The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Just less then an hour ago Sam the ice manipulation mutant had left Luna to her own devices as she had entered her new room. It was meant for a single person, however not in the way Luna originally thought! There was a beautiful mint green carpet on her floor, the walls were painted white of course- it made the room look bigger.
Not that the room wasn't big enough for the twelve year old. The bed she would soon be getting used to sleep in was a double-sized bed, the one's meant for two people like in a hotel or something. While the sheet's design was that of vines and swirls on them the over cover was dyed lilac. Her pillow lied at the top of her bed comfortably.
Next to her new bed to the left was a side table of red oak, with nothing on it at the moment however Luna would put her new alarm clock her parents bought her before she left for here. In fact they bought quite a few new things to make her feel comfortable away from home. Because for a twelve year old girl leaving her family for who knows how long, could be quite lonely. Straight from where the side table was the door to her bathroom apparently- the door was furnished an oak as well. Luna would check that out later...
Her main door that took her in and out of the room was to the left of the bathroom, making the bathroom door on her right. On the opposite side of the room lied a simple work desk also oak in design, which was most likely used for her to do homework, Luna hated homework... She was just a little lazy that's all! Directly in front of her desk was a pretty large window with blinds to keep the light out and have her privacy. It over looked the main gates, which was a beautiful view! Though Luna would keep the blind down most of the time- you never know...
To the left of her desk and window was a door which was most likely her closet. As Luna checked it out she realized it was one of those walk in closets! Man! talk about living it up! It was empty right now, but she doubted even if she put all her clothes in there it would still feel empty. Besides the green haired girl wasn't very materialistic in the ways of clothing or how she looked. Which showed with the clothes she wears.
As Luna took one last look of her new room she sighed, this would take some getting used to... "Well I guess I'll just unpack." She muttered as she began to walk over to her large suitcase which held all of her possessions. Luna sighed once more. "This will take a while..." She grumbled, not used to doing these things on her own... And thus began her work to put her stuff in her new living quarters. Starting with her new alarm clock- just in case. She put the alarm clock on the furnished red oak side dresser as she plugged it in to the convenient outlet, it's light blinking on twelve- she'd set it later. "Okay- one done, a lot more to go!"
Garrett had been out for a swim, enjoying the heated pool on another crisp Autumn day. After a fair amount of laps, he climbed out and towelled off, goosebumps more than apparent on a hairless body. He saw Sam speaking to a young girl with green hair and suitcases. Another new arrival. More had been trickling in as of late. Always a good sign. It occurred to him that this girl could be one who didn't have the night of the incident to judge him with, so he thought he might pay her a visit.
He slid his sweats and a T-shirt on and made his way across the grounds, heading for his own bedroom. Once there, he gathered up some cones of incense and a small censer as a room warming gift for the new arrival. He slipped some sandals on, leaving his toes exposed, a habit picked up from his time with Maya. He peeked out and could hear Sam's loud voice around the corner in the girl's hall, so he waited a few in his room, doing a bit of cleaning.
Peeking out again, it seemed quiet again in the hallways, so he gathered the cones and censer and a pack of matches. He walked down and turned the corner, hearing the familiar rummaging sounds of a new resident going through their items. He recalled arriving himself with only his pilfered satchel and the clothes on his back. Now he could actually give things to others. He had come a long way. Garrett stood outside of the door and knocked lightly on it. " Hello? Any green haired girls inside?"

Luna was shocked at someone coming into her room so early, that she 'epped' in surprise turning around her hands were behind her covering her suitcase. Eyes widened with surprise she looked at the guy before her. 'Another dude?' Luna thought. 'Is he like Sam?' she thought once more before blinking and quickly getting up to brush herself off and compose herself. Trying her best to glare she spoke in her normal tomboyish voice.
"You know... it's rude to come into a girl's room..." 'Oh wow, VERY smart Luna!' She berated herself in a sarcastic tone. "Anyway- Why are you here?" she questioned as she turned to her suitcase once more, as she pulled out some lotion to put on her stand. 'Heh. Baby lotion AGAIN mom?! I'm twelve, almost thirteen!' She mentally grimaced at her mom's train of thought for the lotion. As she waited for the guy to respond.
