The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

(OOC: Ok, this is the big meeting of the Resistance. Now, due to the fact that we will have almost 20 people in this thread there are a few rules. First and foremost, there is a posting order. That order will be the order you arrive in, so I will be first, then whoever posts after me second and so on. You are not to break this order. You post only when it is your turn. Important things will be decided in this thread, so it is important that you stick to the posting order so everyone can make their voice heard. If you post out of order your post will be ignored. Ok, now onto the meeting.)
IC: Hunter entered the War Room and made his way to his usual seat. He immediately fired up the computer and holographic projector, but didn’t put anything up on display. Instead he would wait for everyone to arrive before beginning.
He had several things already planned, but a lot of other things were open to change depending on everyone’s input. Now he waited. His only concern was of conflict between the Order and the mansion residents, but the fact that none of the X-men had managed to escape reduced that probability.

IC: Shogun was told by one of Antonescu's employees to go to the war room. After eliciting directions, he made his way there. He still got a few strange looks from people as he walked through the corridors in what they would assume to be a dress, but he ignored them. He arrived at the war room, and only Antonescu had arrived before him. He could sense a few other people nearby who were also headed for the room, and assumed that Antonescu had called some form of meeting. Shogun's reason for being there was as yet unknown to him.
He bowed respectfully to his lord. "Greetings Antonescu." Unsure where to sit, he choose instead to stand where he was. Antonescu then instructed him to sit down, so he chose the seat next to him. From what he could tell, there were quite a few people headed to the room. This could be very interesting. So far, he had only met very few of his fellow 'employees', and they were all vastly different in many ways. There was Kitra, who was a half-decent swordswoman and archer; Nox, a very serious and competitive knife-fighter; Gearhead, who could control machines; Doctor Ingram, an unparalleled genius but the sort of man everyone hated; and Calley, a skitsophrenic tiger. If others under Hunter's employ were as interesting, then this meeting could be very enlightening.
Deja heard about the meeting, and decided to walk into the room to discuss. As she made her way inside, she noticed two others. As she looked at the two, she noticed one bowed. She quickly, smiled and took her seat waiting for the others. She hoped Geo would be here soon, she didn't trust Hunter, and the other one creeped her out. For now she just waited for the others.
Tristan walked into the danger room, he wuickly examined the room and spotted Deja, he smiled at her and took the seat next to her giving her a small kiss on the cheek as he sat down, he looked over to the others at the table and gave them a simple nod. This was the big leagues, he didn't want to seem like a chump. He wanted a chance to fight for mutants, not be stuck at the kids table.
When Calley walked in he, of course, went to sit with his fellow Mansion residents. He looked only briefly--and with a sort of glancing, unfamiliar curiosity--at Shogun and the Scary Boss Man as he passed them to take a seat next to Geo. He trusted in the Boss Man to have spread the word about his back story amongst the Kabal members. And if things went horribly terribly wrong here, the absolute worst thing that would happen would be that his human (and tiger) forms would be exposed as the adept information gatherers that they were. It was nice, havin' nobody but Hunter and a select few of the man's employees know about his real mutation. There was a certain sense of job security in that.
"Hello, Deja," he greeted the pair of already present Mansion residents, "Hey, Tristan."
He'd be interested to see where this meeting went. One thing Calley knew already: whatever was planned out here wouldn't involve him. He'd already laid the foundations for that by telling Tristan and Deja that he didn't intend to fight for the Resistence, and he'd probably be repeating that for the hearing convenience of everyone else present, at some point. A mere supporting character in the Resistance's story: that was him!
After all, the Boss Man probably had quite different plans for him.
(OOC: Posted with Hunter's permission. Any questions on 'how', ask him, lol)
Vibe entered the room, scowling and with arms crossed. She didn't like being told what to do, but yet she fully intended to be part of this 'Resistance', so she swallowed her pride enough to follow directions she'd been given. Basically she wanted to find out as much as possible about these 'Stalkers', and what had happened to her sister. After that, she didn't plan on being the least bit cooperative with anything else.
She didn't recognize anyone in the room, except for that annoying brother of Kitra's, the one who kept calling her 'Grumpy'. Grumpy didn't even begin to describe her current mood.....
She took herself to the opposite side of the table, half way between the Mansion group and the Kabal group, and plopped down in a chair, half-sliding down. Ignoring everyone else, she began tapping the table irritably. After the first few taps, a small panel slid out of the table and a flat keyboard appeared, so silently that it even took Vibe by surprise. She blinked and stared at the tiny screen blankly. The words 'Type Your Message' stared back at her. Without moving her head she looked up, as if over a pair of glasses, at the others in the room.
