The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Eleki woke slowly. She had always had an issue with sedatives and the like. She'd been to the hospital once and they'd gotten worried that she might go into a coma because she wasn't waking up from the medicine they'd given to knock her out. She felt grogy now, disoriented, and, blind. She realized with a start that the limited abilities she'd had to "see" before, were now gone. She was completely in the dark again. She got up from where she was, wide awake now, she felt around, trying to figure out where she was. She felt a cot, three walls, metal bars, open space. "Hello! Hello! Is anybody there?" she called out, her roughly accented voice echoing in the unseen beyond.
“Name your price Dr. Fusionist,” Padwell said, and then nodded to the amount quoted on the other end of the phone. “Sure. Gonna arrange a transport to move him in a couple days.”
He hung up the phone with Fusionist and immediately began punching another number. He held the piece to his ear for a few moments before speaking into it. “Dr. Grauss, I need the use of your assistant Dr. Voyant. I’ll need the use of her behavioral conditioning.”
A smile crept across Padwell’s face as he listened to the voice on the phone. He nodded to himself and spoke into the phone. “How long before you can get here Clair?”
Half a day later Pad well stood in the observatory room watching one of his subordinates work on Raphael. Beside him stood a shapely young woman with her arms folded as she gazed down on the mutant on the display table. “You’ll want to finish your work on him before I start on him. Sure, he can take the physical abuse you put him through all day long for who knows how long. But I have my doubts he could take alternating forms of punishment. You’ve seen me work before, and know it’s not easy, or lax.”
“I understand Clair,” Padwell replied, casting a glance towards her. “Already told them to use the fastest bonding techniques we have found.” He fixed his gaze on her once more. “Think you might be able to determine what his other mutation, or mutations might be?”
“No,” Voyant replied without taking her eyes off of the surgery being performed on the barely conscious Raphael. “I can’t. You put too much faith in my abilities. I can help with an accelerated behavioral modification program, but nothing more.”
“Sure Clair,” Padwell said, and then turned away from the observation window. He knew that his subordinates were competent in at least this portion of the work. “Just get on it soon as possible… start with safe words. He’ll be much more dangerous with adamantium coating his entire skeleton, including those bone blades of his. Would hate for him to escape not have any way to stop him.”
“Yeah, sure.” Voyant muttered. “And it’s Doctor Voyant, Dr. Padwell. I’m not sleeping with you any more. Any particular word or phrase you’d like this safe word to be?”
“Chwee Ni Duh,” Padwell answered, stopping at the door. “It should be fitting for putting someone out.”
“A Chinese phrase, eh? Mandarin?” Voyant responded, watching him walk out. She turned back to look in on the group of scientists working on Raphael’s right elbow blade, being extra careful not to cut themselves, or accidentally dull the blade’s natural edge. But rather enhance it.
Raphael was nervous. He would not admit aloud to anyone, but the fact he had not had someone cutting on him, bonding adamantium to him, or carefully installing an adamantium plate over his heart just over his rib cage, for some time worried him. He actually winced when the solitude that worried him so was broken as a shapely woman entered the room followed by an orderly carrying a sort of torture helmet complete with needles all pointed inward.
“Good morning Raphael,” the woman spoke in a quiet almost comforting tone to him. “Dr. Padwell has finished his work on you. And he has requested my aid in the next round of experiments.” She offered a pretty smile towards him. A smile he didn’t return. She glanced at the orderly who had carried in another piece of equipment in and was connecting it to the helmet. It looked like a typical computer, complete with monitor and keyboard.
