The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Zeke sat back in the chair quietly and watched the proceedings. He wanted to make sure everything went smoothly. And sure enough, as soon as he had entered the room, things had tended to calm down a bit. Now they were discussing fun instead of killing each other. Quite an improvement in Ezekiel's mind.
He stood and walked over to the history shelf and pulled a leather bound book down. He lifted the cover and glanced inside, then realized he had what he was looking for. Shutting it quickly, he spun on his heels as was his custom and walked toward the library door. "Play nice now... I may be leaving now but there is no telling when I'll be back. Keep it civilized, you're almost adults if not already."
Fade merely leaned up against the bookshelf as now the conversation was leaning more towards Deathstar and Eaen. It wasn't her turn to talk, so she stayed silent until someone spoke to her, or until she needed to intervine. However, even though Deathstar was a nasty girl, she seemed to be warming up, but why? Was it solely so she could become an X-Man? Would she turn on them once she becomes one and thinks she better than other mutants?
Whatever the case may be, Fade did not understand why suddenly Deathstar was being nice, excuse me, let me rephrase that, attempting to be nice to the two people that she had insulted earlier. It just didn't make any sense. So Fade did not speak, she instead ran the questions through her mind, searching for an answer. Who was this girl and what did she really want?
Zeke's quick interruption cause Fade to whip her head to the side as she shook her thoughts from her mind. When she saw that it was someone older than herself, she just smiled and nodded before saying, "Oh, we will."
Deathstar nodded her head towards glare as he left, she continued to talk with eaen, but it was something about him that reminded deathstar of herself, in the moment she stopped talking to eaen and turned to fade whats wrong!.. cat got your tongue ? I know you can't stand me, but get used to it, you are going to see alot of me from now on!! she tells fade with a faint smile on her face, as if she is trying to get along with her which is hard for her to do..
Eaen was still a bit on edge, Deathstar was continuing to confuse him, especially after she touched his hair. He shifted his weight uncomfortably from one leg to the other and crossed his arms across his chest again. His signature red cheeks were pretty bright and he gave Deathstar a weak attempt at a smile.
"Fun... Um, well..." Eaen thought for a second. "Well, I like to write... and... I dunno." He finished lamely. When Deathstar directed her attention to Fade, Eaen watched the two girls closely. Deathstar seemed to be trying to get a good conversation going but at the same time, it seemed really difficult for her.
Eaen squinted slightly while he concentrated on Deathstar's face. He studied her eyes and tried to get even the slightest feel for what was going on inside her head. He stood in focus for a moment before giving up. He sighed, realizing that no matter how hard he tried, he would most likely never be able to sense another emotion. Instead, he fell back on Deathstar's facial expression.
She seemed to struggle with conversing with Fade, but didn't find it quite as hard with himself. What was it about Fade that she didn't like?
'Maybe they just have personalities that just don't click.'
Fade's arms folded and she just glared at Deathstar before she turned and talked to her in a semi-sweet, semi-hostile voice. What's her problem? I don't get why she's suddenly acting like I'm cool with her and how she can talk to me like this with no hard feelings. This girl is too complex for me. She thought before opening her mouth.
"This is true, but you're gonna have to get used to me as well if you think I'm gonna let you still talk as though you're better than me. There's no superiority here, there are no powers that are better than other, the only inequalities are personalities. So the same goes for you in getting used to me." Her currently peach eyes looked at Deathstar, wondering how on earth she could be so complicated yet so simple.
However, thoughts would not change the fact that Deathstar was a new member of the mansion and she looked, so-far, as though she was here to stay. So, unfortunately, Fade would see alot more of her before they would part. She sighed and considered 'starting-it-over' but then it would not make any difference, so she shrugged off the idea and waited for a reply, knowing that it might be snappy.
you say that I think I'm better than you...Well I am she said with faint smile towards fade, as if she trying come off as though she joking , but inside she was serious. She really doesn't get along with people who are not like her, she always assume that they always past judgement on her..
She is trying really hard and is putting up a good effort to make good connections with the mutants in the mansion but deep down inside she likes being hated, it makes her confidence boost high up,..[ I wonder where is ralph?...he is Kinda cute, but not my taste, he's just too you know dorky..[/i] she says as her legs swing side to side on the library table above the floor, she wanted to make sure fade wasn't getting the idea that they are best friends, she had to sneak a liitle insult to fade , without causing too much damage...
Eaen everytime I talk to you seem to shy away, is it because I'm a girl? she says towards eaen knowing fade was next to her, even though she was trying to get along with her, she just had to throw a joke at her one more time...
Eaen just stood there. That's all he could do. Deathstar was a complete and total mystery. One moment she was slinging insults, the next she was trying to make conversation, and then she went back to picking on Fade. He rubbed his eyes and sighed lightly, wondering what was going on in Deathstar's mind. He was about to come to the conclusion that she just likes the attention that people give her after being fed up with her.
After Deathstar had finished making jab after jab against Fade Eaen was a little shocked when she switched the conversation over to him again, and he just shrugged while she made her first comment. The "because I'm a girl" part startled him however.
"No." He said cooly, for the first time meeting Deathstar's gaze with his own. "Actually, I was speaking to Fade just fine a little earlier."
He flicked some hair out of his eyes, finally agreeing with Miguel that is was time for a hair cut, before continuing. "I'd be a little more uncomfortable talking to a hot guy than with a girl."
<"Hey! Eaen you have a spine!">
Eaen was a little flushed when he finished, realizing he had pulled the gay card without really needing to, but he felt it got the point across pretty well.
