The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kaz nearly choked when when Nicki said 'Abyss' tightie whities'. Kaz wrapped his arms around Nicki, one at her waist and one on her upper back, his hand rubbing her neck lightly. He pulled her close to him, to his bare chest. "I'll remember that." He said softly. He kissed her deeply. Kaz's mind was blank of all words. Emotions was a different thing. He was excited, happy, and a bit nervous. Not knowing where this will go, but knowing where it COULD go. He didn't want to push or rush anything. If something were to happen, he wanted Nicki to be the one to decide. Hell, he doesn't have a clue whether she's been with a guy or not. Not thinking of what was going on, as he was fully entranced and focused on Nicki, he didn't realized they had moved to his bed and sat down.

Kaz looked at Nicki as she pulled back. Kaz took it as she wanted to stop. Which he wasn't upset about. He wanted it to be her decision after all. Confusion set in a bit when she said he was nervous instead of her. This made him unsure if she wanted to or not. "I.." Chuckling slightly and softly. "I know I'm older than you." <What the hell does that have to do with anything?!> He scolded himself. "I don't know...what you've done or if you've done anything with anyone else. Not that other people matter but.." Sighing. "I don't know where this is going. I know where I'd like it to go...but not if you don't want to or if you're not ready." Taking a deep breath, he kissed her forehead. "I want you to decide when it's right for you. I don't want to rush or pressure you." His voice was soft and caring as he spoke.

Nicki tried not to laugh. Hearing Kaz completely out of control was kinda funny to be honest, especially over something that Nicki viewed as rather silly. She smiled, leaning in and returning the kiss on the forehead.
"Kaz, I know you wouldn't push me. I know you'd be cool with anything I decided. I know you're older, and yes, that doesn't matter. But I know what that made you think. You thought that somehow because you were older you were tricking me into something. But if there's one thing I'm not, I'm not dumb. And when we do something, it won't be cause you tricked me" Nicki smiled sweetly. "It's also not gonna be right now." she smiled and leaned in a little, kissing Kaz again. "That doesn't mean that I don't get to kiss you and that doesn't mean that I don't get to be in deep appreciation for the fact that you're near naked" she smiled.

Kaz smiled at the girl. Never once did he think her stupid. He really hoped she didn't think he did. It would be a lie to say he wasn't somewhat disappointed when she said it wouldn't be right now. But he also knew waiting would make it all the better when it did happen....if it happened. Kaz's brain froze for a moment wondering where the hell that came from. Dismissing it as his brain over working. "Yeah, you get to have all the fun." Kaz said playfully as he kissed Nicki on the neck softly. Despite how his chest rose and fell evenly with each breath, inside he wasn't as calm as his body let on. Kaz thought he heard something within Nicki's words about her sex life. Though he didn't push it thinking if she wants me to know, she'll tell me when she's ready. "Ya know," He paused with a grin on his face. "I think we need to even this out a bit. We should have a swim or something. Then I won't be the only one near naked." Kaz winked at her.

Nicki could hear all the things that Kaz wasn't going to ask. The boy seemed to have forgotten that ever since their first encounter, where Kaz opened his mind to her, she could read him as clearly as she could a book. There was no digging where Kaz was concerned. He said when, no if, and then crucified himself for it, not even realizing that she had said the same thing. And she heard him start to question her sex life. Nicki couldn't help but laugh a little. "Kaz," she started, "You always think that when I don't tell you something it has something to do with my level of trust in you. Sometimes honey, it has purely to do with I don't know how comfortable you'll be knowing everything about my past" Nicki filled in, looking towards Kaz.
Kaz's offer of a swim helped to lighten the mood slightly. "There's a pool around here huh?" she asked, looking over to Kaz as she sat up a little straighter. "Cause that would actually be kinda fun" Nicki smiled a little brighter.

Kaz didn't forget about the link, but he didn't think about it. Laughing at himself. "Its..." Sighing. "I guess I'm use to being around people who can't hear my thoughts. I don't question your trust in me....at least...I...don't realize...if I do." His last sentence was filled with confusion as if he was searching his mind. "When I don't ask, verbally, I guess I'm trying to be polite and...yeah." Kaz reached up and scratched his head absently. "Ya know...so I don't pry. So you'll tell me when you're ready." Kaz took Nicki's hand in his, holding it firmly but also in a caring way. "Your past is the past. It happened, I can't change it, neither can you. Why should I get mad or upset over what already happened in your past?" Looking at her hand then back to her eyes. "I want, to know more about you. Whatever you feel comfortable sharing with me." He smiled sweetly to her.
"Yeah, on the roof." Kaz gave her a sly smile. "I don't know if you have a swimsuit under there, but somehow I doubt it. So that might be a problem."

