The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

It was so cold and chilly, as the wind blew over her face. It seemed like a day ago she had woken up from her coma and had missed out on so much at the same time. She had enjoyed the sleep and probably wouldn't be able to go to bed at night but hey, it's life. Deja had gone to the kitchen and poured herself and someone else some hot cocoa just incase and brought a pack of marshmallows with her outside. Sitting on the steps and just looking at the stars outside made her realize how lucky she was. She didn't have to worry about not having a home. She knew that at anytime she could walk back inside and just be able to go to sleep. Some people out there couldn't go back inside or have people who can supply for them. That was what she was so thankful for in reality.
One thing that she had stuck in her mind was when she kissed Sam. Though it was a dream she couldn't believe that happened. Sam was a god friend and that was all. That's how she saw him and that was how it would stay. Rubbing her two hands together she tried to cause friction. Holding unto the cup she took a sip and it warmed up her entire body. The door soon opened and she smiled at the person giving them a nod.

Streak was making this rounds for the night. It didn't take long, of course it never did, but he liked the solitude and sereneness of the mansion. As usual it was fairly quiet, aside from the young nocturnal mutants that ran around. After making his rounds he found that the mansino was secure. It was now time to survey the outside. Shawn found it easier to over look the grounds from the roof; however, he was in no hurry so he decided to walk around the rest of the grounds slowly taking in the beautiful night.
Shawn walked out the door and noticed a woman sitting on the steps to the mansion grounds. "Hey there." He said returning the smile to the woman. "I haven't seen you around here...Have I?" Shawn continued thinking of everyone he'd met, which as it turned out was quite a few people. He'd only seen this woman once before in his first X-Men meeting. "How're ya doin'?" he asked sitting down next to her on the mansion's front steps. It wasn't often that people came to sit outside in the cold nights.
Out of all the people living in the big mansion it happened to be someone she had never really spoken too? Though that was a good thing right! Meeting new people, starting new friendships was just something she had to do. As he sat down he started to speak more and start conversation. She could do this, it wasn't so hard. Taking a deep breathe she answered his question. '' I'm doing--fine. Life has just been so bizarre. I'm still trying to adapt to everything..you know.''
Deja soon pulled a strand of her hair behind her ear as she forgot to do something. Her hand suddenly touched the mug as she passed it to a guy she didn't know his name. ''Here..happy holidays!'' Deja took another sip of her cocoa as she continued the conversation. ''I'm Deja, by the way.'' Deja noticed something about him..he had great eyes.

"Ya I know what ya mean." Shawn said to her. "Life can get pretty chaotic sometimes." Streak looked down at her mug as she passed it to him. He took the mug. It seemed like an odd gesture since they didn't really know each other hardly at all. "Uhm. Thanks." Wondering if she would mind him having a drink, he took a cautious sip.
After removing the mug from his lips he said, "I'm Streak. So. Where have you been? I remember you from one of the X-Men meetings but why haven't I seen you around lately?" He asked her. He didn't mean to be accusatory but he was just curious.
"I'm Streak. So. Where have you been? I remember you from one of the X-Men meetings but why haven't I seen you around lately?"
Deja knew that this was going to occur eventually so she might as well speak about what happened. To be honest..she didn't think anyone really noticed but maybe otherwise. "If you really want to know...I was in a coma and I just recently woke up yesterday."
Deja soon moved her face up to the sky as she looked at the million of stars. They were so aligned and just perfect. The wind really started to kick in but she needed to be outside for once. "I'm just happy to be up.''

"If you really want to know...I was in a coma and I just recently woke up yesterday."
"Oh, I'm sorry to hear that." that was an unexpected turn of events for this eventing. He expected something like 'I was out of town' or 'I was visiting family' or something along those lines.
Oddly enough the wind had picked up making the night air even cooler. He didn't mind because his powers would be keeping him warm later on once he continued to make his rounds. Streak smiled "Well what better time to be awake than during the Christmas season?" He realized that this probably wasn't every ones most favorite time of year, but it was his, especially the snow. He took another sip of the cocoa. It was still warm but cooling off fast in the cool night air. "I'm sure I'm not the only one to say, welcome back to the land of the living." he said continuing to smile.
"Well what better time to be awake than during the Christmas season?"
It was good being awake during December. It had that special place in her heart. The Christmas season just seemed to make everyone forget about their worries and just love one another. It seemed to be a low crime rate in New York, people were actually going shopping without squashing each other and friends were being made everywhere. "I'm sure I'm not the only one to say, welcome back to the land of the living."
Deja gave him a smile as she moved her hand slowly to the ground, feeling the white, cold delicate snow on the ground. "Thanks, it's good to be back. So...I'm guessing your a mutant?" What a stupid question, Deja thought. Why would someone be staying in the mansion if they didn't have abilities.

