The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He could feel the pain she was in. And she wanted another round? Fine. "As you wish. Feel free to change weapons." He could sense her wanting something to change, and assumed that it was her weapon. If not, it would be a good idea anyway. He had the definate advantage, as his was bigger, and probably lighter. He took a few steps back, in case she tried a sneak attack, and reverted his sword to it's one-blade form. "When you're ready."
She had already turned towards the weapon rack, line upon line of various tools of the trade, her trade, were before her. What to choose? She needed something that would match his reach unless she wanted the same problems as before, so a spear would be preferable, except she had always found their blades rather limited. No, what she needed was something more like…that. She picked up the shaft, and examined it. Good balance…nice weight…and those will do just fine. She admired the lethal double edged blades on either end of the polished 8 foot shaft. It was an interesting weapon, like nothing she had ever seen, though very similar to the glaives she was used to. Their advantage being the fact they had the point of a spear, and the deadly edge of a sword. Exactly what she needed. With her chosen weapon in hand, she returned to her position in front of him. She focused, separately the echoing calls of the pain from her concentration, allowing her to think solely upon the weapon currently held in her left hand and the warrior in before her. Having spun the weapon round a few times to test it, she swung it up before her, and took a two handed grip. This time she didn’t wait for his attack, but engaged herself. She swung the blade up to her right, arcing down into a lunge, when it came close, however, she would suddenly tilt the blade towards the floor, allowing the other blade to come over the top and land its attack. The entire movement was fluid, as the silver strike of one blade seemed to weld with the other as the shaft was swung; this time she knew she couldn’t afford to give him any time to get accustomed to her new weapon.

Shogun was interested in her choice of weapon, as it allowed her the reach that she was sorely lacking before, and it looked fairly deadly. Fortunately, it was metal, so he was perfectly safe. She didn't wait at all, and after a couple of test-twirls she was attacking. He attuned herself to her movements, and was able to map each of them out before they came. As the blade come down, he made as if to block it, but subtly had the other weapon ready, as it twirled over and attacked with the other blade, he had his other sword up and blocking.
As her second blade swung towards his own, he stabbed outward with the first blade, hoping to land it in the centre of her chest. He wouldn't impale her, as such, but it would be enough to make her bleed, and if this blades were as sharp as Antonescu promised, then it would likely hurt. A lot.
(OOC: I think this is correct, too many blades and blocks going on, if its wrong PM me and i'll change it)
IC: He blocked her attack and with his free blade made an attack at her chest, some part of her mind noted how quickly he adjusted to her weapon, it was unusual. As he stabbed, however, her right arm that was across her stomach, the awkward position had been necessary to twist the one blade other the other and still keep the two handed grip, moved back across her body bringing the weapon to a horizontal position in front of her chest preventing his attack.
She then pushed her right arm forward while pulling the left back, sending the side of her one blade into the side of his helmet. And with the shaft now positioned diagonally in front of her in would be easy to manoeuvre it up or down into a position to protect her.

(OOC: I think we should have limited the number of blades...)
She blocked his attack, and he was surprised how well she adjusted to a long weapon. She then attacked again, but Shogun ducked it, and at the same time he reattached his blades together, and with a now-free hand he caught the shaft of the weapon. He was careful to not be too close to the blade, but it was quite long, so the field still pushed his hand down an inch or so. But now that he had a grip on it, he tugged backwards, at the same time swirling his sword around at his side and swung it towards her side, hoping to catch her just below the ribcage, or at least hit an arm.
He grabbed her weapon, slightly irritated by this, she immediately swung the Shaft back wards into a circle. Either he had to let go, or his wrist would snap. Furthermore, the circling blade had scooped up his attacking blade so that it was redirected into the air above them. She instantly recognized the lack of space between them, scince he had to come closer to be prevent slicing his hand open on her blade, so she attacked. Appreciating the fact it wasn't quite honorable, she took her left hand of the shaft, knowing that she could control her weapon, keeping his one redirected blade away, with only her right hand for a short time. Her left hand knowing found the pouch at her hip, and, with a much practiced movement, swiftly loosened one of the small throwing daggers form its fastening. With it in hand she lunged for the side he had had to expose in order to grasp her weapon, the blade might only meet armour at best, and therefore, be unharmful, yet it would count as a hit.

