The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Skoliro turned and smiled down at the human infirmary, it was time to bust out of this joint. Gracefully he flew down and landed quite softly in the middle of the floor. Smile his wonderful, crooked smile he strode from the room, while the injured stared and tried to stop him. Having no luck the just lay back in there beds, to tired to care anymore. He entered the hallway and looked around, but there was no one in sight, scratching his head he started down the hall, on high alert. Suddenly a group of about ten men jumped out from behind him. Skoliro winced as a sharp pain ran down his wing. Falling to the ground he reached back and felt the sticky substance of his blood.Damn it, he thought, but he wasn't going down that easy. Jumping up with lightning speed he quickly knocked out four of the men, obviously the weak-links of the group. Then two men ran up from behind and tried to slash his head but instead they ran into each other. Skoliro just shook his head, what imbeciles. Another two ran up and preform something close to the same acrobatics, and he couldn't help but let his velvet laugh escape his throat. The more elite where probably all dead bye now, and these where just the left overs. Suddenly the man who had cut his wing ran up and tried to kick him, and succeeded, but the kick was so weak against his toned muscles that he was frozen in place. Skoliro reached out with one icy cold arm and flipped the man to the ground. The last just turned and ran. Again he shook his head, that was too easy, beside from the large gash now oozing blood in his wing he was perfectly alright. He turned and simply strode out of the doors, who had been broken by another mutant earlier...
((ooc-thats what happened...just so you know))
Skoliro strode through the doors and paused taking in what was happening. Suddenly a second pain stretched down his back and he fell to the ground. Glancing up he saw one of the men who he had been fighting with earlier.
Damn it. I thought I taught you a lesson.
Standing up as fast as he could manege with the pain he slowly approached the man. He hissed at the man, bearing his fangs, and the man froze in fear. This one wouldn't get off quite as easy as the last. Then Skoliro stopped, wow, three meals in one day, then shrugged to himself and continued his slow stalk. At least he wouldn't have to feed for a while after this. Suddenly the man made a run for it, but he was too slow. Jumping in the air Skoliro pounced on the man and brought his fangs to his neck. The blood spilled left and right, but it didn't matter he had had enough to not care about details. Soon the man was drained, his skin white and cold to the touch. Skoliro stood and wiped the blood from his face, not that it mattered, his back was covered in his own sticky blood and his front the mans. Slowly he straightened, testing the pain in his back.
"Right." She nodded before her body became visible. There she stood, dried blood from her wound had temporaily stained her head and her old wounds that blood had been pouring out of were now scars. The healing mutant had taken away all of the pain and left her with just the memory and the scarred tissue. However, to one that did not know that she had been healed, the dried blood would have come across as odd and would have made sense that she was hurt, but everyone had their own problems.
Fade turned to the van and opened the door. Her energy was still returning to her, but she had enough to do little things with ease, it was fighting that she knew she couldn't handle, not at this moment. Just before she put her foot in the van, something grabbed her other foot. There, on the ground, was a badly wounded soldier that had fought for the wrong side. Jenny's currently silver eyes glared at him before her foot jerked at his face in a kick. It was not a powerful kick, in fact, it was pathetic, but he caught it right in the nose and let go, grasping his bleeding nose in pain. She turned back to the van and climbed inside before shutting the door and leaning out of the window to make sure the mutants were getting out safely and to the vans without much trouble.
Wire slammed his foot on the gas and raced toward the doors of the facility where all the mutants were pouring out of. "Damn...there are so many!" He was leading the rest of the escape vehicles as they pounded across the grounds. Wire squinted his eyes and made out of the figure of the young man who's mutation had made his outter appearance that of a bat, including the wings. "HOLD ON!!" He slammed on the brakes, spinning the car in a 180. "OPEN THE DOOR!" He yelled to the mutant in the back of the van. "Fade, try and help as many as can fit in the van."
Wire jumped out of the driver's seat and ran to the doors. "OVER HERE! Get inside, quickly!!"
(OOC: jus' a couple of us making our way outta the facility. Namely Tristan, Setsuna, Kaine, and myself)
Raphael watched the soldier go down, then accepted Tristan's hand up and moved along after Kilala as she set the pace. They soon came to another observatory window which elicited what he imagined was almost the same response when she saw him in the room. He pulled his arm from around Tristan's shoulders. "Go help her... I can manage the short walk outside from here. Kaine can't." He forced a smile and then proceeded to make a slow progression after the three of them as they made their way outside.
