The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Vibe didn't stay in the Infirmary very long. Despite the partial comfort Nicki and the other Order members provided, and the support given by Kitra and Nox, what she wanted.... what she needed.... they couldn't give her. She was still smarting from the attack, and emotionally off-balanced. So she left the group and took to wandering.
Even though fairly petite in build, as a pair Amp and Vibe exuded a commanding presence; they would not be ignored, unless they wished to be. On her own, Vibe was just.... small....
It fast became apparent that this place was a maze, and everyone seemed to know where they were going but her. After several minutes of being bumped into, pushed past, or generally ignored, she'd had enough. Concentrating, since she didn't have her tuning forks to make the task easy, she began pulsing out her hypnotizing melody. Everyone in the hallway froze. Vibe smiled. Now to find out where she was.....
.....
..... ......
She deflated like a balloon. She had no way of conveying what she wanted. To write a message, she needed pen and paper. But she couldn't get that without asking, and she couldn't ask without writing.... She snapped her fingers, and all eyes turned to her. She signed out what she wanted, but they all simply stared numbly at her. She tried pointing, but all that led to was all eyes following where she was pointing, but nothing more.
Finally, frustrated, she stopped her melody and shoved past everyone, leaving behind a hallway full of confused folk.
Eventually she somehow wandered through enough open doors that she found herself out of doors. That proved just as irritating, because the area surrounding the labs was fairly open, unlike the city that had been her playground for the last few years. Central park was one thing. She knew the place inside and out, but here?
Here she was just another anonymous, faceless body wandering around with no purpose or meaning. She may as well be just another human.
She sat on the ground next to the wall, head in one hand, picking at the grass with the other.

After wandering around inside the complex for awile Ali decided she needed some fresh air. There were way too many people walking around in that place and it seemed that everyone was off to do their own things. That was ok with Ali though. She didn't mind doing her own thing. She had been that way for as long as she could remember.
So it was time to clear her mind and relax. Or that's what she thought.
There was a familiar image outside this facility. One that Ali wasn't expecting to see. There was something different though. There was only one.
Vibe heard someone coming, and decided she was going to ignore it. Maybe if she kept still they wouldn't notice her and keep moving. She wasn't in the mood for company.
"Well...well...well. Fancy seeing you again."
Especially not that company....
A disgusted look passed over her face as Vibe glanced up to see the firey redhead from the Park. She didn't remember her name, nor did she care. While Vibe's attention span was, for the most part, rather short, she could win a marathon of grudge holding. And she definately had a grudge against this particular redhead. Of all of the Mansion people, why hadn't the Stalkers taken her away?
>Go jump in a lake, Hothead.< Not that the silent insult would do any good, but it felt good to say it anyway.
(OOC: Continued from Blending in. Hope you ladies don’t mind me dropping off Mandain in the middle of this)
IC: As Nigel pulled up he saw Ali out the front talking to another mutant who he identified as Vibe. “See,” he said to Mandain as he stopped the car, “She’s perfectly safe. Feel free to go and say hi.”
Mandain couldn't wait out and run to Ali, hug her and never let go, since he left everything back in the Netherlands she was all he got, but there was one thing that had to be handled first.
"She can wait, now let's talk about Horus, who or what is he, and what has it got to do with me?" He took of his glasses again, buckled his seat belt loose and stared at the Nigel for an anser

The other redhead looked up at Ali and she could tell that the other girl wasn't too thrilled to see her. Yet...she didn't try to do anything. She seemed like she was lost in a way. Almost like part of her was missing.
That's when it hit Ali. Where was the other twin? She distinctly remembered there being a twin.
Ali squatted down where she had been standing to get a better view of the other girl's face.
Vibe instinctively leaned back as the girl kneeled down to look her in the eyes. With the wall at her back she couldn't go far, but it was obvious that she didn't like being that close.
"Where's your sister?"
Dismay and sadness washed over Vibe's face, but was gone in a flash, replaced by the distaste once more.
>None of your business.< Again, the retort remained silent, but the expression made her feelings obvious. To get her point across, reached out and flicked the girl's forehead, harder than necessary, as if to say 'Back off'.

A bit of a shocked look came over Ali's face as the other girl flicked Ali's forehead. She didn't rub it even though she wanted to. Instead she looked the girl over for a moment. Why was this girl so quiet. Her sister had been very vocal when they had their little display back in the park. Was she just really bossy or was it something else?
Since the other redhead was already looking at Ali she decided to give something a try.
Ali signed to the girl.
"Do you understand me?"
She watched to see if her little idea was going to work or if this was going to be a difficult conversation.
Vibe blinked. She wanted sooooo badly to tell the girl off in sign-language, especially now that she knew the girl understood it. But she decided it would be more amusing, at least for the moment, to simply play dumb. Or deaf and dumb, in this case.
She narrowed her eyes at the girl, holding eye contact, just too see how long the girl would stare back.
There was a glimmer of possibility as Ali watched the other girl's face. It looked as if she knew what Ali had said in sign, but then she just sat there and glared. It was more dissapointing that anything.
"Ok, well if you want to be like that then I'll leave you to remain in your shell of loneliness."
Ali stood up and looked at the girl again for a moment. She decided to give the girl another chance to talk should she choose to.
Nigel considered for a moment before answering. “Horus is an alternate personality of yours which you are apparently unaware of. He can utilise various powers unrelated to your own, so it is believed that he is a psychic entity that is using your body as a host.”
“Have you ever lost time? Woken up in strange places not knowing how you got there? That is when Horus takes command of your body.” He now waited to see how Mandain would handle the news.
A psychic entity?, himself being a host for something else?, That would explain the black outs and waking up in weird spaces. "Right, so your telling me, correct me if I'm wrong, I am a mutant host for something else?, that has powers of its own?" Mandains words came out confused but also understanding, understanding that this could be something that could destroy his new beginning. 2 options were rolling inside his mind, get rid of it, or control it.
“Correct,” replied Nigel. He had been wondering how Mandain would take the news. It seemed that the mutant wasn’t entirely surprised by it. it was clear form his reaction upon the mention of black outs and waking up elsewhere that that had indeed been happening to him.
The question was, what would he do with that information?
"Yeah, is there anyway to control it, making it come out but letting me decide when he has to come back in and let me take over?, If there is, will you help me?" Mandain was as serious as could be, this so called alter ego of his named Horus could come in handy in situations, but then again what where Horus his intentions with Mandain in the first place.
