The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Cailyn found herself sitting on a bench in a mall in new york city. Not that she knew it was called a mall of that she was in new york city. She passed by all the stores looking through the windows seeing all kinds of items she found interrested. This one shop particular sold a jacket she was in love with, byt the store owner said that she needed money to buy it. Being a escaped mental patient wasn't a good start to buy stuff so she sat down on a bench just looking at people and smiling. She rocked her body back and forth and with every person that passed by she got a little bit of intel about them. Sometimes she even heard the whispers telling her secrets about them. Who cheated on who and what they did after closing hours. Some people looked strangly at her but Cailyn didn't care, she found everybody who passed by just as interresting as the next. To bad nobody was here to enjoy the fun she was having
After a few hours she was still sitting there, watching at people. She stil had the time of her life, learning more about people. She curled her legs up against herself and put her head between her knees just observing people. She smiled with the cutest smile she had to everyone who looked at her while they mostly just looked at her like a freak. Eventually she began to get hungry, her stomach rubbled softly. She looked down to her stomach with her knees still curled up to her and softly said: "Don't take that tone to me, i don't have money."

Chris was spending the day, chilling at the mall. It was something he'd taken to doing since he was still trying to get used to being around people. While he was living at the mansion, it was all to easy to stay in hi9s room and ignore everyone else that was there. Chris decided that it wasn't good for him so he left the mansion for a little while and spent his time wandering the mall from store to store.
He was slowly walking down the main corridors when he noticed a girl rocking back and forth on a bench and it seemed she was talking to herself. He wasn't sure if he should interrupt but it seemed like she was saying something about money. Ordinarily he wouldn't stop for people sitting on a bench and doing what she was doing but he had a strange feeling that he should. He walked up to her and noticed that she was about his age with striking blue eyes. "I'm sorry but did you say you needed some money? Are you hungry, cause I was on my way to the food court to get something and wouldn't mind some company. My names Chris by the way, and you are...?" He held out his hand for her to shake or use as help getting up he didn't really care. He waited for her reply to see if she was going to freak out and yell at him or accept his invitation. Fission had saved up enough money from when he was younger, so he had quite a bit he was able to spend.
A young man walked up to Cailyn. He had seen him coming but she went into shy mode when she noted he was walking up to her. He was the first person to react to her observation of people. All the other people ignored her or gave her akward looks. "I'm sorry but did you say you needed some money? Are you hungry, cause I was on my way to the food court to get something and wouldn't mind some company. My names Chris by the way, and you are...?"
She looked at him a bit amazed. "He is talking to you , react." Said a whisper to her. She shook her head and said:"they say my name is Cailyn." She smiled at him with a soft, cute smile. "But i shouldn't talk to strangers, they say" She added and she started to bite her lip as she still sat down with her knees curled up against her ignoring the hand.

they say my name is Cailyn." "But i shouldn't talk to strangers, they say"
Chris listened to her answer. He brought down his hand as calmly as he could, without making it seem like it was just ignored by the girl. "Well hi, Cailyn. Who is the they that you speak of? And besides if you don't talk to strangers how are you supposed to meet new people and make friends?" the girl intrigued him. However, he was afraid he may have just introduced himself to the only unstable chick in the entire mall. He didn't show any concern for this fact but it was definitely something that he needed to keep in mind while he was talking to her. He wasn't going to give up that easily. Besides it wasn't the first time a girl acted insane for because they wanted him to leave them alone. He usually didn't get their hints.
Fission continued to stand there as he waited to see if Cailyn was going to answer him or ignore him.
"Well hi, Cailyn. Who is the they that you speak of? And besides if you don't talk to strangers how are you supposed to meet new people and make friends?"
Cailyn let that sink in for a moment. she didn't want to tell him about the voices and neither did the voices want to be talked about. He was correct about the friends part but, Cailyn was never alone. "They don't want me to tell you." She sad with a little nod. "They don't like being talked about." She rocked her body back and forth a little before answering the friends question. She put the tip of her thumb to her mouth and looked to the ground. She came to realize she didn't have much friends but she mostly didn't need them. She was mostly occupied with keeping herself as sane as possible. "I don't need allot of friends." She said. Suddenly she noted that he thought she was unstable and that did something to her. She didn't think of herself as unstable, just a bit odd... maybe. She put her head between her legs, hiding her face and she whispered to herself."I'm not unstable, i'm just odd." She said that so softly that Chris wouldn't hear her completly.

"They don't want me to tell you." "They don't like being talked about."
Chris was not very surprised at the fact that she didn't ant to talk about who they were. After thinking for a few seconds he realized that it was sort of a personal question to be asking someone you just met. "Okay , I can respect that." He said to her. He didn't want to make her uncomfortable or anything.
"I don't need allot of friends."
"You may not need a lot of friends but you do need some." Chris pointed out to Cailyn. He just heard the beginning of her last comment, "I'm not unstable, That weirded Chris out a little. He had no idea how she knew he thought she was unstable. Just then the little voice in his head popped into Fission's thoughts. Dude, she not interested, just leave her alone and walk away. No I'm not going to leave her alone. Stop interjecting and let me do all the talking. She looks kind of lonely so just shut up, sit back and enjoy the ride. Okay? Okay. but I don't know what you expect to accomplish with this chick. I think she's off her rocker. And with that the voice stopped bugging Chris and let him deal with Cailyn for now.
"You may not need a lot of friends but you do need some."
He was clearly right so Cailyn simply didn't respond, though she did manage to have no friends till she got out of the asylum. She pondered her thoughts for a moment. She tried to figure out what he wanted from her, she was clearly not bothering anybody. She is a bit paranoide when it came to men mostly because of the guards hitting her when she was minding her business. She shrugged it of, she would just be her "normal" self and see where it goes. Then she noticed his conflict with himself. This gave the impression he was a bit off. This made her a bit more carefull around him because she didn't know what he was going to do. As the argument in his head stopped Cailyn said to him:"Fighting with yourself is a unatractive feature."

