The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She was getting used to ignoring his machismo stuff. Something about Torq's personality just brought out her less than pleasant side. She knew it wasn't an empty threat on her part. She would and could force the good oxygen away from his body, leaving him to breathe in the same muck... leaving him to get dizzy and eventually pass out. A much less painful black out than he was used to for sure.
Usually she was able to hear things before they snuck up on her, but she must've actually been debating how fast to make him pass out. Before she could get a word in edgewise they were all but surrounded.
"Maybe it would be a good time for you to use your powers to get out of here. No reason for you to get caught in the center of this. If you wish to meet up somewhere then meet me in the woods more towards the center of the park. Around the jogging path."
Normally she would wisp away, but today was by no means normal. She scoffed at yet another man-bravado thing he said. She raised her hands in semi-compliance to the police, following Torq's lead. She murmured so only Torq could hear, never taking her eyes off the police, "Are you kidding? In for a penny, in for a pound. We're apparently accomplic--."
But she was cut off by his frantic shouts of, "Not again! Not now. I can't black out right now. This isn't good."
Ghost's head snapped to where Torq had been standing and her eyes widened. It wasn't her. His flesh began to split and if possible her eyes widened even more. It definitely wasn't her.
Torqueo's split was on the scale of a ten car pile up when it came to eye magnetism. It was sick. She wanted to look away, but like the policemen she stood there and watched with dumbfounded disgust. Ghost fought back the urge to vomit. She could tell from the sounds Torq made and this gross display of flesh had to be all kinds of awful.
It was the same fascination and sheer revulsion that probably kept the police from shooting.
And then there were two. So that's why the wings were so drastically different... and they seem to know each other.
The white-haired one spoke civilly toward the police only to be rebuffed with a simple, "GET ON THE GROUND MUTIE!" They really needed some new lines.
Ghost shook her head forcing her attention away from the two men that had once been one. They were in a dire situation, now was not the time to be dazzled by man flesh and mutations. Except that one of those beings had other ideas. Instead he grabbed Ghost and held her close to him with a wicked smile on his face. Her girlish shout of, "Kyaaaaa!" wasn't acting nor was the struggling. Her brain wasn't working properly. If she had been thinking she would have just gone incorporeal, but she wasn't used to these types of situations.
"Drop your guns or I snap her neck!" Ghost was by no means strong, but she fought harder now. "Yes, I know you think shes a mutie too, but think about it. If she was would I have had to save her little rear earlier from that man. I think not. Now drop your guns or she dies. Besides you've just seen our whole bodies rapidly grow back. Do you think a few bullets would hurt us. It would just piss me off."
That wasn't true of course. But Ghost's struggling and lack of any apparent power did make them wonder if they were accomplices. He seemed so willing to kill. She seemed truly threatened. It went from a mutant apprehension plan to a hostage situation. Only Ghost was struggling too much to make for any kind of a clean shot.
The white-haired one had moved back beside Goth and Ghost and spoke in a low and rapid tone, "Don't worry. Goth won't really do it. We just need to get out of this mess we are in and then we can explain everything."
"The hell you are!" She shouted. Even she wasn't sure if it was for dramatic effect or real. Her eyes became wet as she looked out at the officers. Why couldn't she just meet a nice "normal" winged boy?

at prospect of her being a normal human that might be endanger the police lowered their weapons and even tossed them on the ground. Goth smiled lightly to himself. He thought about making them do something ridiculous like dance like a chicken but Christian took over like always.
"Now get into your cars and drive away. Surround the park so we can't leave if you must. But leave our sight... I don't know what my friend here will do but he most likely really will snap her neck if you don't.", Christian spoke as if he were speaking to anyone on anormal occasion as if they weren't just ready to shoot them.
"D*** straight I'll snap he rneck like a bloody twig.", Goth was only half acting as he yelled out.
The police unsure of how to handle this and reluctant to leave a girl in his grasp finally gave in. Only because they indeed would have the park surrounded. Most likely they would end up mounting snipers to try and take out this threat.
Slowly the pulled away as they got ont heir radios to send in back up to surround them. Who knew who else they were trying to reach.
As soon as they were gone Goth let go of the girl and let his ebony lips twist only slightly into a smirk, "Nice actin girlie."
