Personality: Before Skadi’s power spiralled out of control, she was a fun loving, open and friendly girl. But since things have happened to her, she’s begun to grow more quiet and conserved. Sometimes you will see the “old” Skadi peep through, where the fun and laughter lies. But over all she can seem a little withdrawn and placid.
Worries/ Phobias: Dislikes closed spaces (claustrophobia), Thought of being trapped. Due to this she often leaves her window open. She’s also scared of the thought of loosing control of her power.
Hobbies: - Horse back riding (Iceland is very well known for having good strong horses), her favourite horse to ride is white one with grey spots, her name is Fair Lady. She also enjoys Snowboarding when on holiday, bathing in Hot springs, Reading Mythology and playing chess.
Allegiance: X-men - Good
Everyday clothing: She wears a lot of dresses, long skirts and shorts. Along with this she tends to wear boots and stripy socks / tights. One of her favourite boots that she wears is her purple knee length ones with a fur inner lining. Skadi likes to wear corsets and tops with lace/ribbons on them. When she is relaxing and in training she tends to wear stripy t-shirts and ripped jeans. The kind of colours she wears are Blues, Silver, White, Black.
Uniform: If eventually becomes an x-men, the kind of colours she would wear would be the modern black leather suit with silver lining/padding.
Pyjamas: White tank top and black shorts, wears knee length stripy socks.
Hair colour and style: White blonde, shoulder length, choppy and fine. She usually wears it down and it flicks out, but sometimes clips it back in a silver clip, resulting in a spikey-ish style at the back of her head, has a choppy side fringe that layers down the left hand side of her face.
Eye colour: Originally Green (due to mutation, turns silver...)
Height: Average. 5’6
Build: slender and curvaceous, she looks quite delicate.

Tattoos: A Rune symbol on her hip – meaning unknown
Piercing: Her ears are pierced twice on each side, wear small silver hoops in one set of holes, in the other wears small diamond studs.
Description of ability (is):
Skadi Can Shape shift into Birds. Only a select few at the moment though. Her favourite form is the Snowy Owl. Though she can change into White Tailed Eagle and a Sparrow. She has not stretched or tested her power enough to see if she can shape shift into any other bird form. Due to this mutation she also has better eye sight and hearing than an average human. She isn’t fazed by very big heights either. Skadi has developed a loud screech, similar to a bird’s but much louder. This can disorientate people which make them put their hands on their ears. She only screeches when she is feeling threatened.
Cons (weaknesses) of ability(ies): Herself. If she can’t control her emotions sometimes she could spontaneously change into a bird. Skadi has not tested her newly acquired screeching ability either, it has only lasted for 30 seconds and when ever she does use it, she finds it difficult to shape shift into a bird afterwards. She will need an hours rest. She is limited to just shape shifting into birds.
Fighting style (if any): Quite calm and collective, if needs be she will fight back and will fight back with all her will and power.
History of your character: Skadi lives in a high populated town of Iceland. Her family are very rich and proud of their heritage/family history. They are head museum curators at the museum and are regulars at auctions. They like collecting Norse and Viking objects that are either precious or utter rubble. Skadi’s family have a long line generation of the Norse. Her great grandmother four decades ago was a legend; they are many stories of her being a powerful witch. She would travel with the warriors and tell the warriors what to do, and how to win the battles. Apparently she was the gods and goddesses messenger. They rewarded her with the gift of “winter”. In those times, mutant’s was not a term well known in them times. When Skadi was a child she would often play in the mountains with her friends. They would play hide and seek, climb trees and make up stories. One day Skadi was running away from her friends, looking for a place to hide, she accidentally fell down a very deep ditch that was hidden in the snow. It was very small, dark and deep in the ground. It felt like hours she spent screaming, waiting to hear her comforting friend’s voice, but no one came... Skadi began to grow more afraid and eventually curled up into a little ball and closed her eyes. Suddenly there was a noise coming above her, she opened her eyes and there she saw it in all its splendour. A snowy owl was circling, flying above her. Fate it seemed, she watched it, in a hypnotising manor. All her body began to tingle, this send a warm rush throughout her cold body. The tingling sensation then progressed to a pain, a sudden headache to the head for a split second but it was gone as quickly as she flew out of the hole. She doesn’t quite remember what happened after that. Skadi was awoken the next morning