The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Shogun didn't miss a thing. He had long ago learnt to watch multiple people at once, and this was no problem, so he could quite happily follow everything everyone said. But he couldn't shake the feeling of being watched, as though someone was up above where Kaz had been. But he didn't sense anyone, so he ignored it. He made a note of each person's powers as they said it, matching each to their personality. It wasn't hard, as it seemed that many mutants had a power that suited what they were like.
He noted that Tris hadn't mentioned the more explosive side of her power before, and also noted what Hades said. So he wasn't actually a mutant, just an enhanced human. That still didn't explain the ripples he left floating behind him. He'd have to talk to him about that later. He also noted the girl in the corner; she seemed to be doing something. Ripples went through her body, and she seemed to glimmer, and fade. He could still sense her, but it was harder. Like something had been pulled over her. Was she a mutant? That would make sense, why else would she be here? He noticed that when people moved so that they wouldn't be able to see her, she stopped using her power, and he could sense the usual bubbliness of children. This intrigued him, so he decided to find out.
He still didn't bother letting anyone else know she was there, otherwise she would be sent away and he would have to wait until after they were finished preparing, or even after the mission itself, before he got a chance to satiate his curiosity. He went to lean against the wall next to where she was hiding, and slid until he was sat down. He kept his head straight, as always, but murmered to the girl. "Hello there. I'm sure you're not supposed to be here." He was glad of the mask, as anyone looking would just see him sitting next to a wall.
As soon as she heard someone coming over to her hiding place, she had switched back to invisibity mode. Don't see me, don't realize I'm here. It didn't matter, because it was Shogun. He said himself that he could sense living things, which meant he knew she was there from the very beginning and invisibility wouldn't work on him, especially since he was blind anyway.
The samurai sat down at the wall next to her hiding place. What would his first impression be of the little eavesdropper he had just caught? He was supposed to be catching Stalkers, not eavesdroppers. He still wasn't giving her away to the others, but he was making her feel guilty with his, “Hello there. I'm sure you're not supposed to be here.” She wasn't quite sure how to respond to his statement: apologize, give an excuse? He was talking very quietly, so no one else could hear them. As soon as he had spoken to her she had slowly let her invisibility illusion fade away, since it didn't matter anymore.
“I'm sorry for spying on you, I was curious about the Stalkers,” she whispered. Her eyes were downcast. She hoped he didn't judge her too harshly or make her look foolish in front of all the others.
Kitra had been passing by when she heard Hades state his name and power. 'Ah, that's right, that meeting for catching a stalker robot. Well, I think I shall join. Sounds interesting enough.'She shook her head slightly and stepped into the room. "My name is Kitra. I bring my drawings into being. Weaponery, images of people, you name it. As long as I draw it, I can bring it into being." She blinked, "I also have a decent amount of stamina and can hold my own in a fight." She took a deep breath, "Anything else that needs to be known about me, well just ask."

Kaz listened quietly as each person present said who they were and described their abilities. Like Shogun, Kaz showed his disapproval of Tris and Venus by sighing. From what he had heard from everyone, he doubted any of them could hear what the two had said in the other room. If it had gone on much longer, or Venus' heart had been silent for a few more moments, he would have intruded on the pair without hesitation.
He knew he wasn't doing the best of jobs being the 'leader'. It wasn't a roll that fit him well, he had never done it. He was a loner, and worked alone for the most part. Other's tended to be more of a hindrance than help. But, he knew he couldn't get the Stalker by himself.
After everyone finished, Kaz looked to Hades. "Hades, you're a gadget man. Do you think you could design a rubber suit or something for Voltaire? I'd rather not have him accidentally blowing things up here in the lab or harming anyone or anything." He turned to Tris, "Now I understand why Venus' heart stopped for roughly 30 seconds. You froze him. Please refrain from doing that again. I know that if you had harmed him, Abyss and the others wouldn't be to pleased."