As she spun her weapon around, he had to let go, and immidiatly had his hand back on the shaft of his swrod. As he twisted it to seperate it into two blades again, she reached for something at her side, and Shogun sensed the threat, and what she was planning to do. As the expected knife lunged forward, he kicked out at her stomach, at the same time swinging the now free half of his sword toward her arm. With the other half, he spun it around so that it was free of her blade, and then sliced it at the shaft of her weapon. If it hit, it would slice straight through.
He let go of her shaft - wise move, though she hadn't anticipated the kick and so it hit her it her stomach. Her balance luckily had been stable, so after having taken a few steps back she regained it, and was able to place the welcoming thought of another bruise to the same compartment as the pain from her head. As, however, she was regaining her balance she realised she would need a two handed grip to fight off his blades, and therefore needed to lose the dagger. So as she stepped back wards her wrist flicked sending the dagger spinning towards the warrior's side. She carried on with the movement her wrist had started, arcing upwards before firmly placing her hand upon the shaft. His blade caught her arm as she did so, drawing blood but only just, if ,however, she hadn't continued the arc the cut would be a rather more threatening matter. As it was she continued, only to have her weapon broken in two. Oh great. Her mind, having lost its thought process, hardly registered this, and her body adjusted to two weapons once more. She arced both blades outwards and towards him, so that they would both have to be simultaneously blocked, and as this occurred, her circling would hopefully gather his blades and force them to the floor. Her one right blade though would, if it manage to catch his, then extended towards his neck.

As she staggered back, she loosed the knife in his direction. He deflected it with his blade, sending it spinning uselessly off to one side, but found that she had adapted surprisingly quickly to suddenly having two weapons. Unless she was ambidextrous, like himself, she would have a harder time with her weaker hand, which is why some fighters prefer to use a two-handed weapon. She reacted to the kick to her stomach surprisingly quickly, as he expected it to wind her, even if momenterily, but oh well.
She was on the attack again, and swung both her weapons at him. He used both his blades to block, and saw where she intended to have her right-hand blade. By his neck was the last place he wanted it to be. But as she now had the long weapons, he did what she did before, and closed the gap. But whilst stepping toward her, he swung his blades to horizontal, whilst still keeping them in contact with the shafts of her weapons. Unless she stopped his advance, his blades would be on each shoulder, and a flick of the wrist away from beheading her. Not that he was about to actually kill her, but the victory would count, nonetheless.
She saw the tips of his blades come towards her, far to close to her neck for comfort. Her attack was forced to stop, as the blades pressed against each other, hers vertical only just preventing his horizontal blades from their attack. She suddenly threw all her force into pushing his blades back, hoping to force him to step back and so leave her neck alone for the time being. When the movement finished she would angle her blades inwards making a direct lunge at his sides, which as he came into block, she would circle right round so they would be redirected to his open chest. And if he managed to block both attacks she would twist the tip of her one blade inwards to slice his side, since the two blocks straight after each should mean that the last one will be forced to be made quite close to him, allowing her to angle in around the side.

She suddenly pushed his blades back, making him take a step backward, but then he steadied himself as he planned how to avoid her next attack. She lunged for his sides, and he swung his blades around to block. As she redirected her blade, it came a little too close to him for comfort, so he used his blade to force hers back. As hers was sent away from him, he used his lighter and faster blade to lunged for her stomach, hoping to reach it before she could react to swing her heavier weapon toward him.
He steadied himself quickly, and reacted instantly to her attack, using the gap as her blades were sent away, he lunged. The weapon in her left hand was closer to him, so she used it. Attacking his open side, just under the shoulder of the arm he was now lunging with. She had known she wouldn’t have been able to manoeuvre her weapons in to block, but her blade tip had been close enough to attack. Which was why its tip was now heading for his side, while she simultaneously braced herself for his attack, and hoped for hers. A win, no. But a draw, she might get a draw, which, though not preferable, was an improvement from last time.

She seemed to understand that she wouldn't be able to block his attack, and so decided to go straight for an attack of her own. But it was with her weaker hand, and he was so much faster. With his right blade still going forwards, he flipped his left blade up under his right arm, so that it was vertical and blocking her attack. And still the right blade shot forward...
She saw his right hand move in, spoiling her plan. Knowing there was no way to change what she had done, she simply adapted her plan. She continued her attack by angling her blade down in such a way that his defensive blade would intercept the shaft and not the blade, hopefully still giving her the hit. To fully block her attack he would have to bring his blade up, which would intercept his attacking arm preventing his attack. The adaptation was instantaneous, as if there had all ways meant to be a fluid redirection as new obstacles were presented. But as she altered her attack his blade came unchallenged towards her stomach, all she could do was to hope the tip of her weapon would find its mark as well.

She changed the angle of her blade, as though it were part of her plan all along. He was forced to raise his defending arm, so his attacking arm was now headed for her neck. That was fine by him, though he aimed it slightly to one side so that it would only just draw blood. It was now mere inches from her throat, and still speeding forward with all his weight behind it.
