The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

He did do a rather good job of helping Lee wake up in the mornings, didn’t he? Tarin kept smiling that happy little smile when Lee kissed him and said that she would have trusted him to wake her for a while now. It also probably made at least a bit of a difference that she wasn’t sleeping alone at this point.
All of these things were good things and Tarin just snuggled in a little closer. Surely it wasn’t all that late. It was weird though, not knowing what time it was and he glanced over Lee’s shoulder again. ”What time is it?” he asked, curious how close his internal clock was…and maybe just a little curious about how long they were going to be able to stay like this before they had to get up.
This particularly Thursday was about as normal as it got for Tarin, he had a reasonable slate of regulars to see at the shop later and planned to send a couple of texts related to the idea he’d had when he and Lee had been at the Mansion the other night. Depending on what happened there, Friday might be a busy day, but that remained to be seen.

For the majority of her life, the idea of just lounging around in bed after waking up was an impossibility. Yet now, here with Tarin doing just that was a rather common occurrence. But even necessarily doing anything, just laying there, a bit of talking, but really just simply spending time with each other.
The really surprising thing was that there were some mornings where Lee almost didn't even need coffee after spending the night so close to Tarin and then him helping her to wake up.
And on this particular morning, they didn't even know what time it was as they continued to lay in bed together.
But that was probably something they probably needed to figure out. The shop hours were flexible, but Tarin still needed to be there for his first customer.
Heaving a dramatic sigh, Lee rolled over to check the time on her phone. ”We’re too late to run this morning,” she told Tarin as she looked back at him. ”But we've got 20 minutes before we have to get out of bed.”

They had slept in, Tarin realized as Lee pointed out that running was out of the question and they only had 20 minutes before they had to get up.
Still, it had been, and absolutely still was worth it and Tarin stretched a little bit to shake the last pins and needles from his arm before going back to doing nothing and laying there looking at Lee with a happy little smile on his face.
”Well, twenty minutes is twenty minutes.” he said, ”If we are going to sleep in, we’re going to do it right.” That settled, Tarin snuggled right back down into the bed. One day being a layabout wsan’t going to hurt anything in the long run. Besides, he’d have been an idioit to give up five minutes, let alone twenty minutes of this kind of time with Lee.