Vibe never was one to bother with electronics, but some things were necessary evils in this world, like typing. Irritated, yet intrigued, she typed in --
"Why?"
The redhead looked up in surprise as a feminine voice flowed into the room and spoke what she had typed. One eyebrow raised. The faintest glimmer of a mischevious smile pulled at her lips.
Katrina followed Calley into the "War Room", which she thought was a bit ominous sounding. She tried her best to look like she belonged there and knew what she was doing. She half expected Mr. Antonytail to ask her to leave, telling her she was too young to be at a meeting to plan a war. When he didn't immediately ask her to leave, she relaxed a little bit more and took a seat next to Cally, waving to Deja and Geo as she sat down. If these three were old enough to be at the meeting than she was too.
Katrina didn't plan on fighting, but she did want to know what was going on. She wasn't about to be the only person living at at the complex who didn't know what was going on. Besides, while this meeting would probably be long and boring, it would seem even longer if she was stuck outside with no one to talk to.
There were several other people already there that Katrina hadn't met. Mr. Antonytail was looking professional and politician like as he waited for everyone to arrive. Next to him was a person in a Samurai outfit that looked pretty cool. And there was a redheaded girl sitting across the table that had a keyboard in front of her. And there were still lots more people coming in. Katrina turned to watch as more and more mutants filled into the room.
Syn entered the room and immediately she looked to see who was already there. She noted Vibe right away and sat next to her and gave the girl a reassuring wink. Several of the others she didn't know and could only guess that they were from the mansion. Syn smiled to any who noticed her but since there were still people entering the room she remained silent...for now.

Nicki shook her head as she ran into the room where the meeting of the resistance was going to be held. She was constantly running late so this should be no different. Nicki comforted herself with the fact that Kaz was also not too likely to have been there: he was worse about this stuff than she was.
Nicki slammed into the room, quieting herself immediately as she got there, biting her lip to show her sorry. She leaned against the wall in the back, looking at everyone. She smiled and waved at Katrina, winking at the girl again. She looked to Syn, trying to figure out if she and the Queen of Darkness were on good terms and decided to nod in greeting before turning towards Vibe and smiling.
A while after Mandain got out of the car from Nigel he saw people walking in the same directions, "mhhh meeting time already?" He followed the group since he didn't knew where he was going. After some time walking they reached some sort of room that looked like a war room. At head there was a man, next to him a eastern guy in a dress, and some more people were sitting in the room. Mandain walked further in the room choosing a place to sit with nobody next to him. He made himself comfortable and waited for what was to come, hoping that he could have a word with the guy that was in lead of this place, for the help with his alter ego.
The redhead made her way to the only area she had heard would provide a resistance. She was alone. The lone X-Man. All of them had been captured. However, to capture the one nearly non-existant was a challenge. In such a scenario, the redhead was able to use her powers to escape and plan elsewhere how best to recapture her fellow X-Men. Thus far, it seemed that there was a group including mutants from various backgrounds and morals that would provide such a fight.
It was awkward, however, to be working with a group that she was unsure of, for of course, she had no clue who all was there, word on the street had gotten around to her while she was hiding in her past, staying around her bad mutant friends for more information. Fade's clothes consisted of torn up and tattered jeans and a freshly stolen shirt. She had broken into some school and taken a shower so that her hair would not be greasy, she would not show up to this occasion the same way she showed up to the mansion. However, she was not going to enter without a fight, it would be insane. She would have to be caught, sneaking into this meeting would be ludicrious, she would not make it in anyways. She followed the directions that he source provided turned invisible before the last couple of miles had been reached. When she had it in sight, heat sensor cameras detected her which gave her a matter of seconds before she was brought into the war room as her captor thought it would be best to bring her to a certain character where her fate would be determined. Her currently blue eyes watched in suprise as she entered the meeting and her chapped lips moved before words came out.
"I have heard of a resistance. I wish to join." She said firmly, ignoring the grip on her arm. Had she really wanted to, she would have phased through his arm, but she thought it not best to make any sudden moves. Scanning the room, she did not recognize many. She recognized Dream, Syn, and of course, her cousin, Vibe. However, she had never met the others and was quite out of place. Then she saw Geo and realized that there were two mansion residents that she knew of, so that would prove to be more than satisfactory. "Let us put behind our differences, we fight for the same cause, yet by different means." She nodded at the leader, it seems. Where was Raph when the poor girl needed him?
Her uncomfortable attitude was hidden quite well by her firm attitude and calm expression followed by steady breathing and a raised eyebrow. Her best act so far. Knowing that this character at the head of the table must be the leader of the group the Kabal and that Syn was the leader of the Order, however, neither the first in command nor the second in command of the X-Men was present. Currently, it was the newest member, which wasn't so new. She looked over at the security guard and then back at the character that he was eye-ing, he was not even given a chance to speak about how he found her.
