The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He was close to leaving. Just walking away and hitching a ride back to Central Park. That was before he saw Deathstar trapped by a Shadow Bot. Her skin seemed metallic and cold, but Haddix could recognize her sharp features even if he was blind. He charged at the bot, having no real plan beyond flinging himself at the thing. He put his arms parallel to themselves in front of his face and dove for the shadow bot, scraping its shell but causing no real damage. What he did do was throw the bot off balance, hopefully enough to free Deathstar from its grip.
The problem now was that the bot was now focused on this new threat. He took a heavy metallic blow, then another to the body. All the while he was looking for weaknesses on the thing, but he was having trouble finding any whatsoever. He raked his forearms against the seemingly thinner parts of the bot's extremities, eventually raking his way through. From there he began punching blindly into the hole he'd jut made in it. Pit Bull had no way of knowing if this was doing any real damage or not, but he hoped to hell it was. He reached into the hole and began ripping and raking at the various wires running through it, and sure enough the bot's motor senses in that particular extremity began to go haywire. This freed him from the thing's grip, allowing him to roll away towards where Deathstar was. He looked at her and said, "We've got to go, now!"
Deathstar struggled with the shadow bot, trying to maneuver her way out of his clamps when out of no where Pitbull dived snatching the bot off her. Deathstar stayed on all fours while watching Pitbull destroy the shadow bot with such force, for a second she felt like a princess being saved by her prince, but that was totally out of Deathstar's character.
As Pitbull finished off the Shadow bot he rolled near her and said "We've got to go, now!" , Deathstar nodded her metallic head with agreement, She adored his fierce personality and demeanor, maybe that is why Deathstar is so drawn to him. "What about Tricity? we got to get her out of here?" She asked while she slowly arose to her feet.
(Ooc: Sorry that I'm a bit late, had exams so could not post, I did not read the whole thread so is if something is wrong please tell me and I will make it right )
Raven had heard about a camp breakout. In his head he knew it was foolish to go and have a look from a distance, but the temptation was to great and he got on his motorcycle.
The roads were blocked by heavily guarded patrols, but stealth was in the favor of Raven. He reflected the light of him and his motorcycle making him invisible. All the guards noticed was a dirt in their face when Raven passed them with high speed.
Arriving at the scene there was a lot chaos, and flames. The riot of mutants was in full action and u could see blood everywhere. Some mutants made pacts and worked together but a good overview and control there was not. The mutants looked like they were almost set to leave and some last bullets trough some guards would make a nice finishing touch to this riot.
Taking out his sniper he took a seat on the rock, the rock was good enough to lay down on, and luckily it wasn't wet or anything. Zooming in at 600 meters away from the camp it was not so hard for an ex Swat member to take out some guards. Though this was highly against his cause, he could not abandon his own people, mutants. The guards may have done nothing wrong against the law, the way they treated mutants had to be punished.
He zoomed in with his sniper scope and saw the mutants resist, he did not schoot, just watch, he would only get in action if he see's that one of the mutants is in danger and can't handle the situation.
"Hey you, what are u doing here" A soldier with a m4 rifle pointed at Raven stood behind him. "Slowly turn around and state your business" "I'm with you guys, didn't your supervisor told you that I was here to control the situation?" Raven tried to persuade the soldier to back off "Well go on call him then" The soldier did not trust the situation and took some steps back while drawing his walkie talky out of his pocket. Foolish enough he turned around trying to cover up the words he said over the walkie talky. Raven stepped over to the soldier, and with one quick movement his broke his neck, though he was not satisfied. He drew his gun and shot the soldier threw his head, now that was satisfaction. Raven turned around and went back to the rock to see what was going on with the rest of the mutants, if a shot had to been made he was ready.
Having shot up out of her bunk by an explosion that came from outside Nika's ears strained to pick up as much information as they could. That is until another explosion erupted and she had to cover her poor sensitive ears for a few moments. The one thing she knew was that something big was happening.
Stepping outside the young cat girls eyes and ears were met with the sights and sounds of battle. She had never been in a battle. That is not unless you count her training back at the mansion. Nika had seen battles and wars on tv but it was a whole different experience in person.
For several minutes she spent her time hiding from guards running by or from the possible Stalker. She wasn't sure if she could or should attack the gaurds. Most of that was due to her lack of knowledge regarding the deactivation of her collar. It wouldn't do her any good to try to escape or take her anger out on a gaurd just to have herself dropped like a sack of potatos.
Nika managed to avoid any conflicts long enough to see several of the camp detainees fighting back. They weren't being shocked? In fact a few of them attacked several guards or fought Stalker bots and there was no reaction from their collars or wrist bands.
