After the gathering in Sanctuary Syn left for King Pharmaceuticals. She wanted to check on the progress of both the virus and the serum. There were a few other ideas she had as well.
Upon entering the building she was immediately recognized. One of the front desk attendants quickly made a phone call. The call was to one of the chief executives. His name is Dr. Timothy Simms. He specializes in genetic research and is one of the main people working on the Haywire Virus.
Dr. Simms exited one of the elevators and headed straight for the black and red haired girl.
"Welcome Syn, we've been extremely busy getting everything ready for you. If you'd like to see our progress I would be more than haappy to give you a tour."
"I would very much like to see what you've been doing."
The man gestured to the elevators and once they were both inside Dr. Simms pushed the basement button. Syn remembered the holding areas as well as the room in where Haywire was kept during Syn's last visit. She also remembered how the different mutants they had caught reacted to Haywire. Syn smiled.
When the doors opened up the man let Syn step out first. Things had changed since her last visit. Everything had been cleaned up and upgraded as well.
"We have been doing various experiments with the Haywire DNA. One of which of course is the virus you requested."
"What other experiments have you conducted Doctor?"
"Well, we've taken the blood sample you gained from one of the captured mutants and we have been toying with the X-gene. We have been trying to create our own mutants."
Syn paused for a moment. That was unexpected to say the least.
"You've been trying to make your own mutants how?"
"By injecting a solution with an active X-gene into test subjects. Our results haven't been very fruitful I'm sorry to say. Most of the test subjects end up dying from one cause or another. Some have heart attacks, others go insane and a couple have literally exploded."
Syn was beggining to like this man. He had some good ideas going on here. This new topic brought up some ideas to Syn.
"What about growing a mutant? You could make a clone and have the X-gene grow with it so it's more natural. So it wouldn't be much different than the mutants walking around today. They all grew up with the X-gene inside them."
Dr. Simms looked at Syn with an inquisitive look, but this look gave way to a smile. One could almost literally see the gears starting to turn within his head. His eyes sparkled with the idea.
"That just might work."
He walked to a nearby phone and made a call. He told the person on the recieving end of the call to immediately begin work on developing clones with the X-gene already incorporated into the DNA.
When he had made himself perfectly clear to the other person Dr. Simms hung up the phone and looked back to the girl.
""You really should visit us more often Syn. You have some very good ideas."
Syn smiled genuinely and gave a slight nod.
"I was actually coming to talk to you about something similar. I was going to ask you to make me some clones to be my personal body gaurds, but now with the idea of them having the X-gene in them I'm even more excited."

After going over in more detail the new request from Syn the girl changed topics. "How complete are you to mass producing the Haywire virus?" Her tone was much more serious that it had been previously. She really wanted to know how much progress the Doctor had made.
"We have already started mass producing it as of the beginning of the week."
"I'm happy to hear that Dr. Simms. Now I know I'll have plenty to use when I feel the need or the desire."
Syn smiled in a most sinister way. She knew the man had no idea of her actual plans for that much of the virus to be produced. His ignorance showed through in his next statement.
"Yes, there will be plenty for you to use in your darts. I heard the last mutant that was a recipient of a dart almost destroyed some sort of school or something. That must've been chaotic."
"Oh yes it was quite a tragedy indeed."
Naturally the girl wasn't going to spill forth any more detail. Some people were better of left in the dark. Besides, having his lack of outside knowledge mean he had more attention on things here.