"Mandian was it? If I remember from the meeting, you said your ion destroys technology. If you're going to join us, do not use that ion unless there is no other choice. By that, I mean, unless we're extremely outmatched and it is not going our way whatsoever. This mission is not to destroy a Stalker or render it useless for study."
Kaz was quiet for a bit more as he looked at the group, he noted Shogun move to sit against the wall where a hidden heartbeat and breathing was coming from. He didn't miss the near silent exchange of words. Though he was surprised who it was hiding, Katrina. Sighing inwardly as he moved towards Shogun and Katrina. "Curiosity killed the cat." He said as he got near, though he winked towards Shogun and Katrina, only those two would be able to see it.
Veering slightly, Kaz picked up the cat by the scruff of it's neck while continuing past Kitra who had just entered the room. <Where are all these random animals coming from?> Stepping into the hall, taking care not to get too close to Voltaire, he gently tossed the furball down the halls a short ways. Turning to Voltaire, "I'll be shutting the door. In or out." He looked at Kitra. "You're late. If you don't take the meeting time seriously, why should I trust you'll take the mission seriously?"
Standing next to the door while he waited for Voltaire, "I suppose I should introduce myself. Kaz Corydon, AKA Sarrus the Dragon. My senses are enhanced. For example, I can hear each of your individual heartbeats easily, and small the subtle differences in each of your scents. My body neutralizes any and all toxins or poisons. In this form I'm extremely fast and agile. In my shifted form, I'm extremely durable with strength few could match." He looked and motioned in Abyss' direction, "Except for Abyss and the boys." Taking a breath. "I'm also a master swordsman and martial artist, having mastered six styles."
"We seem to have plenty of muscle, firepower, and versatility. I wont say this will be a cake-walk, but I'm not too worried. What it seems we don't have is a means of quick escape if something goes wrong. It may seem like a step backwards to figure out an escape plan first, but I'd rather not loose anyone on this mission." He looked around at the group once more. "Feel free to voice your thoughts."
Voltaire lifted his shoulders and said:"Well it's your funeral." He stepped into the room before kaz could close the door. He stepped took one of the empty spots on one of the walls. He found himself standing like a meter away from the woman named Tris. He looked around again to see if nobody came to close to him. He looked at Hades and found it hard to imagine that he was a genetic enhanced human who helped mutants. "Isn't he somekind of government spy, that was here to bring the resistance down or something" He thought. "Ow well, we will see what happens.

"Hades, you're a gadget man. Do you think you could design a rubber suit or something for Voltaire? I'd rather not have him accidentally blowing things up here in the lab or harming anyone or anything."
“Aite!” said Hades, he pulled a gadged out of his pocket, pointed at Voltaire and said “Don’t move” A beam of blue light shot from the device and played itself over Voltaire’s body Hades then hit some more buttons. He turned to Kaz “The suit will be ready and delivered in 20 minutes sir” Turning to Voltaire, he explained, “It is basically an insulated version of a jumpsuit, but if we have more time I may, depending on what your mutation is, be able to help make something that could help you channel your powers.”

“I don’t know about escape, but I have just given Abyss some gear that could keep stalkers occupied.” Said Hades looking at Abyss. “But if you want vehicles to help in the getaway… up to you.”
Hades came to Mandain asking what he could do for him. Mandain looked up from his shield and let it down, and of course got up. "Yeah, could you build some sort of motorcycle with some nice things on it, like nitrous, make some guns, and of course a nice design" When Mandain said those words it was like a new little kid getting a present. One of the people started forming a team, mentioning Mandain. "Yeah, ill keep myself busy with the stalkers we don't need" he said with a grin on his face.

He didn't blame the little girl for wanting to have a look in. Children were always curious; a trait which, sadly, didn't always pass on to adulthood. He didn't get a chance to respond, as Kaz began actually acting as a leader. Shogun gave him the barest of nods at his subtle noticing of the girl, before he threw the cat out and gave exploding-man a chance to ocme in. Hades used some form of device, and stated that he would have a suit for explode-a-man soon. Impressive.