With this new found knowledge Nika leapt out from her hiding place just in time to pounce on the back of a passing guard. She didn't waste any time with him. The moment the man was face down in the dirt Nika slashed his throat deeply with her right claw, and then darted off leaving the guy to drown in his own blood.
It didn’t take long for Freddie to realize he had made a huge mistake. A quick turn of the head showed him explosions, maulings, shootings, and big alien freak machines attacking people. Being there was not in his plans for the evening. Not by a long shot.
Fortunately, his managing experience showed through. His mind instinctively jumped from ‘Oh s***. Oh s***. Oh s***.’ to ‘How does this problem get solved?’ Well, the most obvious problem to be solved was the little question of his continued survival. The other problems, like why people were dying at all…those could wait.
>“No, but thanks, this is no place for that. Where the hell did you come from anyway? …This is hardly the occasion to be wearing your three piece.”
Ha ha. The guy still had time to joke around even in the middle of hell? Maybe that was the difference between an experienced fighter and him…
>“Are you going to be ok out here? If not lets get you to one of the trucks or to the tank. …The name’s Redemption.”
He was scrambling up off the ground, noticing with a crazy little feeling of detached regret that his suit had gotten dirty when he registered that the superhero guy had gone on. He was even trying to look after him. Was that the kind of thing superheroes got used to? Random people show up out of nowhere and you just chalk them up on the board next to all the other people who need saving. Well no, he had looked startled. Even superheroes startled, apparently.
“Yeah, thanks, but I’ll get myself over to somewhere safe…there’s a tank here?” Did those put out data streams? He wasn’t thrilled with the idea of running up to it and jumping on it to stream and hitch a ride in it, but if he could latch on to a data stream from here it had to be the safest place around… On the other hand, maybe just avoiding getting noticed and getting to someplace quiet would be best. Sooner or later he would find a data stream to hitch a ride out on. The trick here was not getting shot while he was waiting for the transfer.
A blast came from behind him, inside the building. It jarred his bones, and it hit him that finding a quiet place anywhere around here really wasn’t going to be all that easy. The superhero guy had offered to help, right? If he had laser eyes or could withstand bullets or something, why not take him up on it? Besides, it was his fault Freddie was even in this hellhole, right? The little manager’s voice in his head insisted that casting blame was counterproductive, though, and it was time to get moving anyway. Every second counted here!
“Let’s try that again. Nice to meet you. I’ll tell you what. If you can cover me for a few seconds, I’ll get out of your hair and I might even be able to return the favor by covering you if I can take over something with a little shielding on it.”
He got himself moving before he was even finished talking. Here went nothing. He looked up and spotted one or two data streams that were strong enough to support him. Go! Data. I’m data. Just data. You can’t shoot data. Somehow willing himself to break down almost made it feel like he was moving slower, not faster.
Finally the transfer completed, and he hooked himself into a short range radio stream. How far would it get him away from here? It took no time at all. He felt around, trying to take in his new body. It was a helicopter. And he was hooked up to the onboard computer.
…
Now that was a rush! He could see and hear the chaos below him. He could sense his altitude and his angle. And the machine guns…that was new. Maybe not new compared with being hurled into what seemed to be the main battle of a civil war, but new.
He didn’t register his megaphone until the pilot flicked it on and yelled through it. “Section 6 is unsafe. Do not proceed to Section 6. Repeat, do not proceed to Section 6,” was the message he found himself relaying to the listeners below. It was for the benefit of a pair of guards who were frantically running…right toward a little pack of mutants that was destroying the alien machines left and right with big guns and... lasers?
Now that could be useful here. He had no interest in taking lives, not even the lives of killers. But trying to do a little coordinating, that might actually save lives.
First things first. He spotted Redemption as a vague blue streak. It was hard to tell, but he might still have been looking around, trying to figure out where Freddie went. Well, it was time to break his cover.
“Redemption, we have a go,” he boomed over his megaphone. Only after that did it occur to him that he would probably attract the attention of some pretty dangerous people, making that much noise…
[OOC: If you felt your suit get heavier it was your imagination, because Freddie was already all the way out of there before he started to resolidify.]
"What about Tricity? we got to get her out of here?"[/i]
Pit Bull recalled the name Tricity from the few conversations he'd had with Death Star and a few others while in the camps. He got up to his feet and looked around the immediate area, scanning for guards. He extended a hand to help the girl up, figuring he could at least show a kind gesture, although he didn't put his money on Deathstar being the kind of girl that accepts helping hands too often.
