Personality: Alexis is a very complicated individual, having different feelings in different situations. She is generally an opinionated girl who's opinions tend to get her in trouble. She is a feminist and thinks a girl can do anything a guy can, although she is also fairly 'girly'. Alexis treats others nicely, and is a kind and caring person who always seems to get caught up with the wrong crowds. Being fairly intelligent, Alexis is an A-student who tries her hardest in everything. Sometimes considered a perfectionist, she is actually just someone who likes things to get done the right way the first time.

Alexis has a soft-spot for all animals, no matter how big or ferocious. She is the type of person you see saving and feeding stray dogs as well as approaching the rabid bear. Alexis likes to look good and hot, although only when not hunting or working in the wild. She treats everyone the same and is generally nice, although she can be really rude and manipulative. Tending to get what she wants, Alexis is used to controlling people and things.
Notes: Alexis enjoys animals, thinking that they are amazing and loving to learn as much about them as possible. They are her greatest passion in life, and her life revolves around them. She also likes hunting, although she never actually kills what she catches. She will track the target down, restrain it without injuring it, and then let it go. However, some animals who are rude and mean she will kill, although only if absolutely necessary. She is a very active person, and also likes running, archery, and camping. On the other hand Alexis is a beauty-queen and know-it-all, liking to learn as much as possible. She is deathly afraid of bombs as well and absolutely hates poachers.

Everyday clothing: Alexis, when in public, will often wear nice and expensive clothing, often consisting of hip and nice tight jeans with a beautiful blouse or other top. When in the wild she will often wear either cargo pants or shorts, along with a tight long-sleeved shirt; both being black. Alexis always tries to look as good as possible.
Uniform: Black Cargo pants, a tight black long-sleeved shirt, and running shoes.
Pajamas: A tank-top and silky pyjama pants.

Hair color and style: Long and blonde, often wavy.

Build: Lean and Muscular, very fit and tones.

Description of abilities: Alexis' first power is supplementary and something she's had longer than her other powers. Alexis' vocal cords are more advanced than a normal human's, and the lingual sensory part of her brain is overly developped as well. Because of this Alexis has the ability to not only produce the same sounds as any animal, but she can also understand them. However, some animals such as fish are harder to communicate with, and the verbal exchange becomes more telepathical. This power is basically fully develloped, although sometimes she will have a few errors which always end up comical.

Alexis' second power is the ability to take on an animal's unique attributes without taking on their appearance. This means that she can take on a fish's ability to breathe under water, or a falcon's amazing eyesight. Other applications of the power are the agility of a cheetah or the flexibility of a monkey.
Cons of abilities: For her animal communication power, Alexis commonly has issues speaking with animals that don't make audible sounds, such as fish, salamanders, and turtles. However, another downside is that her brain will instinctively know what sounds to make and force her vocal cords to produce them only for the moment. Therefore, she can only speak feline when around a cat, although after constantly speaking an animal's language she eventually learns it by heart.

Alexis' other power ( her taking on attributes ) also has it's cons. She can only take on the attributes of an animal she has actually seen in person or through a video, although the longer she's been with the animal in person the longer she can maintain it's attributes. On an average basis she can maintain an animal's abilities for a long time, although it depends on the animal and their abilities. Another con is that Alexis can't take on the animal's appearance or physical parts, so although she can have the eyes of a hawk she can't have their wings. The final con is that Alexis can only have one animal's attribute at a time.
Fighting style: Alexis is a master Archer, having skills surpassing anyone she has ever met in archery. This is partly because of her amazing aim, but also because she can take on a hawk's eyesight to see something a lot better. She is so good with a bow and arrow that had she been born in Ancient Greece the Goddess Artemis would blush. Alexis is also skilled with a hunting dagger and gun, although she disapproves of firearms. Taking on an animal's abilities also makes Alexis skilled in hand-to-hand combat.

History of your character: Alexis Autumn Roberts was born in Vancouver Island, a well-known tourist city in British Columbia, Canada. Her father, Archie Roberts, was a well-known Photographer for National Geographic, a magazine that sent him all around the world from the Tibetan Monasteries to the African Savana. Her mother, Lyto Grey-Roberts, was a famous Zoologist and Veterinarian, known for her advances in Animal Behaviouralism and Medicine. She was always being sent to promotions in the US and the UK, which left Alexis to choose which parent to accompany.

When she was young, Alexis was doing things people would live their whole lives and never do. From exploring the Amazon as a 3 year-old beside her father to spending time with Gorilla's in the Toronto Zoo, Alexis had a life of adventure and action. However, as she was growing up she also began to like boys and fashion, and tried to separate her two lives. Even from age ten there was the social pretty-girl life and the wilderness-loving monkey-girl life. It was around the age of 11 that her powers began to surface.

One day, when at the San Francisco Zoo with her mother, Alexis was frightened when she could actually understand what the tigers were saying. From there she started speaking with them and other felines, thinking she could only talk with cats. This made her mind program the feral language so that she could speak it at any time. However, she soon found she could talk to any animal, and when news about Mutants began surfacing she understood why.

Keeping her powers a secret, it was when she was training a hawk and randomly got it's great eyesight temporarily that she found he second power. Alexis found this harder to control at first, but soon got the hang of it. She also started doing better in school and academically, which is why at the age of 18 she graduated high school with honours and enrolled in New York University for classes in Biology and Zoology.

Throughout her past Alexis spent an alarming amount of time honing her powers and hunting, although she learnt to never kill her prey. She also perfected her archery and learnt from masters across the globe thanks to her father's job, specifically some Tibetan Monks and African Priestesses. Alexis has moved away from home and her real journey now begins....

hmm I thought we recently had someone with the same power but since nobody else thinks so as far as I know it's all good!