Getaway? Not something Shogun would be particularly great on, unless... "Do we know how fast the Stalkers are? If they are only as fast as a man I could easily outrun them on my horse. Also, being mounted would give an advantage anyway." Mandain offered to help with the Stalkers they didn't need; good, as if he could disable the other ones then capturing one would be that much easier. "May i make a suggestion? Simple battle plan; Mandain, Abyss and his friends, Tris, and anyone else with enough firepower handle the Stalkers we don't want. Others, such as Kit and perhaps Kaz, could subdue one of the Stalkers and capture it. I can give you a warning of any non-robot infantry up to about fifty metres away, regardless of any form of camoflage or hiding, and I can confidently defeat them. It would be even easier if Hades could create some armour for my horse." He didn't want his horse injured, and he directed his maskat Hades to show that it was something he would very much like. If it could be metal-repellant as well, all the better.
While in the Digital Plane with Crystal, Gearhead made an announcement into the training room, "The training simulator will be offline until further notice."

Shogun's suggestion sounded like a good idea. "I'll help with the other robots as well. As for asking how fast those things are...I can tell you that they are alot faster than a normal human and I'm sure they're much stronger too. They move much more like animals than people. I'm sure anyone who has seen them in person will agree."
Tris hadn’t been happy to do the full disclosure thing with her powers, but the comforting thought was everyone else had to do the same. She listening closely, though her slouching position against the wall suggested she wasn’t as interested as she actually was- it was all rather fascinating to Tris, the types of powers out there, and she had to smile and wave as Kit walked into the room, glad her friend had decided to join them.
…When they’d finished, that was when Kaz decided to started doing the whole ‘I am the boss’ thing, throwing his weight around and forming a plan. …None of which Tris minded, he wasn’t her actual boss, but Hunter had put him in charge temporarily, and she’d give him a fair go as long as he didn’t order her to do anything to crazy. However, she didn’t particular like his approach of chewing her out before the whole group- Tris being of the school of thought able to quickly forget she had acted totally unprofessionally just minutes ago;
He turned to Tris, "Now I understand why Venus' heart stopped for roughly 30 seconds. You froze him. Please refrain from doing that again. I know that if you had harmed him, Abyss and the others wouldn't be to pleased."
Tris scowled and turned to Venus, mockingly miming Kaz’s “Please refrain from doing that again” for afew second so only her teammate could see, before whispering with a smile; “Like I’d freeze you longer anyway…..you’re too much fun alive and moving.” She winked in a highly suggestive fashion. “Although, there are afew of you clones, I’m sure Abyss could spare one for my collection…..Having you as my eternal statue, mine to do with as I will…..that thought has some appeal….” She trailed off, very suggestive comments indeed. …And just like that, after winding him up, she stopped and turned her full attention back to the meeting.
They were talking strategy, strategy was good, important, and Tris listened closely.
And when Abyss laid out what seemed to the barebones of a rather detailed plan, Tris nodding along and noting her part- smirking at the fact she and Venus weren’t in the same group. Tris felt with Hades and Pluto, they’d adequately cover their lookout.
Voltaire listened to the plans that abyss made. As he announced the teams he tried to find who he was teamed up with till he found (what he thought) was a flaw in the plan. "I hate to interrupt" Said voltaire. "So your suggesting that everybody who is close range will act like a shield to get there powers taken away?"
Voltaire was frustrated with the idea that he was just there to take a shot and be dealt with by those stalkers. "Ow and another suggestion, why not lure it into a ally and ambuse it before he can call for backup." "Or maybe that proffesor can make a radio wave jammer or something" he continued. "Makes our job a bit easier."
