The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She had a younger sister that really cool. Wish I had a sister, or a family for that matter. He really was jealous of Lee even though she was complaining about her family trying to but in too much. He was going to say something like you are so lucky you have one, but decided against it, she was already looking down, and he didn’t want her to feel worse.
“Well I can play the violin, the piano, and the guitar.” Sam felt a little like he was bragging, but she asked so he was going to tell. “Used to have a lot of spare time.” The spare he was talking about consisted of him being confided in a small room in between missions, which lasted anywhere from a day to three weeks.
Just as Sam finished his meal he was ready to ask for the check hoping Lee would be good with going on a second date. He was about to ask when something caught his eye from outside the restaurant. It looked like a group of guys roughly in there twenties were beating up what looked to be like a younger kid.
Sam tuned his head making it obvious so Lee would catch on and see it. Hoping that she had a phone on her or something. The first thing that came to mind was a mugging, then Sam saw something, the kid had what looked like pointed ears. It had to be a mutant and he was in trouble.
Lee's smile widened when Sam told her what instruments he knew how to play. "Just piano and guitar myself," Lee told him with a slight shrug. "I'm out of practise, so not sure how good I am anymore, but I can still muddle my way through things."
Sam was finished eating now, and Lee was contemplating going back up for seconds - she hadn't really eaten anything in quite a while - when something seemed to catch Sam's attention outside.
Turning her own head, Lee looked outside to see what looked like a mugging right outside the restaurant window. That was odd; Lee knew this was far from being a great neighbourhood, but wouldn't most people do a mugging somewhere at least a bit less noticeable?
And then Lee got a better look at the victim, at his pointed ears, and realized what she was seeing was no mugging. Sitting up straighter, Lee's eyes darted to Sam. Had he seen the ears? Did he realize that was a mutant beating and not just a mugging? If he did, was he glad about that fact?
He did look rather uncomfortable about it, but that really didn't answer any of Lee's questions.
"This is the one thing I hate about New York," Lee grumbled as she pushed herself up from the table. "No one actually helps anyone."
Not that Lee really knew what she was going to do now that she was standing and making her way to the door. But the fact was, the Registration Act had been revoked as unconstitutional. And Lee had more energy at the moment than she knew what to do with, and would love to be able to feel like she had actually be able to do something good with her powers, since she hadn't felt that in a long time.

Sam watched in awe as Lee got up from the table and headed for the door, two things were going to happen, one she was going to help the mutant out, or she would help the gang out. If she were the type of person to help the gang out Sam would have no problem with leaving her that moment.
Worried about what Lee was about to do Sam was right behind her unbuttoning his shirt a bit so he would have more of his reach just incase something did happen. Sam threw out the question “what are you going to do?” her bravery amazed Sam not many women would go up to a crowd of people and do something. That was one thing he hated about humans, if it wasn’t happening to them they don’t care.
There were more than five of the angry humans beating the mutant up; frankly it made Sam sick to his stomach. Once they were out side, Sam yelled at the top his lungs inhaling on each word to make it louder and empathizes the fact that he wanted the humans attention, “WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?” They stopped and looked at Sam who’s blood was now boiling, standing right next to Lee he wasn’t sure if he was scaring her or not, he really hoped he wasn’t.
Sam was following her, was he? Lee didn't even stop to wonder why, whether it was out of some desire to try and 'protect' her, or what. "I don't know," Lee admitted, not looking back at him, and she really didn't know what she was going to do.
By this time, they had made it outside and were coming up to the men attacking the mutant. Before Lee was able to say or do anything, Sam was beside her, yelling at the men. That was not good. There were at least five, with how many and how they were bunched together, it was hard to get an exact count, though. And with the attention of all of them now on her and Sam, Lee was at a complete loss for what to do. If they were still focused on the other mutant, Lee could have taken them on one at a time, gotten them out of the way, or at least a couple of them before they knew what was going on. But now, with all of their eyes on her and Sam, and them moving toward her...
"Oh, look here," Lee heard one of the men say as he eyed her with a smirk. "We've got some more fun for when we finish here."
Lee's eyes hardened even as she saw a couple of the men moving closer. "Wrong, on both counts," she told him even as she tried to reign her anger in. She was going to have to be careful, pay attention, focus to her siphoning.
But the closest guy to her was already reaching out to her before she was able to say anything else, so instead she simply acted. Her hand shooting out, Lee grabbed the man's wrist as she sidestepped, twisting his arm behind his back before she shoved him aside, into the wall of the nearby building. Hopefully, Sam would at least be able to distract some of the men so they didn't all come at her at once.

