The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fade shivered at the feeling of the floor on the armored van. Another van, the last time she was in one, the result was not good at all. A man leaned over her, looking over her scratches, bruises, and gashes. She barely saw a blurry hand extend over her forehead and a greenish glow covering the hand before her eyes rolled back and she began to violently shake. It was odd for even though this calls for a feeling of pain, she felt none, just an odd sensation running up and down her spine to every area of pain. She heard something faint, like a voice, but couldn't make out what it said, who said it, or even if it was in English.
Finally, she stopped shaking and her body fell limp, she couldn't feel anything at all, not the sensation, not the pain, not the cold, just nothing, and for a moment, she couldn't move anything, until she was able to move her pointer finger up. Slowly, her eyes rolled back to their normal position, but she was still having difficulty focusing on what she was looking at, or at least trying to look at. It wasn't so much of a blur anymore, more of two very lightly blurred pieces that did not match up, like her eyes were crossed.
Wire bent over and put his hands on either side of Fade's face, picking her head up slightly. "Fade? How you feeling?" Another explosion made his head snap around as a second grenade launcher full of syringes came flying through the trees. The soldiers were pushing forward and they needed to do something quick.
"LOOK OUT!!" He yelled to the surrounding mutants. The healer mutant dropped and hid under the truck. Without hesitation, Wire put his back to the assault in order to protect Fade who hasn't received the vile Daria had given out. He braced himself for the pain which came hard. Several syringes landed in his back and thighs, one in his neck. "AAaah...son of a..." He stumbled a bit, but was relieved to see none had hit Fade.
Fade just looked up at him, still feeling odd. She could barely make out what he had said, but she got the general idea. Her vision slowly returned to her and she was able to move her hands now. However, just as she was attempting to move her arms, the man that had saved her shouted out, telling people to look out before he turned to her and shielded her, taking some kinds of syrenges in his back and neck. Although the whole thing was still blurry to her, she was able to move her arms and neck. Cautiously, she put her hand where her gash was, it was still bloody but it wasn't bleeding itself, in fact, it felt like a scar instead of an open wound. Also, it did not hurt at all, it was as if she was left with the memory and not the pain. Anything that was cut or bruised was scarred over and her bruises were barely noticable. After the fire was over, she attempted to sit up, but her abodminals hadn't gotten their energy yet, so she attempted to push herself up with the little strength in her arms so that she could see her rescuer clearly as her vision was returning clearly to her.
Wire's vision blurred as he stumbled forward and fell directly on top of Fade who he noticed was now trying to sit up. He tried his best to hold up, but the vile was only to counteract so much of the contents in the syringes that were now making him extremely groggy. Wire reached his hands out on the walls of the van to slow his fall onto the woman, but he wasn't sure if it worked as his eyes closed. In his last thought, he hoped Fade was alright and Daria's serum wouldn't allow him to be out too long.
A Left, then a right, then a left.. Geist thought as he moshed through the legions of guards trying to slow his advance. Two guards inperticular dropped to their knees with grenade launchers propped onto their shoulders and prepared to fire in Geist's direction. "Resistance is stupid, so stop pissing me off!" Geist shouted as he threw his arms forward, blasting a current of air which continued on as it collided with the guards like a breeze. In seconds the mechanisms within grenade launchers froze over ending the use. The guards looked at eachother in shock as they tried to fire their weapons only to stand and run as Geist approached them slowly. "Thats more like it" Geist remarked with a grin.
Geist looked around as the ground layed littered with mutants and guards alike. Just as he started his march up to the facility he heard a voice similar to Wire's telling people to get down. Realizing that the voice was more than just similar Geist reared back just as the volley of syrenges pelted Wire's vicinity. After seeing Wire topple a bit Geist decided he had to make a hard descision. Run from the battlefield and enter the facility to save Jaya, or stay there and help the other mutants fight off the ensueing guard advancement. As if he knew what had to be done he turned and sprinted down to the armored vehicle to help his comrades.
Coming up on a contingent of guards ready to fire on his weakened allies, Geist came in with a jump as he hammered a guard into the ground. Swinging his arms left and right Geist began wearing away at the guards who had pushed forward. Knocking many unconscious and ghosting to avoid oncoming fire Geist picked up the pace, now manning the center of the recovered frontline, shouting to his comrades to raise their ferver. "Come on you evolutionary rejects! Lets give these poor excuses a reason never to mess with us AGAIN!" standing firm as the tide shifted once again. "Dont worry, I'll hold'm back" he shouted towards Wire as he continued his assault.
Fade's eyes widened as she saw him fall on her. She moved her arms up and tried to catch him. However, her strength had not completely returned and her elbows buckled under the sudden weight. As she attempted to get him off of her, her strength continued to regain her strength. After about two minutes, she was finally able to roll over and get him off her. A cough escaped her as she was able to breath clearly again. "Hey, you ok?" She asked as she shook him lightly with her hand. Although she was able to get him off of her, she still did not have all of her energy and it was hard for her to shake him too much.
Wire heard Fade say something to him, but it made no sense to him as he rolled away from her. As he turned to the side, one of the syringes bent in an awkward way, causing him to cry out in pain. He shook his head again to try and focus. "Fade...Fade..." Wire tried to tell her to pull the syringes in his body as the liquid filled his body, but he couldn't get anything out. He turned on his knees and reached behind his head to pull the first syringe out. It hurt like hell, but it needed to be done. "Fade...help....help me with....with this."