Christian though just shook his head at his counterparts stupidity, "This isn't the time. We have to find a sewer and get out of here or we will be killed you idiot. I really do wish these wings of ours could make us fly."
"We know your an air elemental and I thank you for not whisping away. We would have been completely screwed if you had. I know you still can if you wish to but I am asking you to please not leave us. I know traveling through a sewer isnt exactly the best way to travel but it can and will keep the two of us from being killed unless you have a better Idea. We need to talk to you but now really isn't the time. We do not have long."
She couldn't believe that the police were leaving. She thought that they didn't negotiate with terrorists or whatever - at least that's how it was in the movies. Maybe she was just paranoid, but they had to be setting up some kind of ambush or something.
As soon as they were gone the one called Goth let go of her, though his smile still made her want to slap him, "Nice actin' girlie."
Ghost stepped back, giving herself a good distance so that she wouldn't be easily grabbed again.
"This isn't the time." The white-haired one said, "We have to find a sewer and get out of here or we will be killed, you idiot. I really do wish these wings of ours could make us fly."
Ghost used the side of her thumb to wipe under her eyes. They were moist... why were they so moist? He obviously wasn't done talking so she let him finish, but he had given her an idea.
"...I am asking you to please not leave us. I know traveling through a sewer isn't exactly the best way to travel but it can and will keep the two of us from being killed unless you have a better Idea. We need to talk to you but now really isn't the time. We do not have long."
She stared blankly at the two of them for a moment processing what he said. She wasn't able to do much before, but perhaps she wasn't entirely useless now.
"How much do you weigh?" She sized them both up mentally estimating things in her mind. The white one, she wasn't worried about - it was the Goth fellow.

Christian wasn't a stupi dman and knew right away what she was thinking given her power. A slight smile flashed over his lips as he looked over at goth and then back to Ghost.
"We both weigh about 200lbs each. Without the wings it would be 155lbs... with them though we are a bit heavier. Thats a piece mind you.", Spoke Christian as politely as ever.
"Whats that bloody matter. Did you not hear him. We have to start searching for an exit. D*** daft people. I swear. If we weren't in such a rush I might smack the two of you.", While he spoke his eyes searched the ground. He wasn't a stupid man by any means. Exactly the opposite. But at times he couldn't see the simplest solution if it was right in the front of his face. He was more used to thinking of things that would quickly resolve something as he had a second ago. Who cares if it was only a half thought out plan.
Christian ignored Goth and just looked back to Ghost, "Keep in mind. It won't be long until they most likely have snipers set up around the park ready to shoot us on sight. Not only that we are also going to have to get up high enough that any helicopters won't spot us. I believe if you can get us up high enough... we can help with speed. We have never met one such as yourself so I do not know the power you hold within. Just a rough guess. Though we can't fly ourselves if you lifted us like I believe you were thinking of... we can still flap these wings of ours..."
"What in the blood 'ell are you two goin on abo...", Finally it flashed into Goths head. Instead of feeling like a bloody moron like he should he just changed what he was saying, "Well lets not stand here... lets get bloody goin."
There were 2 people. That was her max. Heavier than anything she'd ever tried before also, but she could take her weight out of the equation. The surface area of the wings would definitely help, but the hardest part was definitely the starting.
She inhaled sharply and just like that she was incorporeal like a 50% transparent version of herself. Her molecules were loosely associated, she could take any form, but the only form her brain could make sense of was her own. Anything else was entirely disorienting. She was now light as air and would be swept along with any great gust so she really only had to worry about the two. In fact, while incorporeal her feet no longer touched the ground. She truly looked like her namesake: a ghost.
"Okay." She breathed. "It's time for us to fly so spread 'em." This was going to take everything she had. "You're going to have to steer otherwise this is going to be a bumpy ride." She focused on the two in front of herself.
For a moment the wind in the area died entirely like a great inhalation. She felt the particles, different molecules in gaseous form. She drew strength from the air... it was so pure here compared to the city. She excited the molecules, summoned them, made them more dense below the wings and lower pressure above for the sake of lift.
There was no gentle breeze or soft trickle of air. Near gale force winds started from basically nothing and only grew stronger. She thought of birds and how their wings cut through the air. How when they took flight they pushed the air along their wings to give them lift. She tried to emulate the angles as she had felt them before. If she could just get them off the ground she knew that the wings would allow them to glide and soar.

