Mae smiled as she watched the sun started to dip under the horizon. She had worked her way up the roof, a combination of a Liabrary window on the thirs floor and a bit of climbing to find a comfortable perch. She had not tried actual star gazing since she had arrived at the Mansion and she was unsure how well it would work out with all the light pollution of the city but she figured she could get a better picture then with her natural eyes. Still a bit of height would certainly help as well she figured. She was glad it was a windless night and that the temperature had reached almost fifty. She had however underestimates the height of the mansion.
She had not considered letting anyone know she was out here and did not give it a thought as she closed her eyes and took in a breath, The Tendrils shot off her wrists with their usual wet squeak. She winced at the slight noise realizing she should have let them out a bit slower to lower the noise. She glanced at the sky and saw the sun finally fade under the horizon. The Milky white eyes blinked open as she moved the tendrils to point at the sky.
Mae felt her skin tingle and a shiver run through her body as the eyes focused and her mind began to greedily taking in the images she was seeing. She was still getting use to the feeling, the xraving for stimulation her mind now had. She managed to find the big dipper as a point of reference then moved on to try and see Andromeda which she was able to find with a glance at her notebook with her main eyes, She could make out some of the detail but not as much as she would of liked. She was not sure if it was the eyes or if their was still to much light, the sun had just recently gone down she thought. Only now did she consider waiting a few hours might of been helpful.