“I work with telepathy Raphael. Or rather, work on telepaths,” She continued, taking a seat by the computer portion of the equipment the orderly had brought into the room. “While we haven’t been able to replicate the ability in humans without the X-gene, what we have been able to do is replicate something similar to the impressioning that a strong telepath can do, albeit ours is usually buried in the subconscious, and won’t manifest the same way… And more resembles behavioral conditioning on steroids.” She smiled at him again; the benevolent type of smile that a mother might give a disobedient child. “And given you’re not prone to volunteering it would seem…”
”Go screw yourself,” Raphael spat towards her, then lifted his heavy head and did so on a more literal sense. “I told Pawell I wasn’t interested in any program you f***s could offer no matter how beneficial it might be.” He hurt, and the long bit of angry fussing at her had tired him to an extent. He started taking deep breaths, forcing his heavy chest up. “Don’t… want any…. More of your…. ‘help’…”
“You don’t quite get it. Well I suppose Dr. Padwell was over exaggerating your cognitive skills,” she responded without looking away from the screen. “This was not an offer, and your cooperation is not required. Now, don’t go off trying to struggle, you’ll just strain a muscle. You’ll need to get used to the added weight of the adamantium in your body.” She sounded for a moment as though she cared for his well being. “Now, shall we get started?” She smiled that motherly smile again and rose from her seat as Raphael struggled despite her recommendation as she planted the helmet on his head and strapped it into place.
“Relax, this’ll go faster that way,” she stated, then started punching keys on the keyboard and was shortly after that speaking calmly and steadily into a microphone as Raphael quickly lapsed into a quasi-conscious state.
Skoliro looked back down at the ground. He wondered what they could possibly want with him, his powers were useless to the human. At least as far as he could tell.
What are you going to do with me?
Well, the project I want to use you for is top secret and even if I did tell you, my dear Dusty, you couldn't stop me. You don't mind me calling you that, do you? Or would you rather me call you Dustin... or Mr. Meli perhaps.
Suddenly Skoliro's eyes shot up at the name. He stood and stared; he hadn't heard that name in years.
What did you call me?
Dustin Meli, of course, that is your name.At least according to your birth certificate.
Skoliro looked back at the ground and turned away.
Thats not my name any more.
Well then, what is your name?
Like I'm going to tell you!
No matter, thats what I'm going to call you. Dusty.
Skoliro clenched at his neck searching for his locket.Shockingly he found it wasn't there.running over to the man he lifted him off his feet by his shirt.
Where!?! WHERE MY LOCKET!?!
Now now son, no need to fuss. I'm sure your locket is safe.
Skoliro threw him to the ground, the out burst had drained his energy, and he needed sleep. But he would not rest till he had his locket.
Padwell watched Voyant work from the observation room. She was about as ruthless in the mental department as he had been with the physical work he had done on Raphael.
“He’s going to make such a nice candidate for Project 3124 Alpha,” He mused to himself, then turned around to an aid that had come up beside him.
“Your transport is waiting Dr. Padwell,” the younger man said.
Padwell smiled and nodded at him. “Good, good… and in a couple days Mr. Sevresch will be joining us.” He turned around and peered through the observatory window at the slightly convulsing Raphael and the doctor working on him. He did regret ever breaking things off with her, but… that was in the past. The future, likely his future career rested on that table down there, under the careful guidance of his former lover. He knew she would take good care of Raphael, but something yet twisted in his gut, something that wanted him not to leave.
He brushed it aside then turned away from the window and left the room. In a few minutes he had left the facility entirely, on his way to his own privately funded laboratory where he would prepare for Raphael’s arrival, and further experimentation.

The x-copter had no problem landing on the roof of the facility, among the shots and attacks that were launched. Fusionist's soldiers quickly bombarded the copter but found that no one was in it. Daria had teleported herself, Emmy, Linda Desiree, Kaine, Tristan and Setsuna into the facility in a back hallway she and Mike had discovered when they had first tried to escape.
"Everyone be careful." she warned. "The walls in some areas are charged with electrical power, there are guard robots, and everyone is carrying powerful tranquilizers but the viles I handed out before at the church will portect you if you get injected." she bit her lip as she peered around the corner.
"We're going to split up. We're at the central point and in all directions are cells and cages and rooms. We have to go and free as many trapped mutants as possible, and when you free them give them this to drink." She handed everyone a small case of viles filled with the antidote. "It should immediately negate the effects of the drugs. If for somereason it doesn't work, tell me and we will get the mutant back to the mansion as fast as possible.
"It could very well be a life and death situation. You each have several disposible needles, if the mutant is asleep or unconcious inject the antidote into them. If there are no questions, move out." she said waiting for them all to disperse before she herself went to find Mike. She was already twitching her nose to pick up his scent.

