe haven for mutants I see, and what exactly do you call yourselves and what exactly do you do?" he asked in a curious tone.

“Call ourselves?” Shin smirked. “We don’t really have a name. Like the lady said, it’s a place for mutants to live in peace. Sort of like a school, except you don’t have to go to classes (unless you’re into that). There aren’t any catches, and it doesn’t cost rent. It really is a sweet deal.”
Shin traipsed over to sit in the seat across from Devon, swinging one leg over the other and resting clasped hands on the knee. “They even have a room you can train your powers in.” He spoke the last line in a whisper. “And the teachers are real supportive.”
He glanced around him at the people, and noted that the train hadn’t moved yet… and had been sitting there for a while now. What was up? Maybe they’d need to take this conversation elsewhere soon.

"What Shin said," Arielle smiled taking a seat next to him. "It's just a really chill place. Everyone is nice and will give you a warm welcome. It's just awesome. And you're more than welcome to check it out. If you don't like it, then you don't have to stay. We don't force anyone against their will."
