The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

I'm going to nominate Raina (who hasn't been nominated yet, Damian, how could you miss so many people? Here's a few more you've missed: me, Shaun, Sentinal, Raven fire, skoliro, grease, mandain, rupert, terrance and fiona to list a few) anywho I'm nominating Raina for playing her character realisticly (I like her reaction to the Iris craziness, and a little emotional breakdown is always fun ^^).

Why do you people continue to list those who haven't been nominated? It's disrespectful. And childish. If someone isn't nominated, they know it. No need to throw it out there in their face and whatnot.
I'm asking that these posts be removed because of what I just said:

Hmmmm......So every member is nominated now except Me, Syn, Tric, and Opressor.

Ted, I ask that you removed everything except for your nomination, and reason why:

I am going to have to agree with Kaz and state that it is, on a slight level, rude to mention who has not been nominated and then not nominate them. However, I would say that on another degree, it tells those that have not been nominated that they are being thought of, so in another manner, it is respectful. It is a 50-50 battle and it all depends on how one takes it.
On another reminder, this board is for nominations only, not mentioning non-nominations. So all you should post on this is a nomination and an occasional 'thank you for nominating me, here is who I nominate' post.
I do hope that I have not been rude in my post, I shall edit this post as well. I will nominate Syn as my personal choice and I do not believe I have to put why because if you do not know why I have nominated her than you have placed yourself behind times.

I think all of you are being kinda dumb about who hasnt or has been nominated. We're making as big a fuss over people who haven't been nominated as the actual posts keeping track of who's been nominated. it's not childish or disrecpetful- I think that's a bit of an over reaction. No offence intended for the people who think that way, but hey I havent been here long but in every nomination threads there's someone who points out who has/hasn't been nominated because when these threads gets long most of us dont always have the time to skin through and read every nomination. Personally, I've found it helpful in past threads.
But there's no need for everyone to get all upset about it, if it did offend anyone, it seems like an honest mistake to me. Plus, this is the internet, so it's not like there's body language or tone of voice involved. You can't really guess at someone's intentions. Either way, I see both sides, and I figure we should all just let that one go. Speaking as the teacher that I am lol
ANyway!!!!! Thanks Ted for such a detailed nomination! ^_^
I nominate Ted, (not cuz he nominated me, lol I nominated him last time too) because I really enjoyed his thread with Shield. I like that Ted's character has a mutation that is somewhat uncontrollable, but yet he still makes it believable without being too agressive in the posting. There's much to be said for subtleness!
Also, I recomend Rupert aka Calley, because seriously, have you read any of those posts? They're hilarious! Calley is a fantastic writer and even if you arn't in the threads you can have fun reading them!
In the words of Forrest Gump: Thats all I have to say about that

err that "you're all being dumb" part came out much more harsh then I intended. I meant for it to sound funny, but reading it back, it just sounds bad. lol. So I apologise, please take that in the most comedic way possible. I dont actually think anyone here has less smarts!

Raina, I don't know what the policy here is exactly about this, cuz no one does it: Modify button, double post=bad.
But to what you said, yes it was harsh, but I've done my share of harsh comments/posts, so I can't say anything against it And If I had seen it in the other ones, I would have said something then. But as All I've done is Nominated or said thanks and then waited for the pole to start up. I didn't pay attention much.
Despite what you think, it IS disrespectful. After thinking about what Fade said for a bit, I've come to believe even mentioning them and NOT nominating them is disrespectful.
IMHO IF you are going to mention someone who hasn't been nominated yet, you better nominate them or else it's like a slap in the face. Period. 'Oh hey ___isn't nominated, but I'm not gonna nominate them.' Get what I'm saying. Good. Though I understand what Fade meant, it is nice to know you're being thought of, but like I said, unless you're going to nominate them, it's a slap in the face.
Also, I find that posting saying you yourself haven't been nominated is childish. Drawing attention to yourself, it's almost like whining, and searching for a pity nomination. As you said Raina, body language and voice don't travel over the net (unless you have a camera and mic....) so it gets taken as is, unless someone puts something like 'jk' or 'lol' or some statement after it to show they aren't being serious or what the really mean by their words.
This thread and other like it are for NOMINATIONS not NON-NOMINATIONS. It really is that simple.

Well, I guess I'll add my two cents as well.
Thanks all for the nomination. And sorry its a bit late, but I second (or third, or forth, or whatever number it may be) those already nominated. Especially Calley (as stated, for the hilarious posts) and Kitra (for her patience, funness (is that a word?) and generally good attitude. I have a good feeling her future posts will reflect all of that as well.)

I have an idea. We ask Lady J to make it a rule; the only thing allowed to be posted in nominations threads are who you are nominating and why, and possibly a thanks if someone nominated you earlier in the thread. That way we avoid any more confusion like this. I'm sorry if my post caused me to appear at all disrespectful or childish or anything else like that.