At first the wind was a bit strange. They werent used to it this strong. But as she instructed both of them spread their wings and imitated what they had seen birds do. The wind pressed under their wings and itwas exilerating. Christian stood there amazed at the feeling of the wind rushing across his feathers. This truely would be something he never forgot.
Goth on the hand just wanted to hurry and get the hell out of there. A sudden though occured to him. He folded his wings and tried to take a few steps back but the wind pushing aginst him wouldnt let him move very much. He shouted over the wind.
"Just take him. It'll be easier. I'll find a sewer and get out that way. Besides if we are all together its more of a chance we will get caught. Just take him and go!"
Goth of course wanted this for his own reason. He could see just by the fact that they hadnt lifted off yet that this was going to be a strain on her if they both went anyway. He wanted to get away from Christian if just for a little while. Just a little while of freedom that he could do what he wanted for once.
When Goth bowed out, Ghost was relieved to be sure. The decrepit wings didn't offer nearly as much lift as the fully feathered ones and now that her attention could focus solely on one being the wind intensified finally granting the lift needed to start the process.
"Jump!" She gasped and the sound cut through the wind like it wasn't even there. This was going to be ugly, but it would definitely succeed now that there was only one.
The jump was the last bit of initial lift they needed. A few flaps higher and they would be in business soaring straight out of central park. The air buffeted the wings rather turbulently at first, once less force was required she was able to smooth things out better.
"Are you okay?" She asked from nearby again the words were clear as if she weren't speaking them through a din of rushing air. "I mean... you are one person aren't you? How far apart can you be?"

He almost didn't hear her but not because of the wind. The excitement of finally flying was almost to much for him to take. A slight appeard on his lips as he soard through the air. His wings flapped now and again though he wasnt sure if they needed to. He was tilting his wings just enough to allow him to soar. He wondered if he lept from a building if he could glide like this but he didnt want to risk it and find out the hard way that he couldnt.
"I'm great! The most we know is fifty miles. Thats the most we have made it before our bodies were forced into one again. HIs body will find mine when it is time for us to be one once more. Yes we are one but we are not. We are both just half of the young mans soul that you met already. While we have a second to talk. Please do not tell young Ontieno about us. I'm not sure if he would believe you or not. Goth might try and make him not believe you. He cant hear us yet in his htoughts but he can get vague impressions from us. I am who stopped him from destroying that mans throat... Goth was the reason he even started to. Hopefully Goth finds us quickly. I do not trust him out in the world alone."
Meanwhile back in the park Goth was running around looking for an entrance to the underground. It didn't take him long to find one and slip down into the filthy passage. He ran along the passage for a while passing ladders that would take him to the world above. FInally he heard what could have only been cars passing over sewer covers. He walked a few more blocks before finally climbing a ladder and pushing one up long enough to view out. He couldnt see any sign of the park nor did he see any cars that might crush him as he climbed out. This street wasnt a main street yet it still had some tall buildings. A bit more runned down. He must have went farther then he thought he had.
As he climbed out he realized that this wasn't a very good neighborhood. It might have been the run down buildings. It might have been the people he seen. Who knows. As he climbed out he heard a few of the people say something about a mutant. A few people watched him. A few started to trail behind him as he walked down the street.
Finally he seen what he was looking for. A dark alley way that he might have some fun in. He turned and walked down it and as expected soon after came two of the guys that had been watching and following him.
"Mutie! What are you doing in our neighborhood. This isn't a safe place for one your kind boy!"
Goth turned around and a wicked smile coursed over his lips. He just tilted his head and looked at the men. One was now holding a knife. He looked from the glistening metal to the man holding it.
"Well then. Teach me a lesson.", The words came out as his deep bass voice started to crack with excitement. He hadnt had a chance to play since the days in the mountains when he hunted for the food that otieno ate.
<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<< Once again if you are light of the stomache stop reading now. I am going to go into some details that some might find disturbing.
The men both came at him as one. The man with the kinfe lunged his blade towards the gut of Goth as the other man came from the side and sent his foot towards Goths side.
Goth though moved over just out of range of the boot but not the knife thrust. Instead he caught the mans hand and twisted his wrist making the man drop the knife. As it fell Goth caught it as he dropped to one knee. He came up with the knife and drove the knife into the owners stomache.
