The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“So yeah any time you want to train just tell me.”
At the next question DK paused for a bit. Truth be told he froze for a second. Should he trust the girl? Should he?
“I was born a mutant, but was entered into a research program, where they altered my DNA and even I believe my X-gene in order to make me more suited for their purposes. That was bad enough, but in the midst of the process some Americans cam and sabotaged the process, killing many of my friends in the process….” He trailed off and looked into space.

Sara waved her hand slowly to show that he could stop. She didn't know his mutation that well enough to know if he was just pulling images out of her head or not. She wanted to believe he wasn't. She didn't feel like he was, but that wasn't something someone could feel. Was it?
"You're not the only one around here who has had their DNA messed with." She said. Her voice was soft, despite an slight tightness. "I've met a few others. I didn't know any other life, outside, till I was a teen and got myself out." There was enough said there. He didn't need to hear everything. The only good thing about the labs was that they sent Ayesac to find her and she was the one who caught him. She wasn't even sure if her feline apearance was do to herself being altered, or because it was natural. It was time for the subject to change.
"you want something to eat?" She pushed away from the bench, to the grill and the bag of charcoal

Dk, stopped as Sara waved her hand. In truth he was glad to as he did not really feel like dwelling on it too much. It was a long and tortuous road he had treat, with a lot more of it still to go and he had no desire to spur it on.
"You're not the only one around here who has had their DNA messed with." "I've met a few others. I didn't know any other life, outside, till I was a teen and got myself out."
DK stopped what he was doing, he could sympathise with Sara. “Well at least you got out! That was a start.” At this point there was a lot that was being said, there was also a lot that was not being said, but DK was comfortable with that. The level of trust here was quite remarkable considering the time that they had known each other for.

AT the moment, moving physically away from where the subject began, felt as good as moving away from the subject in conversation. Then again, moving always made things feel better. Standing still, always made Sara’s body feel tighter and tighter. Maybe that was another reason why she was constantly going from place to place.
“Sure I would not mind, need any help?”
“Sure. Do you know how to grill?” She motioned to the small travel grill, and the bag of charcoal. Everything of hers was small. Easy to pack away so she could go to one place in a single trip fitting inside a small back pack, or the large duffle bag. Her small grill was the only exception. “I’ve got a roast from the store, that can be cut and cooked as steaks.”

Glad to not have to talk more about the topic, DL enthusiastically said “Sure.” And thus proceeded to set to work preparing the food, his movement confident and smooth. S sort of silence settled over the two, a type which DK was not sure if he was comfortable with or not, but not knowing anything to say, he just kept the silence.

(Time jump permission given.)
Sara prepared the food, DK cooked, and they ate. Mostly in silence. It didn’t take long before they were finished and it was time for the things to be picked up. Sara had some time to dry off near what was left of the lit charcoal, making her feel much better.
Sara took the plate, that were the plastic camping types of plates, and dropped them in the basin, she would later be using to wash them. Things had slowed down, so Sara thought about having a little fun.
Near the basin, was a plastic camping knife. The corner of Sara’s mouth tipped up into a smirk. With her back to DK she picked the plastic knife up, then spun and let it fly straight for DKs shoulder. Just to see what he would do.

DK was just about to pick up a leftover bag of charcoal when he heard the knife whistling through the air. At this point reflexes took over. He dropped the sack of coal and started to turn. His right arm reached behind him and his right shoulder dropped and he spun on his right foot. The left hand came up infront of his chest in a half palm gesture, the knife caught in his right hand behind his back. DK took only a second to recognize the playfull look in Sara’s eyes before with the flick of the wrist sent the knife spinning and arcing over his head and straight towards her forehead. The knife spun rapidly but suddenly changed course and fell towards her feet at the last moment.
Her amber eyes tracked the knife. Catching wasn’t a problem, and her ears twitched, to the odd sound that the movement of the plastic knife made. Her hand shot across, in front of her, where the knife should have been headed, but it changed, and she continued the motion, turning it into a pivot, on one foot, where the other moved out of reach, of the knife. Instead of hitting her, the knife bounced off the floor, arching back up into the air, where Sara plucked it out of it’s spinning motion. “Ive always wondered how people do that turning thing.”

