The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Punching the giant wolf was a big mistake on his part. The beast caught Streak's punch in her fist and threw him away from her. The bladed silver man slid along the ground on his back, his blades making deep lines in the grass. "Crap." he said as he came to a stop. He'd dropped his sword again. Now there were two of his silver swords laying on the ground unattended by their owner. He quickly got up and was about to retrieve them when he thought the beast was going to come after him again. Fortunately she dropped to the ground. She was weak from the wounds she'd sustained and that he was thankful for.
Streak watched her intently as she collapsed and started shrinking and shedding when until she returned to her human form. She was still bleeding pretty badly and Streak continued to watch her. She's naked. Awkward. he thought as he looked away from her. The silver man then walked around and collected his swords that were lying on the ground. He retracted his swords into his silvery skin and rubbed the back of his neck. In doing this he noticed the blades on his opposite arm. Streak then reached back and felt the blades protruding from his back. Interesting. he thought before examining his arm blades closer. "Now how do I get rid of these so I don't cause her any more injuries while I take her to the infirmary?" He said out loud to himself. He concentrated and after about a minute was able to retract the blades on his arms. It didn't hurt to retract them but it was harder to do than to cover himself in silver or not.
Slowly walking over to the injured young girl he made sure she wasn't going to lash out at him again. Once he was sure she wasn't he gently picked her up and carried her into the mansion. Making sure that there was no one that would see him carrying a naked woman , he took her to the infirmary to get taken care of by the Doc Prof. After waking the grumpy doctor, he proceeded to tell him the story of what happened. Streak had already laid her on the one of the beds and covered her up with one of the sheets. "I'll stay with her the rest of the night do, once you take care of her that is." He said to the doctor. DocProf immediately started to dress and take care of her wounds. both Streak and DocProf talked for a while after he was done taking care of her wounds before he went back to his bed to sleep the remainder of the night away. Streak sat down by the wolf lady's side as she slept.
Awakening in a bit of a shcok she shot up and looked around she had not liked where she was her minds quickly flashed back to what events of the night she could remember. The full moon was an evil force in her mind and taunted her. But what truely dissturbed her was the man standing next to her she remembered bits and pieces but still enough to know that he had had been the one to fight her and one color came to her mind silver. She had had a slight aversion to silver for years and a man made out of it was far more then she could handle at the momment. In a room she did not recognise and with the moon still in a high phase she could not force her self to be completely human. this would in turn make it slightly harder to talk to her.
Jumping from her bed and on to the floor she posioned herself on all fours simimlar to the way she had been fighting the night before. Instincts still kicking in she growled in a low guteral beastly tone to le him know she was un happy with him."You tried to kill me...last night..." she siad as she pace a bit. her mind was racing what had really happened who was the silver man where was she why was she in theses clothes she could not makes sense of any thing. Disorentation was thick in her mind it blanketed her thoughts and made it difficult to focus on any thing but the sliver man and what he had done according to her shattered veiw of last night.

Streak sat next to the young woman's bed when she woke up. She didn't seem to happy to be in the infirmary or to see him right next to her. She jumped out of bed and started growling and acting very violent towards Streak. Apparently she remembered some things about what happened. However, it didn't seem like she remembered any of the good things. Only the bad things. Perhaps she didn't like the silver in him, or perhaps it was that she thought that he was going to hurt her again. The latter wasn't the case but there was no way for him to know that.
"You tried to kill me...last night..."
Shawn sat very still as she paced back and forth. "I didn't try to kill you. I was protecting the mansion. My home. And if I'd wanted to kill you I could have." He said to her rather calmly. There was no reason for him to act rashly with her. It might set her off again. The problem with that would be that she would be tearing the mansion up from the inside and still, that was something he didn't want to do. "just calm down so we can talk about this." Streak said to the wolf girl. He wasn't going to do anything to her. IN fact he wasn't even making a move to closer to her. Streak didn't even get out of the chair when he talked to her because he didn't want to fight her again in her current state inside the mansion.
Though she knew she was likely the first to attack she had no intention of admitting fault she was far to stubborn for such a thing. Still pacing she looked back and for listening to what he had to say she wanted to get an idea of where she had ended up she was always highly alert when she woke up from a night of transformation. Brief segments of the night ripped through her mind faster than she could concentrate on any particular one of them. Unable to focus on anything by this point she quickly stumble into the bed she had previously been laying on. With one arm on it she was able to keep her balance but the slightest wind seemed as if it could tip her.
Placing her hand over her face she forced herself to stay lucid as the memories of the night before came flooding in. Seeing more and more of their fight she was felt less and less like it was her fault. Since her powers where reactionary in nature she had very little control over how much a change could be controlled. Hearing the words “And if I'd wanted to kill you I could have” did not help her in terms of keeping herself in check “LIAR!!!!!!!” she roared what part she disagreed to was a bit sketchy but it was clear she was having a moment. Plunging to the ground she ran her claws across the floor it was becoming very hard to focus on anything that was going on. Though she was angry and frustrated it was unlikely she was going to let herself transform during the day. She was just bit upset and needed a chance to get situated