As the knife sank in he felt the adranaline course through him. He was going to take two mens lives today. The first of what would be many. He could feel the skin part open as the knife sank in to the hilt. The man screamed in pain but Goth ignored it as he pulled the knife free. That man was done, though Goth wasnt done with him. The other man would have to come first.
He stood and looked at the second man. He wasn't so sure he wanted a fight any more and turned to run. Goth just msiled as he took off after him. The man didnt even make it to the alley entrance before goth caught up and ducked down low. The knife roughly slashed the mans achile tendon and sent him sprawling to the ground.
Goth grabbed the man by the shoulder and slammed the knife into the back of the neck of the man. He could feel the spinal chord snap as the knife dove home. This man would have to be played with first before he passed from this life.
He turned the man over and used the knife to drag him back to the first man. The man was just laying there holding his stomache and crying. Goth just smiled as he looked down at the man. The poor man.
"I have children. We both do. Please. Let me go. I won't tell anyone. Please." the man begged through his tears.
"You should have thought about that before you decided to pick on a poor little mutie. Shouldnt you have. Atleast your kids wont have to live with a father that is a bully huh."
Goth just smiled as he bent down and yanked the knife from the back of the mans neck. He looked at the first man as he slide the knife through the gut of the one laying before him. The knife cut through the skin and muscle easily enough.
He just watched the mans eyes as the man was forced to watch his friend be sliced open. Watched the mans eyes as he watched his friends organs be pulled from his body.
The man stopped moving long before Goth was finished playing with his insides. Goth looked at the first man who was turning a pale white from loss of blood.
"Oi. I'll make you a deal. Eat a small part of your friends small intestine and I'll let you live. Eat it and you can go to a hospital... if you can make it that far."
The man almost vomited at the thought but he had no choice. He nodded his head and slowly as Goth started to cut off a small chunk for him. When Goth held it out the man quickly took it from his hands and shoved it in his mouth. He swallowed pretyt much without chewing.
Goth watched and just smiled. As the man asked if he could go now he slowly shook his head.
"Sorry. Not yet. I can't have you blabbing about me can I."
"I wont tell! I promise i wont tell! please just let me live."
Goth nodded his head and just smiled. He walked over to the man and grabbed his right hand. He slammed the knife down cutting off the mans pinky. He repeated this over and over until the man had no fingers on either hand. He wouldnt be writing about what had happened. He looked at the man and just laughed lightly. He would bleed to death. He had made a promise. He used part of the mans friends guts and tied it around each of the mans arms. Slowly the blood stopped pumping out of him. The man just laid there now half conscious.
Goth walked away not much later. He had tossed the man out of the alley and into the street. Before leaving he had taken the dead mans jacket and now had his wings hidden underneath. He had used a puddle of water to wash away the blood from his hands and face. He now had a knife tucked into his jeans and a tongue hanging around his neck, tucked into the jacket.
Now it was time to find christian and the girl. Now it was time to return to normal.
Christian looked ecstatic. His movements and facial expressions made her worry dissipate somewhat and allowed her to look around for herself. She wouldn't consider herself flying. No, in her case it was more like riding the wind. She was merely gaseous particles herself and falling into the wind shear was exhilarating - they were literally going wherever the wind would take them. Now that they were high enough to catch the wind shear she wasn't propelling Christian much if at all. Infact, she wasn't even propelling herself, merely maintaining a safe distance between the two of them - not too far, but not too close.
"I'm great! The most we know is fifty miles." She heard Chrsitian's reply to her previous question. "Thats the most we have made it before our bodies were forced into one again. His body will find mine when it is time for us to be one once more..."
Interesting. Very Interesting. Also the part about souls was interesting. It made her contemplative. Splitting souls was one thing, even affirming the existence of a soul was very thought provoking. Not to mention the fact that it was this boy's soul that had mutated... or at least manifested through his mutation.
"While we have a second to talk. Please do not tell young Ontieno about us. I'm not sure if he would believe you or not...."
"I'm not sure what I'd say anyway..." Ghost replied, watching as the scenery changed from large buildings to smaller ones. She could really notice a dragging feeling on Christian's body. It was a human form and not aerodynamic or specifically built for flying. If he were shaped like a plane or bird she probably wouldn't have to boost him at all. She also wondered if he was cold. They were rather high up. The air wasn't too thin, but it must be chilly. She would know when she became corporeal again, but as she was now she couldn't tell.