DK smiled and laughed heartily.
“That… take a wee bit of practice, speaking of which…” he paused mid sentence and help up a finger in a signal to pause. He walked over to where Sara’s now dried Sai’s were hanging and picked them up. He flipped both of them and caught them, it was a simple flip and nothing fancy, the sort that a 6 year old child could do. He walked back over towards Sara, passing his car on the way.
When DK was next to his car, as he walked he spun the Sais so that he was holding the rounded middle shafts with the handles pointing downward. As he flipped them his head was cocked to one side his eyes looking at a point on the floor, almost as if he was trying to get a feel for the sai’s.
“Good Sai’s, traditional rounded shafts as opposed to bladed ones.” He remarked his arms swinging back and forward as he walked. Suddenly he stopped his arms in mid swing behind them.
“On Guard!” and swung his arms forward and flicked his wrists forward so that the sia’s flew handle first toward Sara. He did not throw them very quickly, and thus he had more than enough time to reach over and pop the lid of the car boot. Hidden from Sara’s view was Dragon King’s array of weapons on racks and straps inside the boot. Calmly DK hooked two fingers under a pair of Sai’s, flicked them up in the air, closed the boot and caught them, turning to face Sarah.
“So how do you want to do this?” he asked her slightly quizzically.
Sara kept a watch on Dk, while he checked her sais. She liked the more traditional. She had enough strength that she could do damage with the ends, Sharp or not sharp, and Sara chose to use them more fore joints and presser points. She had claws. Five curved blades in each hand, were enough. Plus five on each foot. Seeing as Sara couldn’t fit her feet in human shoes, those were always out, but she always had to watch where she walked. Being barefoot everywhere, wasn’t always an asset.
She caught the sais with a casual catch. Raising her eye brow when DK pulled a set of his own out. Oh that was interesting. She sort of wondered what else he might have in there.
“So how do you want to do this?”
Sara shrugged. “I’ve never trained with a partner, with these.” Sara had no instructers other than experience of what had worked on her, in the past, and what seemed to work on others when the time came. She had practiced hand to hand with Ayesac. The rest of her training partners were in her imagination. “I’ll leave it up to you.”

(occ hope you don’t mind me G’modding you a wee bit, if you do object pm me and ill change it)
Dragon King thought for a moment. “Hmmm, ok, how about this, you attack me with all that you know and we shall see how it goes!” he said as he flipped both Sai’s to defensive position and dropped into a stance.
After a while “Come on, let rip, you can do better than that.”
“Ohh! That is more like it.” DK said as he narrowly avoided one particularly good hit. She was fast no doubt about that but rather lacking in the technique section. He was just defending on reflex.
“Careful now” he started to not just parry her moves but has their Sai’s connected to twist his to try to trap her. Both of them moved easily back and forth, but although it did not seem, DK was not straining himself. Finally when he saw that She was tiring he made his move.
With a “Ha!” his Sai’s found hers and locked on, he dropped into a stance and pulled. Where as before he had been fluid as water, effectively evading or diffusing her attacks, he was suddenly rock solid, like the mountains. As Sara lost her balance and fell forward, DK used the bulbed end of his Sai’s to gently tap her adam’s apple and stomach twice and then as she fell further tapped her back once. He turned to face her again.
“If I were attacking you I would have punched your Adam’s apple and stomach, making you gag reflexively and loose breath, the second tap represented me reversing my wrist and stabbing you in the throat and the stomach, as were the two taps on your back. Now, are you still up for trying your hand at defending?”
(Under other circumstances I’d complain. This works for what I asked for. I’m only changing one thing in my post.)
Fighting someone who also had two sais was so different from fighting someone with one knife, or one sword. The only real experience Sara had when using those weapons. Sure she had gotten lucky, and even snapped a sword or two, but this was different. Dk actually had skill. High skill, and all those times when it was her against her imagination, her imagination only could test herself on what her imagination could know, or think up. No matter how fast she was, her lack of experience kept getting in her way and frustrating her.
Sara’s motions were shifting, as she used DK to experiment, What looked like it came close. What wouldn’t work at all. What ended in leaving herself open, where the opponent in her imagination would take advantage or her. No doubt DK would think the same.
The practice became like a 3D puzzle in her mind. One side effected the motion of the other, and she was slowly gaining twists that she hadn’t thought of before. Even turning the sais to different positions in her hands, to determine how they best fit in with her different goals.
“Ohh! That is more like it.”
His encouragement triggered her to think back on that same combination. He’d shoved her attack to the side, and she’d allowed the sai to turn with the move so that it circled away from his, then went towards him. Her head tilted, and she found another opportunity to retry the motion, repeating the move, only to recide a warning.
“Careful now”
She took note of the resistance that was starting to show, when their sais connected. Turning to avoiding being caught until she had narrowly avoided stepping and tripping on her own tail. When all goes wrong, you can always blame a tail.
“Ha!”
Her eyes widened, in surprise as the sais tangled and she fell forward. Feeling the taps on her neck, stomach and back before her palms hit the floor, and she tumbled with the fall, about 8 feet away. Breathing deep, but not hard, as DK ran through his explanation.
Sara moved into a comfortable pose, Choosing to let the blade sides of her sais be near her arms with the rounded sides forward. “ready when you are.” Perhaps she could work out how to trip his feet up while he attacked.
