The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Deja quickly pulled the knob. You heard a sorta creaking sound as she opened the door fully. Looking around you'd see alot of things from training equipment to gymnastics mats even there own energy drinks! Deja then looked at Geo and smiled.
"This place is amazing! I've never seen anything really like it, except the mansion, of course.'' Deja then grabbed his hand as she went over to the energy drinks section.
"Okay I'm getting a monster energy drink. From the name it may sound bad but basically its a jolly rancher in a drink.'' Deja then glanced at Geo.
"How about you?" Deja then smiled. She was doing that alot lately with him, something has came over her and I think she knows what it is. With him she felt like a normal girl. Always safe and protected, nothing could hurt her.
Tristan looked around the shelf and grabbed a Red Bull, he opened it and drank half in a gulp. He looked over to Deja, "Jolley Ranchers are gross," Then he stuck out his tounge at her. He loved being around her, it made him feel like he had no worries even though he knew that they were so close to be shipped off like the rest of the mutants.
Deja quickly smiled, as Geo gave her that comment about jolly ranchers. "For that, watch when you wake up, their gonna be stuffed in your mouth." Deja then started laughing. Deja quickly took a sip of her monster energy drink, and looked around. She then noticed this place was boring. Deja then smiled as she thought about music, and a lively room. She closed her eyes, and concentrated. All of a sudden, the room was painted green and their was a disco ball on the top. Als their was a boombox, playing a soft melody. Then the machines were stands for chips and stuff and she was in a pink Dress with her hair tied back. She then looked at Geo and he was in a black Tuxedo. It was weird, she was thinking a little less promy but It was still nice. She then turned to Geo.
"Umm..so, whatcha think?" She really like how he looked, though. She hoped nobody would come in and spoil the moment.
Tristan watched in amazement as things changed around them, they reminded him of high school dances, he walked over and wrapped his arms around Deja, "It's amazing, he mumbled into her ear "It's...Amazing." He said before kising her passionatly. He had barley ever gone to school dances before, and he had dated alot of girls before but none of them made him feel like Deja.
On the way to the music room, they passed an open door. Since that variety of door was relatively rare, Katrina curiously peeked inside, hoping to see what other types of rooms this place had to offer.
The sight that first hit her eyes was not the room, but Geo and Deja making out in the doorway.
Her twelve-year-old self couldn’t keep quiet, no matter how hard she would have wanted to, “Eww!”

Calley
Calley overrode Slate in a rush. Slate didn't protest. "Eww!" The clutter echoed Katrina. With the swiftness and surety of immature righteousness, Calley whipped two tomatoes off of his BLT sandwich, and Frisbee-tossed them at Geo and Deja's faces. The one aimed for Deja was covered in bacon grease and mayonnaise. The one aimed for Geo was half-chewed and carrying a bit of lettuce like an army flag.
This was the price for PDA. Public Displays of Affection would not be tolerated!
As Deja began making out with Geo, everything was perfect. Her boyfriend was right here holding her as they danced, well mostly kissed. The room was so amazing and perfect. She felt like a bird, the weight of the world, off her shoulder. As soon, as she could say, what, she was hit in the face with a sand which with bacon. All of a sudden, she lost her concentration, and everything went back to normal. Deja then laughed, and threw the bacon on her head to the ground. Deja then turned to Calley and Katrina.
" Thanks!" Deja was saying this in a laughing matter. She quickly took off the sandwich pieces in Geo's hair, and looked once more at the two.
"This is aquward, so I guess, I might as well introduce myself. I'm Deja, nice to meet you!" Deja wasn't really angry at the sandwich incicdent just surprised. Comeon, this blond girl, looks about twelve years old.
Tristan laughed as the BLT hit them, "Hey uncool," Then he looked over at the person who had thrown it, "Ummmm, it's Caleb right." He silently cursed at them for ruining there moment, "Deja this is Caleb, i met him a while ago, and the little girl i don't know. " Tristan turned to face the others wrapping his arm around Deja's waist.
Before Katrina could even bat an eye, Calley had flung his tomatoes at the kissing couple. That broke them up alright. Luckily they didn't seem mad about it. Geo wrapped his arm around the girl as if she would disappear if he wasn't touching her, and introduced Calley as Caleb and the girl as Deja. Apparently he didn't know her name though. That was fine, but to call her a "little girl"! She was hardly little... well actually she was a little short. She was only 4'8'' and most of her friends were already well over 5 feet. Still!
"I'm Katrina, and I'm not a little girl. I'm 12. You two aren't that much older than me, I bet. Are you really going to fight in the resistance like you said at breakfast? Aren't you a little young?"