For a second Shawn thought he was getting through to her. He was watching her for any sign of an attack. Streak would be able to handle her again if she attacked him. Finally the young woman started to calm down and was about to climb back into her bed. Streak pulled his silver back into his body to a point of looking human. Suddenly she registered what he'd said to her. Perhaps it wasn't the smartest choice of words but it was the truth. At that moment he decided that he would have to be more careful with his words. Streak thought that the best way for him to calm this woman down was a change of subject.
He tried a different approach after she'd called him a liar. "Let's try this again. Hi I'm Streak and you're in the infirmary of the mansion for gifted youngster like yourself. What's your name?" He asked her hoping that this would calm her down. He didn't want to fight her inside the mansion or anyone unless they were in the Danger Room.
Focusing more she stood to her feet once more she finally caught a glimpse of her new acquaintance’s face. Looking at him left a foul taste in her mouth but it was likely he brought her here after their fight. Looking at herself a bit she noticed that it appeared as if her injuries had been tended to which meant she did not heal up like she did most of the time after a night under the full moon. This man had used a lot of silver like metal during their fight it appeared it must have been his curse. Though she had showed no signs of being allergic to silver in her human form she when she transformed her immunity to the metal seemed to just crumble away.
“I don’t need nor do I want your help if I were left alone I would have healed up fine on my own…any way I’m here for a likely obvious reason I need a cure for this curse of mine..” she said looking at her long claw like nails retract. Though it was only a defense mechanism she was quite ashamed of the way her powers seemed to just flow forth beyond her control.
“I am Miracle and Streak does not really sound like a name if you ask me…and I would not call this a gift…I was sure it was just an old story but hell..I guess… nothing any way yeah about help my furry problem I was told to come here” she said as she looked outside as if she were worried about the moon coming back. It was a constant concern of hers just how much day light did she have left.

Streak watched as she started to gain more composure. Thankfully it seemed she was becoming more like a human than animal. Seeing her look over her injuries he said, "Our resident doctor helped fix you up." He then listened to her as she started to yell at him. It was understandable because she didn't understand her powers. There were many people at the mansion already who started out like her but had made significant progress since living hear.
"Well I have some new that you may not like. There is no cure for people like us; however, there is a bright side. Living at this school can help you gain control of your powers so that you can keep your human mind while in your animal form." He noticed her claws retract also and the ashamed look on her face. "Don't worry about that. There's plenty of young mutants here that have trouble controlling their powers. But we have excellent teachers to help you master your powers." She then introduced herself and commented on the name he gave her.
"Nice to meet you Miracle. Well my actual name is Shawn but everyone calls me Streak. Which is short for Silver Streak." Streak thought for a minute about what she'd said. "Do you transform every night or only certain nights?" He finally asked her after a minute pause. He needed to know these things if she planned on staying at the mansion.
Cracking her neck first she listen to Streaky talk about a couple of thins that cause her a bit of distress. No cure meant more time wasted she had come to find a way to stop herself from getting all big and furry. But the one thing that took her off guard was that he offered her a chance to learn to control her curse. She had been working on that for damn near a year with no results. This long time with very little show for her effort had made her slightly bitter and unable to wrap her mind around the thought of someone teaching her how to control her unwanted gift.
“I don’t think you understand me so clearly I don’t want to transform at all it has been making m life quite hard as it is and the last person to try to help me with my little problem got mauled…so I think it might be a bad idea.” She said trying to object to his thoughts as calmly and as apathetically as possible in this past year she learned that the less she got excited the fewer problems she had.
“I’m sure most of your gifted youngsters here don’t have to worry about tearing apart buildings when they get started…” she said her propose was to chastise him a bit for noticing her small moment of insecurity. Though they did not happen much she did have them and her large lack of control seemed to pull them out often.
It’s not the same every night but nights like last in the light of the full moon I have no choice but to get furry…and this will continue until the night of the new moon when I lose all my powers and look like hot hell,” she did not often talk about her cycle so her explanation was not really the best .She had failed to note that what had happened the night before was going to happen again the that night and then the night after so on and so forth. Looking him up and down she gave him a quick once over she thought it a bit weird that he had been able to beat her even though. If he was able to stop her from tearing things up she would at least have to give this place some thought. She really had no other place to run to at this point.