outside her house, curled up in the frosted grass, chilled to the bone. After time progressed flashbacks would come now and then. She had become claustrophobic and would often leave her windows open, this irritated her parents a lot, but she didn’t like the feeling of being a caged bird. She knew she was a mutant, but she felt she didn’t need to tell anyone about it, or needed help. Skadi thinks it was her destiny to be able to transform into an Bird, this gave her the key to freedom from her home. As time passed by and she became older, she became more emotional and angry. She started loosing control of her power and suddenly spontaneously shifting into a bird. Luckily enough she didn’t do this in front of anyone else. Only in front of her pet cat, and that was fun. She decided that she needed help, she was loosing control of herself and she was beginning to get scared and quite timid. She would look at her arms sometimes, feeling paranoid that a feather might appear one day, that one day she will never turn back into a human. This was no longer as fun as it was when she was younger; it was beginning to get dangerous so she took it upon herself to get some answers. There is one good thing about being rich, and that’s getting information. She spent a good couple of months travelling around countries. Telling her parents she was going to some auctions and taking a holiday. They wouldn’t question her. They were too busy with other things. Eventually Skadi heard about the x-men and the school for gifted people like her. Taking it upon herself she has travelled across the world and has now finally arrived. She hopes to find help, answers and new friends...
Sample RP: (Weren’t sure what to do so just messed around.. Hope this is ok)
It was a cold rainy Friday night in the city of Manchester, England. The air was crisp, with excitement in the air. There was laughing and drunken bantering; people were outside in the streets singing songs, linking arms while they waddled down the road. There was a figure huddled round the corner of a street. It was hunched slightly with their arms crossed across their chest, moving their head side to side looking nervously for something... or someone. Another figure started appears further down the road, this one was walking steadily, and their body was outlined by the street lamps. It was holding a black umbrella above itself, shielding it from the rain. It came to a Holt and was standing across the hunched figure who said “Do you have the money?” The man said in a deep husky voice. The figure across from him said “The real question is... Do you have what I need for you to deserve the money?” This voice was a lot more fair and gentle. The man reached inside his jacket and pulled out a large white envelope then handed it to the woman “Here you go” He looked at her carefully as she went to take it from him, she was wearing white knitted gloves, She had a long knee length white coat that had fur lined around the bottom. Taking the envelope she went into her purse and pulled out a small brown envelope and passed it to him. He immediately ripped the money from the envelope and scruffily shoved it in his pocket. Looking at her face that was now illuminated under the street lamps he then said “Don’t get in contact with me again, I never existed, I was never here.. With that sort of information it can be very dangerous to have a hold of” She smiled slightly, her rosy pink lips looked a contrast to her pale white skin. Ringlets of white blonde hair peeped out of her jacket, her hood was up above her head with a fur lining, a long black and white stripy scarf was wrapped around her neck and nicely draped behind her back. She looked into the mans black eyes with her own, sparkling silver eyes, wearing quite contrasting thick black eyeliner than made them stand out like stars. She replied calmly “Don’t worry, I can take care of myself” The man turned around and suddenly turned invisible as he started to walk off. The girl continued to walk down the road and opened up a small silver car that was parked round the corner. She sat in the driver’s seat and began to open the envelope, she started pulling out photos. These were photos of mutants that were at the school she was looking for; she pulled out a photo of Tricity and examined it. Then finally pulling out some maps of the school and layout sheets she put the keys in the ignition and turned the keys. The car’s engine growled and started to pull out of the space and began driving down the road. The rain still hammering hard on the ground. It was going to be long nights drive...

I like the name Skadi. It's my favorite godess from the norse mythology. I even have a character on Morlock Nights named like this. Anyway, welcome to MRO and I hope you'll have a nice stay !
Welcome to MRO Skadi. Hopefully our characters will be seeing a lot of each other since we are both allied with the X-Men. I would also enjoy the possibility of flying with you even though I have no bird form. But I do believe I could hold my own if indeed it came to a race.