Raphael exited the building behind Kilala, and Tristan who supported Kaine's unconscious form between them. Raphael pushed the door closed behind him, then made his way slowly towards one of the few remaining vans. He gladly took the offered support from a mutant among the rescue party outside, and let himself fall flat on his back on the floor of the van. He felt tired, drained both mentally and physically, and now that he was in relative safety and among friendly faces, closed his eyes and passed out once more, his body more than needing the rest.
Skoliro didn't even flinch when the van almost hit him. He just stood there, moving nothing; when he wanted to hold still he could better then anyone. Then he slowly strode toward the van, ignoring the extreme pain pulsing up his wings. When he got to an open door he stopped, peering inside. That was one problem with wings, you could never sit down in a normal car seat. Slowly he reached up and moved a strand of blood covered hair. Then he smiled, his fangs obvious in the light of day, and started to laugh. He couldn't help it, he just did. The wonderful sound of his perfect laugh filled the area. He relaxed, and grinned at the man that was in such a rush.
Setsuna watched as Raphael was able to get into one van, separate form herself, Tristan, and Kaine. She was surprised and thankful to see Wire being the driver. "Oh, thank goodness. Please take him..." she said, as they were carrying Kaine along. Her left shoulder was killing her. Having to keep Kaine up was like having a flamethrower aimed at her back. she was in a lot of pain.
Wire looked over the winged young man and noticed he was bleeding. "Get inside. The mutant in there can heal wounds. He should be able to help you." He jogged over to where he saw the man from the church, insistent on gun ammo, and Setsuna holding Kaine in their arms. "Damn...yea, I'll take him." Dominic quickly relieved the attractive Asian woman from carrying Kaine, then realizing she'd been shot in the shoulder. "Come on. Let's get inside. The van in filling up quickly."
Tristan helped Wire lay Kaine down on the floor of the van, carefully moving around the wings of the other mutant and healing mutant who was trying to help him. They now had four in the back and would only be able to take a couple more before having to go. When Kaine was settled down, Dominic jumped back out of the van and searched for Fade who was helping the others.
Skoliro contiued to beem, for no reason, as he jumped into the van. There was a lot going on in the vehical, but it was still very quite. Not much to talk about when your in extreme pain. He left a trail of blood in his wake. Heading toward the healing mutant he winced a little when a sharp pain corsed through his wings.
"What the heck!?" A blank stare was emblazzened upon Geist face. With multiple double-takes aim'd at their assailent, Geist finally slapped himself with gusto waking from his daze. "Well I'll be a spooks uncle. Hmm, but if i didnt do it, then.." He then looked down at the overly exhausted Jaya, catching her small chuckle at the end. Leaving her for a moment he strolled across the room, aprehended the key, and spit on the carcase that lay there. Returning to her side and kneeling down before her, Geist once again lifted Jaya into his arms but this time covering her in his jacket knowing how cold it was most likely going to get. The key balanced in his hand, he opened the exit door freeing Jaya from the horrible nightmares of the facility...
Seconds later Geist could be seen waltzing out the side of the facility, a warmly drapped Jaya in his arms. It seemed as if every step away from the facility brought him strength as he noticed a slight mist kicking up from his feet. Approaching the armored vans he recognized Wire among the flood of mutants attempting to escape. "Hey squad leader, yur still in one piece, ya? Good, this is Jaya and despite her being unconscious she's very delighted to meet you." Poking at his own comment about how he would introduce them later, Geist proceded to enter the van, handing Jaya over as to not to harm her with his cold touch which he had been trying to suppress since he exited the facility.
Wire smirked at Geist as made the quick introduction. He quickly helped the man carrying Jaya, placing her down in the van next to Kaine. "Unfortunately it will be a bit cramped in here. Keep an eye on her, alright?" He said, quickly jumping back out of the van in order to search for Fade. "FADE!! FADE?! WHERE ARE YOU?!" Dominic ran around the van and fought his way between the running escapees trying to find her.
Fade's head snapped around at the sound of her name. She had been grabbed by another soldier a few seconds earlier and had turned invisible in self defense. However, at the mentioning of her name, she turned visible and looked in the direction of the van. "I'm here!" She shouted before rushed over to the van. "Do we have everyone?" She asked, she had felt a little woozy in the head, but she guessed that it was because she was fighting after just being healed. Her currently peach eyes glanced in the van for a second and recognized a familiar face, it was Raph. However, no time for "hi, how are you's", not yet at least.
