The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Ok, So... call me a geek but I got this idea reading The Order of The Pheonix... lol
I was thinking, since some of the mutants are now guards why not exploit that a little bit? We could start a thread where mutants could come together to 'train'. Perhaps the camps could have something in place like group confinement since solitary is starting to overflow or something and the mutants now get sent to a big cell with one guard and a remote stand watch. Well... if we get one of our mutant guards to be the guard the mutants who get sent there could train together. They'd want to stay under the radar, but the whole point could maybe be seeing how far they can push their mutation without activating the collars or while enduring the collars. Maybe they've got word from the outside of a possible break-out and want to start preparing.
Just an idea! I thought since the camps were combined now it could be a good RP opprotunity and make a lot of sense in the long run
Lemme know what you think! if everyone likes it we can star a thread and get 'er going!
hmm, i like the idea. Personally i was wondering about the mutant guards myself but never really thought of something like this. I think that having to endure the pain is something that sounds more realistic, and sneaking people out would definatly be a possibility, they could go to the resistance and give them information and such that would be useful for freeing everyone else. It could only be a few important peopl though because the guards would quickly see the gap in their little operation overthere and fix the problem, and to many mutants missing and that could be a amajor problem.

if you actually noticve shield is about to be trained by grit and matthew is a master swordsman, so they will train in the barracks gym where there are no cameras

"if you actually notice"... come on we can't all keep up on every single post I still think it would be a good idea. Give more people an opprotunity other than just shield grit and matthew
Just curious: What do you mean by 'training'? Considering the background of the camps, and what their purpose is, it doesn't make much sense for guards to 'train' the inmates in any form of combat. That would defeat the purpose. Even the session between Grit and Shield seems like it should be kept away from prying eyes, otherwise the pair would be in trouble from Camp Higher-ups. Exercise sessions though might make more sense as a cover.
Just my two cents.
enigma: 1. One that is puzzling, ambiguous, or inexplicable. 2. A perplexing speech or text; a riddle.
"Ooooh! Now I understand why I confuse myself. I think...."
In honor of a great rper, and a dear friend. We'll miss you, Iris.

nono not as far as the camp knows. As far as the camp knows they are in group confinement. Hmm lemme see if I can make my general idea easier to understand:
So, Raina does something to get in trouble with the guards, there aren't many solitary cells left anymore due to the merging of the camps and lack of guards and too many people in solitary so guards start throwing them in a group confinement. Maybe a small one room with two window glass where the guard on duty watches from the other side of the glass. The rooms could have no light and they get no food. It saves guards, and space. As far as the camps know this is what they're beeing used for. But perhaps some of the good mutants posing as bad guards see this as a way to benifit. So when it's their turn for a shift monitoring the cell they allow the mutants to 'train'.
Firstly they're working against the basic ellements of being in the cell- small, confined with many, little to no light, hot air from so many people, and no food. Next, they have to work at being silent enough to not draw attention and also not use their powers enough to trigger their collars. If they do trigger their collars it could be a matter of enduring them and seeing how long they can keep a power active while being shocked. It's all very taxing but would prepare some for the possibility of a breakout in which they would be working in confined situations, either unable to use their powers or only enough to not be detected, and working togeather as a team.
It makes sense to me, and Sara would make a good practice dummy. I believe Ayesac might be willing to work as a guard if we wanted to have more than one thread, Hunter putting Michel as the other if he wished... If what I am saying is making sense.
As far as the guards shoving all of the inmates in one cell that would make sense, especially if they ran out of solitary rooms. Not to mention if they were to say, see two mutants supposedly going at it in a fight, they would probably hold off stepping in thinking this would be part of the punishment. This training sessions would be a good chance for the mutants to fool the guards as well. If the guards are thinking that the mutants are turning against each other they'll think they are winning (I know James would) and so their guard will drop as time goes by. We could even stage some fake arguments in the camps between inmates to pretend to fool people more.

yeah exactly. I think there's some talk of working it into the breakout plot. So, we'll get the ok from Enigma and start up a thread! Ayesac sounds great, haha get him to post here if he's interested too!

OK SO HERE'S THE DEAL FOR THE TRAINING. I wont post any OOC's in the thread.
If you're going to post in it, come on in! The idea is pretty much as listed above. We've heard rumors of a breakout and we're using the guards treatment of us as a way to train. Solitary is overflowing with the living (and dead!) and guards have started tossing us in group confinement. So far Shield is working as a guard (hopefully more will be in on it) Here's what I posted earlier which pretty much describes it all:
"So, Raina does something to get in trouble with the guards, there aren't many solitary cells left anymore due to the merging of the camps and lack of guards and too many people in solitary so guards start throwing them in a group confinement.
It's all very taxing but would prepare some for the possibility of a breakout in which they would be working in confined situations, either unable to use their powers or only enough to not be detected, and working togeather as a team."
Just to ellaborate, it's only happening when the guards on our side are watching us. This could mean sitting in group confienment through many guards shifts until one comes along who would allow us to train unless we stage it simply as an argument or right between two mutants in which case they have to be careful about using powers. (remember I said part of the reason could be to push themselves to withstand shocks or see how long they could last)
I'm thinking this is something that we could assume was pre-organized to a degree with the mutants before we post inthe thread so we can post in the present tense and assume people know why they are there.
That's all I can think of for now, feel free to ask questions and run with your own thing. I'll post the first thread right after this one and hopefully it'll be self explanatory. Feel free to do your own thing just try and stay consistant with the camps!
I can offer you Doug as a guard-in-on-the-scam, as well... he's not (officially) a mutant guard, but at least some of the inmates know he's a sympathizer.
I'm not being able to follow all threads, though -- not even most, really -- so please PM me if you want Doug to show up somewhere.