Plans, at last – this was what was needed. Abyss’ idea seemed sound, since all they needed was one stalker so why create greater risk than already existed. The patrolling groups would be useful, but if they blocked the signals then hopefully the groups would simply be a safety measure. And when it came down to blocking radio signals, now that was easy. The cloaked figure, Voltaire, was it?, had been the one to bring up the need to block the radio signals, and so she turned to him and spoke, though she insured that all could hear, since with the signal blocked it would make their work a lot easier. “I can deal with any radio signals, which should lower the chance of other Stalkers arriving considerably. Though naturally the groups should probably patrol just in case, since another stalker could always come by chance and we may have humans to deal with. Overall, I think the plan’s realistic and definitely worth a shot.” Her opinion, and ability to help stated, she waited to see what the response would be. Hopeful, they’d finish the talking soon, and start putting the plan into action.
"Getting them bound won't be a problem for me." She shrugged slightly, "If any humans come around, it won't be that hard to bind them up and gag them either." Kitra was slightly urked at getting scolded in front of everyone, but Kaz did have a point. Everything in Abyss' plans were sound, the jamming of the radio signals was a good idea from Voltaire as well. She chuckled inwardly at Venus, he was having a lot of fun with Tris. She was sure Tris was having tons of fun back. It made her miss Zelek though, not something to remember when she was in a middle of a meeting though. She pushed Zelek to the back of her mind and looked at Kaz. "I'll do what I can and more if possible." She would attempt to tslk with Kaz after the meeting, Sapphire also had a watch. They could try to use it to contact her with, if Kaz hadn't already done so. She knew Hunter was gone now, it worried her slightly, but he left Kaz in charge. If Hunter thinks he's good then I should too. Seeing him in action would be nice though. She shook her head slightly to clear it and turned her thoughts back to the actual meeting. What else would happen now?

Kaz kept looking around the group as Abyss spoke and gave his plan, which was quite sound. Though knowing Abyss, it wasn't that surprising, besides, he did have six other minds he was able to through ideas around with. Abyss was also better at groups and multiple people, since he and the clones worked together a lot, while Kaz was more solo, so group plans weren't as easy to come up with.
After Abyss finished, Voltaire spoke his displeasure and opinion. "Voltaire, you and the others would not be shield to be broken. It would be your job to ensure the mission is a success. If another Stalker or other forces appears to stop us, it's up to you and the others to make sure they don't succeed, by any means necessary. If that means you have to fry them to a crisp, blow them up, or bring a building down on top of them to do it, then so be it. Though I'd prefer that not to happen, as it would alert the 'authorities'," Authorities was said with a very mocking tone. "And make our escape and raid on the camps harder." Kaz almost left the alley idea alone, almost. "Drawing it into an alley might work if we knew it's capabilities already or if it was just a human, but seeing as it is agile, strong, and has more than a few tricks up it's sleeve, it would only serve to give it more of an advantage of numbers and planning."
Looking to Kit, "Glad to hear it Kitra. Do your best." Though he said it, there was no room to fail, but that would make the mood depressing and make her and the others more nervous about the mission than they already were.
"Nox, I'm glad to hear it. Though I don't doubt your abilities, I'll also have Dr. Ingram, Dr. J, and Hades come up with another jamming option, for a more long term solution."
Taking a breath before speaking more, "I'll get in contact with Sapphire as soon as possible. I have questions about her abilities, specifically: How many can she teleport at a time, how far and fast she can teleport a group, and if there are special restrictions to her teleproting a group, as in, if she has to stay and be the last to teleport for it to work." Looking to Hades, "In th event I cannot get in contact with Sapphire, I'll leave the means of escape to you Hades."
"I'll have people looking into the Stalker patrol routes. In the mean time, each of you to separate into your respective groups." Kaz went over the groups again, to refresh their memories. "Get to know each other more, work on your respective strategies, etc. When the necessary information and preparations are complete, I'll contact you." This was Kaz saying 'meeting over' without saying it.
Walking over to Venus and Tris. ((Popping into Warming up, then coming back))
After saying his little piece to Tris and Abyss he moved over to Shogun and the hidden Katrina.
((OOC: Just to let people know, since the camps are jumping further and further ahead of the resistance *glares at a certain someone* I'm willing to say most of the info gathering and such is handled behind the scenes. As soon as I receive certain info via PM's, I'll be putting up the mission thread to catch the bastard machine.))