Kaine grabbed the bag off of Daria saying a quite thanks and running north.
As he turned a right hand corner Kaine reached into the back of his combats pulling out his old revolver checking the number of rounds before proceeding slowly gun in hand.
Kaine heard foot steps moving along the corridor and quickly disappeared into the shadows leaving only the silhouette of a human on the wall in the faintest shadow as he looked on from the shadow realm. He saw the soldier walking along it was hard to tell what color he was wearing due to the shadow realm it showed every thing as its shadow so locating people could be awkward unless you had got used to.
As the man walked past Kaine he sprung from the shadow grabbing the mans neck firmly and twisting it as he heard the crack Kaine thought of when he was taught to do this so many years ago.
Concentrating Kaine dragged the man through the solid wall and into the shadow realm and began to strip the man.
After several minutes Kaine had managed to switch there clothes completely replacing his combats and t shirt with the mans Pink uniform.
Atticus had made sure he had stuffed as many of the vials and syringes into his pockets as possible before beginning to step out of the wall.
Atticus stepped out of the wall tightening his new belt which held what looked like a tranquilizer pistol and a set of handcuff and a very basic set of keys.Placing the beret on his head Kaine continued heading north hoping he would soon hit a cell block and that these keys were enough.
Emerald took the pack from Daria and gave her a small smile. "Good luck...big sister." Emerald told her placing the bag in her mouth, turning into her wolf form.
She sniffed the ground for a moment before she caught Ruby's distnctive scent in her sensitive nostrils. Emmy turned quickly to the left, the place she found the scent, and began to dash down the hallway. She saw a soldier comming around the corner she was about to round off, the wolf girl darted into the nearest door she saw and waited for him to leave turning into human form.
However Emerald was not gonna leave the room anytime soon. She was hidden behind a hospital cart as she looked around the room she found that she couldnt believe her eyes.In the middle of the room kneeled Ruby upon a pedestal, arms chained above her with tubes comming from her back. She was crying but did make a sound because Ruby knew the punishment for screaming.
Jamal was tethered to the wall nearby, watching in horror as Electricity was forcably drawn from his girlfriend. He struggled against the bonds with vigorus fury when he saw Ruby clench her fists in a silent cry.
Emerald's eyes narrowed in pure undenyable anger, every part of her body was screaming one thing.
Kill.
Emerald opened the case and rolled a vile towards Jamal's foot. the boy looked at it and managed to pick it up with his toes, pouring the anitidote into his mouth waiting for it to work into his system. He made eye contact with Emerald for a moment before smirking.
Emerald returned the glance before her eyes landed on the man that was incharge of it all. He was the same man who wanted to watch her breed with Bloodfang....oh she was gonna kill him dead.
The wolf girl shoved the hospital cart towards the man in the black labcoat causing him to topple over it also hit the button, making the torcher stop. Before Dr could react Emerald was on him, she lifted the man up by his throat, making him squirm without avail.
"Hello DR Roger remember me?" Emerald asked, tolting her head to the side.
The man was about to say something when Emmy put a free finger to his lips. She smiled at him before he let out a small chocked cry. Slowly, the liquds within his body started to drain.
The human body is 98 precent water so as Emmy drained the life giving liqud out of this man a small ball of water formed behind her. Rogers face caved in then his arms and legs began to look like emanciated sticks.
When the deed was done Emerald dropped the now emanciated, rasin looking man to the floor. As soo as Dr Roger hit the floor he crumbled into dust.
Emerald looked around for Ruby and Jamal before seeing a sight she was glad to see.
Jamal was giving Ruby the anitidote, Ruby cradled lightly in his arms. She let out a small whine when Jamal shifted his hannd from under her and the boy kissed her forehead apologetically.
Em walked over to the two, stroking Rubys hair lightly. "Keep her safe and get out of here" She ordered before running out to find more mutants.
((OOC; Wow. I am a bit behind so this post is gunna catch me up. Midterms suck just so every knows and i will be in and out alot this week. I will try to keep my RP up to date tho.))