Once again he was in awe at Lee, she took him down with out hesitation to. Sam just watched for a second at how graceful she was kicking but. Amazing was all Sam was thinking, but reality came to a second later when a guy who said he was going to have some with Lee, cam and knocked Sam to the ground. Sam got up rubbing his jaw saying, “Sorry guys she’s with me for the night.” As he said this he punched the guy picked him up and threw him. He slammed to the ground as one or two more came running at him.
Adrenaline was going and it was a good thing to cause it seemed that these guys were multiplying like crazy. Sam shouted to Lee, “You all right over there? I think these guys are multiplying like rabbits.” Sam threw up a smile he was having fun.
Sam ran and jumped away from Lee hoping that most of the guys would follow him. Some did others didn’t there were more than 10 fighting them now and it seemed like they were growing. Sam ended up getting backed into a corner “this is bad” Sam said to himself and then ran and jumped feet first into two guys that were close together. The toppled over, but Sam was in a bad spot the guys still standing were getting closer, and he was more worried about Lee than himself.
Even as their friend was hitting the wall, three other men were rushing toward her. This could most certainly still go very wrong, Lee knew, but it didn't look like all the men were focusing on her, the group seemed to be splitting its attention between her and Sam. With this many people involved, that was exactly what she needed.
The men seemed to be confident, at least at first based on the expressions. That changed fairly quickly as Le started moving faster, dodging blows the men were throwing at her that they wouldn't expect her to be able to. Not by an insane amount, Registration Act and Concentration Camps or not Lee didn't like outing herself to the entire world if she didn't have to, but she was definitely using her powers to her advantage.
Just like she was using her current strength to her advantage, her last blow not only knocking the guy back a good five feet, but, from the quick glance she allowed before turning her attention elsewhere, also knocked him out.
And then she heard Sam calling to her, asking how she was doing, which distracted her enough that she wasn't able to fend off the next series of blows coming her way. Doubling up and staggering backward a bit from the blow to her gut, Lee grunted in pain. She may be strong, she may be fast, but she was still small, and didn't have the body mass or pain tolerance to be able to take the punches from these guys and still stand her ground.
But Lee had to move. Just because they had hit her once, didn't mean the men surrounding her were going stop there. In fact, it just seemed to spur them on more. Gritting her teeth against the pain, Lee started moving again, staying out of reach of the men's hands while trying to deal with them. And trying to breath normally again after the fist to the gut. "I was till you disturbed me," Lee said through her still clenched teeth.