Having come directly from the roof, which was by far her new favourite part of the labs, she felt collected, ready. This meeting was exactly what she needed; hopefully the facts would finally be straightened. She knew bits and pieces, but the grey areas far out numbered that which she knew, and that was something she planned on fixing. Luckily, however, she got the feeling that most people had only some idea of what was going on, they knew what had happened concerning themselves but little more. A bigger picture, that’s what was needed, she mused as she found her way, with only minimal help, to the war room.
Her palm pressed against the door and she entered, and from the look of it she was verging on lateness, oh well they haven’t started. There was a lady, in torn jeans and a t-shirt, who seemed to be addressing the group. Nox slipped in behind her and took a seat beside the warrior, Shogun was his name, wasn’t it?, where she supposed she fitted in. She let her gaze wander around the room, mulling over the faces, of which only a few were familiar. Apart from Hunter and the warrior, there was the boy, who was pretending not to be a Kabal member. That intrigued her, Why conceal his loyalties unless some of those being deceived were here? So much for working together she thought, but then ‘Trust no one’ was in her view a wise philosophy to keep. Who else? There were two of the girls from the infirmary but that was it. She marvelled at the groups, a group of mutants, of freaks, each individually gifted, each possibly dangerous. Most were young, there were some who according to her were too young, yet here there were.
Zodiac walked into the room after waving bye to Kitra. He didnt know anybody in this room, so he thought it'd be best if he just kept to himself. He picked a seat away from others and sat down. He knew he must of been late as discussion had already commenced. Everyone in the room seemed normal but one person in the room had an "aura of leadership" about him. He was the man sitting by what looked like a Samurai from an old black and white movie. Zodiac felt that this was the man that the majority of the talking was going to come from at the meeting. Though he really didnt care who talked. Because even in this room full of people, Zodiac still felt truely alone. So he just decided to sit there, hoping that Kitra would arrive soon.
Overcast made her way into the room where the meeting was supposed to happen. She had stopped at the infirmary first and, after bandaging up with the use of the Kabal's medical supplies, had decided that she was repaired enough to get back in on the fight. She hoped that she would heal fast, but she knew that that was not her power. She came up into the room and found that she was not quite as late as she had expected herself to be: plenty of people seemed to be missing, there were only about a dozen in the room already. At least I'm not last, she thought to herself. She could see the dividing lines between the various parties present, and was surprised to see one person on her own. A redheaded x-man. It was her impression that none of the x-men had made it, but apparently one of them had. She gave the girl a once-over, wondering if she had come in contact with Jaya - that is, when Jaya was staying at the mansion for that small period of time. But no matter, surely Jaya wouldn't have told anyone about herself, Overcast was sure that this woman knew nothing about her. She took a seat next to Syn, hoping that would be alright with her, and waited for the rest of the meeting-goers to show.
Tris…….was late…..as usual…..but since Hunter seemed resigned to the fact she couldn’t keep to a set time until her watch ordered her too…..she knew he wouldn’t yell at her or anything. But he seemed preoccupied in any case, another red haired women was addressing those already gathered here. She simply nodded to him, her smile half apologetic, and slunk on silent feet to a chair next to her fellow Kabal members, slumping down into it- even if she didn’t know her team mates incredibly well yet….she knew the rest of those assembled less. …she looked around but Kit wasn’t there yet. Looking round some more, Tris was surprised to see many spaces yet to fill, meaning for once she wasn’t the last one there…….quite a change that, and a good one too. …..Tris let her glance rove over those assembled here, smiling at them, and giving a slight nod to those she vaguely recognised - Syn, that girl the other Sancturay members wanted her to see, Overcast, and Katrina, and the young couple she recognised from the mansion people…Calley was sitting with the mansion people too, but Tris didn’t say anything- what with Hunter specifically ordering her not too and all. …..Tris knew she was supposed to be thinking serious thoughts and all, what with the resistance thing and the stalkers and missing mutants and stupid humans and all……but she knew they’d get into all that when everybody had assembled…..but until then, Tris’s thoughts drifted, her hands twirling her short hair vaguely …..While looking round this gathering, something began to trouble her slightly…….she looked and counted- her, Syn, the girl with Syn, the girl in the ripped jeans who was standing up and talking……and Kit who had yet to come…….alll red hair…….hmmmmm, it is pretty and I love it and all…….but maybe its time for change, Tris thought vaguely- maybe brown, or something alittle more striking, like all black and bright blue and purple highlights, hmmmmm….. Tris’s mind wandered, considering these intrigued possibilities…..
