The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Isabel's eyes widened and she sat up a little straighter in her comfy chair at the sudden outburst from the girl in response to her offhanded comment. That was definitely not the reaction she'd been expecting. Most mutants at least took the thought of training into consideration. Some were reluctant about using their abilities, while others were eager to push their limits and see what they could really do with the right kind of prompting. This girl, however, refused to even think about the idea. It almost looked as if she was shutting down, and was definitely having a bit of an anxiety attack over the whole proposal. "Hey, hey, relax," Isabel commented, her voice just a little louder in an attempt to have herself heard through the girl's hands and slowly dying comments. Cautiously she slipped out of her chair to kneel on the floor a short distance from the panicking girl. "You don't even have to look at the Training Room if you don't want to, alright? It was just a suggestion. Some people like using that room, so I thought I'd throw it out there," she continued, trying to calm the girl, but feeling a little inept in such a situation, not used to having to console others who were upset enough to cry. She was usually surrounded by very strong willed people, the size of their pride just as equal as the size of their will, and as such it usually would not allow them to show some kind of weak point like crying. "I'm not going to hurt you, Cailyn, and you don't have to do anything in any of the rooms in the Sanctuary that you don't want to. Just please don't cry." Nervously she chewed on a portion of her lower lip, waiting to find out if this was just the beginning of the storm.

She went into a state of chaos in her mind and it was every voice for him/herself again excluding her own. The whispers where going on and on about things that could possibly happen or not happen to her as of this moment. She couldn't hear exactly what the girl was saying as she was just to occupied with her own voices. A few tears of pain left her eyes but it wasn't exactly crying. Her head bonked and hurt like hell and she wanted to scream. This always happened when she got worked up until the girl said she wasn't going to be hurt. "I'm not going to hurt you, Cailyn, and you don't have to do anything in any of the rooms in the Sanctuary that you don't want to. Just please don't cry."
She sniffled a bit softly and turned around. Her head still hurt but it wasn't so bad anymore. She wiped her eyes and said:"Really?"
Isabel continued to nervously chew on her bottom lip as she waited for her newest acquaintance to calm back down and make any comments in reply to her statements. This was obviously one of the more unstable mutants now residing in the Sanctuary. She wasn't the only one, of course, though she was one of the few that Isabel had personally interacted with. When the girl finally did voice some sort of reply, Isabel gave a bit of a shy smile and nodded, keeping an eye on the girl who seemed to be having a bit of trouble with her head, though whether it was voices or maybe a headache or something else, she wasn't sure. "Yeah, really. I'm not exactly someone with a pristine record or even the best morals around, but one thing I can be counted on is to protect my friends in the Sanctuary," she said, trying to reassure the girl and get her to calm back down once more. "I've got no reason at all to hurt you, Cailyn, and I doubt anyone else here has one either. So just relax, okay? We all do our best to help each other out and protect each other here, so you're pretty safe, to say the least. Just don't worry too much about it. Worrying never really helps, anyways."

She nodded. She was gullible enough to believe everyone that could make themselved come over believeble. She was in a state of mind that everything that would be said involving her not getting hurt sounded good and conforting to her. Though that she said people protected each other here but she saw some other sides of that. People crushing her toy car and stealing her food. She always got some food before everyone was there so that i wouldn't happen. She had to tell her about it and said: "But but, somebody crushed my price." She might not know what she was talking about but she wanted to get it of her mind.
Isabel gave a small sight of relief as the girl finally seems to believe what she was telling her and calmed down a little further. A little unstable and somewhat emotional. Isabel committed her little mental notes to memory and attached a mental image of the girl's face to them. It was always better to know which mutants were more prone to attacks of emotional variance as it would hopefully better assist her in dealing with them in the future so she would know to pick her words a bit more carefully if she could help it. This particular girl seemed to swing more towards the emotions of sadness and worry. At this point there wasn't any way to be sure exactly why that was, though usually overly-emotional mutants had some kind of defining incident in their pasts that triggered their shift into those bouts of feeling. The general sense of caution that the girl seemed to carry with her when not letting her guard down and slipping into a more carefree mood could very well have been caused by some sort of trauma in her past. Had a psychiatrist gotten a hold of Isabel's mind, they may decide that the fear and abandonment she'd been put through at the hands of her parents could have something to do with her violent intentions toward the majority of the human race. This girl could have gone through something similar, though it'd had the opposite affect on her. However, there was no psychiatrist around, and so there was no need for psycho mumbo jumbo.
The girl's next comment did end up confusing Isabel a bit. She had no idea what her prize had been, but apparently someone had broken it. She figured it was safe to assume it was also someone in the Sanctuary, since the girl now lived here and it was mentioned in Isabel's own comments. "Well, I suppose it wasn't quite accurate to say that everyone here looks out for everyone else. There's always someone who causes problems for others," Isabel replied, her posture relaxing once more as she crossed her legs indian-style and leaned her back up against the chair she'd vacated just a few moments before. "But some of us aren't all that bad. I personally try and look out for my friends here, though that doesn't mean I won't teach a lesson to a few idiots that happen to pass through now and again," she continued, giving a bit of a grin at the thought of the pair of idiots that her and Bacchus dispatched not too long ago. Every home had it's problem children. They just needed to be put in their place. "I wouldn't worry about the dim bulbs too much. You should be able to make some friends while you're here and they'll look out for you."

