The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Nationality/Ethnicity: England Birthplace: England
Personality: Fever is private and aloof. He doesn't worry about other people much and often has his own agenda. The groups he affiliates with will never have his true loyalty, as he is attracted by power and will often change to adapt to the winning team. He's very deceptive, although he also hates bullies and those who take advantage of the weak and has been known to defend those who need defending. He likes very expensive things and will do almost anything for money or power, though with him neither lasts long. His self-professed weakness is that he can never be truly cold - he'd like to be callous and uncaring to the world, as he thinks emotion hinders him, but his moral conscience never fails to intervene when it comes to hurting the innocent or targeting someone for a crime who will not recover. He finds it difficult to imagine a greater good, and therefore does not try to help create one - however, unless it directly benefits him he won't go out of his way to be bad either.
Allegiance (Good, Bad, or Neutral): Neutral
Everyday clothing: Casual, always a mix of light and dark colours. He dresses in his own distinct style.

Pajamas: Designer underwear.
Hair color and style: Dark brown, brushed forward over his forehead. Eye color: Crystalline blue. Height: 5'11'' Build: Athletic Scars: None Tattoos: None Piercings: None
(Update - okay, so this was probably the worst kept secret on MRO. Lol I'm going to let everyone know about Fever's real powers now, so when the breakout happens there won't be so much confusion about how he suddenly became super-powerful) Description of ability(ies): Fever has the ability to create intense feelings of agitation, passion or anger. He can send a crowd into a frenzy, or put one individual into a state of debilitating lust. It's very effective for creating confusion and choas, especially when he uses different effects at one time. The physical representation of his power is that people feel uneasy, irritated and distracted, often sweating, shivering and suffering from headache. Their temperatures increase to unusual levels and their heartrate increases, as if suffering from fever. His natural state is to be controlled by his powers - sanity and lucidity were never meant to be part of his genetic makeup. If Mathew allows himself the full use of his powers, he's a level 5 mutant able to cripple entire cities with intense, irrepressable emotions - an almost unstoppable mutant, a force of nature. At his full strength it's possible for him to literally make hearts explode with the pressure, or make people convulse so badly that their bones snap like twigs. An apt comparison would be the emotional equivalent of a perpetually active nuclear explosion.
Cons (weaknesses) of ability(ies): If alone with one person, Fever can cause untold choas with that person's bodily functions, to the point of sending the victim mad or giving them a heart attack. However, it gets weaker the more people he tries to effect - a busy street can be controlled, but an entire airport, for example, would only suffer minor headaches and a feeling of unease. Fever finds it hard to conrol his powers and often loses control when he's feeling an emotion himself - if he is angry, the room will be angry, if he is turned on, the entire room will feel lust. If he allows himself to lose control, he will become an engine of chaos, hatred and fiery passion, and his powers are then incredible, not bound by the limits of how many are affected - however, to maintain his sanity and safety he must keep his powers under control at all times. Should Mathew lose control and allow his powers to take over, as he is genetically designed to do, he loses all sense and reason. He's basically a walking ability, with no conscience or control, and his powers are never off - he constantly radiates a dangerous presence, and everyone near him suffers an emotional influx of insane proportions. He's incredibly weak to psychics in this state, as he has no way of mentally defending himself; his mind is a maze of chaos and confusion which even he himself cannot navigate.
Fighting style (if any): Fever isn't a disciplined fighter - he fights tooth and nail, as dirty as he has to be to win. History of your character: Mathew Mitchell was born in Enlgand, March 3rd 1989. When his mother was carrying him, she was subject to incredibly violent moodswings - it's thought that his powers manifested themselves even then. However, he spent much of his childhood normal, in the south where it's hottest in England. His powers became dormant through childhood, until he was a young teenager - his mother left town for a weekend and he threw a party. Being the first time he got drunk, it made him uncontrollable and emotional - the other teenagers at the party started to become irritated, then frustrated, and the drunker he got the more irate the guests behaved. The alcohol made him lose control of his senses, and this was the chance his powers had been waiting for - he reached fever-pitch and lost control of himself, losing all reason and sense, and the party became a small riot. Many people were injured, and it went into the local paper as a mass orgy/gang war/street party. Most of the locals put it down to teenage hysteria fuelled by drink and moodiness. After this event Mathew woke up seemingly normal, but his life was never to be the same. His powers had emerged and would make themselves known in many ways in the years to come, almost driving him insane - the moments when he lost control and lost his sense of self to the hate and passion greatly inhibited his ability to socialise affectively and he became a recluse, trying to avoid large groups of people. However, he has learned some degree over his powers now and, while still preferring to avoid large groups of people, he went to New York after hearing of several groups of mutants who might be able to help him learn more about his abilities.
*Smiles wider than ever at Syn* Then I guess we've got outselves a regular challenge, Syn. Careful you don't get burned - there's not much room to stretch my wings in the camp... but when I get out, we'll see who does and who does not know what they are getting into.
Challenge accepted. But since you're apparently in the camps then you're already off to a bad start. Seems to me you would've used your power to keep from going into the camps. tsk tsk tsk. *shakes head*
No, not psychic based, Syn. He manipulates chemicals in the body which is what causes the shivering, sweating and panting. Lol
Update: Scratch that. The origin of Fever's power is now by force of his personality; it can be loosely described as a psionic, though it still the effect is still on neurotransmitters and not brainwaves. *Winks at Syn* Fever keeps his promises... most of the time!
Only superficially, Kaz. Fever's keeping his real power close to his chest for the time being. *Smiles cagily at Kaz and dismisses his statement with an arrogant flick of the wrist*