Garrett was at first surprised due to the fact that the door swung open when he knocked on it. Well oiled hinges and maybe more strength than he had intended? Either way it was odd. odder still was this little girl giving him a talking to. The red side of his head wanted to talk back, but Garrett kept it in check. " I'm sorry, I didn't expect the door to open, I was only knocking." He made sure to remain in the hallway and not actually step foot in her room as even his mere appearance had set her off.
" I saw you come in with Sam and wanted to welcome you to the Mansion. I know how it can be to come to a new place with no friends." Good work, Garrett. Remember, this is a diplomacy mission. He smiled and sat the incense cones and censer down on the ground inside the threshold of the room. " I actually brought you a little roomwarming gift. It's incense and a little censer to burn it in. Oh." He put a little box of wood matches down beside the censer.
" Anyway, my name is Garrett Wills. I am a trainee ofr the team like Sam is. My codename is Seizure, but feel free to call me Garrett if you like." He took a tentative step back into the hallway." Anyway, sorry for obthering you or offending you. If you need any help with anything, I am down the aduult's hall, third room on the left. Or, if you would rather be around girls, my girlfriend Maya is just down this hall. Um, two rooms that way." He pointed in the general direction.

"Oh! S-Sorry Garret! I was just shocked that's all..." She muttered as she turned to him rather suddenly. Getting up she put the next thing she had gotten from her suitcase, her favorite pair of green hippo slippers. "Um. Well I'm Luna- Luna Highland, sorry for the outburst Garret..." She spoke as she turned to the older male. Her glass like eyes, shining the color of hazel.
"Well... Thanks for the incense!" She found it hard to think of what to say, embarrassed of her sudden rude reaction towards the sweet man. Walking over to the threshold she picked up the incense and matches as she looked up at Garret and smiled, a cute preteen smile. "Thank you! ... Um- You can come in you know." She said as she walked over to her side dresser putting the incense next to her clock to the left side of it.
Turning to look at the X-men trainee she smiled again, trying to give a good impression- might as well make some friends after all... Scratching the back of her head she thought for a moment. "Seizure huh?" "Ah. Why do you have that alias?" Luna questioned as she played with a lock of her dyed green hair. She was nervous but was trying not to show it obviously.
"I-I mean! You don't have to tell me, if you don't want and all.." She explained as she glanced away looking at the far side left wall before looking back at him. "I don't have a fancy title yet- BUT I'm hoping people will recognize me as the "Doll Mistress" one day!" She chuckled at the thought.
"Funny name for a tomboy huh?" Luna asked cheekily. "And a girlfriend?! That's cool- all you older people get all the cool things!" She muttered with a pout of her upper lip before smiling at her own idioticy. "And now I'm rambling..." She spoke softly embarrassed once more. A flsuh on her features.
Now Garrett had put her at odds. She was flustered and stammering out greetings all at once. It was sort of cute. Her name was Luna Highland. A nice name, as her glassy eyes shone like the orbiting satellite that her first name reflected. She did invite him in and he accepted, though keeping the door wide open for her own comfort. He found a spot in the floor that was relatively free of box or suitcase and sat himself down.
"Seizure huh? Ah. Why do you have that alias?"She hesitated. "I-I mean! You don't have to tell me, if you don't want and all.." She explained as she glanced away looking at the far side left wall before looking back at him. "I don't have a fancy title yet- BUT I'm hoping people will recognize me as the "Doll Mistress" one day!" Quite a spirited girl, she was. He wasn't sure if his mutation's explanation was going to ease things for her. " In a nutshelll, my gift is called Neural Manipulation. I can manipulate others' nervous systems. So, in a way, I am like a puppeteer myself, only I use people. Heh. Mainly I cause pain and seizures in others. Sounds fun, eh?" He said it with a wink and a smile, as that was as probably as lighthearted as one could explain such an ability.
