In central park various people strolled aimlessly, talked about the weather and took time to relax out of their busy schedule. In this area of New York it looked as if nothing out of the ordinary had ever went on. It was almost as if it was now in a tranquil state of being, allowing people to get a well deserved break from their lives.

Today was an oddly cheerful day in the park with the sun shining brightly as well as butterflies flying aimlessly amidst the flowers. If one looked at one of the patches of the multi colored plants they would find what it seemed to be a fox, eagerly chasing after each butterfly with honest playfulness. The Fox eventually stumbled just as it was about to chase another butterfly, landing promptly on her tail. She whimpered a little but stopped when the butterfly decided to rest upon her nose causing her to look at it with child like wonder.

The Fox then watched all the other various butterflies flutter around her, yipping at them happily. For her this was the most relaxing thing she had done since she had gotten back to the mansion after the camps. The little fox, better known as Ruby found it to be very soothing to sit amongst the flowers, watching the butterflies. It took her mind off of the more stressful things in her life right now.

Things like where her sister kept going and why Emerald wouldn’t tell her anything about it. It was almost as if the older girl was hiding something from her, like a big secret keeper. It wasn’t fair in Ruby’s opinion! They were sisters they were supposed to share everything with each other that’s the whole point of being family. However, when Ruby asked about it the wolf girl only told her sister that, she shouldn’t worry about her, but that was far to hard. Being the thinker of the Lupin sisters, Ruby had a habit of overthinking things and with that she thought about bad things along with some of the good things. For now though, the fox just needed time to get away from her fellow mansion dwellers and clear her head.

Ruby was still in her fox form as she laid down in the flowers, looking around for a brief moment before closing her eyes, intending on relaxing a little before she had to go back to the mansion.

"Come on, Amp. Tell me!"

"There's nothing to tell. I'm fine."

>Amp, I know you better than that. Something's been bugging you, and I want to know what.<

"Vibe, relax. I'm telling you, there is nothing wrong with me."

"Are you sick? Is your sugar off? Need to go destroy something? C'mon, help me out here."

Amp rolled her eyes, and ignored her sister's last question. The petite pair wandered through Central park, each in different stages of finishing a lunch of sushi. As they walked, they drew numerous odd looks, mainly due to the fact that Amp responded to Vibe's alternated questions, either spoken without moving her lips when her electronic voice spoke, or not speaking aloud at all.

Eventually they came to a park bench near one of the flower patches. Amp plopped into the seat with a huff.

"Vibe, read my lips. I. Am. Fine."

Vibe placed one hand on her hip, and tapped her foot. >You're the one that reads lips, Genius,< she replied silently. Again Amp rolled her green eyes. She held her arms up and out in a wide gesture.

"I'm just enjoying not being behinds stone walls, is all. We can go turn something to rubble later tonight. Maybe we can even get together with Isabel and go find some badges to play with. But for now, I'm enjoying the sunshine."

To emphasize her words, she stretched out lazily on the bench. With a skeptical headshake, Vibe thwopped down next to her sister. She popped a sake into her mouth and munched away. She knew, like someone knows what color black is, that her sister was lying.

The little fox girl's ears perked up when she heard someone close to her. She glanced up at the bench that was right infront of the flower patch and found to familar red heads sitting there. A tiny yip of joy escaped from the foxes muzzle as she scampered towards the bench. Ruby had been wanting to see how Amp and Vibe were doing now that they were together once again. The site of the two sisters being together again made Ruby's heart swell with absolute happiness, making her already improving day, better.

Ruby ran up to the girls from beneath the bench, tumbling outwards and looking up at them in fox form. The Fox looked at the girls with an adorable. 'I missed you so much how was your day' Look a dog would often give its master after they got home. She particularly looked at Amp with those concerned green eyes of hers, Nudging the older girls hand slightly with her nose/

Vibe jumped slightly as a little red fox with big ears tumbled at their feet. It looked familiar, but she couldn't place where she'd seen it before.

Amp, on the other hand, recognized the fox kit right away. She responded to the nudge and reached down to pick her up.

"Heya, Squirt! How ya been? Haven't see you in months."

A confused frown graced Vibe's face. "Squirt?" A moment later recognition replaced confusion. "Ooooh, the foxgirl! That's right." She reached over to scratch the kit's ears. "How ya doin', Squirt? Hungry?" She held out a sake, a salmon-wrapped sushi bit.

The little fox was happy when she was recognized by her friends, allowing herself to be scooped up by the older girl. She wiggled happily in Amps grip, glad to see she had enough strength to pick her up. Ruby gently took the salmon from Vibes open hand, licking it eagerly as she looked around. The Young fox looked frantically and almost comically around before looking up at Amp and Vibe. The kit had a look on her face asking,’ Do you have any more?’