Tristan smirked unconsciously as he boarded the x-copter and was handed six extra clips of ammunition for his guns. He nodded his thanks to the soldier who immediately turned his attention back to assisting the pilot in flying the copter. He quickly checked the clips, noting that they were loaded with the same rounds rounds as his own. 'Good to know I am not the only person in the world that likes these bullets,' he thought to himself as he slipped the clips into the remain places on his belt.
The flight wasn't long but the last bit was hectic, as bullets whizzed past the coptor on all sides. Just as Tristan was about to jump out and make a dash for the door he felt someone grab him. They were suddenly inside the building. 'Someone here is a 'porter. Cool' He listened intently to Daria as she described the situation, grimacing as she mentioned that some of the walls were charged with electricity. 'That's not going to be fun running through one of those sections.' Tristan took the small pack Daria handed out to all of them and tucked it into one of the inner pockets of his jacket. When Daria finished Tristan watched as both Kaine and Emerald set off without much hesitation. Tristan turned and found a hallway that looked promising and he set off down it at a brisk jog.
A little way down he eased first one and then both pistols out of there holsters and began to creep down the hallway. He heard talking up ahead but it was getting fainter, as if moving away from him. As the talking finally faded out a buzz began to fill its place. Tristan looked stopped and looked around for a moment, trying to place its origin when he realized that blue arcs were streaming up and down the walls on either side of him. As he attempted to run to the end of the hall and out of the lightning trap, the blue arcs reached out to him, sending electricity coursing through his body, causing him to drop his guns. The pain was so excruciating that he couldn't even scream. After a few seconds the walls turned off and Tristan crumpled to the floor, his body still twitching from the energy that had just been run through him. He gulped in a shaky breath and then concentrated momentarily. His eyes began to glow gold as he turned his power inward, patching up his own body so that it was good enough to move.
As he stood up, still smoking from the electricity, Tristan heard the hum of electricity begin to build again and he took off at a run, grabbing his guns as he passed them. He made it to the end of the hall and around the corner just as the electricity reached full power.
"The sensors show that something just got caught in the electric field up here," said a male voice from the other side of the electric hallway. "Shut this thing down and lets go find it."
"Great. Just great," Tristan said as he shivered a little from the excess voltage that had just flowed through him. He flicked the safeties off on both guns and stepped around the corner as he heard the click of a button being pressed, presumably turning off the electric fields. "I think you are looking for me," he said as he stepped into view of the two men.
Without hesitation the two men brought up what appeared to be tranquilizer guns and opened fire. Tristan managed to duck the first two shots but as he brought his own guns up to return fire a dart hit him square in the chest. For a minute, he feared that the antidote wasn't working as he world went sluggish for a moment but the feeling passed and he squeezed off two rounds from both guns, sending one guard spinning as the bullets entered his left shoulder and the other guard to the ground as the bullets pierced his right leg just below and above the knee. Tristan ran over to the guards and instead of killing them outright, he knocked them both unconscious and then searched them for anything valuable. Both men were wearing pink uniforms and neither carried much else besides the tranq guns and a simple ring of keys. Tristan pocketed one set of keys and then turned to his own body once more. Pulling the cart out of his chest and using his power to close the wound. He set off down the hallway again, turning left at the corner he had made it to last time and moved slowly down this new hallway, ever wary of the electric walls and hoping to find someone soon.
Kilala took the viles from Daria and separated from the group into a different hallway. She carefully came to a new hallway as the one she was in ended. Kilala put her back against the wall and heard the sound of a robot that was presumably moving on its programmed course. She took her katana from her back and waited as the robot came closer to where she stood. Just as the robot came into view, Kilala swung her sword forward, hitting its chest and disabling the unit. Sparks shot out, but the robot quickly died down and Kilala moved forward again.
As she turned another corner, Kilala saw Tristan turning the adjacent corner at the end of the very long hallway. She nodded toward him. 'Guess he hasn't found anyone yet either. Are his clothes burnt?,' she thought, walking closer to him.
"Hey," she began whispering softly. "I saw another hallway back this way." Kilala nodded toward where she had come from. "Shall we?"