Sam was in trouble and worse Lee sounded like she got hit. She sounded in trouble, Sam clenched his fist starting to hit faster and stronger than he was before. Years and millions of dollars were spent on Sam learning how to fight. It worked up until the point he close enough to see Lee. She looked like she could take a hit because she was still moving fast, actually she was hitting strong to. Sam could see the power behind each punch, and for someone her size should not be able to generate that much power.
Sam was hit heard and hit the ground even harder. Then two to three guys jumped on him pinning him to the ground, punch then a kick, they were still hitting him. Sam was worried now he couldn’t see or hear anything, that’s when he activated his power. His eyes started to glow bright blue, he felt the guys on top of him shivering from the dramatic temperature drop. Sam got up easy with the guys not knowing what was going on. He stood tall and proud, he was a mutant and proud of it, Sam covered his fists in an icy shell giving him the offense he needed to end this fast. Sam was getting serious, he only hoped that Lee wouldn’t see him like this. She could be a mutant hater, Sam thought.
This was not going according to plan. Well, not that any of this had actually been planned, not even the actual go in and sit down to eat part. Not even the part, days earlier, where she had gone over to Tarin's apartment to deal with his 'little problem'. Nothing seemed to be going to plan for Lee lately, if she had even had a plan in the first place.
But the reality of the matter at hand was that these men attacking her were not going down as easily as they normally did in her experience. They kept getting back up and coming after her again, and there were more of them than she had ever had to deal with at once before. But at least Sam was there, helping her out, keeping all of them from coming at her at once. Sam...
Who Lee couldn't see there for a bit, despite his height, but before she was able to really get worried, before she could start fearing that he had left her to the fight on her own, he was there again, closer to her than he had been at the start of the fight.
But Lee was more than a little tired of this fighting. She only ever did it because she had to, not because she liked it or was good at it. They were getting slower, though, that was a good sign, while she still had enough energy coursing through her to move faster than them at their best.
And then, the timing was perfect. She had knocked two or three guys down, and only one was coming at her. Sidestepping his punch, Lee shot her own hand out. But rather than landing a punch of her own, her fingers wrapped around his throat, cutting off all but a trickle of air.
"That's enough!" Lee exclaimed. Her voice was loud enough to be heard by everyone in teh fight. Hopefully they would actually hear and pay attention to her words. "Get out of here before I really get mad." To emphasis her threat, Lee tightened her grip around the man's neck for a second or two before she shoved him away from her, hard. He went a good 10 feet before he completely hit the ground.

Sam was hitting harder and faster knocking the guys on their backside only to have them get up again, this was getting troublesome thought Sam. That’s when he heard it.
“That’s Enough.”
Sam punched a guy then turned his head to see Lee holding a guy by the throat and then throwing him ten feet. Sam’s jaw dropped, she was a mutant to no wonder she seemed so cool. That was another thing they now had in common.
“Get out of here before I get really mad”
She was unbelievable; Sam couldn’t believe the sweet girl he accidentally ran into would be a mutant, not to mention a very good fighter that must be her mutation. Her threat kind of worked the ones that saw the incident was running, there were still a few left though.
Sam felt it was only right to expose him self so the attention would be drawn on him opposed to her. He didn’t want her to really kill anyone. He lowered the temperature around the rest of his body, a bright ice covering his body; he gleamed in the light surrounding the alley. Sam said yelling making his voice as loud as it could get in the situation, “you want to pick on a mutant,” he picked up a guy who was charging him with a crowbar “ then pick on me.” He threw the guy at a dumpster and then froze the top shut.
one thing was for sure he was, he was going to talk to Lee a little bit more about what she could do once thi was all over.
The men that had been coming after her were working on getting back up when she had thrown the guy, so they had seen what she had done, the whole five foot three inches of her tossing a man much larger than her. That did what her strong punches and quick movements hadn't been able to: they ran.
So did a number of the men that had been around Sam. Not all of them, Lee could only guess that not everyone had seen her display, though by the slackness of his jaw, Lee was sure that he had seen exactly what she had done. Great.
And then, even as she was looking over at him, moving closer to help him out with those last couple idiots, Lee saw his body cover over with ice, saw him throw one of the guys in a dumpster, saw the lid freeze over. Lee stopped moving, just simply stood there staring toward Sam. The rest of the men finally decided that it was time to leave.
As they ran, Lee finally let her eyes follow after them, watching until they were out of sight. Once they were, rather than turn her gaze back to Sam, Lee took a deep breath and rubbed her hands over her face. "Guess we were both keeping a bit of a secret there, weren't we?" Lee asked, her voice slightly muffled by her hands.