Despite this though, Ruby nuzzled her muzzle against Amp, looking up at her protectively. For a moment the Foxling attacked all ferocious trying to attack a passing fly as it threatened to land near the girls. She then looked back up at them , tail curling around her body. Ruby was waiting for further instructions from her two larger playmates before she did anything else. The Kit looked so happy she was about ready to explode with the feeling.


“Arf!” Ruby exclaimed, wiggling happily in their grip. "I have been fine Miss Amp! How are you doing Miss Amp, Miss Vibe?"

Ruby spoke that in perfect english but from the way she was sitting it looked as if she was a talking doll that the girls were holding. A rather ingenious plan by the fox if she did say so herself.

(OOC: Sorry for the delay; busy week. )

Ruby scarfed the sushi down so quickly, Vibe chuckled and let her have the rest. She could get more later, and really she'd had enough carbs already anyway. The redheaded pair laughed a bit at the little fox's antics. If she was trying to look vicious, she was failing miserably.

Amp responded to the nudges as if Ruby were a kitten or puppy, and scratched behind her ears and under her chin.

"I have been fine Miss Amp! How are you doing Miss Amp, Miss Vibe?"

Vibe snorted in amusement at the girl's exuberance. "You sure are full of energy today."

"It's the fresh air," Amp replied. "We missed it. Didn't we Squirt? So what have you been up to Ruby? Keepin' your sister in line?"

>'Sisters',< Vibe corrected silently. Amp blinked and looked at her questioningly. >She's got two sisters. Remember that pale girl skulking around the Infirmary? The one with the dark octopus-tentacle things that all the doctors avoided?<

Amp formed her lips in an understanding, 'Ooooh'.

To Ruby the raw fish seemed like a gift from heaven and she mucnhed it down quickly, eagerilly showing her gratitude by her tail swishing back and forth contently. The foxling rather enjoyed the scratching of her head however, and made sure to lean into them slightly, even after she was done munching.

Ruby had listened to everything Amp and Vibe said about her having energy as well as being back in the fresh air. When she heard Amp mention her keeping her sister in line, the little foxes ears drooped a little, tail now only beating to a steady metrenome.

"Emmy is...diffrent now. The camps really effected her and they made her more distant with me as if she has something to hide. I sorta worry about her because she wont tell me whats wrong." Ruby replied, green eyes downcast.

She was really worried about her elder sisters well being and really wanted to help but unfortunately the older girl would not let her in. The fox girl brightened up a little trying to keep her positive demeanor about her.

"Though, being outside is alot better than being in those stupid camps!" Ruby explained enthusiastically, leaping about between the sisters. "No one will be able to catch me again!" Ruby growled standing on Vibes leg acting ferocious again.

"Emmy is...diffrent now. The camps really effected her and they made her more distant with me as if she has something to hide. I sorta worry about her because she wont tell me whats wrong."

"I know you what you mean." Vibe stared pointedly at Amp. The shorter-haired twin rolled her eyes.

"I'm sure she has her reasons," came the snippy retort.

"Though, being outside is alot better than being in those stupid camps! No one will be able to catch me again!"

The girls watched in amusement as Ruby bounded back and forth, attempting to act ferocious.

"Whoop! Hold it, Squirt!" Vibe reached out to keep the little fox from tumbling backwards off of her lap. "Take it easy, Half Pint. I think your teeth need to get a bit bigger before you take on the world again."

When Ruby was caught she looked up at the older girl with a slight pout, tail curling around her body.

"Thats not fair you caught me." The little one replied.

Ruby thought for a moment and wiggled into Vibes arms closer, not minding the closeness of another. It kinda reminded her of Emmy so it was a nice little thing for her. The little fox girl glanced over at the two girls.

"So Have you two been doing well since the registration thing? Have you been having lots of fun since then?" Ruby asked with an inquistive bark at the end.

Vibe didn't like animals much, any of them, but knowing that this particular critter was actually a young girl, she let Ruby continue snuggling. Maybe she had an easier time because Ruby was intelligent, and could converse with you. Animals didn't converse. They just lay there. And beg. And shed.

>Okay, think girl, not fox. Mutant foxgirl is fine.< She even scratched at Ruby's ears.

"So Have you two been doing well since the registration thing? Have you been having lots of fun since then?"

Amp shrugged. "Not a whole lot, I suppose. Though just getting a decent wardrobe and haircut enough to make my day. Shopping is always fun."

