The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Nicki walked around the Labs, trying to reaquaint herself with the grounds. A lot of times, after a Overload Sleep, she would lose some basic information she had acquired lately and, while that didn't seem to have happened too much this time around, she didn't know the Labs all that well to begin with. Luckily, she managed to find what she was looking for: The Canteen.
Nicki fetched herself a soda and straw before sitting down at a random spot and sighing in relaxation. She felt out of place here...really out of place. But that was to be expected: Nicki felt out of place everywhere. She only vaguely fit into her own skin, and in this place, she didn't even do that all that well. But oh well, she was fairly good at faking it.
The only problem was, she was suddenly having a harder time keeping her mouth shut...she didn't know what that was about anyway. She usually could be nice and quiet but since she got here, she was a little more talkative about things she should probably be quiet about...like not trusting Hunter. She shook her head...deciding she was too tired to reflect on this for too long.

Vibe wandered into the Canteen with her head down, concentrating on her shoes. She'd bought a new set of sandals after her run in with Naveed, open-toed and sling-backed with a short heel. They were earth-toned, and being vain-minded, she kept checking to see if they actually matched the rest of her new outfit.
Still not satisfied, but hungry enough to be distracted, she looked up to grab a granola bar. Out of the corner of her eye, she saw a familiar figure sitting nearby.
"Nicki!" She covered the distance fairly quickly, and tossed her arms around the girl in a bear hug. "You're awake!"
Vibe wasn't one to care about many people other than her sister. But after all that had happened over the past months, she'd began forming attachments to others, mainly the Order members, and Kaz and Nicki. She hadn't been all that thrilled when they'd first met Nicki, but she was also one of the few that Vibe could communicate with without help. Vibe found herself unusually excited to see the girl awake and moving.
"What happened to you?"
She'd seen Kaz moping around, and figured it was because Nicki was unconscious. But she'd never managed to corner him long enough to find out what was wrong. The doctors didn't know either, so they were no help.
In her excitement, she forgot that the last time she'd seen Nicki, Vibe hadn't been able to speak aloud. She also forgot to move her lips along with the words that seemed to come directly from her throat.

Nicki smiled as her head filled with Vibe's familiar voice. Even though the two had formed a friendship in the past few weeks, Nicki was still surprised as hell when Vibe was suddenly embracing her. Nicki smiled and patted Vibe's back.
Vibe! Oh my God girlie, I'm so glad to see you! How are you? Is everything okay? Nicki thought as she pulled back from Vibe and smiled brightly again. Sorry to scare you about the knocked out thing. I do this fun little gag where I sometimes overload on information and stuff and slip into what I call Overload Sleep. It happens, but I come out of and am totally fine...I just never remember what happened before.
Nicki kept her hand linked with Vibe and pulled her down, sitting with her. So catch me up. What's been going on?

(OOC: Hope I got the timelines right on certain things. If not, I'll edit.)
"Overload Sleep? I thought you were in a coma or something." Vibe was relieved.
She shrugged a bit at the next question. "I dunno. Depends on what you call 'going on'. A lot of planning to breakout the Camps, I guess. A bunch of us played this training game, like Mega Hide and Seek. It was supposed to teach teamwork, I think." She blushed a bit, know she'd failed badly at working as a team. She wouldn't admit it outloud, but she did feel bad about having hampered her team like she had.
"Um, some of the group have left to try and catch one of those Bucket of Bolts. To strip 'em down, or something like that. They were going to do something else, but I'm not sure what. Something about the shock bracelets." She couldn't completely hide her apprehension that always came when talking about the Stalker bots. Speaking of which....
"One of the Stalkers went berzerk in a mall the other day, and killed a bunch of people." She didn't feel any guilt at all that the robot had been chasing her; it wasn't her fault that the bot couldn't tell mutants from humans. And she hadn't commissioned them.
She thought for a moment longer, trying to recall any other events over the past days.
Cyra yawned as she got out of bed. It had been a tedious evening yesterday with the training. She rolled her eyes, trying to find Katrina had been silly. But, being made to work with people she hadn’t known was good for her. She was refreshed and hungry. Cyra grabbed a pair of black pants and a purple quarter sleeve shirt. After dressing she left her room and made her way to the canteen.
She grabbed a few plates, putting them on her tray after filling one with all sorts of fruit, the other filled with sausage, eggs and hash browns. She looked around as she filled her glass with orange juice. She finally spotted a table with only one young lady. Layered brown hair, blue eyes rimmed in a pair of black glasses. ‘Pretty little chick, looks a bit geeky though.’ Cyra shrugged inwardly, as long as she was here, better to make allies then enemies. Before she could get over there however, another young gal rushed over to her. ’ So Nicki is her name, who’s the other one then?’ She picked up her tray and made her way over to the table. She smiled, “Mind if I join you both?”

Nicki smiled as Vibe started eagerly listened to everything she was saying. She had missed Vibe a lot. Nicki was even surprised at her own attachment to the girl sitting next to her: she wasn't typically friends with very many people, fewer of which were female, but there was something in Vibe that really made Nicki like her a lot.
Overload Sleep is a lot like a coma outside of the fact that, from my own experience, there is no chance of me not coming out of it. It happens, but hey, at least my powers are insanely intense at the moment.
Nicki silenced herself and enjoyed Vibe's storytelling about what had happened the last couple of days. Don't worry chica, when they put you and I together on the field, they'll be blown away by how cohesive you and I work.Nicki smiled again and bumped Vibe with her shoulder.
Nicki and Vibe's conversation was broken when someone else entered "earshot". Hey, we got a visitor... Nicki mentioned to Vibe before they girl joined the two.
"Sure, you can join us, but I'd ask you to refrain from calling me geeky looking in your head." Nicki smiled brightly. "I'm Nicki. This is Vibe."

(OOC: I'm using brackets for the mental thoughts, just to keep them straight for my sake. lol)
>Overload Sleep is a lot like a coma outside of the fact that, from my own experience, there is no chance of me not coming out of it. It happens, but hey, at least my powers are insanely intense at the moment.<
"That's a relief.... Kaz was mental enough as it is. He'd lose it if you didn't come out."
Vibe rolled her eyes. Her crush on the silver-haired mutant had been fleeting like so many others, especially since she picked up on how close he'd gotten to Nicki. She was a little jealous, yeah, but there were way too may other cute guys around to dwell on it.
>Don't worry chica, when they put you and I together on the field, they'll be blown away by how cohesive you and I work.< Nicki nudged her shoulder, and Vibe smiled back. It was almost like having Amp back....
Her smile faded a bit in sadness.
>Hey, we got a visitor...<
“Mind if I join you both?”
Vibe's smile vanished completely as she glanced up at the newcomer. It wasn't necessarily that she dislike being interupted. She was an equal opportunist; she was equally unfriendly to any newcomers. She gave the asian woman a bland once-over.
"Sure, you can join us, but I'd ask you to refrain from calling me geeky looking in your head. I'm Nicki. This is Vibe."
Vibe smirked, remembering when Nicki had caught her and Amp off-guard with that telepathic trick.
Cyra blinked, slightly stunned. 'She must be some sort of telepath, interesting. And geeky isn't a bad thing. Ah, crap she can hear everything I'm thinking.' Cyra turned red, "Sorry about that and geeky isn't a bad thing, just a style." She set her tray down and sat down. "I'm Cyra, nice to meet you Nicki and Vibe. I also happen to be new here. Mind telling me how everything works?"