Streak listened to her. Miracle made some very good points. Although she didn't have any of the experts that were located here at the mansion. Shawn of course would help her out with her mutation if she wanted. Although there was always others that had more similarities to her powers than he did. The first person that came to mind was Ted and the second person was Emerald. Shawn couldn't help but smile at her comments she'd obviously not met many other mutants if she thought her predicament was a singular case.
When in fact there were many of other youngsters at the mansion that had similar problems with their powers. They may not have all turned into giant werewolves almost every night but they all thought they were a threat to everyone they were around. Shawn decided to clarify a few things for her. He said this as nicely as he could, "Firstly. Your not the only one who can transform into a wolf. We have two older people who are very experienced that have similar abilities as you. Mind you their not the same as you but they do have similarities. So I'm sure if they met you they would have no problem helping you out." He paused for a minute.
"You'd be surprised how many youngsters we harbor that are actually very dangerous." Shawn thought it best to give a few examples of some of the more dangerous mutants that were here. "We've got a kid here who controls radiation and be set off like a nuclear bomb. There's quite a few fire manipulators, which can obviously set the place on fire very easily, and there's a lot of others. Some of the kids here are just so inexperienced that it makes them a threat. Don't worry you're not the first one that has arrived here that is dangerous. We can help you. If you give us a chance." He concluded. He wanted this to go better than their meeting on the grounds of the mansion. Considering they weren't fighting Streak would say that this was going much better. "So what do ya say? Will you let us try to help you?" he asked leaving the option up to her. If she didn't think they could help her then he wasn't going to stop her from leaving but if she decided to stay he would introduce her to someone that could help her.
Having almost no other reasons to object to the help that was being offered Mir figured it would be best to just stop complaining and get ready to do a bit a work. Now that she had made up her mind to stay at this place for gifted youngsters she realized she had to lay down a few ground rules just to make sure things would stay relatively safe. But she would get to those later she just wanted to rest up a for a minute the night was going to be terrible again and she could feel it coming on already.
“Well then where shall I stay since you are offering so much help…yo as long as captain atom bomb does not go off this place looks like fun for a lil while at least yo” she said before yawning and throwing her arms to the ceiling. This place was far nicer than where she was before even though they had no cure like she had hoped to find. She really wanted to get back to queens though to kill the guy who told her problem could be solved here.
“I hope you realize what you are doing…I around seven o’clock I’m gonna get really irritable and then an hour later I’m gonna get furry again so… I hope you have a plan because my only plan was to come here…” she said as she bent back and cracked her back. Transforming always left her a bit stiff so when she got up it was so much better to stretch. Starting with a little information she figure in time she would tell more but for now she would only throw out what was the most important and glaring issues like when she transformed and what types of things cause it to happen besides the moon, stress being another key factor.

Streak smiled. He was finally getting through to the woman. Either she was still wondering what help she would be getting by staying at the mansion or she was hoping he was lying about the cure. He knew the truth though and was hoping that she would make the smart choice and liev at the mansion where she could be helped, even if it wasn't the way that she wanted it to be. Shawn got up from the chair he was sitting in.
"I've got the exact place for you to stay while you're transformed. It's called the Danger Room. It's basically a simulation room that you can set up in any way. In your case we can set it up so that you have a forest to run around in and you wont have to worry about running into people. Hardly anyone goes in there at night. It's a lot more active during the day." He explained to her. "If you want to follow me I can take you down there now." He didn't want her to go off on him because she thought he was trying to pressure her or anything so Shawn said it like a suggestion. Shawn started to head towards the doors of the infirmary. He wanted to make sure that she was safely inside the Danger Room before she started any of her transformation.
At first she was all ready for whatever he had in store for her and she walked behind him a bit tentatively and slowly but she was ready. While walking he mentioned a place for her while she was transformed this was good but she really had no desire to have to go through that painful process again another night. And the comment about what she wanted the virtual room to look like if she went in it just because she had no choice but to turn into a gigantic walking fuzzy tank did not mean she loved the outside and wanted to run around them all night she had taken the comment a bit offensively but she did not want to make to a big a deal over it.
“If you were not there for the most of the last transformation let me fill you in on a little detail…hurts like hell so maybe if you have an alternative solution to my little issue I would love to hear it.” She said with a bit of spit flowing she had not quite been able to hold it back the last comment by the man had made her a bit mad. Though she was mad she had a bit of time before she would have to take control of her emotions. In a few hours she would have to make sure she was incomplete control of the way she felt otherwise she would be very likely to snap and almost instantly get fuzzy.
“I’ll check the place out but another idea would be very nice to hear ”