Friends was a concept that Cailyn didn't fully grasped after 10 years in a mental institution. She still had the character of a 7 year old that didn't know what real friends where. She tilted her head when she was told that she could make friends. "Make friends? " She said as she tilted her head to normal again. From what she had seen from this place was that everybody did their own thing and seeing as Cailyn had a hard time to connect with people didn't make it very easy for her. She looked straight forward to the wall again and she blushed i bit. "I don't have friends." she said as another response.
Again Isabel's words seemed to be either doubted or not completely comprehended, though at least this time the girl remained quite calm about it and more curious instead of upset. Quirking a brow, and with a slight tilt of her head, Isabel watched the girl for a brief moment as her face turned a few light shades redder with her admittance of not yet having any friends. That wasn't anything out of the ordinary, really. A lot of mutants that wandered into the Sanctuary were on their own, and a good portion of those mutants had some difficulties moving past the solitary habits that they'd grown accustomed to. This particular girl seemed to be on the shy side, which would hinder her in speaking up and meeting new people, not to mention the emotional turbulence she seemed rather prone to experiencing. "I didn't have any friends when I first showed up, either, but I made some pretty quickly. I wouldn't worry too much about not having any for too long," she said in reply to the other girl's comments. "A lot of the mutants here are used to being on their own, so some of them aren't so quick to open up and start looking to make friends just yet. From the sound of it, you've already met at least one of those mutants, though they also sound like the kind that goes out of their way to make a mess in order to prove some unknown point. I'd just ignore idiots like that one. They aren't even worth your time. However, there are others around here that will make some great friends. It's just a matter of finding them and getting acquainted," she continued, lazily crossing her arms and slipping a few more inches further down in her seated position to get a little more comfortable. "You're already getting to know me, and it's not hard at all. I can see us being friends at some point."

The concept of having friends sinked in on Cailyn. She pondered the thought some more about this girl could be her friend. She knew the twins but she hadn't seen them in a while. They where fun to hang around with though and they bought all kinds of things for her. She seemingly already had friends without even knowing it. "Really?" She asked like a little excited kid as she complety turned around to face the girl. It would be fun to have a good friend and play with somebody. Though the girl spoke of all the bad people that she needed to avoid here. She took that warning but seemingly this girl knew everything about this place and she was nice. It was a win win situation in the mind of a mentally unstable.
"Yeah, really," Isabel replied, easily noting the added tone of excitement in the other girl's voice as she spun to look at the senior Sanctuary resident. It seemed as if she was rather easy to please, judging by the enthusiasm she had for something as simple as making a few friends. Then again, Isabel was easy enough to please in her own way as well. Just leave her alone with someone wearing a badge and she'd be happy as a clam for the rest of the day. "We're really not all that bad around here, despite what some others might say. We'll look after you, and you'll be able to find your niche and make friends soon enough," she continued, smiling easily at Cailyn. "You could try eating you meals in the Cafeteria, for starters, instead of holing up in the Rec Room by yourself. There's always a good amount of people in there, so you're bound to find someone you can talk to. But that's your choice, really. There's other places in here that you could visit and find people other than the Caf." She was just tossing around a few ideas by now. This girl seemed happy enough with the prospect of meeting people and making friends, but in order to do so she'd need to get around the Sanctuary a bit and see where exactly she could meet people, and find which of those people were also willing to make friends.

The girl mentioned all kinds of places to meet people and make friends. This sounded very interresting and exciting for her. She put her bowl on the nearby table and got up. She stretched a bit and look at the girl. "Thank you i will do that right now." She smilled at the girl and skipped out of the room in search of new friends and adventures to fill her head with. Or atleast to keep the voices out. Before she left the room she quickly said :"Bye bye." to the girl too before she forgot to say bye.