Fade rolled over and reached her hand over to him. She saw the first syringe and grabbed it firmly before pulling it out. Her own eyes closed and her teeth clenched, as if it would hurt her too if she pulled the syringe out. After that one was out, she searched for the next one and continued with the same process.
"Hang on, I know it hurts." She gasped as she pulled out another. Were there any that missed him? Then again, he spread out his body to protect her, so it would make sense that he got hit so many times. Fade couldn't imagine the pain from all of those syringes since she couldn't feel anything and also couldn't really remember how terrible she felt, pain felt like nothing and nothing felt like life.
Wire finally ripped out the last syringe and tossed it aside angrily. He stood up and shook his head again of all the contents running through his blood. It was slowly fading away and he was very thankful for that. 'Damn I love you, Daria,' he thought, smiling at Fade, weakly.
He suddenly heard the footsteps of one of the soldiers coming near the vans. They had made it through the mutants and toward their transportation in the wooded area surrounding the base perimeters. Wire grabbed Fade and quickly got into the back of the van. He layed down and peeked under to wave the healing mutant from getting up just yet. Wire put his back to the van's wall when he heard the first soldier come by. Just as the man swivled around with his gun, Dominic released the wires from his fingertips and yanked the weapon away from him.
The two began a fight. Wire took a hard kick in the stomach and keeled over to his knees. The soldier grabbed Wire's shirt and threw him to the ground, pulling a knife from his vest. As the man lunged for Wire, he quickly grabbed the soldier's wrist to fend off the attack. "You...asshole! GET OFF!" The soldier loomed over Dominic as he lay on the ground, the two at a standoff.
Fade looked used all of her strength and sat up. However, no one could see her sit up, because most of her energy was focused on making herself invisible. She looked over at Wire and saw him being attacked. Her feet touched the ground and she hobbled over to a large stick before picking it up, walking over to the men that were fighting with Wire and raised up the stick. Gravity had it's effect, but Fade still used the rest of her energy to hit the man above Wire as hard as she could. The man fell to the ground, grabbing his head. The stick that was hovering over him suddenly disappeared and the man felt blood on his head before Fade took another swig at his face. This time he passed out as blood trickled from his nose.
Her energy was draining quickly but she held up the stick again, ready to the fight the second one. Typically, her only hope was to turn invisible and use the element of surprise, using her agility to aid her, but since she lacked the energy, she could not be agile and she had to rely on her invisibility in order to fight the two men.
Dominic struggled to stand, but knew it was their only chance of getting to safety. "Fade?" She was still invisible and for a good reason because a second soldier was upon them. Wire raised his arms in defeat as the soldier pointed his gun at him.
"DON'T MOVE!!" the man yelled out, keeping his automatic trained on Dominic. "How many more are here?!" Wire kept his mouth closed and hoped Fade could surprise the solider like the first one that remained unconscious on the ground. "I said, HOW MANY?!"
Wire spit at the soldier in response, causing the man to come for him. Pressing his fingertips together and pulling them apart, Dominic prepared for the battle as the wires appeared. But just as the soldier was about to hit him, the mutant from under the truck came from out of nowhere, taking the man's leg. The solider tripped and fell to the ground in surprise and Wire quickly grabbed the rifle away from him. "Fade? You still here?!"

(OOC: Ok members, we are wrapping this up now. Time to get those hostages outta here!! Everyone will be piling into the trucks and helicopters to leave the facility.)
Having been distracted from the van by his push through the last battlefield contingent of guards, Geist now stood amongst the unconsious bodies that lay about, attention drawn to the facility. He couldnt explain it but it was as if a beacon had gone off. He felt an energy source twinkle within the walls of the facility that called to him. A yellow brick road leading to the emerald city.. "Jaya?.... Jaya.. im coming. Im coming to save you, just hold on a bit longer mein frau.." Reaching into his coat pocket he withdrew Jaya's blue kerchief, wrapping it around his fist as he marched up to the facilities outter defenses. Coming up to a barb-wire fense he casusally ghosted through just as guards on the roof spotted him. The guards, open mouthed with stares at the spectral site, open fired upon Geist but with no affect. Seconds later a group of guards rushed out from the other side of the building, guns blazing. Geist was irritated, tired, and on a mission which was NOT going to be detoured. Concentrating hard he settled a sufficating mist upon the guards, their bodies dropping to the ground as he walked right past them and straight through the facility wall.. silent as night
Fade dropped her weapon, seeing as the man was unarmed and on the ground. She looked up, still invisible, she didn't feel as though it was safe, not just yet. "Yeah, I'm still here. Any other threats?" Even though she had dropped her 'weapon', it stayed close by so that if something else were to occur, she would be prepared.
"Shouldn't the others be out by now?" She asked, looking back at the building, at Wire, then at the unarmed soldier on the ground. Then again, she came in late in the game and had no idea how long the team that was in there had been inside, she didn't even know if there was a team in there, she just knew that there were mutants out here fighting for those that were captured.
Wire shrugged in the direction of Fade's voice. "I'm not sure. I've seen Daria come back and forth a few times, but I haven't seen the other X-men though." Suddenly, the back doors of the facility opened and mutants began pouring out. He turned toward the other mutants who were still on the grounds and waved them into the vans to move toward the escapees. "Come on, Fade. We need to move..." He looked down at the mutant under the van and helped him to his feet. "Let's go, friend," Dominic said and helped the man into the back of the van, nodding for Fade to get into the passenger seat as he went for the driver's side.