Nicki smiled and leaned in, kissing Kaz sweetly. "My ex and I were together since I was 13. When I was 14 I thought that I had to do what he wanted. He didn't pressure me, I just thought it was expected of me. It was...weird. He was like any other 16 year old in his first relationship too. It wasn't his fault you know?" Nicki shrugged a little, thinking about it differently than she ever had before. When it was still going on, when she was still with her ex, she told everyone it was amazing. "It really wasn't..." she smiled sweetly, absolutely believing it.
"Yes Kaz, but ever noticed that a set of bra and panties looks amazingly like a bikini?" she smiled sweetly.

Kaz nodded and listened as Nicki told him more about her past. It didn't seem like a bad memory to her, but also not a particularly good one either. "It wasn't your fault." He didn't say it judgmentally, just honestly as he saw it. He gave her hand a gentle squeeze as he looked into her eyes. He was glad she told him. He liked knowing more. Kaz didn't believe he had to say or think it for her to know the thank you that was there.
He stood up holding her hand and smirked. "Nope, I never noticed that." A sly smile on his face. "Common." He walked backwards a few paces watching her. Kaz lead her to a circular staircase that lead up to the roof. Exiting the door on the roof it looked like an empty roof. He let go of her hand and went to a small console, pressing a few buttons, four slaps of concrete retracted to show a large, clear, clean pool that, the sunlight reflecting off the water. A few other slaps retracted into the rooftop, a deck with lawn chairs rose from the roof, along with a grilling area and an entertainment area with a tv, stereo and speakers.

Nicki smiled and kissed Kaz's hand. "I know it wasn't my fault. There really isn't any blame to be given in that situation: it was just two kids who didn't know anything playing grown up." Nicki smiled, rolling her eyes at herself. "I sound so high and mighty...like I'm such an adult now..." Nicki laughed.
Her mouth dropped as they got to the top of the buidling. Watching everything reveal itself, Nicki looked over to Kaz. "Yeah...definitely had to be 12 banks...one bank wouldn't have done it..."

"You're more adult than a lot of people love. That I can assure you." He knew it was true. Look at Syn for cripes sake. He enjoyed watching Nicki's reaction to everything revile itself . He couldn't hold his smile and laugh back. "Oh yeah, I could name them, but the names are on the plaques downstairs." He removed his socks with his toes as he moved towards the grilling area. "You hungry or thirsty at all?" Looking at Nicki. "Well, what are you waiting for? Jump in." He said with a chuckle.

Nicki looked around again, smiling. She looked over at Kaz..it was hard to see a criminal in the man. It was hard to see the bad side in him when he spent so much time showing Nicki the good one. She smiled happily, sitting down in a chair and starting to untie her shoes.
"You know, the twins are gonna be so bummed that you've left the Order. Specially...Vibe I think? Yeah, Vibe" Nicki smiled, looking over at Kaz.

Kaz was standing at the grill getting it ready, getting the coals in the right position for the best and even cooking before he lit them. A few more button presses on a different panel had the fridge and freezer as well as a counter with a spice rack and other such things, with plates, glasses and silverware come up from the kitchen below. Opening the fridge he pulled out a plate with that had a few T-Bone steaks. He made sure they were good to eat and fully thawed. Setting it on the counter he began to tenderize the meat. "How do you like your steak?" He called over his shoulder. There were some potatoes in the cabinet under the counter. Pulling them out he wrapped them in tinfoil and poked holes in them so they'd cook easier. After getting things ready he grabbed a coke and a rootbeer from the fridge and walked over to Nicki.
Midway there he caught what she said. His eyebrow raised and his face showed his confusion. "Why do you say that? And why would Vibe have more of a problem than anyone else?" He was deffinantly curious. He handed the coke to Nicki as he sat down in a chair next to her a small glass table between them.

Nicki smiled as she continued to pull off her shoes and socks. "Medium rare please".
She took the coke from Kaz and opened it up, taking a sip before setting it down on the table between them. She smiled knowingly at her boyfriend. "Oooh, I don't know. Maybe cause she has a bit of a crush on you..." Nicki smiled slyly.

Kaz was taking a sip of his pop when Nicki told him about Vibe. The liquid caught in his throat as he began to choke. Setting the can down he wiped the bit of pop that had escaped his lips with the back of his hand. "What?" He coughed as he tried to swallow the pop. Never would he have expected to hear that. Getting his composure back. "Where...how did you...." Laughing at himself. "Never mind. She thought something like that right." It wasn't a question but a statement. "Does she know you know?" Kaz was fully curious now. The situation was humorous to him.