"Fighting with yourself is a unatractive feature."
"Oh, sorry about that." Fission said to her. Then it registered with him what she said. "Wait. What? H...How'd you know that? Are you a psychic or what?" Chris was freaking out. He never liked the idea of people reading his mind. He took a few breaths and calmed back down. Okay, so Cailyn is obviously a mutant. That's cool. That's one thing we have in common. Chris thought to himself, though once he thought it it occurred to him that she could probably read his thoughts. He didn't want to reveal his powers to her because it often didn't end well, or they avoided him after that. Now Chris was definitely interested in finding out more about this girl.
"Oh, sorry about that." Fission said to her. Then it registered with him what she said. "Wait. What? H...How'd you know that? Are you a psychic or what?"
She was bazzled by that. She wasn't psychic, just knew things but he seemed to think she was psychic. She shook her head in a "No" manner. "i just know." She said. This conversation became weird, even for her. The guy seemed to be pretty interrested in her, seeing as he was fighting with himself weither or not he was going to talk to her. Cailyn started thinking about what his agenda with her was because he seemed very interrested in her. She shrugged that off because she was very thrusty in nature and she believed that he would be nice to her. If he didn't it was more of a problem for him then for him.
Voices started talking to her again. They whispered stuf to her about the people that passed by. This gave her a bit of a headache. She rubbed her head and looked a bit irritated. This wasn't one of the first times she got this affect to her but she mostly got over it withing 10 minutes or so.

"i just know." She said after Chris saw her shake her head no to being psychic.
He saw her rub her head and she looked annoyed. "Sorry am I annoying you? I don't mean to. It's just you're different, and different is interesting to me. I don't know maybe I'm weird like that." He said smiling to her. Chris wasn't sure if he was wearing out his welcome or not so he thought quickly to change the subject to what he had asked when they started their conversation. "So, do you want to grab something to eat? My treat." Fission continued to smile at her as he waited for her reply.
"Sorry am I annoying you? I don't mean to. It's just you're different, and different is interesting to me.
She shook her head no again. The headaches where a bit less now but the whispers where talking again. "Different is what drives people to hate." they said to her. "To Kill." they continued. Different is what ruined her life to begin with. She rubbed her head a bit more before reacting again. "People think Different is wrong." She said. It reminded her about all the time she spent in the asylum just because she is different.
"So, do you want to grab something to eat? My treat."
Her stomach rumbled again. She looked at it and said: "Shhh" She looked up to Chris and said. "My tummy wants to." She stood up and brushed her pants as if they where dirty. She put her hands together and looked at Chris with a smile. "You got the money they speak of?" She asked.

"People think Different is wrong." Cailyn told him.
Chris agreed and shook his head also. "Well they're wrong. Different is what makes us unique. It's what separates us from the animals. Or the humans." Chris said finishing this last part meaning mutants are better than humans. Chris couldn't help but smirk a little as she shushed her stomach. "I see I'm not the only one who talks to their stomach." He smiled hoping she had a good sense of humor.
"My tummy wants to." "You got the money they speak of?"
He thought it was a little weird that she brushed off her pants as if they were dirty, despite the fact that her clothes looked very clean if not new. "Ya I've got money. Come on Cailyn." He replied to her. Chris started to walk slowly towards the food court. He looked back to make sure she was following him.
Chris started to walk away and Cailyn followed him, looking at all the people who passes her by. She pulled her sleaves a bit over her hand while she walked. She followed Chris with a slow pace , examining everybody who passed by while the whispers talked to her. "Why follow him." "Is it smart to go with him." "He could hurt you." said most of the whispers though there were some more optimistic ones. She continued to follow Chris into the food court.
As they entered the food court she gazed around looking at all the food stands they had there. Her stomach made the faint sound of rumbling again when she smelled the scent of food being prepared. It all smelled way beter then the food they served at the asylum and Cailyn didn't know where to begin. She looked around some more to see a foodstand that served oriental food. She never say that before, all she ever saw was mashed potatoes and pee's. She pointed over to the stand and softly said: " I want to try that."

Chris saw that she followed him slowly as if she was nervous about following him. He only slightly noticed that she pulled her sleeves over her hands. He ignored it since it was something that his ex-girlfriend used to do a lot. Once they got into the food court the delicious smells attacked their senses. Chris was looking around when he saw Cailyn in awe of everything here. After a little while she pipped up.
" I want to try that."
"You've got to be a mind reader or somethin' cause I was thinking the same thing." He said smiling at her. "Let's go." He walked over to the oriental cuisine food department. He looked at their menu that they had above everything. It all looked good. Once it was his turn to order, he said, "I'll have the chicken and broccoli, combo with two sides. I'll have the fried rice, and the egg rolls." Once he finished his order he said to the servers behind the counter, "Our orders are together." indicating Cailyn and himself. Then the servers moved on to take her order.
"You've got to be a mind reader or somethin' cause I was thinking the same thing."
She looked at Chris and she nodded no again. She wanted to blurt out that her father was one and that she just has some kind of aftershock of what he could do but decided not to. Blurting things like that out wasn't very good mostly because she was running from her father.
Cailyn followed chris to the oriental food stand. She looked at the menu and saw all kinds of things she didn't know. She scrolled down the menu and found a picture of a steaming bowl of noodles. She likes the stringy things and said: " I want one of those." as she pointed at the picture while looking at the server. She scrolled back the menu again but didn't find a interresting picture to point at. She then turned back to the server and nodded : "That was it." before he could ask if she wanted anything else.