Daria saw that no one had any questions so she took her own case and strapped it to her waist. She didn't take of down the hall but through an air vent. She was using a hand held PC to navigate the air vent systems until she found Mike's scent. The vents were grimey and greasy, the dust clumped together and smeared across Daria's face and hands but she pulled through. Soon she saw a ray of light streaming in up ahead and smelled Mike's scent.
She turned the corner to see Mike stretched on a table and a crowd of scientists hovering over him. They were putting annodes to his head and hooking them up to a machine to monitor his brain waves, or so it looked. But when they turned it on it showed him as a little boy, his brother, his sister and...
"Those are his memories." Mike knew alot of people's thoughts and emotions, especially at the mansion-one of the places with the highest concentration of mutants. They were trying to rob his memory and get information. The worst part was that he was badly beaten and bruised-they hadn't nursed his wounds since she'd left him. She angrily kicked open the vent and sent the cover sailing across the room. The guards aimed and fired but missed her as she gracefully went sailing from the vent and towards the ground. When the smoke cleared she wasn't there anymore and the guards looked franitcally around for their missing target. She was right over head and came down hands first, digging her claws easily into their skulls as if they were made of putty. The crumpled to the floor while the Scientists scrambled to put themselves between Mike and Daria.
Daria wasn't having that though and lunged forward to attack the nearest scientist. Her claws and Tae Kwon Do skills had them flying everywhihch way before the floor was littered with mangled bodies. Daria rushed to Mike's bedside and injected him.
"Come on sweety, wake up. Please wake up for me..." she whimpered. He was breathing but it was shallow. She licked his wounds and tried her best to wake him up but it wasn't working. The color returned to his face, though as the drug took hold and his breathing improved. But he still was unconcious. Daria was worried but knew this was the best she could do. She sighed and teleported Mike to a van wherein the Do prof waited to heal the captives in need.
Skoliro heard a sudden thud on the roof. The room turned to total chaos, but he continued to to torture the man. Bending he pushed a few pressure point, paralyzing the man.
Where's my locket?
I told you its safe, out with your other possessions!
Skoliro crouched, snarling, bearing his fangs to the man. But he looked past him to the door.
Paul! I thought this one was a peaceful vegetarian!
He usually is!
Skoliro turned, knocking over 'Paul'. He went down easy.Grabbing Roberts face he looked him in the eye.
Get me my locket.
His intimidating tone sent a shiver through the man.
Or what?
You know, I'm not just half fruit bat...
He eyes twinkled at this, it was true, he was very complex. Expressly his digestive system.He continued;
and I am very thirsty, since my last meal was drugged.
Robert flinched at the thought, then he called to a man outside the glass.
Don't just stand there, you imbecile, get this thing his locket.
That was were Skoliro drew the line. With lightning speed he clenched his fangs onto the mans throat and drank. He stopped before the man had lost to much blood to survive, really not in the mood to kill. Then he collapsed, finally realizing how drained he was himself.Luckily he was still consciouses as some others ran in and picked up the men, rushing them some where safe. They but shackles on his feet and cuffs on his hand, then left. He sat up, hoping some one would come.Maybe even a mutant.
Setsuna stepped in front of Tristan with her sword drawn, prepared to attack one of the uniformed men coming down the hall. When she heard the familiar voice of Kaine, she relaxed her stance. "That could've ended badly...Come on, let's go."
She noticed the expression on Kaine's face changed and realized it was the sound of footsteps on the move. 'Maybe their running outside to stop the distraction team. But, hey, that's the plan,' she thought, motioning for them to move away from the oncoming threat. After turning another corner, they had finally began to come upon some rooms. Kilala peeked into the circular window of one of the doors and saw a mutant chained. She placed her hand on the doorknob and turned, but it was locked.
"Dammit!" She turned did a roundhouse, knocking the door open. Kilala went into the room and looked over the mutant. 'I know him...from the mansion? Not like he can be mistaken for someone else. Most mutants don't have bat wings.' "Are you alright?" She looked at the cuffs and then around the room for keys, but saw none. "Guys, help me find the keys."