>Especially when the sales clerks can be convinced everything is free.< She and Vibe shared a sly smirk.

Aloud Vibe asked, "How 'bout you? Putting on any weight yet? All of you were skin and bones when you came back."

Little Ruby was very happy that both girls seemed to be settling back into normal lives. She remembered Miss Amp when she was at the camps and she was so sad but now the girl seemed much happier than she was before. Ruby glanced down at her tail that still had some old rips and tares on it from the camps, wrapping it around her body self conciessly.

"I have gained most of my weight back from when I was in the camps, Its because I have been eating all the yummy food Emerald brings home for me!" Ruby tail swished happily at the thought. "Thats the one thing thats good about her leaving the mansion sometimes is the fact she goes and gets lots of good food"

Ruby's ears twitched a little bit getting distracted when she heard people speaking as they walked by, she started listening to the conversation but then the words. 'Stinking filthy camp mutants should have stayed in the camps.' Reached her ears and her ears drooped immediately, tail subconsciously curling around her body making the scars on it visible again.

"I dont like mean people." Ruby sighed, green eyes looking up at both girls, her eyes filled with sadness.

Amp frowned slightly. "How often does she leave?"

<"And why?"> Vibe shielded that thought even from Amp. She knew very little about Ruby's sister, but it sounded like Emerald was pulling the same thing as her sister, and trying to hide things from Ruby. Could the Camp have really done that much damage to Amp and Emerald? So much so that they no longer trusted even their sisters?

A pair of passersby passed them, muttering about mutants. Vibe heard their remarks clearly. Ruby all but curled in on herself.

"I dont like mean people."

Any other time she would have let Amp know, and let her deal with it in her normal fashion. But this time, she decided to handle matters on her own.

A soft, rhythmic tune carried to the people's ears. Abruptly the stopped in their tracks. Vibe sneered and started to say something truly vicious, but stopped remembering Ruby could hear.

"Meh! Go hug a tree. And climb it while you're at," she muttered. Promptly and obediently, the pair headed for the nearest tall plant, which turned out to be a pine tree, and curled themselves around it, in spite of the sharp needles.

Rolling her eyes, Amp turned back to Ruby. "Neither do we Squirt. But they'll get theirs. Sooner than they may think." A hint of viciousness snuck into the redhead's tone.

The young fox girl glanced up at Vibe who seemed to be a little bit worried about her own sister at the moment. It was just a feeling the girl got from Vibe and it was almost the same as her own feelings about Emerald. Ruby's head tilted slightly when she heard Amps vicious statement about the mean people getting theres. The girl almost sounded like Emerald when she said that and quite frankly Ruby found that rather eerie.

"You...sound like Emmy when you say that." Ruby Told Amp, unable to keep slight concern from entering her tone. "Emmy is gone alot now but she always comes back to make sure she says good night to me. Its not fair though, she always says that I wont understand whats going on right now and that she didn't want me to be dragged into her bad mood."

Ruby pouted a little, looking rather hurt by her sisters deniance of letting her in at any time. She straightened up and attempted To look like a fully grown fox and not just a gangly adolescent fox. Ruby then saw one of the butterflies from before as it fluttered down, landing on the tip of her nose. The Little fox was unable to hide her utter glee as her tail wagged back and forth. It was a friendly little Butterfly and it flitted off Ruby's nose in between the two sisters.

"You...sound like Emmy when you say that. Emmy is gone alot now but she always comes back to make sure she says good night to me. Its not fair though, she always says that I wont understand whats going on right now and that she didn't want me to be dragged into her bad mood."

Vibe narrowed her eyes at Amp. The latter noticed and glared back.

"Forget it, Squirt," she said, irritation creeping into her tone. "You sis is, what? Seventeen? Eighteen? She's probably just got a boyfriend, and doesn't want to bring her baby sis along. I mean, aren't you interested in guys yet? Would you really want your older sister messing up your date?"

Vibe snorted. "A date. Right."

Amp's frown deepened, and she began tapping one foot on the ground. The expression softened slightly at Ruby's antics. But it was still obvious that Ruby was not the only having sister problems.

Ruby thought for a moment about Emerald having a boyfriend and not telling her, something tottally unlike the wolf girl. The fox knew her older sister kept secrets but the thought of her older sister keeping her from meeting someone who made her happy was a little far fetched. However, it would explain Emerald's behavour as of late to a certain degree.

"I suppose Emmy could have a boyfriend, it wouldnt surprise me if she didnt want to show him to me if she thought I wouldnt like him or something. Though, I thought we trusted each other more than that." Ruby responded with a deep sigh ears drooping again.

Now she really was depressed.
