Five Forty-Five AM. Well, Forty-Three. Courtney had an alarm set to wake her up if it came to it, but her own internal clock woke her up day in and day out, like… well, clockwork.
Sliding out of her silk sheets, Courtney walked into her washroom to start her morning routine and shower. She emerged from the steam ten minutes later; any longer under the stream of a warm shower and she would start slowing down. Her undergarments, white blouse, and charcoal grey pencil skirt were waiting for her when she dried off, set there the night before.
Five Fifty-Six and her coffee maker finished pouring her a cup thanks to the timer it was set on. She grabbed the ingredients to make herself a simple omelet while her bread was toasting. She would leave her apartment at Six Oh-Five, walk to the ferry just in time to catch the Six Twenty. From there, a nice twenty-five minutes to Manhattan and seven minutes to get her to The Sapphire. As she cooked, her tablet was beside the stove so she could scroll through her day.
It was a typical day, and she made note of each task and appointment until she made it to the end of her work day. No reason not to check on that as well.
The dragon’s lips curled into a grin. Dinner with acquaintances would be useful for unwinding, but she was more excited for her evening appointment. Given Ms. Van Hart's... intensity, it was usually best not to schedule anything after her appointments for the sake of recovery time.
Quickly eating her breakfast, Courtney locked up the house and went about her daily routine. Six Fifty-Five.
Courtney sat herself behind the main desk of the lobby, dropping the area around her a few degrees with her presence. After a brief encounter with Ms. Cervantes to clarify her morning schedule, Courtney got to work checking through emails and awaiting oncoming calls. The waterfall in the open lobby provided consistent, calming background noise; much different than working at the Club, though not nearly as much of a thrill.
For now, Courtney would be a good girl and do her work, ready to talk to anyone who might come in.