"Thanks, it's good to be back. So...I'm guessing your a mutant?"
Well isn't that obvious from my eyes and my name. he thought after she'd asked the question. Then again she did just get out of a coma so she still may be a little slow until her body gets back to normal. Streak thought up the excuse for her. "Ya. I'm a mutant. I manipulate the silver in my body to do pretty much whatever I want it to do." He told her explaining his powers. It seemed like he did that quite a bit these days.
He watched her touch the snow on the ground in front of them. He held the mug back to her and said, "Here you probably want the rest of this." After a slight pause he said, "What's your mutation?"
Deja had gone through this before and it never seemed to get old when people asked her this. Her mutation unlike others around her wasn't very obvious and she could fit in with everyday people. Holding unto the cup she took a small sip before putting it down on the step. "I'm a dream manipulator. I can bring my dreams into reality while I'm sleeping as well as mess with others people dreams when they're sleep.'' Deja soon glanced at the ground before facing Streak. "This might sound odd but what was your first day to the mansion like?'' Deja didn't really talk to many people in the mansion and she really hoped she wasn't boring him.

"I'm a dream manipulator. I can bring my dreams into reality while I'm sleeping as well as mess with others people dreams when they're sleep.'' "This might sound odd but what was your first day to the mansion like?''
Her powers sounded very complex but once they were under control they could be fun. He thought about his first day at the mansion. It seemed like such a long time ago that he'd arrived. So much had happened since he had arrived. There was the Haywire virus, and then the raid on the mansion to abduct everyone and take them to the camps. He watched her set the cup down on the step before he answered her question.
"Well...It was a pretty laid back day. Sometime in the spring, or maybe it was the summer. Anyways, it was sunny day. Tricity was the first person I met when I showed up along with some guy who showed up the same time as me. I don't remember his name but I don't think he lives here anymore. It was pretty simple ya know I took a tour and was given a room." He finally said to her. It was a weird question but he didn't mind. Sometimes small talk was the best way to get to know someone. "What happened to put you in the comma?" Streak hoped he wasn't prying into the subject to much with this question.
How do you answer a question when you don't even know the answer to it. The mind is very complicated, so maybe her thoughts were getting the best of her and one day while she slept she never woke up? Deja just stared at him as she was lost in thought. Deja had a god feeling it wouldn't be occurring again and that was the great thing. Pulling her blonde hair back she spoke. "I don't really know why. I just know I never want to experience that again. It sucks waking up and not having a clue of whats happening. It's like I was trapped with no way to get out."
Deja hoped that answered the question as she looked at Streak with a smile.

"Been there, didn't like it so much. Well maybe not in the same sense but pretty close." Streak said to her a little sadly. Of course he wasn't in a comma but he was locked up in the camps where he was trapped with no way out. "How long were you in the comma? If you don't mind talking about it." he said to her. Shawn realized that he was asking some personal questions and that she might not want to answer right away.
"How long were you in the comma? If you don't mind talking about it."
He seemed so nervous asking her and it took her awhile to even manage to answer the question. After a moment of silence she answered the question. "Hard to tell, but I heard it was about two months but it felt way longer. To me it felt like it had been forever before I finally opened my eyes.'' Deja soon had flashes of being in that endless world of torment and pain. The images were something she wouldn't ever want anyone to know of and she still couldn't shake it off.
"Do you want to walk with me to get something to eat? I mean, it's not that far of a walk. You don't have to go if you don't want, it's okay?''
Deja was rambling and she felt really embarrassed as she showed red cheeks. It had been such a long time since she was able to just talk and hung with someone. It was that and she was really craving some food.

There was a long silence before Deja answered. Streak thought that perhaps he'd gone to far with that question. Hard to tell, but I heard it was about two months but it felt way longer. To me it felt like it had been forever before I finally opened my eyes.''
"I can see that." he said to her. It only made sense that someone in a comma would feel like they were in it a lot longer or a lot shorter than they actually were in one. He wasn't sure what, if anything, she had planned. Deja suddenly caught Shawn off guard with her next question.
"Do you want to walk with me to get something to eat? I mean, it's not that far of a walk. You don't have to go if you don't want, it's okay?''
"Uh. Sure. I'd imagine you're pretty hungry after being asleep for two months or so. I've got time to kill. I'm just makin' my rounds on the mansion before heading back up to my normal viewing spot on top of the building." Streak said to her standing up.