She went on about older kids, girlfriends, being a tomby and other things that a tween would be apt to splurge about. He merely sat quietly and listened. Once she seemed to quiet down, he asked her a few things of his own. " Do you like it here? What does your gift do for you, exactly? Oh, and did Sam give you a map?"

Luna's eyes widened in shock at the explanation of Garret's ability. Yet another cool ability that Luna did not have... "Wow! That's awesome! So you can hurt people's heads?" She questioned in a normal childish curiosity. She blinked slightly as her young mind tried to process "Neural Manipulation" Though failed slightly, as her mind was too young right now to fully understand. Smiling she sat on the floor, making sure there was nothing in her way, she sat some feet away from Garret across from him. Legs crossed Indian style.
She smiled as she thought that Garret was much like Sam- cool and kind. 'Maybe not all guys are uneducated idiots...' She thought with a mental smirk. She blinked herself into reality when the older mutant asked about her ability. What was it, and people wondering about her power?! Luna frowned as she tried to not feel bad, as memories resurfaced.
"Well... as kiddish as it sounds, I have the ability to manipulate fabric, thread, or fake fur- or another material that makes up the components of a doll." She took a small breath going into her "smart mode". "Using my natural mutant abilities, I can channel said energies into the piece of fabric and create a teddy bear..." She turned her head slightly to the side, the loose ribbon that usually covered her neck became more loose until it feel off.
Luna blinked- "Darn thing.. never stays on!" She grumbled as the green "stitches" became visible for Garret to see around her neck, as Luna tied the ribbon back on. "I really don't like people seeing that..." She spoke softly to the elder X-men. "Um... anyway- my powers- Um, After I form the said doll- it becomes a high explosive letting me to be able to throw it and on contact of the target it will explode, like a cuddly bomb! BOOM!" She elaborated with her arms out wide, in a childish manner.
Smiling she looked at neural manipulator once more, a small frown on her face all childish antics gone for the moment... "Though.. this same "cute" ability, caused the indirect death of my brother..." She said sadly, though cut herself off to stop anymore sad emotions filtering through. With a questioning, childish look she echoed Garret's words. "Map? No I don't think Sam gave me a map..."
"Wow! That's awesome! So you can hurt people's heads?" Garrett reminded himself that he was speaking to a child, so he had to make it easier to understand. " Actually, I can hurt people anywhere. Heads seem to work well, though. I have noticed I can stun people outright, give them seizures, or wrack their body with pain. However, I have been trying to develop ...let's say friendlier versions of the ability, like numbing people who have pain so that they don't feel it." As complex as the nervous system was, there had to be some kind of benefit for it. He'd find it.
"Well... as kiddish as it sounds, I have the ability to manipulate fabric, thread, or fake fur- or another material that makes up the components of a doll. Using my natural mutant abilities, I can channel said energies into the piece of fabric and create a teddy bear...After I form the said doll- it becomes a high explosive letting me to be able to throw it and on contact of the target it will explode, like a cuddly bomb! BOOM!" She elaborated with her arms out wide, in a childish manner. Garrett smiled and chuckled. " Well, I'm glad you joined our side then, I'd hate to have to duck and cover from explosive teddies." He had noticed her apprehension in showing what appeared to be stitches on the back of her neck, as if she were a doll herself. While Garrett had no outward mutations, his constant migraines and battles with pain, along with a resident entity, proved to be more than enough.
She seemed to lose her childish charm as she continued."Though.. this same "cute" ability, caused the indirect death of my brother..." Garrett understood fully about the downside of a mutation. ' It's alright, you don't have to talk about it. Something happened here a the Mansion not too long ago where I ended up hurting alot of people. You might hear whispers or rumors about it. They like to call me 'Pain Guy'. I won't hurt you or anyone else, though, so don't worry over it. Bad things happen sometimes, just tha it seems we mutants get the worst of it."
He stood again, stretching his legs. At her mention of not having a map, he smirked slightly." I figured as much. Sam means well and is a great guy, but his attention to detail? anyway, I'll give you my old copy. It's a map of the Mansion, so you can wander around once you get settled in."
