Soma sighed and looked up at the sky. There was a single tiny cloud drifting alone in the wide blue expanse. Despite the proud sun’s lustrous rays and the rich backdrop of almost cerulean sky, it felt so lonely up there. So isolated and ultimately alone. So like himself, Soma thought. Separated from the rest of humanity, unable to coexist normally with other people, forced to seek solace.
Soma was sat on a grassy bank; the park around him was unusually empty for such a glorious day. There were other people about, but thankfully kept their distance from him. The masses would be at home or at the stadium watching the sport. God knows who was playing who and at what. Soma only appreciated the chance to spend time outside away from the crowds. He could unwind a bit and not have to hold his breath at every turn. What a thankless existence he led.
Soma looked back down and buried his head in his knees. Would this ever end?

Slade bounded through central park, his hip hop flaring from his lapel positioned speakers. Stepping deftly to the beat he made his way over the grassy knolls of Central Park. He'd always wondered fleetingly what would happen if a park warden saw him trudging over the grass, technically he was a person so could walk on the designated grassy areas and yet he was a car... Not that a warden would stop him from walking where he wanted, Slade still had yet to empathise with someone trying to reason with a car in human from. For example how would you approach it to say 'I'm sorry as a vehicle you're legally restricted to the roads'? A bad tempered walking car might run you over... then again maybe not.
He was lost in his thoughts, passing through to the other side so he could meet with Goosh, the lazy git never came north of Central Park meaning Slade had to do all the commuting! He paused at the peak of a small domed expanse of grass and looked down to survey where he should go from here. Being lazy it involved passing through today's 'seated' area of Central Park, he could take the time to go around these tranquility-seeking-people but time is effort and that would mean Slade would have to overcome his abstract laziness. This of course would be untenable... Why people gathered only to sit in seperate groups utterly baffled Slade, if you're gonna get together atleast meet and greet those around you... He just hoped there wouldn;t be too many complaints about the hip hop.