"Hopefully Goth finds us quickly. I do not trust him out in the world alone."
"I don't either. What are you guys some kind of yen and yang? I don't ... feel comfortable around Goth, but here with you..." She trailed off. What was she going to say there? She settled for the obvious, "you don't scare me like Mr. Yang."
She noticed that their supply of landing grounds were becoming limited. They had probably gone far enough now. Finally she saw what looked like a helicopter pad at the top of a lone tall building - it looked like a hotel. Again this wasn't going to be pretty, but the higher the landing the softer she felt that she could make it. She pointed it out to Christian.
"Think we can make it there? We're kinda running out of options." Traveling by air was rather fast. "and.. before Goth comes back and you become... one. I have something I'd like you to know. But first... land."
She adjusted the pressures to take the winged man out of the stream of air, he fell a bit faster than expected at first. Either she was more fatigued than she though or he was heavier than she remembered. Again the winds buffeted his body rather turbulently. She buffered their angle of descent rather marvelously for a novice. But in the end he would have to find a way to stop his own momentum. All she could do was get him to the rooftop helicopter pad's spongy rubber mat.

They came in quickly but he wasnt concerned. As he fell he spread his wings out wide. As he did so he screamed out to her.
"Just let me drop now. My wings will catch wind under it and slow me much like a parachute."
As he spoke he felt the wind that rapidly assult him die down to just the normal wind that one would feel as they fell fromt he sky. His wings caught the air and true to his word they acted like a natural parachute. Catching him and dropping him much slower to the rubbery mat. He landed on one knee and his wings folded behind him. He looked up at her and smiled lightly.
His gaze went to her and he couldn't stop smiling, "That was exilerating. I have never... That was... Amazing. Thank you so much."
He stopped himself for a moment to contain his excitement and soon his face returned to its calm demeanor.
"Now for your questions. First. Yes we are some type of yen and yang. I am everything that is pure in the soul of Otieno. He on the other hand is everything that is evil. He has no conscious right now for I am not with him. Please whatever you needed to speak to me about do it quickly so that I may summon his half of us back into ourself. I can do it easily from up here. I should be able to drag him from wherever he is... or whatever he is doing."
"I just... I wanted you to know that I was headed to Zei-veeher's Mansion School for Special... uhm.." She really couldn't remember the name of that place. "Look... i was headed to stay at a school full of good people. If you want to keep being a concience, I think you should encourage Tor... Torq... or Ost... Ontien..." why were all of these names so hard to say!? "If you want him to be good you should surround him with good people."
She felt like that flopped horribly. She became corporeal slowly as if she ached. Finally she exhaled and sat down on the rubbery tarmac, turning to face the other way.
"You can call him. That's all I wanted to say." She would let the one man decide.

Sadly he looked down at her as she sat down, "Ey I wish I could. But it is ultimately the boys choice. I can't influence him that much. Perhaps though... you may be able to. If he makes snide remarks after we rejoin... it'll mbe beacuse goth will know our conversation and what happened to me just as I will know what he has been up to. Give him a few minutes to adjust to being whole agian before judging him. He doesnt know the actions that either of us has done but we will know each others. And his body may react to what one of us would do. Atleast for a moment."
He stopped talking then and walked to the edge of the building. His wings spread wide open and he just let his mind float away. He could feel the tugging of the rejoining himself but he refused to let himself be pulled away. Otieno needed to stay here. Needed to be near someone sane and good.
Goth felt the urging pull and since his business was done he started to let it pull him. Before he let himself start to slip though he removed the tongue from around his neck and shoved it and the knife into a small compartment in his pants that was all but hidden. There were a few treasures there including teeth from different animals he had slain over his life time. Then he let the pull take him. He felt himself being rushed straight at Christian.
Christian felt Goth slam into him. He felt the body melding together. Felt the good wing criple and become a black mess. That always saddened him. There was nothing he could do about it though and his last thoughts were ones of terror as their minds meshed together and he learned of Goths play toys.