"So where would you suggest we start looking for Tricity?" he asked, continuing to scan the immediate area. There was chaos everywhere, and The Pit Bull was doing everything he could to keep from reveling in it. Here's to not walking away, he thought. Hope it's worth it.
As Pitbull extended his hand to help Deathstar on her feet, she took a moment to think and realize that finally someone actually cares about her, your doing it again Layla, don't fall too deep with this guy" Deathstar thought to herself. Snapping back to reality she grabs his hand gently and slowly rise to her feet. Deathstar didn't let go of Pitbull's hand as she stood next to him, she was infatuated with him and she couldn't hide her feelings any longer.
"So where would you suggest we start looking for Tricity?" Pitbull asked
"I don't know, the infirmary maybe?" she yelled trying to sound out the chaos that surrounded the both of them. "Or maybe they took her to some kind of solitary confinement cell" she said with a puzzled look on her face.

(OCC if you want DK to help just give him a call on the radio or pm me) From Unlikely Allies... I Mean Enemies In the midst of all the confusion and carnage suddenly from the general direction of the infirmary there appeared two flashes, of light glinting of something moving at a high speed. These two glints soon materialised in two chains stretching back as far as the eye could see and shooting straight towards the APC’s. Just as it seemed to be about to punch through the APC’s claws morphed out of the chains and they suddenly plunged into the ground with two loud whump’s.
Soon after that the radio buzzed. “DK coming through with wounded, Medics please standby at APC’s. DK out.”
The chains which had been slightly slack went taunt with a hum, and strained a bit. With a mighty whoosh, what looked like a large cylinder with a hemisphere at each end and vivid red crosses set in dazzlingly white circles came thundering along the chains to screech to a stop infront of the APC’s. It then appeared to melt from the top down, later reforming as a man and a group of slightly bewildered looking patients. Dragon King stopped to check that they were all alright then he started to run forward, as he did his red cape started to billow out from his neck, growing up to exceeding 4 metres in length. The cape seemed alive and picked up DK and of he went back to the infirmary.
This sequence was repeated once more. When he went back for the final time on his way he stopped as he saw four guards with semi automatics prepare to fire on two mutants making for the safety of the APC’s.
Dragon King landed between the two, his cape resizing itself to become like a screen just as the guards opened fire. Dragon King took multiple shots to the chest with holes opening up left right and centre and what look like liquid lightening leaking from his wounds, he went down. The guards walked forward a bit…. Only to see the holes on his chest heal up. Dragon King stood up and his whole skin seemed to ripple slightly and take on a slightly rougher and darker appearance. He started to walk towards them, only to be greeted by a wave of devastating fire, only this time he kept on walking as bullets bounced harmlessly off his armour, slowly he reached the guards and swung his arms outwards. The guards parted like the red sea, two flying to each side hitting walls and going unconscious. Dragon King was not one to kill for no reason.
He turned to go only to see out of the corner of his eye a guard expertly whip two knives into his hands and turn to prepare to throw them at a male and female mutant (Pitbull and Deathstar). With a yell Dragon King launched two chains at the guard. A “Noooooooo…” was followed by the sound of two grippers on the end of two chains punching through the guard, one through the right lung the other straight through the heart, they emerged out the front of the guard past his hands, shooting on to catch the two knives not inches from the necks of Pitbull and Deathstar and grabbing them with two clangs then dropping them to the floor. The chains withdrew back through the guard back into Dragon King. Dragon King threw the two mutants two ear piece radios. “Take care, if you need help call.”
And with that his cloak came out to blossom above him and then draw him into itself and he flew away. Back into Unlikely Allies... I Mean Enemies

ooc: continued from all Raina's other side threads
ic:
Raina had found herself back at the hole. She looked behind her to see if Streak was following. She leaned her weight against a wall and took a breath. She saw many familiar faces... but so much blood, so much violence, and so much destruction. She shook her head lightly trying so hard to erase the images of Rupert from her mind. That was the last thing she should be thinking about now but it was all there was for her.
She peered outside to see if Naveed and Flloyd were still there. She thought she could hear the rev of a motorcycle. So what next? Where would she go from here? Back to the mansion? Was there anything left? She didn't know.
((OOC: Sorry for the delay. I had to get my toys first))
Having sprinted headlong into the fray once the wall was breached Syn fought with one of her vibro knives in her right hand and one of her Glock G11's in her left. The girl gleefully slashed at the human guards while shooting at others further away. The smell of blood and fear drove her to create more bloody fear.
Though she had been shot before and her body could now act as it's own armor Syn elected to wear light body armor during the assault. Mainly she wanted to keep that little secret to herself. The battle was spectacular but Syn was more focused on making sure her fellow Order members were freed.
