Nicki's mind was racing. She was thinking about Hunter, and about Katrina She was thinking about Nail and about Kaz. She couldn't focus on anything...just that everything was happening so fast.

Nicki sighed as she nuzzled her head against Kaz's, thinking a little. She kissed his temple and pulled away a little more. "I'm not sure I trust him..." Nicki whispered softly, playing with Kaz's hair again. "But if you think we can...than it's a close issue," Nicki shrugged a little again.

"And thanks for letting the stuff with Nail rest..."

Kaz could tell Nicki had a lot on her mind, and while he'd quite love to say something to alleviate her worries, he wasn't one to lie, not that he could get away with that, or say something that wasn't true or that he didn't believe. At least not to her. She deserved better than that.

Kaz gave Nicki a slight smile, "I don't know him as well as I know, Abyss, and not nearly as well as you. But I think we can trust him. There's also that old saying: Keep your friends close, but your enemies closer." Kaz realized that what he said could be taken that Hunter COULD be an enemy...but he already said it, and hoped Nicki would be able to understand what he meant.

"And thanks for letting the stuff with Nail rest..."

Kaz nodded to her. "Not a problem. It wasn't the time or place. There are defiantly bigger things to deal with. But, if he wants to duke it out, or talk about it later, I'm willing to deal with it then." Before Kaz could say anymore, his phone vibrated in his pocket. Pulling it out he listened to the message from Hunter. Sighing he looked at Nicki, his face showing a mix of embarrassment and annoyance, "Um...Hunter wants me to meet him and talk about what's goin on...I'm guessing about what to do and the specifics." It would be easy to tell from his tone and expression that he felt bad about it, but also that it had to be done.

Nicki smiled as Kaz looked to his phone and explained the situation. "Go, please. It's okay, I promise," Nicki smiled, leaning over and kissing Kaz for a moment. "Have a good meeting, I'll go wander around for a little while." she smiled brightly, letting Kaz know she would be okay. It'd be weird...but fine.