Blackness crept away from him. He was on his back now. Otieno blinked a few times as he looked around. His clothing this time were the robes. It was always different. He kept them on for now knowing he had nothing else to wear. Then for some strange reason he felt the urge to vomit. He wasnt sure why but all of a sudden he was on his knees letting the contents of his stomache out. This hadnt happened before. Tears were flowing freely from his eyes. He was confused. What was happening.
He looked up after a moment and seen Ghost. Maybe she could tell him what had happened to him. He slowly pushed himself up and looked at her for a long moment, "What. What happened. Where are the police and the park?" Utter confusement was apparent in his voice. And fear.
She sat facing away from TA while he rejoined. She had seen the split and she didn't think she had the stomach for more flesh and guts. She heard him retch behind her and that didn't help her stomach. Did that mean that something bad happened? That Goth had done something vile enough that Christian and even Otieno would vomit at even the subconscious realization of what had been done?
The retching stopped, but the smell hung flaccidly in the air despite the strong breeze she conjured to wisp it down wind. She heard him moving around, and finally he called out to her.
"What. What happened. Where are the police and the park?" It was nice.. to know he was human, capable of fear and regret. She turned slowly, moisture in her own eyes.
"We're safe here... for now." She promised that she wouldn't tell, and she knew that ultimately the decision was TA's... just like Christian said it was. "You're big fat jerk to black out on a girl, though."
She sniffled and moved to sit closer to TA. "Are you... okay? Done puking for now?" She kept a respectful distance. She didn't want to crowd him, but she was anxious to see what the meshing of the two personalities had left.

"I don't know. For a minute. I had fleeting images... but they are disappearing. All i can remember is vaguely wind rushing around me and excitement... and blood. I dont know why. Did... Did I do something? Did I hurt you?", the fear crept back into his voice at the though of him hurting his new found.. what was she. A friend? He had never had one before so he wasn't sure.
"I'm sorry for blacking out. I don't know why I do that. It happens more than I would like and always when I think I am in trouble. I just don't know what is happening to me. For some reason half of me wants to hug you... the other half... i don't know. Its like i want to go and do something. What Im not sure."
He just looked at her for a long moment. His eyes looked her up and down. Not like a man looking at a piece of meat but instead as someone searching for something. Answers maybe. She was still with him. She had to know what had happened. She had dodged his question and he needed an answer.
He was so different... so insecure about himself. She wondered what it would do to him if he knew. He had seen blood. She shuddered. The feeling in the pit of her stomach solidified like a rock. Perhaps she could have managed two... maybe she should have tried harder.
She was brought back to reality with a timid question. "Did... Did I do something? Did I hurt you?" Fear was ragged on the edge of his voice, and though he was worried the fact that he showed concern made hope well up in her chest. Her face softened as she stood.
"Do I look hurt?" She spun herself around slowly. She surely looked a little worse for wear, but she was physically untouched. For some reason, though she had been shy around others, she felt that she was truly herself around this person. Something about his personality had forced her out of her shell, and now she felt obligated to help TA become the best version of himself... or at least find himself.
"I'm sorry for blacking out. I don't know why I do that. It happens more than I would like and always when I think I am in trouble. I just don't know what is happening to me. For some reason half of me wants to hug you... the other half... i don't know. Its like i want to go and do something. What I'm not sure."
She stood under his scrutiny for a while before finally sitting on her knees next to him again. She looked at him with her honeycomb colored eyes. He was so close to figuring it out... he practically said the answer to his worries himself. She wanted him to get it on his own - he needed to get it on his own.
"You don't... remember at all do you?" She searched his baby blues and seemed to affirm whatever it was that she was looking for. Just the manner in which she said it made it obvious that she knew something, but since she wasn't especially good at lying she would continue to redirect for as long as she could.
"C'mon. Get up." She stood and offered him her hand. "We should get off this helicopter pad before someone lands on our heads." She mentally took inventory of her pockets. There was not nearly enough money to pay for this hotel, obviously, but she thought that they might've saved fair by flying a bit. Perhaps they could afford a cab now... either a cab or something to eat. It would be one or the other and her stomach loudly proclaimed it's opinion.
It was getting later in the afternoon and beginning to be the start of an evening. The sun was making it's long and slow slide toward the other side of the earth, and the only way into the building seemed to be through some sort of penthouse suite. It was huge and proffered lots of windows and locked doors. oops. She hadn't entirely thought about how they would get down once they landed.