The fight was over and the mutant they were fighting to protect was ling gone. Sam deactivated his mutation so the ice shattered into dust and vanished. Sam felt good not only did he use his powers for good but he also met a girl just like him, one that understands him.
“Guess we were both keeping a bit of a secret there, weren’t we?” asked Lee
Sam smiled as he was walking over to Lee with his hands awkwardly on the back of his head. “Guess so.” Was his response “ You have got to be one of the best fighters I have seen in a long time. Is that your ability?” Sam asked in curiosity hoping that they could now be more open with each other.
Lee still had her hands over her face when she heard Sam's reply to her question. Still, even though she couldn't see him, she could feel him getting closer.
Finally, she dropped her arms and opened her eyes to look at him, and saw the pure curiosity on his face. Lee shrugged. "I guess you could say that," she told him softly. "I think it's really more that no one expects that kind of speed or strength from someone like me."
Cause really, what guy would expect a girl easily a foot shorter and a hundred pounds lighter to be able to throw him around like that?
Glancing around, Lee took a deep breath and let it out in a bit of a sigh. "Guess we should go back and actually pay for our food, shouldn't we?" Lee asked, not that it was really that much of a question for her. Most of the people who worked there knew her well enough that even if she hadn't been against the idea of dining and dashing, it wouldn't be feasible.
Turning to make her way back to the restaurant, Lee continued, though she was speaking more to herself than to Sam at this point. "And I still have to grab the take out, wasn't planning on being out so long..."

Sam smiled at her “That is a complete understatement! I have seen guys twice the sizes of me try to do what you did. If I only just met you a second ago I would be scared.” He finished this with a joking smile, “And I am one that doesn’t scare easy”
"Guess we should go back and actually pay for our food, shouldn't we?" said Lee.
“Oh that’s right.” Sam forgot the bill completely; he would have walked out without a second thought if it weren’t for Lee. “Yea let’s go.”
"And I still have to grab the take out, wasn't planning on being out so long..."
Sam was a little taken back at this comment, “sorry I held you up, but I was having fun.” Sam smiled at this hoping that Lee was implying that Sam was wasting her time. “You must have a big appetite, that part of your mutation to?” Sam stopped for a second, and then kept walking, “so is it super strength and speed? Or should I just call you super woman?” Sam was hesitant in asking this question most mutants were not very open with their abilities, and the last thing he wanted was to distance her.
Sam grinned when he spoke, but as he mentioned the fact that if he had just met her now, rather than earlier before having dinner, that he'd be scared, Lee couldn't keep the hint of sadness out of her own smile. If that was something worthy of scaring him, then what would he think if he found out how she got that speed and strength? Sure, it might not be as bad, as strong, as it once was, but that didn't mean people liked her taking their energy.
They were just walking back into the restaurant when Sam commented about her getting take out. Lee hadn't fully realized she had said that out loud. "Uh, no," Lee said softly as they made their way to the front counter. "Though I was really hungry. It's for someone else. He's..." Lee trailed off, trying to figure out to explain the condition Tarin was in without actually explaining anything about it. "He's not exactly in any shape to cook right now, and I can't, so I was grabbing some food for him.
"And I'm not super anything," Lee whispered, not looking over at Sam as she leaned her elbows against the counter. "It's variable, dependant on how much energy I have." Lee glanced over at Sam at this point, not moving her head, just her eyes. "I haven't slept in three days because I've got so much energy."
That admission out in the open, Lee turned her eyes back to the person who was walking up to them. Lee recognized the young woman from her many visits months earlier, but didn't know her name.
"I believe Sam here was going to be paying for our meals," Lee told the woman, inclining her head to Sam beside her. "And I'm going to need to grab some take out, too."
"The usual?" She asked.
Lee couldn't help but smile as she shook her head slightly. It had to have been well over two months since she had last even come near this place. Had she and Tarin really come here that often that they still remembered what they ordered? Or had Tarin continued coming here, continued ordering the same things, while she had been gone?
"Nah, better double it," Lee said after another moment's thought. "He's going to be hungry."

She was talking about energy a not sleeping in three days. She doesn’t seem like she lost any sleep at all. He is defiantly going to have to talk to her about this. She also talked about a guy, one she seemed she cared for a lot. He must have been the guy she couldn’t talk about.
Sam and Lee were at the counter, and lee said that Sam was going to pay for it. Then Sam remembered what she was talking about, dinner. “Oh yea that’s right I did say I would pay.” Sam opened his wallet, and took look, he only had hundreds left. Sam was a little hesitant bout paying with a hundred, he was afraid he would seem like a total tool. Lee was a classy girl she defiantly would not be impressed with this at all.
Pulling a hundred out blushing a bit he said “Sorry all I have is a hundred, why don’t you put the carry out on the bill to?”
