The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Grit’s eyes fluttered open, and he wheezed out the words, “As much as I care about…. About..”
his head twitched, though whether that was just a spasm of pain or trying to indicate someone no one could quite make sure.
“I’m…no.. not a mutant, I am unfortunately hu..hu..human and human only, I have honoured my promise, yet I have rebelled against the authority, you must go back to..to..to your family… and me to mine…. But I know a short cut to get you out of here, hel..help me up.” Grit said as he struggled to get up.
His fire was dying. He had honoured his promise to his father’s mentor (Hades) to protect the girl and trust and train Michael, this he had done. Now, to Grit it appeared time to say good by to them, they were mutants, where as he was human, and though he accepted treated them equally, in his mind they were going back to their mutant friends, there was no place for him there. There was no place for him anywhere on this earth. His father died on mission as a Spec Ops soldier, his little sister a month ago from a bus accident and is mother, who had cancer and who he was trying to pay the medical fees for by accepting this job, died last week. Amp, Shya and Michael were like the only family that he had left, but it was like they were given to his care for a time, and now was time to let them go. He had no family on this earth anymore, so he intended to lead them to safety, to a better life and then perhaps…. He had never thought about that. He might return to Mongolia, and find a nice hill to die on, or maybe arranged to get buried in the mountains of Mongolia, far from the petty and stupid politics and racism that had caused him to know and come to care for and perhaps even love people of a different race, only to have to loose them again, to have to endure as they suffered.
No, he wanted out. But first before he could just give up and die, he had to finish his mission, and to that end he focused all his energy with his sheer determination, his muscles had long since grown weak and given out from loss of blood, however he willed them to move, to struggle up, blurry vision and all to lead them to a hidden door from the training room, where he had spent so many fond memories training Michael, directly to an alleyway that led straight to where the big boom had come from. It seemed fitting to go through the training room, to honour the bitter sweet memories of a dying man.

Vibe immediately tensed as someone else entered the room. But it was just the other boy, the one on their side. He knelt next to them.
"Come on. We'd best get out of here. Come on big feller. We're not done yet. Up you get, we got to get out of here."
"Careful! He's hurt pretty badly," Vibe warned, still holding the rag to the gunshot wounds.
“I’m…no.. not a mutant, I am unfortunately hu..hu..human and human only, I have honoured my promise, yet I have rebelled against the authority, you must go back to..to..to your family… and me to mine…. But I know a short cut to get you out of here, hel..help me up.”
While Vibe expected her sister to make some snide remark, she was surprised when Amp simply moved to his other side, to help support him. She put her hand over the rag and wound and took up the pressure, letting Vibe move aside so they could walk.
>I've got some questions for you once we get back...< she silently told her sister. Amp simply nodded.

(OOC: Sorry for the delayed responce, life got busy all of a sudden)
IC: Michael offered Amp a SMile as she helped him move Grit towards the exit. Upon hearing Grit's defeatest comments Michael said, "Come on now big fella, we're not done yet. I expect you to be up and about for a long while yet. Now lets go, we got to get outta here."
As they headed for he exit Michael took his first good look at Grit's wounds. They were bad, and would need some seeing too. "We'd better get Natalie to have a look at those scratches," he half joked. He hoped Natalie would be with the resistance members, as she was the only person Michael knew who could deal with wounds as bad as Grit's in these conditions.
