The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The question surprises Sonya/Teresa. "Well, it’s not like I live there. I mean, sure, there are mutants who are too obvious to walk the streets anymore, but folks like you and me don’t really have that problem, right?" She shrugs one-shouldered as she drives.
"’course, you can stay there if you want… they have dorms set up, and stuff. Lots of folks are doing that. Gets pretty dull after a while, though, if y’ask me… I prefer to get out more. Besides, there’s still a lot of unregistered mutants on the street who are looking for somewhere safe to stay, and I’ve hooked a few of ‘em up with the Labs while I’m out and about."
After some more desultory conversation, and a quick message left on Abyss and Syn's voicemails, they arrive at the Mondragon Labs parking lot and Sonya leads Gore to the appropriate entry.

Jason and the woman pulled up the drive way of the labs. Ahh how Jason was dreading the visit back to this place. Maybe if it wasn’t so boring or more going on he would have minded it all that much but this place was more boring then going to a funeral of someone that he didn’t even know. Jason looked over at the young woman giving her a look a grief and made his way out the car. The two walked the halls with little chatter. Jason felt like he was walking the green mile it was time for him to go sit in the Chair of boredom.
They had passed by a few things Jason remembered and finally stopped in front of the labs. Last time other then his room and the kitchen Jason didn’t get around much. The door swung open and the two entered. Jason gave a quick glance of the room. Nothing out of the ordinary. So he wondered over to the other side of the room and flopped down on this sofa/couch looking thing. “So I heard you call some friends. Are these the ones that you would like me to meet?” He ask trying to get a little more info on what was gonna be happening in the near future.
As he waited for her response he began to think about the camp and all the horrible things that had happen and went into his own world. Well the whole time he was in his world back on earth his right hand was acting up again. It began to shake pretty much out of control but not enough to shake him back to reality. The open sores began to bleed and turn to stone then as soon as he woke he looked down and his hand and everything was fine. Looking around, he looked to see If the young lady and witnessed anything. Maybe well he was here he could figure out what was going on what was happening to him. “So are your friends coming?” he ask as he blurted out of no where.
> “So I heard you call some friends. Are these the ones that you would like me to meet?”
Sonya/Teresa nods. "Yeah, exactly… hopefully one of ‘em checked their messages by now. Abyss in particular; he spends most of his time hanging around the Labs, so he’s usually pretty plugged in to what’s going on. "
She was about to explain more about the raid – not that she had too much information about it herself – when she noticed that Jason had kind of tranced out, and his right hand was experiencing some kind of tremor. She hadn’t noticed the sores on his hand before, but now they were bleeding freely… except instead of dripping blood on the floor, the blood was clotting immediately. It seemed a lot harder than a typical blood clot, though.
Weird. I wonder if he needs a doctor?
Pretty soon he seemed to recover from it, though, and looked around furtively. > “So are your friends coming?”
"I expect so," she replies, leaning back on a comfortable chair. "Meantime… are you OK? You need to see a doctor or anything?"

Jason looked kind of puzzled at the lady in front of him cause he had no idea what in the hell she was talking about. He looked down at his hand. Sure his hand was bleeding a little but it always does. Its just a side effect of his ability. Just something he has learned to cope with over his life. Jason reached into his pocket pulling out a black leather glove and slide it over his hand. This way if no body saw the blood then there would be no questions to be asked. Jason got up trying to shake the weird feeling out of his hand and try not to let the girl in the room catch on but he new she was smart. He knew that she would catch on quick.
Jason looked out a window at all the tree’s and open area that surrounded the labs. The sun was out and it was a beautiful day but for Jason everything was black. After coming back here all he could do was think about the camp. He was a strong man. No he was a strong mutant. And he was proud to be called a mutant cause that’s what man feared. But he feared the camps. “At the camp’s I seen what it was like to be normal. I seen what it was not like to fear someone else. I remember one night everything was calm that day. I didn’t start nothing… which was a first… and know guards paid me any attention to me. Till that night. All I remember was waking up and being dragged off to a room where there had to be at least 10 guards.” the pain in Jason’s voice was easily heard. He stood there staring out the window his fist balled up. Little drops of blood were dripping out his glove and to the floor. As the blood dripped on the floor upon contact it could have been swept away cause it was nothing more then dust.
“There was nothing I could do… I tried to fight them… defend my self. When I woke up I was in a box for four days. Drops of water was all I got at times. That place can break some anybody it broke me.” Jason paused and was quite. He was now sitting below the window ceil with his face in his hands. A few sniffles could be heard coming from behind his hands. Finally his hands dropped but not a sign of a tear, or anything. Now Jason just had a face of pain, grief, evil…
(( OOC: Sorry I’ve been gone so long… RL is beating me up, and it isn’t done with me yet. Dropping off thread so as to not delay y’all further)
The puzzled look on Jason’s face inspires a puzzled expression of her own… he is bleeding, after all. But from the way he ignores it, except to cover it with a glove, she assumes he’s used to it… either some kind of chronic medical condition or an aspect of his mutation.
Then she notices how the blood dripping on the floor seems to disappear without a trace, and decides on the latter. Weird… I wonder how that works. Not for the first time, she wishes she knew how to make sense of all the information she gets from mutants when she touches them. She can recognize the genetic anomaly associated with mutation in general, but specifics are beyond her.
She wonders if imprinting on a geneticist or something like that would help her make sense of it all. Worth a shot, someday. But her attention is brought back to Jason as he tells his story about the Camps, and has a bit of an emotional breakdown. She’s surprised by that… she’s seen it happen before to Camp inmates, but he’d given the impression of being made of tougher stuff. Oh well… just goes to show you can’t judge a book by its cover. She wonders how he managed to break out in the first place.
Fortunately, Abyss arrives by this point, which spares her the need to respond.
> " You coming along for this one? Or is he just another delivery and you are gonna go running around the city again?"
That earns him a grin. "Well, you know me, Red. Stay in one place too long, I get twitchy." She shrugs. "And I should get home and catch some Zs before I pass out altogether. But he’s not just another delivery… turns out he’s been a Camp inmate… you probably caught that part… and he busted out, like that jet-pack guy who brought me and the kid in last month. I figure he’s probably safer in here than out there, if his description’s being circulated, and also that he might have some useful intel on Camp security and stuff."
Looking back to Jason she adds, not unsympathetically, "You can relax… Abyss, he’s a good guy. You’re safe here; you’ll never have to go back to the Camps… least, not unless you want to help us trash the place, when the time comes."
With that she waves goodbye to both men and makes her way back to the lobby.