Having not met Raph, Eaen raised an eyebrow thinking back to what Deathstar had said earlier. "Im guessing Ralph is someone you both know...?"
Deathstar was a little confused with eaen response.. hot guy?..are you trying to tell me something? she asks while trying figure out his motives, you gotta get used to me, I like but i just get along with two people who lives here as she talks she secretly points at fade, assuring him that she is the one that she don't like...
I can tell you don't trust me by the way our standing and your posture, look I'm loyal to all my friends..... she instantly change subjects trying to get rid of the idea that she is trying to befriend Eaen who is ralph?..its better that you asks fade who he is she tells Eaen referring to him asking her about ralph
When Deathstar made the comment about how she was 'better' than Fade, she raised an eyebrow at the odd girl. "And that's exactly why you aren't an X-Man, you can't have that kind of mentality." She sighed before adding "You need quite a bit of work."
However, her facial expression went from annoyed to angered yet again when she mentioned Raph and how cute he was. Yet, knowing that she could not get angry, she settled herself down and chuckled before stating "You only wish he was your type."
Ah, a gay? That may explain a little bit. She mentally responded as he spoke of 'hot guys'. When Deathstar passed the torch to Fade, she replied happily. "Yes and no, I know Raph, she only thinks she knows him." She nodded to Deathstar and continued with a smile, "Raphael is my boyfriend."
well they do say opposite attract.... referring to what fade said about ralph not beaing her type, I guess he likes you, because he felt sorry for ya! she tells fade in a joking manner, I will one day be an X-man and you will have to work with me hand and foot, So get used to me... she tells with a faint smile on her face
deathstar turns towards Eaen, are you trying to tell me something?... referring to the comment he gave about hot guys, is that why your so shy?.... she smiles toward Eaen thinking she solved the reason for Eaen social anxiety Trust me you have nothing worry here, I wouldn't hurt you, but fade on the other hand....just kidding she says jokingly to fade, hoping that she understands that its all fun and games..
"Ohhh..." Eaen nodded to himself. "I get it. Raph is short for Raphael. What a cool name, I'm sure he's a great guy." Eaen smiled lightly before turning his attention to Deathstar.
"Nah, I'm not shy about being gay." Eaen shrugged, his family had pummled it into his head that there was nothing wrong with being gay, in fact he was one of four homosexuals in the family, and he actually didn't know how many bi people there were.
<"So we have a very OPEN family...">
Eaen smiled to himself. 'That we do.'
He became a little confused about the X-Man comment however. "X-Man..." He raised an eyebrow looking from Deathstar to Fade wondering what they meant. Whatever notority Xavier's and/or Tricity's X-Men may have gained over the years was lost on Eaen, living a decently sheltered life in suburban Connecticut.
"What's an... X-Man?" shifted uncomfortably, remembering that he was new, and kept his eyes on Fade, noticing for the first time (hey it had been a pretty stressful library visit thus far) how Fade's eyes changed color. He was fascinated by how they switched from blink to blink, but snapped out of it wondering how weird it must look that he was just staring into her eyes.
<"Dude. I'm pretty sure you don't have to worry about her thinking you're coming on to her.">
Eaen smiled again, everyonce in a while, Miguel could prove amusing.
deathstar noded her head in assurance that she understood what Eaen said, Okay!.. she said shortly after his comment, Ralph and fade are like the new power couple here,........Well for now anyway, until he finds a new woman, who is better looking, has a personality, and is just better overall deathstar flatters herself as if she is this woman, don't take it personal fade, one for me and none for you referring to how many insults she got in on fade...
You never heard of the X-men deathstar looks at fade, with shock hoping she would explain the X-men to Eaen..[/i] You must of had a sheltered life....she says to Eaen , confused on why he never heard of theX-men
Eaen blushed after Deathstar had finished talking and just looked down at the ground. He had heard about mutant activity on the news and such, but as far as he could remember he hadn't heard about the X-Men. Although the only way he was connecting the X-Men to mutant activity was because this WAS a mansion full of mutants so it was plain logic to him.
He glanced between Fade and Deathstar wondering if either of them were going to fill him in. He absent mindedly played with his thumb ring as he went inward to continue his investigation about these "X-Men".
'Well?'
<"Well what?">
'Well, do you know anything about the X-Men?'
<"Besides their weird-ass name? Nah. I got nothing.">
'Are you ever useful?'
<"If you'd give me a bit of control every once in a while I definetly would be really useful.">
Sighing, Eaen decided to start ignoring his cousin, and returned his focus to the two girls in front of him, waiting for either one of them to respond.
"You know, you're really asking for a fist in the face." Fade stated as her fists clenched and she glared at Deathstar before blinking, making her brown eyes turn to violet. "I am typically not riled up easily, but if you're looking for a fight, then you're certainly going about it in the right manner."
Her attention turned to Eaen as she mentally blocked Deathstar from her mind. "Oh, an X-Man is basically someone who protects the mansion and others living outside of the mansion, both human and mutants. We fight for justice and we do what we can when we are needed."
Her fists dropped, only for a moment, but when she turned back and merely glanced at Deathstar, she clenched her teeth and her fists balled up again. "What are you doing here anyways?" She asked, not understanding why she was here if she just wanted to cause trouble and havoc. Why didn't she go and join those that fought for the wrong cause? Relax, Jenny, you used to be the same way, well, maybe not as bad, but you led a bad life. You didn't have feelings for anyone, just relax, maybe she'll cool off and change...nah, no hope for her but to alter her memory. She mentally chuckled as a picture of Deathstar being knocked out ran through her mind.