Shawn continued to lead the way to the Danger Room. It would hopefully house her for at least tonight. He needed more time to talk to people and get arrangements set up for her arrival. More time. More time. If he could buy that for just one night he could make everyone's lives easier. She didn't sound very happy with the thought of being in the Danger Room. He couldn't help it. It was the only place he could put her where she wouldn't destroy the mansion or its grounds.
"I understand that but I need more time to get things arranged and inform the right people. I didn't know what you'd be like once you woke up so I stayed by your side until we could talk. But now that I know you'll be staying here, at least for a while, I can make arrangements for some one on one help with some of our local shifters. If you want I can put you up in the Danger Room for tonight and then later I can introduce you to someone who might be very influential in your control." He said as he continued walking through the hallway.
Streak then led her downstairs to the basement where the Danger Room was located. He opened the door and said, "Well, this is it. I don't have any other ideas right now 'cause this is all real sudden." All Shawn could hope for is that she decided to go along with what he was proposing at the moment. He didn't think he was being unreasonable. He just asked for a little time and cooperation. Was that asking to much from someone like her? Certainly he hoped not.
Still following and expressing her distain for the whole transformation process she walked along wishing to get on with the whole process oh how she hated the two-three days in which she had to painfully lose control. Seeing how things where not likely to get any better than this she resigned herself to another night of painfully waiting for the intense burning that would arrive in a few hours. All the while he was speaking about how this was all so unexpected and how he needed time. All of these were valid points but she could not help but think about why she had traveled here in the first place, she wanted to stop the pain that was it.
A bit depressed after his explanation, she simply just looked on as they walked down the corridor after corridor she nodded a few times to show that she was listening but in the end there was not much to look forward to. Mir had, tried to learn control many times before she had given up that route a long time ago and he just simply stated that knew someone who could help even though she stated right of the bat she had someone try already. Once there she looked and wondered why she had allowed herself to be talked into this. She would stay in a cage all night like animal she thought to herself she would not disagree with him because she knew it was best but just the thought of it made her sick to her stomach. That cure was sounding better and better by the second to her.
“Well then sure why not let’s just throw fuzzy into the room so she does not break any thing… well I guess I’ll just sit here until the inevitability of my situation crushes my spirit and I just give in but honestly…I hope you come up with something a bit better than this I can’t even explain to you how much pain I’m in it’s almost maddening every night my insides feel like they are on fire…” she said as she stepped in to the room ready to accept her fate she had cared this pain for well over a year and so how much could one more night hurt. With the promise of a better place in the morning she tried to keep her spirits up and prepare for what was coming.

Streak continued to walk towards the Danger Room. It didn't take them long to get there. The young woman continued to complain about having to be locked up in the Danger Room like a rabid animal. He completely understood her point. If he was in her position he wouldn't want to be locked up like this either. Although he, himself, didn't like the idea of putting her in the Danger Room he was glad that she wasn't giving him too much argument on the way.
Finally they reached the shiny metallic room and He led her in. Shawn wasted no time in getting the simulation started. He walked up to the god room and typed in a few commands. As he did this the room started to sparkle to life. Trees started to appear. First one then another, and another. Pretty soon it was nothing that resembled a metallic room at all. The next thing that happened was that there were birds singing, animals running around, and dead foliage on the ground. "Well. I hope you like what I've cooked up for you. There's plenty for you to find in here. And once you get fully transformed, you wont be able to tell the difference between this and a real forest. I'll look for Emerald as soon as I leave here and then she can help you out. I'm very confident in her abilities." Streak told Miracle. He walked back to her and said, "If you don't have anymore questions then I'll leave to go look for her." He waited in case she had quesitons.