Sorry if I seem nosey! I just like to re-read peoples' profiles a lot. )
Calley grinned down at Katrina as she seemed to very visibly inflate. Much like an insulted cat. He approved. "Yeah," he added, "You guys are pretty young. I mean, you're younger than I am, even, right?" He pointed a finger at his own chest. "I'm seventeen. And personally, I think we're just going to get in the way of the older people when they're out on raids, 'n' stuff. I'm all for trying to find something useful to do around here." He grinned impishly down at Katrina; a move that was reflected in his mind, towards Slate. "Like start up classes for all of us. Keep the school alive even if the location is, ah, a bit different, and all. Show all those humans that they can't stop us from, ah, gettin' educated."
((OOC: np Calley i do the same thing all the time.))
Tristan grinned, "Sorry," He said as the girl Katrina defended her title as a 'big kid' "Are you kidding, adult have like no imagination. Besides just cause we're young doesn't mean we aren't powerful right," Tristan remembered when he was 12, back when life was simple, then he thought of how hard it must be for this young girl to have to grow up during these majorly stressful time for mutants.
Deja looked at the girl and the boy who asked if she was a little young to be doing this. Deja knew that she was young but, she had guts, and she would do whatever is right.
"Actually, I think the adults, are all dull. They don't know as much as we do. We have creativity and can do anything!" Deja then smiled. "Sure, I'm scared but I know everything we workout." Deja then looked at Katrina. "Also your not a 'little girl', your a preteen. That is perfectly fine, enjoy it." Deja then turned to Calley.
"I disagree, we don't need school, at this moment. Sure its important but there are bigger things, and don't blame humans. Why do you all act like were any different. We'll newsflash were not." Deja wanted to get her point straight. "Sure we maybe special but we still have bones and skin, and a heart, just like them. I myself am not a mutant, I don't classify myself as one. I'm a human being, and so are all of you!" Deja then drunk some of her monster and layed her head on Geo's shoulders.
“I agree, humans and mutants are both the same thing. I don’t feel any different than I did before. And everyone I’ve met isn’t any different from the so-called normal people except that they have special talents, just like magicians and musicians.”
“It seems so sad that we have to fight at all. It’s like a whole civil war where we fight our own brothers and sisters” and parents. “I learned about the American civil war in school and it was so sad. So many people died and now we are repeating the same mistake. Do you really want to fight? Don’t you realize that you might be killing other people, or that you might die?”

Calley
Calley could take hearing it from one person, but from two? And both of them younger than him. By a year, sure, but a year was a big time difference. Hell, the last few months were a time difference onto themselves, for Calley. He was still catching up to the fact he was Hunter's patsy spy-slave boy. In general, he might not be sure of very many things, but there was one issue he was very clear on:
"Listen," he said with a snort, "It's not about how you 'feel', and it's not about how having 'bones and skin'. Newsflash:" he parroted Deja, "pigs have bones and skin, two. That's what gets them into trouble with humans. Us, we're dangerous. We're basically all raised as killers--I mean, think of the X-Men tryouts, Tristan, Deja--what did they have us do? Kill a bunch of human-shaped robots. I mean, what the hell was that? The X-Men are the most pro-human mutants out there, and they're training us to kill humans. Because we, ladies and gentlemen, are not human. And yeah, it is a war. It's always been a war. How many of us have our own parents turn against us?"
...Calley.
"If the humans that are supposed to love us know that we're freaks, what do you think the rest of the world thinks about us?"
Calley.
"It's not about wanting to fight or not--we all have to. If you guys can, that's great for you," Calley said, looking levelly between Deja and Geo. "Some of us suck at fighting, though, so we've got to do what we can--"
Calley! That is too far.
'--to just survive' died before passing his lips, as it rightly should. "We all just have to do what we can," he finished lamely.
Why were you talking to them?
I'm allowed to talk to people, Slate.
Not like that, you are not. We need to blend in. Do not argue. Do not hold opinions. You know what opinions do.
They get us hurt.
Yes, Calley, they do. Remember that the next time you open our damn mouth and speak for the both of us. What are we?
We are a happy ball of randomness.
That is correct. Happy balls of randomness do not hold opinions.
No, we don't. And happy balls of randomness don't plot behind anyone's back, either.
...Heh.
Was that a laugh, Slate? Cute! It's your first laugh!
Calley abruptly shifted back on his heels, sticking his hands in his pockets as he let a defusing smile run across his face. His inner dialogue had taken barely a fraction of a second. "Umm, sorry. Touchy subject. It's just... that's how they treat us, right? If we've going to survive, maybe we need to think that way, too. If we don't want to die, and we don't want to live in fear or anything... than we have to do what we can."
Yes, we do. And we will.
Yeah, Calley agreed with his other voice, we will. But there's some things we've gotta do, first.
Like grow a backbone.
Ha! And you're making jokes now, too. That's... actually a little disturbing, Slate.
Tristan looked over to Deja, "But not all of us are like humans," he held out his arm as it grew to its giant rock form, "My entire body changed, i can't even swim anymore i sink. And i have to take extra precautions just to keep myself from being exposed when i could just as easily be accepted. My parents rejected me for what i am and thats the whole reason i'm here. Because humans can't accept change, can't accept the fact that they are no longer the dominate species on the planet." He placed one hand on the back of Deja's head as she laid her head on his shoulders running his fingers through her hair, he hated bringing up his troubled past just to make a point. "And some of us can't even change our apperance isn't there a guy at the mansion that looks like a lizard?"
