The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Cailyn was out for a day in the park. atleast she didn't know it was a park but it was indeed a park. She strolled down looking at all the people and the bird and the trees. She never seen real animals for almost 10 years so she was kind of excited to see some. She moved herself down some pathways to see all kind of people walking or skating around. Some where walking their dogs, others where just talking to each other and there where even some who did both at the same time.
As she came to a pond she saw some ducks or where they geese? she didn't know. They looked funny and they quacked friendly at the people feeding them bread. Cailyn's eyes swelled up like a little child seeing a big candy store. She couldn't believe she saw actuall ducks, or geese. She slowly walked to one of the duck looking at him with big eyes. The duck got scared and flew a bit back. This scared Cailyn and made her fall back too. She looked at the duck and the duck looked back as if it was a staring contest. "One day little duck i will catch you." She thought to herself as she looked at him
The shop was pretty much back to normal, all that was left was a bit of final rearranging and normal cleaning to make it presentable for customers again. And then there was the reordering to replace the books and other items that had been ripped, bled on, or otherwise destroyed.
But Lee had needed to get out of the shop, if for just a bit. Even though she was doing much better with being stuck inside all day than she had when she and Tarin had first gotten together, Lee still had limits, and two and a half days in the shop of cleaning was far past that limit.
So wearing a pair of jeans and running shoes due to the cleaning, Lee threw her leather jacket on and left the shop, promising to be back soon with a coffee. From there, Lee's feet were on autopilot as she made her way into Central Park.
At least she was on autopilot until she saw an unusual sight by a pond. No, not just any pond, but the pond that Tarin had decided to go wading in on a warm spring day; the very reason they had even met. This time, it was a girl there, young woman really, apparently playing with the geese.
Lee stopped and just looked at the woman as she fell backward when the goose flew away. The same pond, another strange occurrence... Well it worked out well the first time, Lee decided as she walked forward once more.
"Geese aren't normally all that playful, you know," Lee said once she had gotten closer to the young woman.
"Geese aren't normally all that playful, you know,"
"duck, geese, duck, geese ,duck ,geese" She thought to herself. She shook the thought of and looked at the person talking to her. She was actually a pretty girl with long black hair and grey eyes. She looked at her from the ground and tilted her head. She noticed that she was starting and stood up. She patted the dirt of her pants and looked at her and said: "But they are fluffy." in a childlike manner.
She had no clue what the girl wanted but when she closed her eyes she felt something weird about her. Well a whisper told her something and she agreed she felt it. There was something about the girl that couldn't be seen by normal eyes. Her hand twitched and she turned around looking at the duck or geese. It didn't seem that she would be able to catch it and said: "Why won't you play mister duck."
"Dogs are fluffy too," Lee said, frowning slightly at the younger woman as she stood up. Why in the world would she be wanting to go after a goose because it was fluffy, Lee didn't know. Herself, Lee didn't want to get any closer the the animals, she knew they could get rather vicious.
But then the woman closed her eyes, just simply standing there, and Lee's frown deepened. Before she could sort that out, though, the woman was opening her eyes again and she was looking around for the geese.
Oh great, what have I gotten myself into here? Lee asked herself. Though really, she couldn't expect every strange encounter in the park to work out as well as the one with Tarin had ended up.
At that thought, Lee blinked at the woman who was turning to look for the geese. That wasn't exactly true, though, since her first encounter with Tarin, the run in in the park, just on the other side of this very pond in fact, had not gone well at all. It had only been afterwards that things had started going well. So maybe this wouldn't be as bad as it was looking like it'd be right then.
"I wouldn't be wanting to play with the geese if I were you," Lee told the young woman softly. "They're bills are hard."
"I wouldn't be wanting to play with the geese if I were you," Lee told the young woman softly. "They're bills are hard."
"Bills?" she thought to herself. Cailyn was thinking of the wrong kind of bills. She thought about payments and other stuff. She shrugged it off. If there bills would be dangerous she didn't want to go near them anymore. Thinking about getting hurt made her think about what the guards did and she didnt like that.
"bad ducks." she mumbled to herself as she pulled a sad face. She turned around and faced the woman. She looked her straight in the eyes and moved her head a bit forward examining her. "You are pretty." she said to her.
As the woman turned back to look at her again, Lee frowned. Ok, maybe this was as bad as she had first thought, maybe this encounter at the pond in the park wouldn't turn out as well in the end as things had with Tarin.
And then the woman spoke, and Lee really didn't know what to do or say. She was pretty, was she? Well, Tarin sure did tell her that quite often, and Lee did know she was more than capable of gussying herself up, but really, she looked pretty that day? She was in jeans and a tshirt under her jacket, and she was sure she was probably at least a little dirty from cleaning the shop.
"Ah, well, thanks," Lee said a little awkwardly. "Uh, be careful with the geese. They've attacked me before." Lee continued, getting ready to turn and find herself a coffee before heading back to the shop.
Cailyn pulled a big smile with closed eyes at her response. She liked people happy and that made her happy.
"Uh, be careful with the geese. They've attacked me before." Lee continued
This shocked Cailyn a bit. In her mind fluffy looking creatures where nice and never attacked people. Seemed she was wrong and that made her a bit sad. She pulled up a sad face and said: "But they look so nice." pointing at the duck. She didn't know if it was a goose or a duck. They all looked the same to her. Out of nowhere she felt like humming a tune. She had a feeling that the woman liked music and so did Cailyn. She hummed a soft and happy tune and softly moved her head a bit from left to right when she hummed it.
