The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kitra arrived at the Canteen. She didn't see her boss yet. She walked over to the counter to grab some chow. She had piled sausage, scrambled eggs, a piece of toast, along with some hashbrowns. She turned to look for Hunter and blushed slightly. You would think that they had never seen a girl in a skirt before....or a tank top. Kitra mentally smacked herself as she sat at an empty table and prayed that she would find her boss real quick.
Hunter walked into the canteen dressed in his usual expensive suit. He spotted Kitra and went over and sat down opposite her giving her a warm smile. “I hope you slept well. Once you’ve eaten we’ll start training, if that’s alright with you.”
He didn’t want to push her to hard, but he was eager to keep going. She had shown good progress in their first session, and had great potential. After a few more one on one sessions he would start to train Tris and Kitra together, building up their ability to work together and forming bonds as team mates.

Calley
Calley was sleepy. Which was to say, Calley wasn't awake enough to notice the Scary Boss Man sitting at a canteen table when he first stumbled in to find himself some breakfast. He was plenty awake enough to realize it after he'd gotten his food and had already sitten down at the table right next to him. It was either that, or next to some of the more burly gaurds that he didn't know. ...He should have picked the gaurds.
"Gah-!" His reaction was semi-dignified. In other words: though some of his scrambled eggs might have become airborne when he jerked his hand, they all landed back on his tray. Hastily, he stood up, and sort of bobbed a bow. "Good morning, Sir." Only then did he notice the other occupant of the table. "Oh. Mornin', Kitra," he said, much less stifly. "You workin' here?"
Hunter nodded to Calley in response to the bow before explaining. “Calley’s another employee of mine,” Hunter said, “I take it you two have met, so won’t bother with introductions.” He knew full well they had met, he had seen it on Calley’s necklace camera. But he didn’t divulge that information, and neither would Calley if he knew what was good for him.
“Calley here is a informant of mine. He essentially wonders around keeping his ears open for anything I might find useful. He’s managed to pick up a few gems,” Hunter explained to Kitra before turning to Calley, “Kitra is the latest member of the retrieval group I was talking to you about Calley. Once breakfast was over we were going to go and train.”

Calley
Calley had been waiting for an invitation to sit back down, but he'd settle for a distinct lack of orders to remain standing. He plopped himself back down (edging a little further from the Boss Man), and delcared quite happily to Kitra: "The Boss Man feeds me." And threatened to explode him. And was in the habit of picking him up by the throat during every conversation they'd ever had. Details, details. "Training, huh? That's cool. You kinda looked a little wobbly last night, towards the end of that, ah, lovely conversation we had with those gentlemen. And you kept being all unnecessary-movement-ish." He commented, digging into his eggs. Eggs first, then bacon. One must save the best for last.
"Well, that's cool Calley. And yes, I do know about last night. Thanks though." Kitra looked at Hunter, "Sir, may Calley come watch? It might prove to be more informative(grins) to have another sit in on the training."
Kitra was almost finished with her breakfast and took a sip of her milk as she waited for a response.
Hunter smiled at the suggestion, though was in truth far from enthusiastic. “Sure, I don’t see why not,” he said in a pleasant tone. Turning to Calley he gave him a look that Kitra couldn’t see which said You’d better behave. “You’re not to busy are you Calley?”
While he wasn’t happy with the situation it wasn’t a total loss. The kid might be able to offer an insight about Kitra, and at the very least as he had sword training planned it would serve as a reminder to Calley to stay in line.

Calley
Calley nearly choked on his beautiful bountious bacon when the Scary Boss Man looked at him. He made 'excuse me' flutters with his hands, and hastily downed his orange juice. Sputtered a little. Coughed again. Then smiled alarmingly broadly. "That sounds great." Great like a bowl of scorpions dropped on his head. "Naw, I've got nothing planned today." Except not getting thrown into a wall. "I'd love to come." Right after he was done vomitting internally.
Smile, smile. Sincere, sincere. He really hoped Kitra wasn't a mind reader.
Kitra grinned, "Thank you Sir. I'm ready when you are." Kitra looked at Calley, "I hope you find it interesting. I just started last night. It's been very helpful actually."
Still smiling Hunter rose and headed for the training area. “We’d best get started then Kitra,” he said pleasantly as he headed for the exit. He would have to change first, but was quite looking forward to the session.