The strong wind from a passing helicopter caused the large, over-sized cloak that Shade was wearing to whip violently around his body as he stood shadowed in darkness. The mutant carefully watched the procession of mutants move through the camps towards the armored transports. It looked like everything was going just about the way they had planned it. Now was a little time to have some fun. Spotting a guard running off from the main field of destruction, Shade's eyes locked onto his prey like a hawk spotting a mouse.
'Jumping' nearly on top of the guy, Shade quickly took the guard to the ground. It was apparate that the man was utterly confused by the fact that he couldn't see anyone. However, that didn't stop him from fighting back. As the pair grappled on the floor, Shade materialized his knife, jabbing it into the man's side. It sliced into his ribcage before Shade ripped it back out. The invisible mutant stabbed again and again in the man's side, concentrating on puncturing a lung.
However, the flailing man struggled violently, trying to swing his arms at his unseen attacker. A lucky punch managed to collide with Shade's face, knocking the two apart. Rolling, Shade quickly regained his composure and stood to finish off the guard. He could taste the blood in his mouth from his busted lip.
"You shouldn't have done that human. Now I"m going to have to really hurt you." The harsh unseen voice said. The guard's face was that of pure terror and with both hands clutching his side, he started to cower in fear.
"Please...please...I beg you. I have a family...."
"Must be nice." Shade replied before moving to finish the man.
"Please...no...no...NOOOOO!" The man's screams joined the rest of the camp's horrible song of death.
Walking back out into the fray of things, Shade had that classic smirk across his face as he moved invisibly through the throng of people. However if one looked closely, they could follow the blood trail dripping from Shade's cloak.
Raven was still on lying down on the rock enjoying the view threw his sniper scope. He looked around, looking for people that he may recognize from wanted posters or whispers on the street. So far he had 2 subjects in mind: Hunter Antonescu and Syn, her real name was unknown, both powerful people indeed, but invincibility was not achieved by them. He knew how the both of them looked like, and not that it was a big surprise, he saw Syn run threw the breach and killing some minor guards. She should be stopped, the pain she caused this world was over the top. Raven did not want to take her out from a distance, that would not be very honorable nor was a quick shot threw the head satisfying. Killing her needed more then just 1 shot, it need cuts, bruises, bloodflow, and some bashing. He wanted her to fecal pain, pain she caused others. He could not wait to bring her down, but Patience is a virtue. He wanted to give her a heads up that he was here, maybe that would make it a bit more interesting. Maybe he even could take some of of more famous Order members down, how nice. He knew Syn had a big red friend, and Raven was dying to meet the bloke, and put him to an end aswell. And what a luck the big red guy was here too. He was standing near some others he had already seen before this day, but they did not matter, if the would die so be it, if not then there will always be another day for punishment."Back to Syn" he though. With his scope he took a better view at this remarkable woman, as she has never been caught, if witch he knows of. "Let's take a some shots near her feat, will she dance?" Raven smiled and took 5 shots.

(ooc: returning from side thread)
ic: Streak had lost sight of Raina. They had separated and that was not a good thing for him because of his worsening condition. He had to stop a few times to catch his breath and to cool his wounds down a little. "Ah, good that hole looks familiar." Streak said to himself. He went through the hole and walked on for a while. Streak looked out and saw all the blood shed that had occurred and he took a second to breath.
He walked on until he couldn't go any further. Streak then slumped against a wall and sat down slowly. He sat there for a while when he noticed someone was else was leaning against the wall near him. After all their walking together he lost her for a second and now he had found her again. It was Raina, Streak was sitting near. He was relieved that he had found her again since she had been such a huge help helping him along with his wounds. He then heard screams coming from close by and ran off to find out what was going on.
Looking around for a new target Nika spotted something she never would've imagined. She saw Deathstar with the big red guy she had sort of met at the anime convention. The big man seemed to know Deathstar from his body language and gestures towards the girl. This had to be investigated.
Darting her way across the battlefield like a white blur Nika did a flying kick to take down a guard that was getting ready to use his night stick on one of the younger mutants. She looked back only long enough to see the kid run off to safety. Finally she made it over to Deathstar and Abyss and looked at them both in a confused manner.
"I never thought I'd see you here."
First directing herself to Abyss and then to them both.

Ali had taken up a position near the breached wall to provide cover for those who were escaping or the wounded mutants who were being brought out. Mostly she just flung fireballs at guards making them duck for cover or run away. Depending on their courage of course. Occasionally she would throw up a wall of fire when a large group of mutants were looking to run out from a buidling. Ali did her best to keep from actually blowing apart the humans. She didn't think Tricity would approve otherwise.
