The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Daredevil? Ah, a comic. Comics never interested Shogun, for obvious reasons. Fights evil too? Well, he supposed that the ones behind the law could be considered evil, but Shogun never allowed himself to get caught up in good and evil. He just did what he wanted, until now. Now he did as he was told. Mandain gave a good description of his power, explaining that there had to be some wiring showing. So they had to break through any armour the stalkers might have, or they would have to find a chink.
Hmm, Horus can focibly take control, Shogun knew that, but he could stop Mandain from knowing the outside world? Not good. "I'm sure it was quite the experience." How could he be expected to fight if he woke up half-way through? He was amazed the boy was still alive. "How did you survive waking up half-way through a fight?"
Shogun asked how he'd survived the fight. "Well I wasn't really in the middle of it, Horus had done the most of it, since body's were everywhere. But I don't think he did it all by himself, but I had no idea what he was doing" He looked to wards Shogun and continued as the were walking. "I sort of woke up when most of the fight was gone, but when I shook my head I saw the stalker, not that I knew what it was, but it was damaged so I used some stuff to get my ion in him, but I didn't go untouched but no severe injuries, some scratched" He was glad to talk about it since a lot has happened without a good conversation. Mandain was glad Horus let him in charge again, it gave him the creeps not entirely knowing what Horus is upto. Only seeing flashes of what Horus is seeing at that time is not pleasant, would Horus see everything he saw? "No time for those questions now, those are for later" he thought. "So do you have stories to tell, or stuff you want to get of your chest?"

Oh, how the boy misunderstood him. He could pick up that some people needed to talk, to 'get things in the open', before they can be ok about them. But he had never seen the need to do this himself. Even when his grandfather died, he had felt better being able to think about it without any other person within miles of him. He preferred to think things out for himself. But then again, it had been good talking to Kitra. "No, I prefer to keep to myself. I don't like 'opening up' to others. They could use it against you." His grandfather had told him to never let his guard down, and he prided himself on following everything his grandfather ever told him. "So Horus has different powers to you? He seems to have some quite deadly ones."
Shogun didn't want to talk about his past in anyway, no stories, no pain from looking back, or letting it be used against you. Mandain always thought it was rather good to let everything of your chest, clearing your head, something that he didn't do since all the accidents happened, the whole town paralyzed, parents deaths, family death, and the fear from outsiders. Shogun started about the powers of Horus, nonetheless Mandain had no clue what they were, since he was never around when Horus was. "Ha, so it seems, I really have no clue of what he is capable of, well only the scarabs thing, and that seemed rather deadly". Mandain wanted to know everything there was to learn of Horus, powers, constellation, weakness, and past. "Do you happen to know more of Horus then me, any information is welcome" Mandain was doing rather good since Horus left and went back inside the mind, but for how long would it be till he shows up and ruins everything again.

shogun shrugged. "From what I've seen of him, he is probably not from America, as he struggles to speak english. He can summon a sword from your arm, and hates non-mutants, but that's all he said." Most of their conversation had been spent with vieled threats and plans for genocide. Not someone Shogun planned on meeting again anytime soon. "So when he takes control, you have no experience of what he is doing?"
Mandain learned by asking his question, Horus could summon a sword from his own arm, it had the be the mysterious tattoo he already had when born. Also Horus seemed to hate none-mutants, for what reason still had to be discovered. Mandain wrapped up his sleeves, now showing the sword, "This is the sword I presume?", he continued about the question Shogun asked about what he sees when Horus is in control. "Well, I get to see glimpse of what he is seeing, and some sentences or words, but that's only when I concentrate hard, that's also how I try to communicate with him, when he is control that is, as far as I know Horus does the same although he seems more eased with it then me" Talking about something he didn't fully understand was hard, he couldn't explain everything since he didn't have the knowledge about some concerns he would have liked to have. "Who knows what might happen next with me or him".

Shogun nodded. "That's where he drew it from." He couldn't actually see the tattoo, though. "How did you know it was drawn from there?" It coudn't be fun living with so many uncertainties. He needed a chance to get rid of Horus. "Maybe Antonescu has a way of removing Horus from your mind?" Antonescu was a wealthy man, and seemed to have quite advanced technologies. Nothing seemed out of his reach.
Shogun asked how he knew about where he'd drawn it. "Well, I presumed he did" Mandain smiled and replied on the suggestion that Shogun made. "Removing him, sounds good, but Horus is also my guardian it seems, he won't let anything happen to me so far, in hard battles he comes out, as far is know that is. Maybe more of a way to control him and come to terms with him, that would be better then wipe him out" Horus wasn't a friend but he helped him in so many way's that removing him would be a sin and a waist of talent. Horus could achieve more then Mandain in certain way's, his talent was way more powerful and when contained extremely deadly. "Before we meet up with Antonescu, is there a place for something to eat and drink? I'm starving, hahaha" Mandain shook his head and waited for the reply

Ah, so Horus protects him. Well, that would make sense. If Mandain died, Horus probably would too. It seemed the relationship between the two of them was very complicated. Then the question of food arrived. "Certainly." There were some employees in a room nearby, and regardless of the fact that he was still in full armour he strode through the door. "Excuse, could one of you direct me to the eating area?" One of the technicians, who by the level of guilt that Shogun sensed as he entered was obviously avoiding work anyway, and agreed to guide them. "Sure. This way." He lead them through the halls towards the cafeteria, a little unconfortable at having a samurai following him.
